8863  Other / Off-topic / Re: I Have Something To Confess on: March 28, 2014, 04:08:08 AM
I have something to confess.

I'm a fucking tree. I was one of the biggest trees, and a nice man and woman planted me. I hate keeping lies, so this is for my girlfriend Lilly, brother Jack, James, Heinz, and Sawyer. Good luck guys.

And also please don't be racist towards trees guys. It would hurt everybody's feelings that are in your backyard.

Ask me any question you like about me being a tree.

Was there a certain Johnny that planted you and did he have an appleseed  Grin

8868  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia Invades Ukraine. Whats next? on: March 28, 2014, 01:20:56 AM
Well letting a former KGB agent to become a president is not wise, but also leaving him unpunished for not respecting international law,
is all another thing. I hope economical changes that European union took, and helped Ukraine with 16 BILLION eur will at least help to suppress Russian
dictature that is spreading through eastern Europe. Whats next? Taking whole Ukraine? Just imagine that, we could be standing on the edge before WW3.

international law  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
don't make me laugh  Cheesy Cheesy

We are so mean to the Poor UN lol but its so true
8869  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: March 28, 2014, 01:19:44 AM
You can value them as beliefs, don't you value your feelings and opinions?

Feelings are all to common and overrated, shouldn't we just get rid of them and be like a rock?

Are not feelings the product of emotion and therefore irrational?

But don't these irrationalities separate us from the beast or have we been wrong the whole time?
8870  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: March 28, 2014, 01:15:09 AM

if BTC suddenly hit $10k

(That and level up wallet security a few more gages in natural fear and paranoia)

I say ‘increasingly’ because at one time it was fairly well-informed libertarians but as the currency has become mainstream, it’s attracted more poorly-informed individuals and the conversation have become more polarized and less knowledge-based, driving the well-informed and balanced people away, or at least prompting them to recede into the background.”

“[Dogecoin] has all the features of bitcoin – technologically speaking – but frees itself from the libertarian culture of bitcoin that turns off so much of the mainstream.”

It's official, the "bitcoin culture" drives users to altcoins, which are the future.

Well he's fairly cocky the little runt then again he created a troll meme coin that has successfully launched and gained traction and has a developer team behind it so he is not a shitcoin lol.

Anyways the field may be even for now in that regard until the next layer security is built then we will start seeing even more separation from the standard coins and the ones that can take off further

I'll give him that one but that's the curse of mass adoption eventually we get down to the mainstream and find idiots and we started pretty high on that bell curve so it was to be expected.

Not necessarily a bad thing though since the endgoal is to be mainstream

Well Death To Central Banks but Valid point here

For the first time in history, Wong said, the world has a low-friction electronic payments and trust-delegation system, which is valuable in its own right. In essence, there is no need for any ideology, since digital currencies are a powerful concept on their own.

“It couldn’t be stupider, and that’s why it’s brilliant,” he concluded.

Well I'll give him that anyways interesting read back to killing clone coins Tongue
8873  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: March 28, 2014, 12:35:07 AM
A bit of speculation:

Looking at this pic of AM hardware

I calculated they are currently using 2944 chips per device.

If they swap out those 0.33 gh/s chips with 12 gh/s chips it would equate to 35 th/s overall making it by far the most powerful miner.

For some reason your image wouldn't load so I guess it is forbidden

403. That’s an error.

Your client does not have permission to get URL /eVF1AmU0Jc9P_1jUYDYX5CgRXjf_2FWXNmKUOBx87vsX9Fl0wSSl_pNe4M7Z-BwuXA=w1563-h811 from this server. (Client IP address: 209.89.18.91)

Forbidden That’s all we know.

so no divs this week ? that is a first Sad

That would be quite sad makes the wait seem longer now
8875  Economy / Speculation / Re: $300 or $800 next? on: March 27, 2014, 05:59:19 PM
The scary thing is that anything is possible at this point. The announcement of the IRS taxing Bitcoin has already caused it to fall 11% in the past 24 hours, one of the biggest drops since the Mt. Gox incident. If something similar were to happen again now, I could certainly see it going under $300.

However that's quite unlikely. A lot of people have buy orders in the $400 range, including myself. I think Bitcoin will slowly recover and continue to rise. I certainly wouldn't be selling right now.

My vote goes for $800.

Long term the price will rise and there is a lot of support each time we go down a tiny bit

A huge problem in the protocol or something similar is always possible but it is probably priced in and unlikely
A huge problem in the protocol is definitely not priced in.

Well the split issue with two blockchains for a bit and the problem with Gox I say it is partially priced in now
8876  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy $10,000 worth of BTC right now? on: March 27, 2014, 05:50:30 PM
Buy whatever you can afford to loose. Bitcoin prices will bounce back, but may not be too soon. So, don't buy bitcoins with your rent money Cheesy

Well it is going down quite a bit now actually just a range decline but yep pay that rent then invest even if its a tiny amount
8877  Economy / Speculation / Re: Over 70BTC bet that Bitcoin will be $10,000 by end of 2014 on: March 27, 2014, 05:45:11 PM
1/4 of 2014 has already passed. This isn't a smart bet, as we would need a really major event for such a price increase.

Not quite a 100% fact though LaudaM very likely though that it will not be 10K

Guess an annotation is do you think Bitcoin can reach the utility level of google this year
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-12/complete-annotated-price-history-bitcoin

http://venturebeat.com/2013/11/27/bitcoin-was-worth-10-a-year-ago-today-its-worth-1000/

So a lot can happen in one year of course now its 500-600 Smiley
So that 1000% Movement probably won't be replicated this year but the year is young

Also relating to my previous post based a bit on this
https://www.tradingview.com/v/7YEmxS3K/
Well I'm not saying that it won't happen, but the chances are very slim.

I agree very slim but the risk could be worth it since its a gamble after all
Then again the No side gives you 17% more Bitcoins than you had originally so hedge lol
8878  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: March 27, 2014, 05:32:58 PM
it wil reach $10,000 one day, not only 1,000. i do believe this .

There is one other thread which says " Will 1 Bitcoin will Reach 1 million usd one day? " that is the thread where people confident about btc reaching 1k$ or 10k$ posts about it reaching 1million$ and i see the same kind of optimism there..! but no substance to back claims

Finally, this post is a bit outdated

million dollars post : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=517622.0

Interesting now we can all speculate on the future from the 2009 early adopter perspectives Smiley
It's not interesting to speculate in a thread about whether it'll hit 1 mil usd, this thread is still viable. If you haven't noticed we're not at 1000 usd. Smiley

I'll give you that one this thread will likely die naturally once we stabilize above 1000 for now its more like when will it hit 1 K again
8879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 27, 2014, 05:28:32 PM
one thing to consider, which of these coins have working testnets? either as a built in option by setting the --testnet flag, or a separate repo branch to get around any technical hurdles of the defacto testnet mode. IMO, if the developer went to the time to atleast implement testnet, it might not be a pump and dump.

That's an interesting factor actually not sure how many altcoins do come with built in testnets but if they do might stand a bit more legitimacy as a currency than one without it not universal but as a guideline
8880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge4Nascar on: March 27, 2014, 05:21:16 PM
This is good promotional idea. I wonder if its possible to get the driver's helmet customized to doge's head. More people may donate even more doge to that cause.  Grin

That would be pretty funny/freaky.

Actually now I am imagining the Driver Cam and we See a Giant Shiba Inu Head going through national television
Big Doge is watching you in an epic way haha
