Ok, this is what I was looking for to complement what I said in a prior post about BTC ownership: “The custody system has 3 keys, 2 of which are always necessary for transactions, and is structured as follows: 1. a key is on the customer’s smartphone; 2. a key is on the Conio servers; 3. a key is kept by Hype offline and is divided between different operators. To operate, the customer just needs to use his key: Conio automatically uses his own. If the customer loses the phone, Conio blocks any transaction. The key in Hype is used by the customer only in emergencies, to recover his funds.
The above looks like the customer does not really have the conventional private keys, but rather security is managed by a layer of security provided by distributed keys for use within the platform. That should be taken into consideration and studied in greater detail by the potential customers. I would infer from the above that the bank is the custodial really (if anyone from Italy can further clarify, please do (fillippone? – this may hopefully summon him to this thread …)) See: https://dailyhodl.com/2020/03/21/private-bank-launching-bitcoin-btc-trading-for-huge-customer-base-amid-ongoing-lockdown/Note: The service is Beta-testing, and is not expected to roll-out until end of month (according to the above article).

I’ll look into it further along if I can. The silly little think that currently calls for a pre-calculation onf the information (as opposed to deriving the race information from the granular data already present on the Merit Dashboard) is the sorting by rank feature. I gave it a longish go last week-end, but did not find a way other than by pre-calculating for each day. Pre-calculating does open the option to finding some fun facts, like which was the top rank position and when the first occurrence took place of that position, in contrast with the current position: user_id name nBestPosition DateOfPositon nCurrentPos 2143453 1miau 13 2019-09-09 23:59:59.000 14 1878246 abhiseshakana 13 2019-07-30 23:59:59.000 23 290195 achow101 10 2019-08-29 23:59:59.000 12 465017 actmyname 10 2018-01-27 23:59:59.000 96 1762404 Alex_Sr 33 2019-03-10 23:59:59.000 89 1580039 asche 40 2018-03-15 23:59:59.000 80 1015954 aundroid 57 2018-01-28 23:59:59.000 75 1169179 BitCryptex 38 2019-03-12 23:59:59.000 50 1554927 bitmover 24 2018-07-06 23:59:59.000 44 1018510 Blacknavy 5 2018-01-24 23:59:59.000 100 579628 bob123 19 2019-09-12 23:59:59.000 34 569455 BobLawblaw 8 2018-01-25 23:59:59.000 52 64205 Carlton Banks 13 2018-02-03 23:59:59.000 56 879277 Coding Enthusiast 34 2018-01-30 23:59:59.000 60 1339716 coinlocket$ 22 2019-04-26 23:59:59.000 58 1980983 Coolcryptovator 46 2019-02-21 23:59:59.000 62 2005913 Corrosive 68 2018-04-16 23:59:59.000 85 1052091 CryptopreneurBrainboss 63 2019-12-27 23:59:59.000 71 507936 DarkStar_ 17 2018-01-26 23:59:59.000 48 1582324 DdmrDdmr 2 2019-01-19 23:59:59.000 5 2003859 DireWolfM14 32 2020-02-29 23:59:59.000 33 580327 eddie13 51 2018-03-02 23:59:59.000 86 1067333 El duderino_ 5 2019-04-15 23:59:59.000 6 359716 ETFbitcoin 33 2019-03-27 23:59:59.000 53 1852120 fillippone 7 2020-01-29 23:59:59.000 7 155345 gentlemand 24 2018-02-06 23:59:59.000 37 11425 gmaxwell 10 2019-12-31 23:59:59.000 10 1039323 Goran_ 30 2018-02-02 23:59:59.000 74 181806 HairyMaclairy 11 2018-01-24 23:59:59.000 24 867786 HCP 15 2019-08-03 23:59:59.000 19 881377 Hhampuz 8 2018-01-24 23:59:59.000 22 397737 hilariousetc 5 2018-09-18 23:59:59.000 15 1059082 hugeblack 15 2018-01-24 23:59:59.000 68 1827294 Husna QA 39 2018-05-04 23:59:59.000 47 1291828 iasenko 16 2018-01-24 23:59:59.000 20 2204241 ICOEthics 37 2019-06-11 23:59:59.000 99 1094195 igor72 86 2019-01-13 23:59:59.000 93 41175 infofront 17 2018-02-19 23:59:59.000 88 252510 JayJuanGee 13 2018-01-25 23:59:59.000 32 698159 Jet Cash 7 2018-08-05 23:59:59.000 38 49008 jojo69 6 2018-01-24 23:59:59.000 55 1275282 joniboini 9 2018-05-16 23:59:59.000 45 487377 Kalemder 30 2018-01-25 23:59:59.000 84 1000199 krogothmanhattan 10 2018-05-18 23:59:59.000 30 805820 Lafu 55 2018-01-26 23:59:59.000 94 479624 Last of the V8s 4 2018-07-08 23:59:59.000 8 101872 Lauda 2 2018-01-24 23:59:59.000 29 379487 LFC_Bitcoin 17 2020-03-13 23:59:59.000 17 1982152 lovesmayfamilis 60 2019-12-18 23:59:59.000 64 459836 LoyceV 2 2019-01-21 23:59:59.000 2 1894120 madnessteat 81 2020-03-07 23:59:59.000 83 787736 marlboroza 9 2018-01-31 23:59:59.000 36 1283017 masulum 76 2018-03-22 23:59:59.000 82 2033515 mikeywith 13 2019-12-28 23:59:59.000 13 176777 mindrust 34 2018-01-29 23:59:59.000 92 346731 minerjones 6 2018-01-25 23:59:59.000 70 886521 mk4 44 2018-01-30 23:59:59.000 91 405464 mocacinno 10 2018-01-24 23:59:59.000 66 1424178 mole0815 21 2018-02-03 23:59:59.000 67 1825672 morvillz7z 51 2019-09-20 23:59:59.000 59 1574226 mu_enrico 36 2019-05-07 23:59:59.000 54 1237156 nc50lc 38 2018-01-25 23:59:59.000 72 976210 nullius 3 2018-02-17 23:59:59.000 35 317618 nutildah 15 2019-10-25 23:59:59.000 16 1188543 o_e_l_e_o 4 2019-10-09 23:59:59.000 4 1304130 pandukelana2712 8 2018-01-29 23:59:59.000 79 1071136 PHI1618 19 2018-02-18 23:59:59.000 81 64507 philipma1957 9 2018-01-24 23:59:59.000 61 188198 Piggy 13 2018-11-24 23:59:59.000 63 379147 pooya87 31 2020-03-12 23:59:59.000 31 358020 Quickseller 28 2018-01-25 23:59:59.000 97 24140 qwk 18 2019-05-08 23:59:59.000 27 2627711 Ratimov 68 2020-03-11 23:59:59.000 69 1051955 roycilik 31 2019-04-20 23:59:59.000 41 38894 SaltySpitoon 37 2019-05-24 23:59:59.000 77 3 satoshi 2 2018-01-25 23:59:59.000 11 1112531 Steamtyme 21 2019-11-04 23:59:59.000 25 164749 stompix 34 2018-01-25 23:59:59.000 90 234771 suchmoon 3 2019-05-10 23:59:59.000 3 1855828 taikuri13 49 2019-11-14 23:59:59.000 57 487418 The Pharmacist 5 2019-01-09 23:59:59.000 9 679341 TheFuzzStone 63 2018-02-03 23:59:59.000 98 35 theymos 1 2018-01-24 23:59:59.000 1 1180530 theyoungmillionaire 11 2018-08-05 23:59:59.000 76 98986 TMAN 3 2018-01-26 23:59:59.000 43 239406 Toxic2040 13 2018-01-24 23:59:59.000 78 1292764 tranthidung 44 2020-01-21 23:59:59.000 49 557798 TryNinja 16 2018-01-26 23:59:59.000 39 1311641 tvplus006 52 2018-05-24 23:59:59.000 65 1138727 VB1001 21 2020-02-22 23:59:59.000 21 1177936 Veleor 30 2019-11-22 23:59:59.000 40 30747 Vod 4 2018-01-24 23:59:59.000 28 84521 Welsh 26 2018-01-28 23:59:59.000 95 1433865 witcher_sense 51 2020-02-27 23:59:59.000 51 131333 wwzsocki 45 2018-01-28 23:59:59.000 87 1068464 Xal0lex 57 2018-01-26 23:59:59.000 73 120694 xhomerx10 14 2019-06-03 23:59:59.000 18 897509 xtraelv 11 2018-11-08 23:59:59.000 26 355846 yahoo62278 6 2018-01-26 23:59:59.000 46 140827 yogg 27 2018-01-27 23:59:59.000 42

The sophisticated three-key system of integrated technology allows the customer to HYPE Bitcoin, unlike what happens through traditional exchanges, to actually hold the custody, and therefore the ownership of the currency, ensuring security against hacker attacks, identity theft or loss.
The customer has control of his or her private key and neither Conio nor HYPE can handle Bitcoin on its behalf. The first key is for the exclusive use of the customer, it is generated and encrypted on the access device so that no one else can use it. The second is kept by Conio and created only for each individual account to complete the transactions associated with it. The third key is one that allows the user to recover access to his or her portfolio in the event of loss of credentials and is kept by HYPE in a protected archive that is not connected to the network.

Update 20/03/2020:The dashboard gives you access to anyone’s complete merit history in the TX tab, surpassing the 120 day limit. Link: BitcoinTalk Merit Dashboard. Updated the Merit Dashboard to reflect the most recent sMerit available data: Total sMerit: 624.451 Total Txs: 324.167 From Users: 21.858 To Users: 33.317 minDate: 2018-01-24 22:12:21 maxDate: 2020-03-20 02:50:12 Aggregate awarded sMerit for the last complete week (09/03/2020 .. 15/03/2020) is 4.762 which is up 0,95% from the previous week. There are no new Legendries Heroes this week.
Just for fun, I added a tab at the end called "Received Merit Race" where we can observe the merit race for any user with more than 10 earned merits. The positions do not visually order on screen though in this version. I did additionally develop a Top 100 day-to-day Merit Race though, which does reorder positions: Merit Race Top 100![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FfElk82N.png&t=664&c=l1ZO2O4xA3jsyQ) Data: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1v8CT6AvjckH6SFYiRhEB8xIItw7lg65Q2O_S1Bg2uBw/edit?usp=sharingI will not be updating this latter one though, other than sporadically (It requires an additional pre-calculated Datasource which I prefer not to have to update each week). The one on the Regular Merit Dashboard updates each week though (but does not reorder positions on screen).

There are of course some things to consider: - You purchase BTC through the bank, at their rates. - The amount of BTC you can purchase is limited to 50K€/year with a premium account (2,5K/year with the basic account), which charges 9,90€/month. - There is a 2% commission for TXs (some sources cite 1%, but the official press release I’ve read in Italian states 2%). - You need to be a Hype customer, which require registration (requires at least full name, id, email, phone number). - Apparently, the customer has control to the private keys, although the information talks about: The sophisticated three-key system of integrated technology allows the customer to HYPE Bitcoin, unlike what happens through traditional exchanges, to actually hold the custody, and therefore the ownership of the currency, ensuring security against hacker attacks, identity theft or loss.
I personally don’t fully understand how it works, so whoever is interested should look into it further. So it looks like a way to bypass the use of Exchanges, but at a higher commission rate, although with access to the Hype ecosystem that allows you to spend those purchased BTCs through their platform. Not something to rush to in my opinion, but it may attract a segment of the novice crypto market there in Italy (the private keys thingy still bugs me as to the specifics). https://www.somagnews.com/italian-bank-starts-selling-bitcoin-amid-global-crisis/https://www.the-blockchain.com/2020/03/20/hype-bitcoin-trading-now-open-via-banca-sella-to-1-2-million-italians-customers-during-lockdown/

The Newbie highlighted information is void really since September 2018 (see enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements). He’d need to become at least a Jr. Member (1 Merit and 30 Activity) before being able to place a signature of some sort, and set out on his "Journey to xx rank" (and/or being nuked/banned) et al.

Ok, so I’ve been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 positive over the past 10 days, but have not developed any symptoms (this is true, and fortunately the person is recovering fine). Should I not post in the coming days, either the synthons have made their appearance, or I’ve got an overwhelming amount of work to do, even on lockdown (although in the latter scenario I could always pop a post or two every now and then).
By the way, there’s still a lot of fuzz around how the death rate is being calculated in different countries, and how it’s evolution is not necessarily due to clinical reasons, but rather statistical ones. For example, Germany seems to consider amongst the deceased only those where the Coronavirus was the primal cause of death. Other countries are considering those that, having died for any reason, had the Coronavirus.
Additionally, the more tests that are extended over to mild symptomatic cases, the less the death rate ratio. Spain is currently focused on testing those with clear symptoms, but not so much on those with mild symptoms, thus the death rate is higher, and will decrease as the test is extended on to the milder cases at some point.

The thing with external SEO analytic sites is that you can never be sure how much you can trust their data, meaning by that how accurate they are and how much estimation is pondered into the numbers. Take for example a simple indicator in the provided stats: Montly Unique Visitors: 1.2M. I’m assuming that those unique visitors are unique IPs. Lets compare with some inner forums stats that are available here: https://bitcointalk.org/adrotate.php?adstats (and summarized here from a historical perspective: [Chart] Bitcointalk statistics on impression counts for ads). The Adstats for a 10 day period, If I’m interpreting them right (*), point at 85K IPs from logged-out users, and 11,5K logged-in users over a nearly 11 day period. If we triple that to roughly equate a month’s reading, the best case scenario would point to 255K IPs and 34,5K logged-in users. Now we know those numbers are really more likely something like 120K IPs and 20K logged-in users (people log in over the 3 x 10 day periods I tripled to get the best case scenario). That renders a total around a tenth of that external site’s measure for the Montly Unique Visitors ... (*): The forum Ad stats provide data for 10 different ads per round (10 days aprox.), not an aggregate overall distinct set of values for them. It’s difficult to tell if one person will see one, a few or all those adds, and will therefore be counted in one or multiple Ad Slot stats. I’m assuming that people tend to see all the adds over a 10 day period in general, and thus the data for one slot will be representative for the 10 day period (that is not so for very sporadic, very quick forum visits).
