8881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: December 20, 2017, 07:52:59 PM
But some business like to use PayPal to create transaction than Bitcoin, because they can know onwner amount trading + can dispute if have scammer when create deal. And PayPal also can help you purchase instantly with cheap fees Wink.

That's true. Businesses trust more PayPal as they deal directly with fiat currencies. Since Bitcoin is highly volatile, it makes it very unfriendly and sometimes unprofitable for anyone looking to start their business with it.

One big issue with BTC is the irreversibility of transactions, making it quite difficult to make a dispute, and prevent scams. In this regard, there are escrows available for Bitcoin, but they aren't as efficient as dealing with PayPal directly for a claim.

Therefore, it may take quite some time before Bitcoin can become widely used to the level of PayPal in the mainstream world. Once merchants realize the true benefits of using Bitcoin, they may switch to it, and leave traditional payment processors like PayPal behind. Only time will tell if this becomes a reality or not. Just my opinion Smiley
8882  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: December 20, 2017, 07:47:06 PM
No, bitcoin is not dead. Bitcoin price might be low for now but it is not dear and never will be. Bitcoin will surprise us one of this day and its price will be higher than before.

Yeah. Everytime Bitcoin declines in value, or negative news become spreaded, panic arises from traders to investors in the markets. As a result of this, many people declare Bitcoin's death, when in fact it's all the contrary.

Moments like these are perfect for anyone to start investing into Bitcoin, given its deflationary nature which will reflect a positive result in its price for the long term. Many experts have predicted that Bitcoin will rise to more than $20,000 per coin. When this time comes, many who have invested into Bitcoin today will greatly benefit from the price rise giving them more spending power.

Thus, the more people use Bitcoin and it improves in development, the more it will be able to grow and maintain its place in the markets. With this in mind, Bitcoin is very unlikely to become dead at any point in time. Just my thoughts Grin
8883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: December 20, 2017, 07:41:26 PM
Bitcoin will replace gold as the newer, more technologically immersed generations come into power.

Maybe. While Bitcoin and Gold are two distint things, the pioneer cryptocurrency could replace Gold in terms of value. Since right now it is much more valuable than an ounce of Gold, I'd say that Bitcoin has replaced it already. However, there are still many underlying issues and disadvantages within Bitcoin which limits its ability to become used like Gold.

Such flaws like fungibility, and scalability is what limits Bitcoin's ability to become used in the mainstream world unlike Gold. With Gold, you won't need to worry about scalability issues or fungibility since each unit of Gold is the same (where tainted ones could not be identified).

But, despite everything, I believe that Bitcoin's future is very bright as it will continue to grow in value and user acceptance, followed by improvements which will make it better than ever. Therefore, time will tell what lies ahead for this exciting cryptocurrency. Just my opinion Smiley
8884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Bitcoin Cash overcome the original Bitcoin? on: December 20, 2017, 07:36:09 PM
Pretty sure about this, I'm a Bitcoin cash lover now but it will not overcome the original bitcoin. There are even some other popular alt coins that are good and making it's marketcap higher than BCH but it will never overcome or replace the spot of bitcoin in the market. Bitcoin is the original and no one can replace it, many have tried but all of them failed from this thing.

Completely true, mate. It is now seen that Bitcoin Cash is just a mere altcoin and will be very unlikely to replace the original pioneer cryptocurrency in the long term. Given that it lacks development and innovation, BCH is just another altcoin from the pack.

People will go towards using the king of cryptocurrencies as a store of value, and eventually as digital cash when it becomes improved over time. Since Bitcoin has an established reputation and branding, there could be virtually no cryptocurrency which could replace it in the long term.

Unless another crypto comes in which addresses all of BTC's underlying issues with greater tech, I see that the pioneer cryptocurrency will remain as king of crypto for many years to come. At first, I've thought that BCH was going to get traction and overcome Bitcoin, but after I've seen its lack of interest among people and development, I've realized that it won't grow much in the market. It is only a matter of time before BCH survives for the long term or not. Just my thoughts Grin
8885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is best PoS coin to invest into right now? on: December 20, 2017, 07:29:21 PM

Check out CRAVE and PIVX and other masternode coins on https://masternodes.pro/, they have a decent return and more stability because of the locked up capital.

Awesome. Honestly, PIVX is one of the best masternode coins out there in the market. It combines the goodness of Dash, plus the convenience of PoS, making it highly efficient in energy consumption. Given its supportive community, and constant development, it may be the best investment you could make nowadays.

Things aside, there are other masternode coins worth checking which are extremely inexpensive like Amsterdamcoin. Once they rise in price, it will become more difficult to get a masternode as the required collateral will become expensive.

Nevertheless, there is a wide selection of PoS coins available in the market to choose from. Considering that PoS takes minimal effort to setup and reduces energy costs, it may be the most ideal way to profit for the long term. Just my opinion Smiley
8886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started? on: December 20, 2017, 07:23:48 PM
My experience when I first joined in bitcoin was confused, I do not understand what bitcoin is, how to do it, earn income from where, and so on. But my curiosity is greater than my sense of confusion finally because a lot of reading from the internet then a lot of questions to an experienced friend the longer I understand and reduce my confusion ......

Thanks for sharing your experiences with us, mate. At first, we get confused with the underlying aspects of Bitcoin and the blockchain. But, as we mature in the subject by gaining experiences, we could make better use of cryptocurrencies as a whole.

Despite everything, even if we get to the point where we become knowledgeable, there will still be things that we'll be confused about since Bitcoin wraps up many complex subjects.

Thanks to the Bitcoin Talk forums, we can learn new things everyday and build up our way towards becoming experienced with Bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency in existence. Just my opinion Smiley
8887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: December 20, 2017, 07:19:07 PM
I didn't expect to see so many members not being positive about litecoin.
It has a good and solid development team, quite low fees and this year the coin rised from 4 to almost 100$, which means something. Now it dropped to around 50$, due to the exchange ban in China, but it is slowly getting higher again (like bitcoin)
I am a holder of litecoin, mainly because I am a fan of Charles Lee, and I think the value will continue to rise

Me neither. There are many people in crypto land which believe that Litecoin is already dead, when in fact, it's all the contrary. Given its stability and recent scalability upgrade, I'd say that LTC has a very bright future ahead of it just like Bitcoin.

Once, Litecoin adopts the Lightning Network, then it will greatly enhance its ability to handle large transaction volume, eventually leading towards popularity and acceptance in the mainstream world.

One thing for sure is that Litecoin is one of the most stable altcoins in existence and it's often referred as silver to Bitcoin's gold. With this in mind, it could rise in value over the course of time. Just my thoughts Grin
8888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: December 20, 2017, 07:13:12 PM
I'm changing my mind about HVN, I sold and never look back.
Right now I'm following CDT, Coindash token. It went down from over 20 cents to under 3 cents, so good point for accumulation. I'm expecting a raise in mid-term.

Nice. These coins you've mentioned could be worth buying nowadays as their prices have decreased. If you manage to get in at the right moment, you'll be able to multiply your investments within a short time frame.

Things aside, there are a wealth of tokens living within the Ethereum network which are also worth buying these days. Tokens like Golem and Aragon could become a great investment for the long term as they appreciate in value due to their usefulness.

Nevertheless, as with any altcoin on the market, you should try to look out for ways to profit as soon as prices start to rise, before it may be considered too late. Just my opinion Smiley
8889  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex ignores thousands of clients! on: December 18, 2017, 01:50:29 AM
How long ago was your ticket submitted?

It was submitted a week ago (almost two weeks now) but that was the only response given. I hope that this week, things would get sorted out since I'm worried about the security of my Bitcoin (as I don't usually leave my BTC on an exchange).

Given the fact that the support team has delayed the verification process, the more days pass, the more the risk will be of Bitcoins getting stolen/hacked.

But still, my hopes are high, and Bittrex might resolve many support tickets before the end of this year. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I believe in espers a lot, I just do not see any problem at this price, so I think the altcoins will have their moment, just have a little patience and follow the project.

Couldn't agree more with you, mate. I believe that this is only the beginning of a wonderful journey for Espers. Once the dev starts rolling in the good stuff, we could expect for prices to rise all the way to the moon. Right now, it is the perfect time to buy ESP. If you're patient enough to buy and hodl, then you'll be able to obtain good profits in the long run.  Smiley

Nonetheless, I hope that my investment in this project would really pay off in the future.  Wink

After quite some time now, I've received a response from Bittrex:

Dear Evolutiona2,

On behalf of Bittrex I would like to apologize that your support ticket has not yet been resolved. I understand it is frustrating to have an account issue. I want to assure you personally that everyone on my team is working hard to solve this problem.

Due to an unprecedented amount of growth we are experiencing a longer than normal wait time resolving customer requests. I apologize greatly for this extended wait and would like to inform you that we are addressing this issue as quickly possible.

We are actively training new personnel and streamlining our processes to better handle the increased demand. Specifically, in the next week, Bittrex will be more than doubling our current support staff to handle the growth. The hiring of support agents will continue until we can provide the support our customers expect.

What can you do to help expedite a response from us?

• Duplicate tickets often slow down our agents and their ability to assist our customers. If you submitted two or more tickets for the same issue we kindly ask that you close the newer tickets, leaving your oldest ticket open.

• Using the proper form when submitting a support request is very important. Oftentimes the wrong form can lead to a wrong response and unfortunate delays in solving your tickets.

• If your issue has already been solved, please login to https://support.bittrex.com and delete any duplicate or outstanding tickets. Doing so will greatly enhance our ability to assist other customers.

We understand that waiting can be frustrating and we appreciate your patience and understanding while we scale our support team to handle the increased
demand.

My sincerest apologies,

Ryan Hentz
Director of Support

With this in mind, my hopes are high as probably within the next week I could get Enhanced Verification. As soon as this becomes a reality, I'll be able to withdraw my hard earned Bitcoin and buy the car of my dreams.  Cool

Nonetheless, I hope that others could get their issues solved ASAP since I know that it is frustrating to wait weeks in order to get access to one's funds. That is to say, if Bittrex gets back on track then I will continue to use it for my crypto trades.  Smiley

I used to have some ESP quite some time ago but left them behind. Now, with the updated roadmap I think that Espers will become huge by next year. Even though the supply is hefty, the coin still has some potential for growth in the long term.

Nevertheless, it wouldn't be surprising to see ESP become worth at least $0.01 USD within the next months. The masternodes feature might greatly boost its price over the long term. Either way, ESP is a great buy at current price levels.  Smiley
8893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Paycoin XPY - A trip down memory lane // Proof of Stake // Yobit on: December 12, 2017, 12:11:54 AM
Paycoin brings back too many memories. I remember when I used to buy a lot of XPY when they where worth $20 each. Back then, I was staking like crazy but due to the price drops, I've lost a huge amount of money.

Still though, it would be nice to see a revival of this coin with a new development team to take over it. Maybe a swap from the old XPY to the new XPY 2.0 would be ideal if the new dev team takes over.  Smiley

Nonetheless, I'm still a bagholder of XPY and I'm not selling my coins in case something exciting happens in the future.  Roll Eyes
8894  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex ignores thousands of clients! on: December 11, 2017, 05:06:48 PM
It's been over a week now, and support hasn't responded to my ticket yet. I've only made a request to get verified manually for Enhanced Verification status since I've got a message stating: "Name Mismatch".  Sad

Tried replying to the ticket several times but still no luck. Today, I've made a twitter post complaining about this. I hope to get my issue solved fast.

Here's the ticket number: 597860

Now, I'm going to try the 2FA trick to see it works... I just want to get access to my BTC ASAP since I need them to buy a car.

P.S. It's good to be back at the community after a few months of inactivity.  Smiley
8895  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: September 19, 2017, 09:24:21 PM
I'm still sure bitcoin prices will skyrocket this year, even though I have a lot of bitcoin I'll hold, I'll set a target if the price has reached $ 8000 I'll sell about 50% bitcoin I have.

Nice. It is good to save Bitcoins in the meantime due to a potential price increase in the future. Thus, if you save more Bitcoin than what you spend, you'll be able to have complete control over your finances, reducing the possibility of becoming bankrupt.

Since we cannot know for sure what Bitcoin's price will be in a couple of years from now, it will be just a matter of buying and holding Bitcoin for the time being.

Then, after we have gained a lot of profit, we could spend our Bitcoins in things we need. Just my opinion Smiley
8896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: September 19, 2017, 09:15:03 PM
Bitcoins will dominate from all types of altcoins , Through means of social media forms from publications up to signature campaigns are making people to work crazy,  24/7 in operation, bitcoins will keep soaring high. This is another milestone of cryptocurrency, breaking records by 2017

Agree. This year is only the beginning for Bitcoin and it has shown that it will emerge stronger than ever over the course of time. Therefore, the pioneer cryptocurrency may remain as king of crypto over other altcoins, which will depend on it for their future growth.

Nevertheless, I believe that next year will be the most exciting one yet, as Bitcoin will continue to expand and improve its protocol to handle large transaction load in the mainstream world. Just my thoughts Grin
8897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started? on: September 19, 2017, 09:09:41 PM
:)when i started out whit bitcoin was simply because i go through an write-up of purse.io about the discont you can have whit bitcoins, soon after that i identified primedice and the community, and right after that i registered in the forum, and finding out bitcoin

Nice. I was into Primedice too, but eventually got bored and lost a lot of Bitcoins by playing it for months. I've thought that I was able to grow my Bitcoin fast, but as with any gambling game, that is not usually the case, leaving you with less than what you've initially invested into them.

But, despite everything, Primedice and other gambling sites (like the one under my signature) are really fun and addicting for any cryptocurrency user. You should always seek for new ways to make money with Bitcoin, as well as become knowledgeable about it to prevent any mistakes when using it.

Thus, the more time you spend into Bitcoin, the more experiences you'll be able to get for the long term. Just my opinion Smiley
8898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Bitcoin Cash overcome the original Bitcoin? on: September 19, 2017, 08:02:15 PM
if you do believe that then why did you even start this topic!

also ETC is the original chain and ETH is the fork, LOL
and the main difference is that nobody wanted either of them. the community was already split because so many lost money because of the ETH bug and so many others didn't or even if they did they believe that a "roll back" which was the only reason for the fork is a terrible idea.

Well, I started this topic in the first place because I was afraid that BCH would gain too much traction in price, eventually taking over Bitcoin's place in market cap. But, as time passed by, its growth in value have staled because of miners constantly switching to the BTC chain and viceversa.

Given the fact that there is no real development for BCH (as far as I'm aware of), I believe that it won't be getting anywhere soon. Despite the facts, it would be interesting to see what will happen in the future with both BTC and BCH. Wink

bitcoin cash transaction speed is the same as bitcoin! you forgot that it is the fork of bitcoin with nothing different regarding "transaction speed" which is block time. and if BCH is also spammed it will become the same slow one during the spams.

and i agree, it will exist the same way Pandacoin, Rabitcoin, Dogecoin, HTML5, GAYcoin,... are still existing alongside bitcoin.

You do have a point there. BCH is just like BTC with the only difference of implementing a bigger block size. At first, I've got confused and thought that having a bigger block size would contribute towards faster transaction speeds, but then I've that in this case it won't have much effect since the block time is relatively the same.

Nevertheless, BCH may remain among the top 3 cryptocurrencies in market cap over the course of time. It will be Bitcoin, the Ethereum, and finally Bitcoin Cash as the third largest cryptocurrency by market cap. Smiley
8899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: September 19, 2017, 07:53:58 PM
litecoin future is bright...i will b hold my coin until its reach 1000 $$

Agree. Litecoin's growth will follow Bitcoin's and will survive for the long term. I hope that more people would join Litecoin to make it better than ever. While it lacks active development, one thing for sure is that it has a supportive community which is able to quickly reach consensus over the proposed upgrades it unlike Bitcoin.

The $1000 value per LTC sounds very optimistic from you, and may become a reality a couple of years from now. Therefore, only time will tell what new and exciting things will lie ahead for this extremely fast cryptocurrency. Soon, we might be able to see mainstream business and shops accepting Litecoin all over the world. Just my thoughts Grin
8900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is best PoS coin to invest into right now? on: September 19, 2017, 07:48:07 PM
i invested on them 0.50 btc 10 days ago. now i have 1.37 btc   Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink  pos is the future!!!!

Awesome! Glad to see that you've obtained quick results investing in the altcoins you've mentioned earlier. Seeing this myself, I'd say that PoS is quite convenient to make profit without any effort involved (unlike mining).

Coins like Embercoin, Diamond, RAIN, and Japancoin have extremely attractive stake rates and may become a profitable journey for anyone who's willing to invest into them. Currently, Embercoin has the highest rates, so I'll give it a try to see if I could double my investment.

Things aside, there is another good coin to invest into (although it is not PoS) which gives you nice rewards if you hold it for the long term. This one is called Hodlcoin and so far, it has made me quite a decent amount of money just by "hodling" the coins into my wallet for a year.

Nevertheless, as well as you do, I believe that PoS is the future. Just take a look at ETH which will make the switch towards PoS, making it better than ever. Smiley
