he tried of make your coins have a back in metals (gold, silver, copper) that's happened in the real world currencies... i not see any bad on this, i see this better because copperbar is a very difficult coin to mine (reward per block is only .0064)

What he's doing is a very very good thing.

I don't know why it's so hard to understand what I'm saying.  It's in black and white.

At any rate, he doesn't want me to comment anymore so I'll respect that.

Good luck to everyone!

You can comment all you want just don't spread your bullshit and misinformation

For a new coin like this to already have such a high value of over $2 per coin is really good if it can be sustained.

It's going to be on an exchange, he's not the only person buying the coin.  if $2 is all CPR is worth then all it would take is $68 usd to buy every single coin minted daily.  That's pretty easy to sustain.

In the end I don't have any issue with the 2.5 CPR per copper bar price, I just wouldn't sell mine for that.

Just ignore Vlad. He's a known moron. Apparently selling 17 COPPER bars a day makes the coin worth over a billion dollars.

I guess his DeVry degree in economics isn't paying off so well

Please take your crazy elsewhere Vlad. You aren't even mining the coin or using it to buy stuff. You have no reason to be here other than to start shit. Go back to your off-topic thread please

You have no idea what you are talking about. At all. Just leave nobody wants you here
8904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CPR] | Copper Bars | Scrypt-Jane | Accepted for Gold and Silver in 5 days on: August 21, 2013, 04:09:35 AM
Vlad, you're dumb. 2.5 each puts the market value currently at just over $3000. Stop talking
8905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CPR] | Copper Bars | Scrypt-Jane | Accepted for Gold and Silver in 5 days on: August 21, 2013, 04:00:37 AM
the coin kind of has to be worth more then that to support any kind of mining.  at 34 coins total minted per day for the entire network, that would come to like $45 usd currently.

34 coins mined by everyone or just one person?  With what gear?

New coins like this you're lucky to get a $5 value per day, people mine them for speculation.  Heck, mine LTC and you're lucky to get 1.5 LTC coins which is $5 in one day and LTC is the next best coin compared to Bitcoin and you need a really good dual GPU $2,000 rig to get 1.5 LTC per day.

And with 34 coins, if one person can get that in 1 day and priced at nearly $3 you're getting nearly $100 in one day compared to $5 for LTC.

Again it depends if you're saying 34 coins for the whole network or just for one person.  If its just one person then this is gonna get way too expensive for the founder to maintain.  It would be $3,000 per month in copper just for 1 person.  Even if it's for the whole network, he'd have to pay nearly $40,000 per year in copper and this is the cheapest scenario.

Where's his payout - there was no premine so how will he get his money back?  Like I said, this is a sweet deal if you're a miner - jump on it quick cause it's not sustainable.

You don't even know how to mine, please don't try to do math about mining and confusing other people. You can't compare a 1 week old coin to Litecoin in market value

I'm confused. Are you guys saying 2.5 for 1 and 1.8 each for 5+ at once is me charging too much?
8907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CPR] | Copper Bars | Scrypt-Jane | Accepted for Gold and Silver in 5 days on: August 21, 2013, 03:54:32 AM

With a 2 GPU rig you would be making around a 1 pound bar per day at this price and difficulty. That includes the shipping costs (which we pay, not you guys)

That would put the whole network at a current worth of about 600 one pound collectible bars
8909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CPR] | Copper Bars | Scrypt-Jane | Accepted for Gold and Silver in 5 days on: August 21, 2013, 03:42:17 AM
So 10 CPR each then?

I thought that 2.5 was too high being that it is currently $3.30/lb for copper.  It takes alot to mine these things.

Well yea but you won't ever find someone that will sell metals at spot price. Not even a dealer or private seller. Not to mention these are new straight from the mint to match the cpr coin and not just some second hand garbage that's all jacked up

I think I'll start taking orders at 2.5 CPR each then or 1.8 if you order 5 or more at once. That would be 5 pound bars for 9 CPR. Does that sound fair? We also have to pay for shipping and package insurance to get them to you don't forget and we never add shipping charges. The price you see is always the price you pay

So I'm thinking 2.5 CPR per 1 pound bar that matches the logo

Anyone interested in ordering? We will be ordering the first batch this week or early next week sometime. If we charge 2.5 CPR per bar and it goes on an exchange before you receive your item, I have no problem correcting the price and offering a partial refund if we overcharged you. I have confidence in the currency, and I'm sure it will be on an exchange soon, but I promised we would accept them soon, so I'm making good on my word and not waiting to be traded

Obviously, it will be free shipping to all 50 states. Any thoughts?

Remember, these are pound bars, so they are significantly bigger than the silver ounce bars

2.5 coins is a very generous offer. That bar is selling for a little more than $6 so you're pricing each coin at $2 and change. That's really high.

Based on your total coins of over 500 million you are then giving your coin a market cap of over $1 billion or about the Same as Bitcoin.

One caveat:  there's lots of orphaned coins so then actual coin amount may be a lot lower than 500 million, but still, over $2 per coin value is really high.  Very good deal, indeed.

People are already trading them on the forums. There's only 1200 CPR total so far, so it's nowhere near 1 billion lol

hello, I try to mine at the push pool with ybcminer (and the correct parameters) but I have a second gpu (nvidia physx addd-on) and the program seems to select that one to mine.

How can i force it to select my 7870?

-d 0 or 1

Thank you people but I have one more problem, the card seems stuck at the lowest power state (300/150) and is producing 10 kh/s.

How can I resolve that?

Could you give me a good command line for a 7870?

Use the same parameters you use with cgminer. That's what I did and I'm getting around 2mhash per card on my 6970s in this rig

the problem is that i am using guiminer not cgminer, could you give me a command line example?

Oh, if you're using GUI Miner you probably aren't going to see very good results

I use this miner:  https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1WLLLvN3Ho5TU16ckctSV92eVU/edit?usp=sharing

With this in my .bat

copperbar -o stratum+tcp://94.237.84.48:9777 -u CLmPVxSKsiUZt2BRCMWhSE8bkYM3EZdfQN+0.0032644 -p x --auto-fan --queue 0 --worksize 256 -I 18 --scrypt --scan-time 0 --expiry 0

Is there a demand for people to hold physical copper - I mean its around $3 or $4  a pound - a $100 worth - 25 pounds.  Shipping costs etc.

We offer free shipping and eat the cost ourselves when you guys use Spots or CPR. Copper is a much smaller market, which is why we went with a fast, low reward scypt-jane coin for it. We are also trying to get it on the LTC markets on exchanges so Spots and CPR don't compete with each other

Oops beat me to it. Thanks for helping him

So what do you guys think of these?

Also a 10 pound bar, as well as possibly in kilos for copper. The picture on the right is the icon for the Copper Bars coin

Nice  Grin so when can we buy these?

Not sure, trying to figure out a price since it's not on an exchange yet. Suggestions on price?

Just for the record:

"moneysupply" : 1219.13436900,

In about a week, there's still only 1219 Copper Bars mined so far

I'm getting this windows popup message from the toolbar (where spots icon is located):

Mandatory upgrade to Litecoin 0.8.3.7+..... from Spots client.

I understand that the client is based on the litecoin client, but can somebody make this popup to go away, please.

That's weird. I get it for a lot of coins but not Spots. Are you using the first client we released? It happened with that one but shouldn't with either of the last two updates

I just downloaded the latest version, still the same problem: every 5 minutes I get this popup.

Interesting. Try downloading the newest Litecoin client? I know it's ghetto workaround, but that's all I can think of as I don't get the popup anymore. That shit's annoying though when it does come up I know what you mean
