8901  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Raspberry Coins - Cyclone V - 28nm based FPGA miner on: June 11, 2013, 10:29:38 PM
Reading through this... it's confusing me.

Is the selling point of this the BTC hashing or Scrypt hashing?

There's a few tangents here about Scrypt, but that's not what this is actually being sold for, right? If it is, and it works, then I think the price is more justified. If not, I stand by my previous statement that you might as well get USB ASIC's now, have them in 2-3 days, and get 30% more hash rate for the same money.
8902  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam: OnionWallet on: June 11, 2013, 10:25:22 PM
I wish the Bitcoin-QT Client would get an option to create a paper wallet built in.

BTW. Is there a way to extract a key pair from the wallet, print it and then delete it from the wallet manually?

@OP: Local wallets aren't that hard to handle and use. Actually I find them a lot more convenient than online wallets hence I never even used online wallets.

I don't have Bitcoin-QT but can't you use it to export the private/public keys? If so, you should be able to edit the key file in some way to figure out which ones you want to pull.
8903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MultiCoin][Stratum+GW] multipool.in - Always mine the most profitable coin on: June 11, 2013, 10:23:45 PM
Could we take LTC out of the switching pool?  I lost over 2500 shares because the size of the current block causing them to 'expire'.  I'm not sure why it's profitability is so high when the diff is up and LTC/BTC is down!  It's good to help it along but not if the shares evaporate because of the round size!

Just my 0.02 LTC...

Hmm, estimates are actually broken right now.  Not sure what the problem is, but it's related to a change I made last night.

And, they're fixed..  Not sure what the issue was..  Cronjobs had a MySQL error but when I ran the script from the command line, it ran ok.  And it seems to have been running OK since.

How often are the site stats updated btw? Would help to have some sort of like timer that tells how long before the next update, instead of having to refresh randomly in the hopes that things are updated, and not knowing how old the stats are, :p.

Men can get breast implants as well...

Implants and natural are very different, Sad. If it's natural you are seen as being awesome. If it's implants you just paid for them.
8905  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie enthusiast seeking BTC from user with digital wealth. on: June 11, 2013, 10:20:25 PM
I had no idea if someone would or if they wouldn't send me a donation. But.... guess what? Some actually did send me a donation. However, it wasn't the amount I needed. But.. I'm not complaining. They did a nice thing.

Being a newbie, I didn't realize how much I was asking for.

Anyhow, now I'm off to ebay to find someone with a high rep account and to buy what I need to pay to get listed in the bitcoin wiki.

TC

The problem is you're basically just asking for money. How often does that work on the street? Now consider that we're not even in a street where we can see each other; it's all anonymous. So you're asking for money for nothing, from people who have no idea and never will know who you are.

BTC is the equivalent to cash. It's pretty liquid.
8906  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WIN FREE BTC - LIFT's Bitcoin Lottery 2.0 - we need your feedback on: June 11, 2013, 10:18:13 PM
Sure you will payout...

Yes, we are sure Wink

and we have payed out multiple times in the past during our previous lottery BETA-1 as well.

several people on this forum have actually won before and could possibly confirm.

Anyways, our blockchain-link speaks hard facts:
https://blockchain.info/address/1BaiBPorJ3g9PxV1s9qsRv8uJRbM3cEUqZ

as a matter of fact we have payed the last rounds winners just minutes ago!

Yep, just wanted to post my own confirmation (for what it's worth): after each drawing you could easily look up the addresses and see the winners did get their prizes, Smiley.
8907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FeatherCoin - Maker of riches, or doomed - Poll - on: June 11, 2013, 10:17:01 PM
To put it kindly, there is a lack of genuine incentive to go with FTC over LTC beyond a quick buck on the exchange.  This is true for most alt..alts.  Personally, I don't understand the reasoning behind the platoon of advocates out there, but I respect that everyone's opinion is valid on these matters.

This is what you get for having everything provided for you. The forum? Someone else made that. The exchanges? Yep, some other guy. Features? Gotta wait for the developers. Buying products? Sorry take your chances at Ebay or beg for respect on OTC.

What part of "Everybody works on something at Feathercoin" don't people understand?

This is a big part of what FTC is. It's not where it is now or what a couple people are doing, it's how they are pushing everyone else to help out as well. And the contests that have been hosted and are being hosted now are massive!
8908  Other / Off-topic / Re: dot.tk on: June 11, 2013, 10:10:42 PM
I wish I could. As I'm only a sort-of a techie but not a coder, I have to process every payment by hand as well as be aware of the min transaction limit in bitcoin-qt. If I knew how to code php or any similiar language, I could make accumulative payments, 24 or 8 or something hour limits without having to check addresses and of course automatic payments. But as I only know how to review and check code, I'm unable to do such.

Awwww, Sad. I know PHP (that's what the rotator is built in) but when it comes to interfacing with the client I wouldn't even know where to start.
There's a PHP library for that! Wink

Ugh, JSON, lol. I need to get a bit more adept at PHP before I move into that. Sadly I lack the real capability of doing OOP. I use.... structured *gasp* :p
8909  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FREE BTC! BTC Faucet Timer/Rotator! on: June 11, 2013, 10:09:23 PM
Thanks for the fast response. Good news!

1) You can now fix the cache issue with a simple refresh. No needing to deal with cache (I hope....!)

2) I found out what's causing the problem. Apparently doing edits through an FTP client is changing the format around and breaking it. I'll just deal with edits and copy the files over from now on.

If you are using Sublime Text 2 for coding you could just use FTPSync and upload your files on FTP with a few keyboard clicks. And if you are not using Sublime Text, you should definitely try it! Wink

When I code manually I use either notepad or Netbeans (Netbeans just for an easier way to see the file list and have multiple open in a clean UI).

For FTP, I was/am using "WinSCP" -- just because it's portable. It has its own built-in editor though that appears to screw up headers somehow when I use that instead of editing files locally and just uploading the new versions...

Thanks for your suggestion though; I'll definitely look into Sublime Text, Smiley.

mlawrence why are you licking your boob since 1970? are you serious?

Look at my boob!  Wouldn't you lick it?

If I had boobs like that I'd never leave my house.

Not that I do now, but... you guys would know because you'd never see me again, :p. *hopes science can make men grow nice boobs*
8911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin.Co | Instant | Stable | Reliable | Usable for Purchases on: June 11, 2013, 10:03:42 PM
If you google "dgc currency" the top results are for Digital Gold Currency which is not a cryptocurrency, but "An electronic, private currency backed by gold bullion".  Not that it's a big issue here, but just something to be aware of...

Yeah, I've found this with a lot of the coins... gotta search them directly or finding results is tough. Getting to higher ranks than some of those sites is going to take years of work too.

8915  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiPoker ♣ Freerolls ♣ Hourly GTDs ♣ Lowest Rake ♣ 10 BTC Bad Beat on: June 11, 2013, 02:09:06 PM
wow lots o drama going on here.

To be fair to both sides, my sn on satoshi is sootedtho. Just the other day ibetufold accused me and another player of being bots because we both sat out at the same time. (coincidence) I can understand his vigilance in the whole bot issue but dont call out every player on the site:) The bots are very exploitable so let them stay imo. They mostly just sit out in my experience so just gotta outlast them.

On the other hand, if in fact satoshi is using house bots (no opinion either way) that is not only unethical but probably in violation of some rules:)  I understand that u all are losing btc's per day but i hope there are no house bots to try and get some of that back. Also i have never seen a rep. for a company flame so hard on a customer, especially a customer that plays so much.

Anyway i hope this all gets sorted out so both parties feel comfortable in the future. Satoshi poker is my favorite btc site atm and i want to see continued success!!! great software, instant cashouts and perhaps extremely exploitable bots....whats not to love.

Oh and i am very interested in promoting satoshi poker as much as possible to gain a deeper players pool

I've gotta say... that seems pretty unprofessional to me. The way the site (anyone who represents them is essentially acting on behalf of the site) treats people, regardless of the reason, is just not right. The only other businesses I've seen do that have failed as a result.

You never argue with customers. If they are in the wrong and for whatever reason can't see that, just leave it be.
There are MANY players complaining about this certain individual on our site.

We have already said we are going to take a look at the problem, but instead he continues bashing us publicly when we have done nothing but give him easy games and a fair & honest environment to play in.

Regardless your points are duly noted, and we will try to lighten our approach with inflammatory customers. But please don't ask us to forgive public defamation and libel. Saying "we don't care" about the bots in our site is false, and goes against what we have already promised.

I understand where you're coming from. But as someone who's made the same mistake you did... I learned. It costs way more than it's worth.

No matter what your service is, or how good it is, people will *always* flame and bash it. Even when they are customers. It doesn't really make sense, but for whatever reason people do that. I actually got a rating of a book I wrote a few years back where the person praised me, said it had everything he wanted and more, and was perfect, and then he docked every one of the ratings to 1 star. A few people gave 1 star and flamed me because it didn't have what they were looking for (a good analogy for the situation is you buying Fishing Weekly and getting pissed off because it doesn't have wedding planning tips for Paris).

You just get used to it after a while, :p.
8916  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshi Buckets - 1 BTC GIVEAWAY! WIN 0.1 BTC EVERY DAY! on: June 11, 2013, 02:03:43 PM
There's only been 5 rounds today so far! This means that there's a good chance to win the 0.1 BTC today if you play a round or two!

Number of rounds doesn't tell how many betters there were, :p. Could have been one per round or 500000000

one of the 3 posts i reported was saying about having sex with animals the whole thred has been deleted now ( not because of that thow )
Zoophilia? That's some messed up stuff you were reading.

LOL, I'm wondering why he would be reading that as well... not that I judge or anything.

the post i reported was talking about havin sex with animals in a thred about how to get 5 gpus to work on windows

lol, it's a sick, dark world when talking about GPU's and Windows turns into a bestiality thread.
8918  Other / Off-topic / Re: 10,000 BitCoin Loan [Spoof] on: June 11, 2013, 02:00:39 PM
There must be a villain version of him too.

Bitcoingrinch?
Coinbitman? (He could bite Bitcoinman)
Remember the saying. It must be the same person but just evil.

"The only difference between them is one has a cape"
That's usually how bad guys are made in movies.

What happens if both of them have a cape? How do we know which one's good?
Darker color, laugh that turns into a cough and similar stuff shows that he's evil.

Whoa now, so now the black one is evil? RACCCCCCCCIST

If anyone is still having problems, please try Ctrl + F5 or Shift + F5. That should help fix the problem as well. Please report back if you're having problems getting it to work right.

And sorry for breaking it, guys!

That worked. I was stuck on the same site over and over, but it's working again.

Thanks for the heads-up! It was a cache issue that for some reason wasn't clearing itself on the local computer, Sad.

Glad to see it's working fine now!
Uh, actually it's back on the glitch. I'm pretty sure it is serve side now, I tried multiple browsers, multiple computers, deleting cache and I'm stuck on bitcoinspain.
