8941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: August 23, 2016, 08:32:40 AM
Its differ from everyone's perspective. For me, it's not wrong for gambling because I treated gambling is a very risky investment. You place money to get more money not very different from nowadays investment, but very risky win big lose big.
I don't understand this what the wrong way is in gambling? And what is the right way in gambling? According to me, Gambling is just game. How you treat gambling is the matter. If you play this for money, then it is wrong. But if you play gambling just for fun or entertainment then it is ok. Finally playing or not it depends on you.
Yes it depends on players. player itself decides if they are playing for entertainment or not. its just a game and if you become addicted and had debts because of gambling, it is because you have no control and you are playing without limitation.

Its because most gamblers can't control their urges. That's why every gambler says to himself " I will play within my limits" or "I know when to quit" however they never apply to principals into reality.

Agree, and thats reality which most of gamblers says these thing to themselves but  they dont actually do when they are in the middle of the game just because they really cant control their selves when the urge of feeling  is there. Its really hard to overcome it if you are already a gambling addict.
8942  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you guys react if you guys lost 10, 000 bitcoin? on: August 23, 2016, 08:29:59 AM
That is too much! That is around 5 million dollars in this moment, how would I lost that money? Not a chance, just something else bad can happen to this coins, me to lose it no chance! I can`t imagine that I have so much money, and you wish me to say how would I react if I lose it all?
How to know my reaction when I lose it, when I don't know how would I react if I have that money. This question is ridiculous.
Agreed with you mate and i do not see i will put that huge money in online wallet without any insurance, i think if there is a chance to owned that huge amount of money and it will lost i think i would going crazy because of the depression.

Even if i lost 10btc then it would be too much , how much more in 10k btc ? The chances of being rich is gone in an instant. lol .  as you converted  the price as of now august 2016 it a huge amount already which you can buy those things that you want. If  those coins would be lost i think i would cry so hard for sure and got depressed.
8943  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit is down on: August 23, 2016, 08:22:13 AM
Funny how these threads usually go:

Major panic, they website is down or support aren't answering!!
Wild speculation and conspiracies
6 Hours later it returns to normal and everyone who had a problem goes quiet.

People are way too fast to jump to conclusions without any solid information

We carn really avoid  to panic or being worried  when the investment site goes down or  not running for how many hours and you cant blame them to jump into conclusion because   money involves here and we are afraid to lose those money thats why we panic but its not necessary  to repeat and repeat the same question since yobit in past is already  experiencing these situations.
8944  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: August 23, 2016, 06:24:37 AM
if you talking of income outside the domain of bitcoins obvious you need to get a job but if it's on the forum I see loaning out BTC as a way to make you some money

Lending is bit risky as you don't know how genuine is a person you are dealing with, so its better to concentrate on signature campaign and by offering services from where you can expect guaranteed income.

signature campaign is good source to get some income for sidejob, the rate is very acceptable, i can use from signature campaign to paying my electric cost so i get full profit in mining Smiley

but for me campaign can't used as steady income, we must use other way for steady income

Anytime we could lose this income. We better be always ready for that and have looked for more while this job is still existing. We dont want to be idle in some time, that would be sad.
Searching for another  source of income is what im doing almost everyday because this  signature campaigns would not  last  long and   would not  be forever  and thats not good because  we would  standby  on that time without  gaining everything if you rely too much on sig campaigns thats why its better to have a back up plan incase  if campaigsn would stop sot that the earning  would not be stopped also.
8945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: August 23, 2016, 06:20:41 AM
Honestly I never look at gambling game as a profit generating tool. Because you will be disapponted and stressful if it does not meet your expectation.  I look at it as tool  for entertainment with risk involved.  So I only gamble when I am bored and want to have some entertainment and fun.
and if you look this way you will not fall to addiction because you won't find most of your time playing gamble just doing it to fill up your lust
good point mate i also want to be like this since gambling is not my forte i'm just doing it just to spare my extra time and btc.

This kind of attitude and self control would be  a good thing  on you because you wont be easily  get addicted  into gambling same as you said. Never ever treat gambling as a money generator  because it would  only destroy your aims and hopes  in the end because  gambling  is designed  almost its  players would lose in the end.
8946  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: August 23, 2016, 06:17:23 AM
I am spending it on my mobile recharge and buying gift cards, and sometimes even I do spend it on gambling, and in future there will be many more options available to spend our coins.

That's the most common things where we could spend our coins, there is not much option specially on those countries where bitcoin has just began...Mobile loads and cashing out to fiat is the only choice so that we could use it... But in where I live, I think the most famous local exchange is extending its features, and there are now online shops that they accept payment... Soon, maybe lots more will be added to their service or we could directly pay bitcoin on those online shops without processor.

That will surely happen in future when we would be able to pay directly to buy anything that we want, its just a matter of time and once bitcoin gains more popularity then anything is possible.
i hope that you are actually right about it, in my opinion spending bitcoins freely wherever you want would change the world
it would change the world though unfortunately we are still really long away from it, it wont happen in the upcoming decades

It would really change a lot especially the convenience  that would give if its already implemented or already being adopted by many but the question  is when?  You are right  it would take some time for that to happen since we are only few as  of now who uses bitcoin in the current  population  in the world.
8947  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Would you buy a hardware wallet? on: August 23, 2016, 06:14:40 AM
Hi all,

I am doing some research for a Bitcoin company that is interested with developing a hardware wallet to see if it has a viable market. Trezor has some traction, but perhaps only in the existing Bitcoin community. With things like Multi-sig popping up everywhere, do you think this negates some of the pressing need for Hardware wallets? Interested to hear your thoughts.
Hardware wallet is best if you want to store your coins safely but unless someone has more than 5-10 bitcoins, buying a hardware wallet is not feasible
There are some potential risks if you buy a hardware wallet, such as losing it or even someone stole it.

Even on an offline wallet or  you said  on your pc wallet there still have a risk on losing it. Maybe it would got corrupted in the future or  theres a virus then your money would be gone.  Keep it  in our minds that no matter  how we store our coins either offline or online or hardware they have all risk on losing your money.

Both online and hardware wallet  have potential risk of losing your bitcoin into it. Just put up to your mind the most important things to consider to be kept on a safe place like passwords, keys so that incase your account would be lost  you can retrieve it.
But to be hoenst at least about hardware wallets you can ensure that they do not become hacked and you have more control

you have a point but remember  hardware wallet  have also risk on losing your bitcoins it might be lost or  corrupted and theres nothing you can do about it.  Agree you have your control on your bitcoin when its in a hardware wallet just make it sure that it is  kept  in a secure place.

That could be happen if you are lame enough upon handling your hardwares but if you really placed it on secured area well you can make sure your btc is safe but those hard wallets are for people who holds lots of thousand, millions of btc or company that needed to be secured their btc since it was an ideal place for them where they can kept securely their btc and i think blockchain wallet is enough for people who do regular daily transaction.

Hardware wallet  would be very useful for those who hold large amounts of bitcoins as you also said, they can keep them in a secure place without any harm to those coins. For me having  a huge amount in online wallet would be risky i guess rahter than  putting up in on a hardware wallet.
Lol but it's very easy for you to losing it , like you saving your btc into hardware wallets like flash disk and that is very small and can disappearing at anytime

You can lose your hardware wallet if you are careless and  didnt even aware of the risk of losing it. If your a wise person and  you put importance in your money for sure you would put it in a safe place that no one knows and with that you can sleep  comfortably without  worrying anything about your bitcoins.
But for buying a hardware just like waste your money because if you already have a desktop for your and you can use that to save your bitcoin and become your personal wallet and especially for using offline wallet can make your amount is more secure and why you need to buy the hardware wallet?
8948  Economy / Speculation / Re: PANIC BUYING !!!!!!! on: August 23, 2016, 06:09:11 AM
Keep an eye on those coins, if we see them moving around I bet btc will take a dip because more than likely he would be dumping.
I think when bitcoin prices began to fall and the volume began to swell, and then I'm sure there will be lots of people trying to buy bitcoin then the panic buying will come. when panic buying comes then the price will go up and I think you should buy if you want to profit
I see it differently man, the price now is slowly rising and I think it will begin to rise steadily. We should take advantage of the cheap price now and we do panic buying on our own as we see this opportunity to earn money in the short run.

Not only in the short  run but also for the long run.  Low price of bitcoin is an opportunity on us to buy more because  we could gain profits in it  when the time  that the price would bounces  up and that is happening as of now, the price gradually increases and recovering  previously on its sudden price decrease.
8949  Other / Meta / Re: Is it allowed to sell Bitcointalk account? on: August 23, 2016, 06:00:53 AM
It is allowed to sell and buy account in this forum however it is better not to do it,because some of the user buy high rank account and then use the high account to scam people, also buy and sell account make a lot user become spammer and account farmer

Well thats the main reason because those bought accounts would be  used in bad things just like scamming people as same as you said but not all  some may used it  to  join signature campaigns directly without  starting to a newbie  rank. We cant really stop these things because  some people  do make a living   with just  account farming.
8950  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn bitcoin by sig campaign? on: August 23, 2016, 05:54:00 AM
Readvand wait for two months then join in sig camp and start earning

Not only that Just find the right campaign Where you get good amount of payment and check is there Escrow is working on that sig campaign, and wear their signature and pass a post in a Signature campaign's thread. and most important don't join to the negative trust guy's sig campaign, because he may cheat us.

Actually in service section all signature campaign using escrow, maybe 1 or 2 campaign don't use escrow like secondstrade, but secondstrade already got trust here.

also bitmixer not use any escrow, but bitmixer running his campaign servivce very long time, more than 1 year, i hope bitmixer can live for next 2year Smiley

Ya it is true that their are some signature campaign which are running from very long and are still not using escrow but their payment system is very good. But nowadays their are lot of campaign who are starting and giving escrow also but after some time they just vanish with what ever profit they got.

So we have to first check the campaign properly after that only it is better to join it.

Agree, there are  signature campaigns does not use escrows for their payments unlike others  but  still they are trusted enough to on time payments to their participants. Previously almost signature campaigns  are legit when they launched but   now there are some  campaigns does not  pay  to their  participants and  do  free advertisement.
You must check first securely when you plan to join a signature campaigns.
8951  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: August 23, 2016, 05:42:35 AM
If I have 10 btc then I will open a coffee shop with it and will also accept payment in bitcoins, that will eventually help people to get aware about bitcoins.
to me that is a good decision, through this people will get awareness about bitcoin they will also invest their money in bitcoin through this way the bitcoin users will increase and thus your fee business will also become profitable, i my self going to invest bitcoin in opening a currency exchange in our local area where i will also accept and exchange of bitcoin.
I think you pretty good idea. but the question is, is it 10 BTC enough for use as capital to set up a cafe business? I think you need the money more than $ 10k to make a shop or cafe. to exchange maybe it will have an easier capital?

There are many countries where you don't need huge capital to start a business, 10  btc would be enough to start a cafe business especially in third world countries.
Maybe the countries are you're saying is referred to development countries because the cost will so cheap, considering the another factor like electricity and other. for starting a cafe with 10 BTC is too low for me.

He have a point though 10btc in some countries are already enough to engage to a small business because  the exchange rate of  dollar to their currency would be high which it makes a good decent amount to start up but in those   countries that has high standards of living  for sure 10btc is isnt enough.
8952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin worst decision you will ever make? on: August 23, 2016, 05:38:30 AM
the worst decision I ever make with bitcoin when I am not buying bitcoin when its first launch on 2009  Grin and I don't follow any news about bitcoin. until this year 2016 I've meet and know what is bitcoin. but i'm not regret it, still I am very luck I can know bitcoin as soon as I can and I think its a long journey to start following bitcoin journey itself.

I also made the same mistake. One of my friend asked to me invest in bitcoins in the start of this year when the bitcoin price was $380. At that time, i didn't have full confidence in bitcoins. Now i feel i made a mistake.

We all have that same worst decision, we did not trust bitcoin before.  Even myself before already heard about bitcoin but of course it is such hard to believe that a programmed currency would really have a price in the market.  If only we know that bitcoin thing is real before many could have became a millionaire.  Hope that it would happen on the newly evolved altcoins in the market right now cause I have invested on them. Wink

I remember bitcoin at $250 and I really dont thing it will grow this much. I used to look at oil price and I see just one digit movement in it per barrel. Maybe I got used too much with this movement I didnt see bitcoin would go with three digit movement. It proved we cant really predict something.

You cant compare a commodity to a digital currency because they are different in any way on how the price moves. You are right we cant  really predict the future  because we are only humans and we dont know what would happen tommorow. The things that you didnt expect to happen  would be possible.
8953  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make money on bitcointalk? on: August 22, 2016, 10:40:58 AM
There is nothing in it unless the people who come here for that purpose don't spam around with new accounts and make a bad reputation of a campaign, it happens a lot when a newbie starts spamming after enrolling a campaign and when a senior member see that they just blame the campaign, but the campaign is just giving the community a chance to earn money, but they get blamed just because of such people.

Who cares about the cry-babies? They are just jealous that others are gaining BTC. My advice is to ignore them. Have you ever noticed Theymos blaming the sig campaigns? For every 100 or 200 users who are enrolled to a signature campaign, there will be 2 or 3 who indulge in spamming. It is up to the campaign managers to kick these spammers out and keep the campaign clean.

Our primary objective is to popularize the Bitcoin. Signature campaigns help a lot, in bringing new users to this forum, and to retain the existing users.
100% agree with you not all users are spammers and we earn bitcoins and we are not spamming then what is the problems. You said right that they are jealous that others are also earning some bitcoins. That i will say a cheap thinking. It is only making bitcoin more and more popular and its win situation for all of us,it provides us some earnining opportunity and at the same time their sites also gets promotions here.

Thats the main purpose of  signature campaigns theyre are paying  on every participants who advertise  their sites which is a really good thing. Spammers  cannot be avoided since there are people that likes to spam and aim just to get easy money fast thats why some signature campaigns become strict.
8954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: August 22, 2016, 06:39:21 AM
Just do accept that we are losing in the long run, we are just an ordinary people and we do not belong to the special people who are making money in gambling if there is one. I myself, have already accepted a long time ago that gambling is hard job to do.

Good thing that you were to realize that gambling really is a tough  job. But we should always remember that those professional gamblers was also like us before yet i think most of them strive hard to become what they are right now
And the good thing with them is they have a lot of money to try on their way to being professional but we do not have that kind of resources, real gamblers are real risk takers some of them succeed but majority of them failed.

And when the real gamblers are taking risk for their money. But in the end sadly they are just losing their money. The real winner with gambling are only the house edge because it is business and if we are going to talk about business it means that they also want to get profit rather than they are going to let the gamblers win.

Well, thats commonsense because  gambling is a business and no owners like  to experience  bankruptcy in their investment which we can expect that gambler would lose in the end on playing gambling. Some may win but mostly gamblers are lossers and that thing are just common.
8955  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: August 22, 2016, 06:37:10 AM
That's really a hard question because women are not interested in the crypto world, they want to live in real life where they can do shopping to maintain their beauty, but if you can convince a professional woman who like to explore new things if would be easy to motivate them to use bitcoin.

There are also women who are not looking too much at their beauty... They are working hard to earn... I know some moms who are working on online jobs while attending to their family, those who are working on this home based jobs are the easiest ones to convince and not those who are outside and working on their day job the whole day...  Smiley
Agree but it is very minimal cases, most of the women doesn't like boring thing like earning in bitcoin this will required a lot of time facing in computer. I think women who are online shopper lover they easy to convince to used bitcoin but not to earn in bitcoin.

Nope, I saw some moms before, they are also working on a data entry job, though it's not yet bitcoin, but they love sitting in their computer for almost the whole day and just get up when they need to do their choirs at their homes, take note that those who are doing home based jobs loves hearing earning opportunity...  Smiley
Some woman are only working hard when their husband is not earning well, woman will be more motivated to earn in any way, like if she is just staying in home he can easily do the job like we did but not all can comprehend what is bitcoin as most members of it are men. I actually teach my wife but it seems that she has lost her interest with bitcoin.

No doubt about that, usually those woman who has a husband with low income are the ones that really doing their best to find ways to earning from home based jobs and sometimes I saw mothers who do networking and selling those cosmetics...

I actually teach my wife but it seems that she has lost her interest with bitcoin.

We are different in this situation, actually I am now in the process of teaching my wife how to use bitcoin, and guess what? she is now the one looking at the price of bitcoin in the internet in the morning while I am sipping my coffee before leaving to work...  Smiley and also she could now transfer from my one wallet to my online wallet when I am at the office and I need it...  Smiley  Cheesy

Well, thats a good thing that you already convince your wife on earning and using bitcoin but not all women would  do the same because they differ on their perspectives and interest. Some may would easily get to the point and some would  hardly understand what are you trying to say about bitcoin.
8956  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: August 22, 2016, 06:34:38 AM
We felt the sudden goes down on bitcoin price yet I am not selling bitcoins.  It is also a great start to buy more for investment as the price of it was low.  We hope and I really feel positive that its price would go up again as bitcoin stabilizes itself as the leading digital currency as of today.  There is no way to sell bitcoins as we might regret it in the near future when bitcoin price strengthens again on the market.

Well even the price of bitcoin did fall for a short time that is not going to affect the future fluctuation of bitcoins price. We just need to wait for the right time that the price of it is going to increase. You just need to be patient on everyday that is going to come because it is going to be profitable in the future if you know how to have good timing.

As we all know patience is a virtue and it does pay  Grin.  Many bitcoin holders and  investors have high hopes in bitcoin believing that they would make good  profits out of it in the future. As we saw the  bitcoins price movement it goes down suddenly  because of some circumstances but it gradually goes up. It  would not affect the   trend in the future.
8957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: August 22, 2016, 06:30:29 AM
You can get rich from gambling. However only high risk games, like the lottery and the casino, can help you achieve that.

This means that you must keep away from "easy to win" games - if you win them easily, it means it will be very difficult to win big prizes Smiley
It's not that easy to win in lottery lol you have to be extremely lucky, if you're not lucky you'll be burning your money for years by buying tickets. i've known folks who've been buying tickets for over an year and still haven't won anything.
yeah just spend money and time. although when you get the jackpot I think it still will not make your rich, because you only bet a small amount.
Some people have good profit in gambling but it's not make them rich, I think the rich one is the owner of gambling site not the player  Grin. If you want to make rich in gambling go create your own gambling site and do it more popular and trustworthy.
so based on your opinion basically nobody can get rich from gambling but the casino owner? no i don't think so , it is not right at all. there is a guys who won a good amount of money from gambling and make them rich AF but it is not as many as people who lost.

but still , a guy who get rich from gambling are there. it can be from slots machine jackpot, a steady income poker etc.

Correct, there are people who are getting rich in gambling like to those who hits jackpots on a certain game. Ex. Lottery and slot machines but its  not a common thing and its very rare since the chance of winning on those  game  is very little  and could hardly win by soeone unless if you are very lucky then you get instant rich.
8958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your aim in gambling???? on: August 22, 2016, 06:25:13 AM
I think most are into gambling for all the wrong reasons. It shouldn't be to make money but more for entertainment.
I guess many gamblers might have different aims time to time according to their mindset. Because going for gambling all the time only for entertainment is not possible for most of the people due to the expensive nature of gambling.
But I am sure they will not be happy all the days at the end of their gambling with the different aims.
I guess, changing gambling aim based on your luck is not a big deal. I usually go for gambling for the intention of making money. If my luck is not favouring me, then I will change my intention like I will start enjoying the thrills of gambling suspense.

Changing aims would depends on a person on how he set it  when he play gambling but i do believe that most of gamblers or players here are aiming the same thing  which is money/profit. I seldom see users  say that they aim for entertainment which is not bad but what ever your aim is  would would definitely lose in the end if you are lacking  of being lucky that time.
8959  Other / Meta / Re: Is it allowed to sell Bitcointalk account? on: August 22, 2016, 06:20:21 AM
So final conclusion is that its allowed to sell bitcointalk account, but many of us share opinion that selling accounts leads to some scam or fraud. Can we find a solution to stop this account buying and selling?
Can we move this conversation on next level by starting to talk about preventing of this trading with accounts? What can we "little people" do about this? We don't have any real power on this forum, and I don't see we can do something about it. Am I wrong?

Theres nothing we could do to us  members only in this forum even mods on this forum have a hard time to stop these things because  we cant stop  an individual  to sold their account to someone and it can be hardly to trace because they can transact anytime without being  traced by someone thats why  as of  now these things continues.

Mod can trace it via ip, but they dont anything with it since buying and selling accounts here is not really illegal but it is not really advisable to do so since many scamming events happen that bought high rank account are mostly involve in that scamming spree happen here, and that is one of plenty reason why they discourage it, and also it is very dangerous for a people to buy some accounts coz there are probabilities that the account they are about to buy is a hack account.

Even if they could trace those account it would solve only a small partition on this problem and  would have a hard time if they would totally ban  of selling accounts. I think thats the thing that they dont even bother to put such rule in this forum because they know already that it could hardly stop.
8960  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: August 22, 2016, 06:16:13 AM
If you want to save money, save at least 10% to 20% of your salary.  That is salary less savings equals expenses.  You need to put savings first and not what is left in your salary.  If you do that you will just lost all the salary as you will only spend the money dedicated to savings.  If you save first then there is no way you could spend that money.  Try to commute instead of driving your own car during work.  You could also try to packed your food instead of eating out.

Thats really a good way on how to save be practical on the way you live not just thinking  to have a comfortable way of living  if you want to save for future then  sacrifice some things that could possibly save your money up. Same as you said  its better to commute  rather than driving your car it would be such add to expenses  on the gasoline compare to comute which saves you a lot.
