8981  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign to exclude Vod from DT. Please join me. on: February 14, 2021, 06:37:20 PM
Vod has not been the same in the last year, and I don't know if it's because of the stroke or COVID or what, but the feedback he left for OP doesn't seem like a feedback he would have given out in earlier times.  I honestly don't see the reason why he left it, and I've looked at the reference link.

Vod has lost his mind.  There is no way any sane person can excuse his behavior.  The only reason he's still in DT at all is because he attacks honest people and the slime currently polluting DT thinks as long as they keep his anger pointed at others it will benefit them.  Now that there are more corrupt than honest users in DT, it will take a lot more of this realization that Vod is a lunatic by those who support him in order to begin making any restoration of the trust network towards having any shred of honesty or decency.  Otherwise, we can watch as this bubble brings the least amount of activity to this forum of any previous, while one project after another continues to disappear or never be built so that Vod can try fruitlessly to sell shares of his scam to unsuspecting users tricked by the DT network into believing he isn't a scammer.  Granted the problem is bigger than just Vod.  I actually think LoyceV and suchmoon are the biggest offenders of this issue, but then again, I've just been here for nearly a decade and done a few hundred million dollars in trades here, while suchmoon gives out merit to his buddies and LoyceV can use tables, so what do I know?
8982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 14, 2021, 06:23:23 PM
This is how scary the Harden and Durant tandem back then and both are now playing the best game together in the same team with Uncle Drew as their point guard. isn't it amazing to watch?
I would say that the role of a point guard is mainly performed by Harden, not uncle Drew, considering that Harden made another double-double with 16 assists in this game.

I'm looking to watch their game on Friday versus the Lakers, I'm sure the game will be the most watch that day.
You're probably right that the battle of Nets' trio vs. James and AD will be interesting because these teams will meet first time this season.

I would agree.  Watching the team play it seems like Harden is the facilitator while Kyrie is mostly being used for isolation plays and Durant as more of a spot up shooter.  I think they've still got a lot of growing to do as a team, and I'm sure the roles will be more evenly distributed going forward.  Right now it's like they're playing pick up basketball with no set plays.  They have the talent to win playing this way, but if they don't get their act together come playoff time I doubt they'll survive the second round.

I'm looking forward to any Laker matchup with the Nets, Clippers, or Bucks.  Always great seeing LeBron show how he's the best of the best.

Just when you think this thread is about to be over, it sucks you back in. Now I’m going to have to remember this thread 4 years from now if Trump runs again. I don’t think he will. I’m sure he’s glad to have his life back. You never know though. Maybe he needs something to do or feels like a second term might add to his legacy. Who knows...
8984  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: February 13, 2021, 10:14:43 PM
I bought 2oz one 2nd-3rd hand. To get in the lottery do people have to do something or it follow the coin/address?

I’m not 100% sure what lottery you’re talking about, but nothing is ever required of Minted Seat owners other than not losing their coins.

They think it's a lottery because only some the coins actually get these "distributions."  One would wonder why all seats don't get paid out?  Many of us are interested in this answer... but I'm sure you'll delete this post so you don't have to explain the scam publicly.

All seats receive BTC weekly from NastyFans distributions. You can see the amount held for each minted seat here: https://nastyfans.org/mint.json

Once seats reach a certain threshold amount, BTC is distributed to the coin’s address with the weekly NastyFans distribution (closing in on 10 years of weekly distributions with over 700 BTC distributed. You can view the distribution history here: https://nastyfans.org/distribution.summary.csv). This is to avoid “dust” amounts building up on the coin that would get eaten with a large transaction fee when the BTC is moved. You can check amounts held on individual coins by using a block explorer and entering the address engraved on the coin.

There are 30,000 seats in total and distributions are supplied by mining rewards from my humble mining operation as well as donations from other members, so expectations should be appropriate. Those only concerned with BTC returns would obviously be better served purchasing online digital seats from https://nastyfans.org than a precious metal coin, but as far as an innovative physical Bitcoin wallet, I think Minted Seats take the cake.

Also, I believe the lotto he inquired about (my response still being valid) is my coming $10,000 coin giveaway mentioned here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=86854.msg56118909#msg56118909
8985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 13, 2021, 09:17:31 PM
To be honest, Curry doesn't have to prove squat to Ray Allen or anyone else for that matter, his numbers speak for him. Reggie Miller is one of the greatest shooters of all time, no questions about that, but Steph is on a different level, based on any metric available. Just the fact that it took him half the games Reggie needed to catch him on all time list while having higher percentage ( 4% higher) is enough to end that conversation.

Allen doesn't like the fact that he will be overpassed as the leader on the list of 3 points made very soon, most likely the next season if Steph remains healthy so now he is just talking bs.

Sure, Curry will pass Allen's record, and some of his stats are better than Ray and Reggie, but if we compare their achievements, we should consider that these players are from different eras. I mean, the current basketball style is much faster, softer than before, and sometimes it's like "run and gun".

I don’t care what era we are talking about... Reggie Miller is nowhere near as good a shooter as Steph. Even in a league with much less competition Reggie never got a ring. Only thing Reggie does better than Steph might be defense, but they’re both terrible by NBA standards so that’s hardly a big talking point.

Curry is the best shooter in NBA history. I don’t even think that’s a controversial statement.

Due to an increase in the value of BTC held by NastyMining, seats attached to coins sold in the NastyShop will be rising in price in the near future causing a slight increase in the price of Minted Seats across the board.  A tip: You can get around any seat price increases in the shop by minting seats you've purchased on the online auction from other members.

Originally purchased Minted Seats from this thread are now holding $190.24 in BTC and an additional $5.38 is pending distribution at the current exchange rate.

8988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Three Indians arrested over illegal betting in ZACS on: February 13, 2021, 05:32:30 PM
It's crazy to think it's possible to game the system like this.  Are results not available live for their audience?  This seems like a standard for anything that is to be bet on.  If this wasn't their first time, they must have thought they found a loophole to win every bet.  I'd bet they did quite a bit of celebrating their new money printing method before the cops closed in on them and ruined their day.  Probably many more ruined days in their future as well...
8989  Other / Meta / Re: Do you click on signatures? on: February 13, 2021, 05:27:07 PM
The only time I've ever clicked someone's signature is when it's advertising a project they're working on and I wanted more information.  I have never clicked a 3rd party advertisement, nor would I.  I tend to think if an advertiser has the money to spend on signature ads, they must be making a whole lot of money off the people they're advertising to, and I'd rather not fall into that category.

8991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: February 13, 2021, 04:50:58 PM
I must be in the strange minority that doesn't care if I ever see Pacquiao fight again.  That Mayweather fight bored me to tears and made me resent both fighters.  They may be two of the best to ever do it or whatever, but I find myself more focused on whatever plate of nachos I'm eating at a random bar then on watching either of them fight.  Maybe the UFC has taken some of my interest away from watching these 140lb guys slap at each other with heavily padded hands for 10 rounds to wait on a decision, but I really really miss the way boxing used to be a long time ago when there were heavyweight champions like Mike Tyson who truly struck fear into the hearts of men.

Alex Caruso is back in the top 10 again in all star voting! Get your votes in for him! I would absolutely love to see this guy make the all star game. He deserves to be known nationally and most casual fans have no idea who he is.
8993  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cryptocurrency value display on: February 12, 2021, 04:10:14 PM
I would have a hard time engaging in any sort of crypto gambling that wasn’t probably honest. I believe that “tables” fall info that category. As for the type of currency used being overwhelming, I’m not sure I agree. I think you just need to interact with crypto or foreign currencies more.
8994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 11, 2021, 11:17:48 PM
Alex Caruso cracked into the top 10 in all star voting. Get him in! I’d love to see Ernie Jr get some respect. That guy is one of my favorites for sure. Besides having some monster highlights, he always seems to be doing exactly what’s needed to help his team win.
8995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best place to trade Namecoin? on: February 11, 2021, 09:27:11 PM

As far as what's on the pinned post on their Telegram group stated:

"At the moment there is just one trustworthy exchange for Namecoin with an acceptable price and tradevolume:
coinex.com (https://www.coinex.com/exchange?currency=BTC&dest=NMC#spot)"

They put a warning on other trading platforms that listed them;
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5134880.0

Thanks. I’ll look into that. Feels like it’s time for a rebalancing of the old crypto portfolio suddenly.  Grin

There used to be a great site that handled only nmc/BTC conversions, but I guess that went bye bye several years ago.
8996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 11, 2021, 07:15:51 PM

NBA All-Star update, the plan is to make all events happen on a single night. The dunk contest is planned to insert during half-time.

I don't get it, why they don't just hold the Dunk Contest on a separate schedule on that day instead. No difference at all.

The players are crying about having to be away from their family, which I'm not sure why this year that's suddenly a problem.  This seems like a way to try and make them happy, that they only need to spend a single day away from their families.  I feel for these athletes and the ridiculous requirements they have to meet to play these days, but some of the guys complaining are making over 40 million dollars per year.  That's almost a million dollars per week, and they still complain about having to attend an all star weekend that is supposed to be filled with fun and lasting memories for fans.  There's too much money out there...  People are forgetting why they started doing things in the first place.
8997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Best place to trade Namecoin? on: February 11, 2021, 09:48:27 AM
Anyone have any experience trading NMC? What site did you use? How was your experience?

Namecoin’s low market cap has made it an unpopular coin for exchanges to list, and it seems decent volume markets aren’t easy to come by.

2 back to back OT games between OKC and Lakers. From the looks of it, it seems like another OT win for the Lakers. LeBron's clutch 3 pointer tied the game to bring it into overtime. Dort had a free 3 for the win, but he missed it.

In the other game, Bucks trailed by 1 with 2.5 secs to go and they decided to give the ball to Giannis outside the 3point line instead of giving it to Middleton. Giannis takes a jumper and of course, misses. I don't know why Giannis is standing outside of 3 point line in the first place and what their plan was with just 2.5 secs remaining.

Edit: Lakers win 114 - 113 OKC

We have 3 great games today that is only won by 1 point.

113--114 Lakers
124-125 Suns
117-118 Mavericks.

All these are great games to see, it looks like the old NBA is back where we see a thrilling game like this.

Hopefully we can see more of this entertaining games and congrats to the winners.

The most interesting game for me of the 3 was the suns vs Bucks, I'm just amazed how improved the Suns this season, they can give a tough game to the best teams in the NBA and even win. How bad the decision of the rockets to trade Chris Paul for Westbrook, they just destroy a championship team instead of just adding one star.

Booker and Paul make for a good backcourt. Ayton has also been developing nicely and is capable of a big game here and there. I’m not surprised the Suns are doing well, especially after their undefeated run in the bubble to end last season.

Chris Paul wanted away from Harden and Westbrook wanted to play with Harden. The trade was really more about making all the stars happy then it was about improving any one team.
8999  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] WILL TRUMP BE ELECTED TO A SECOND TERM? on: February 11, 2021, 12:19:35 AM
When Trump "lost" the election I thought this thread would die.  Then it came out that his supporters wanted him to run again in 2024 so I thought maybe there's a chance.  Now the democrats are impeaching and it looks like this thread may again get a definitive answer.  That is, until the next strange turn of events.  No matter how you look at it though, sitcom drama has made it's way to the White House and everything is right on schedule for our future Idiocracy.

You forgot the part where he summoned the angry mob to go storm the capital so that he wouldn't 'lose' the election.

Summoned the angry mob. LOL. As if people have no personal responsibility. If you think the government couldn’t stop a group of photographers chasing a couple weirdos for photo ops from running around in the capital then there is no hope for you.
9000  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think BiPolarBob is crazy ?? - share with us the help he gave to you on: February 10, 2021, 09:25:25 PM
Bipolar Bob was a legend 🤩🤩🤩

Indeed he was.  He gave to me at a time when it helped and I've tried to give back more to others as a thank you.  One thing I really respect about him is that he seemingly gave to so many people that his generosity was almost certainly abused yet he continued to give without concern.  I've struggled with my giveaways to find users worthy of receiving such kindness and have stopped many due to abuse.  BiPolarBob didn't have this concern.  I feel like he would have given to 100 scammers if that meant he could help a few people who genuinely needed it, and that is an attitude that impresses me, as I struggle to try and cope with the idea of helping everyone in spite of their worthiness.  Whatever events led up to BiPolarBob's kindness, I am thankful for them and I hope to one day inspire the sort of pay it forward kindness in others that BiPolarBob helped to establish in me.
