901  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] btctip.com- send bitcoins with a tweet on: June 29, 2012, 05:42:53 PM
I wrote down in my "List of things to do with Cheaper In Bitcoins dot com" to accept payments from twitter/BTCtip.com

Does this sound like a useful feature?

I imagine one would tweet the following

#btctip @[payee's Twitter username] [amount] [unit] [cib order id #]

Then cheaperinbitcoins.com would check by some means and approve of the transaction.

For anyone who was interested in collaborating, I have 5 BTC to give away for contributors to help with this documentation here is the official thread for it

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90588.0

and here is the official progress of the documentation

904  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin Pseudo-Client and Documentation on: June 29, 2012, 03:22:41 AM
So I started a Pseudocode client, its more like documentation then it is as a client and its purpose is so any developer can check out the pseudo code and convert it to their chosen programming language. Here is what I have so far and will be adding more on to it as I have time and learn more. Anyone who has pseudo code to contribute please respond and we'll talk about it being added to the pages.
It looks primitive and sad right now but it will help a lot of developers with creating their own bit coin clients and understanding how current custom clients work(not to mention the satoshi client)

https://github.com/Xenland/Bitcoin-Pseudocode-Client/tree/gh-pages

(Work in progress Github PAGES http://xenland.github.com/Bitcoin-Pseudocode-Client/ )

Topics described
Verifying a Bitcoin address
Creating a Bitcoin address (Code finished, Explanation required)

The topics need to be written are:
*Query for a list of public Bitcoin nodes.
*Requesting information from other nodes (Should include instructions with all available current commands the official Bitcoin client accepts)
*Verifying the Block chain and individual blocks (Should include instructions on how to download/request blocks from other nodes)
*Mining Operations

I'm going to leave this link here for my self as I feel I am aimming for something that isn't created quite yet and I'll need a list of all these informative links

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Protocol_rules
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Genesis_block
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Technical_background_of_Bitcoin_addresses
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Pesudocode Client on: June 28, 2012, 01:55:24 AM
Both of those links are very informative but I think they were both more directed at understanding the C++ satoshi client than pseudo code of the operations required but I guess with enough time I could write my own pseudo-code manual.
907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Pesudocode Client (5 BTC total for contributors) on: June 28, 2012, 01:10:00 AM
Very curious in finding a paper that describes how the Bitcoin client works in its various processes and then go into more detail describing what kind of psuedocode would be involved to accomplish the subjected task(send bitcoins, check balances in the block chain for btc addresses that you own, multi sig transactions)

If their is not anything like that I would be willing to pay 1 BTC for something like this to be written up. It should be detailed enough to where an experience developer in the selected programming language(java, php, etc) should be able to assume what is required to convert it.
Cheers mates!
(Not talking about satoshis' white paper either)
908  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [Open Bounty] Mining Farm to work with p2pool on: June 27, 2012, 07:28:55 PM
BAMT + p2pmining.com?
Not sure what your suggestion is exactly, but I'd also like to note that most of these people that contact me usually are looking for private solutions that could facilitate control of miners from a local web interface as well as a internet panel to control and watch graphs and stats over the internet.

I'm willing to work on what ever the miners desire as far as features would require is I just need input!
909  Economy / Marketplace / [Open Bounty] Mining Farm to work with p2pool on: June 27, 2012, 06:31:37 PM
I've been getting many requests for this to be completed yet nobody wants to fess up to pay the time it will take for me to research p2pool and the time it will take to convert Mining farms' exsiting code to work with p2pool. So I'm starting this thread to start a bounty to collect funds to justify the time required to make this happen. If you are interested in making this project succeed, chime in and I will release an address publicly for everyone to contribute to the bounty.

I think a good incentive is 16 BTC but if there is only 5+ btc at the end of the month in the public address I'll work on it any-ways but will have to put paying projects I receive in the mean time the #1 priority so it will take significantly longer to finish.

I'd just like to note that under no circumstances will I ever advertise... "Bitcoin is backed by god" lol

Fck you OP! as a religious man, i will pray for you everynight
 Roll Eyes
lol

I was speculating how god isnt a person and really is a consistant force that we humans like to call math. I happed to stumble upon this page http://www.superiching.com/moreongod.htm and the more it got me thinking about bitcoins formula.

Thoughts? Ideas? Crazy comments?

Ok, sure.  If God is math, and bitcoin is backed by math, then bitcoin is backed by God.  Just as if a bachelor is an unmarried man, and John is an unmarried man, then John is a bachelor.  Your argument is certainly valid, but it's definitely not sound; at least not until you offer a compelling argument why anyone ought to believe that God is math, which, BTW, is going to entail you making an argument for why people ought to believe there is such a thing as God*.  Good luck.

*This is assuming that you really are trying to get to the conclusion that bitcoin is backed by God.

Looking at my argument, It might be better to say math is a universal representation of god (Assuming that we did find the formula for "everything" aka string theory or m-theory or what ever the universal theory is called these days)
I believe something is keeping everything consistent, as suppose we did find a formula for everything.... we will always be left wondering "Why does it do that?"
