901  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How do I pay taxes? on: February 17, 2014, 08:54:16 PM
No one is sure. My CPA commented that even they are unclear how to deal with it.
Safest thing is pay capital gains tax just like any other income and if you overpaid, at
least you won't go to jail.  ;-)

Quite true think every needs to do this what about the people who forgot about Bitcoin and have only recently found it for example the guy who have like 6 millions worth in the news recently did he pay tax?

I guess we are dividing and conquering we have around 20 people doing this my estimation we need a lot more people than that.

What is wrong with this? ponzis are gambling and are in the right sub-forum.
904  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any ps3 emulators? on: February 17, 2014, 08:30:00 PM
The only reason I bought a ps3 recently was because of the last of us and it was worth every $ I spent I have played around about 6 times now.

You have only played on it 6 times since you bought it? sounds like a waste too me I will play it 100s of times and complete it around about 10 times knowing me.
905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This message was too old and has been purged on: February 17, 2014, 08:27:18 PM
Evil do you have any advise on making this 'easier'?
906  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any ps3 emulators? on: February 17, 2014, 08:05:08 PM
I've watched the last of us being played from start to finish and it really did play with my emotions and I was addicted and watched it two times after that now I just want to get the feel of playing it to even though I know the story I would love to play it.
907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin startups on: February 17, 2014, 08:02:51 PM
I'm confused about what this is about, but getting offers to invest in a Silk Road style marketplace seems pretty dodgy to me.

Ok Erik and Roger just invested in a company that is looking to be the "coinbase of europe". They always get great deals to invest in great companies in bitcoin. I am an accredited investor so I can invest in angel rounds of startups. Yet my inbox only gets investments in the ideas that are worthless. So I just wanted to make the community aware that a lot of us can bring a lot of talent and money to startup if they lets us invest.

I have always wanted to invest in a Bitcoin start up but can never find any which are interested I would never invest in any thing which is illegal though for example silk road.

Yeah exactly this, I invested in a few it was so much fun. I know but I get those offers, like a hobo in the back of the dumpster i am getting the leftovers of the leftovers.

Where do you normally contact these people just out of interest I might take a look to see if I can jump on anything I just look at these forums hoping to find a good startup.

I didn't see that last time I ssaw this thread 50k words for $1 is just stupid I could get that in 5 minutes by posting elsewhere.
909  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any ps3 emulators? on: February 17, 2014, 07:56:06 PM
My pc is pretty good but I don't think there is any confirmed emulators so looks like I'll have to buy a ps3 if only it was on the ps4.

912  Other / Off-topic / Re: Phew - I got the fuck out of there. on: February 17, 2014, 07:48:02 PM
is there a city with 75k population in england?

Dunno, we do tend to have a lot of cities with fuck all in them and very few people though.

I didn't mean it to offend any one I have always wanted to move to london because it looks great or at least around the surronding area of london.

At any member of staff: Please delete this account. Thank you.
No way to delete. But if you delete yours posts and no login in account again, it disappear

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=67541.msg785785#msg785785

If he is wanting to delete is account to hide his tracks then deleting your posts will show to the moderators and then a mod would probably come forward and say that he was wanting his account deleted because of x reason.

AGAIN! NSFW TAG. Fuck, some people have jobs that they view a forum at, don't need someone getting reprimanded because your stupid ass never put a 4 letter tag.

Why is this even here?

what are you talking about? the person was suggesting adding the tag to the title to tell people its not safe for work.

Is it really unsafe? You see more skin on random advertising on the web Smiley But yes, I agree that maybe it should get a nsfw tag for everyone has a different opinion as what is safe or unsafe.

I agree with you you do see more on advertisements around the web and on other things around the web and I don''t think it REALLY needs one so you have a great point.
915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Linux live cd with Bitcoin already installed? on: February 17, 2014, 07:32:58 PM
Wouldn't trust it, if it did exist.

Which flavour of linux you using? I've not had problems on Mint, so expect all flavours Debian are stable.

Can you not just download bitcoin-0.8.6-linux.tar.gz from https://bitcoin.org/bin/0.8.6/ extract from tar.gz and run the //bitcoin-0.8.6-linux/bin/32/bitcoin-qt ?

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 but have had problems installing from the terminal. I haven't extracted the tar.gz from bitcoin.org and I guess I could try that and see if that works I don't know why it's not working in the command line because I have root access etc.

You can install Bitcoin from the repository (I think it is called). I originally did it from here without problems though (not using a tarball) - http://www.distrogeeks.com/install-bitcoin-qt-ubuntu/
I had no problems on Ubunto 13.10 but imagine it would be the same on 12.04.

thanks I will check it out now and see if I can get it to install I was hoping to find a linux live cd which had no other packages on too because that would be great for a offline wallet.
916  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BITKAMA.COM - The service marketplace for Bitcoin - 1 Bitcoin Challenge on: February 17, 2014, 07:18:17 PM
Looks promising but why is there a minimum withdrawal limit that kind of sucks?
917  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How do I pay taxes? on: February 17, 2014, 07:17:20 PM
So if I hold Bitcoin in my wallet for more than a year I have to pay taxes on that? are you sure?
918  Other / Off-topic / Re: i used to own these domains on: February 17, 2014, 07:16:09 PM
I don't think they are worth much more than what you purchased them for do you still have these?
919  Other / Off-topic / Re: Phew - I got the fuck out of there. on: February 17, 2014, 07:15:14 PM

920  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: February 17, 2014, 07:13:00 PM
FYI guys I've still been following up on this.  The police are still waiting for responses from their inquiries (not uncommon apparently, especially when dealing with PayPal) and are relying on interstate and international resources as they don't believe TF resides in this country.
I've been told it's a low priority case and to 'remain patient'.  I'll be contacted if there's any development and will pass the info on.

Good thanks for making the effort which maybe none of us are capable of and hopefully we can get to the bottom of this.
