Well at this moment there are roughly 21 million coins for sale on mint pal, and 16.8 million in orders to buy.
So more buyers than sellers.
However the coin is trading right now in an up and down column, a bit like a mini pump dump cycle but on a very small scale. Not worth the time to take part in.
My feeling is when the wallet is up and ready to go, there are all of the sudden going to be a lot more than 21 million for sale... That said, without a huge upsurge in buy demand the price will tumble.
Now things change of course once buying begins... People move positions higher. But right now if someone walked in with a single buy to the sky order of 200 BTC, the price would only reach 1600.
I was holding, and now I am carefully liquidating much of my holdings, in hopes to be completely out by the time the wallet hits.
That said, I still want to own WC... And will buy back in. But I would not be surprised if we see prices in the 100-200 range.
Remember, just 2 nights ago we skimmed 550.
This will be a swing of a much larger scale. The possibility of tens, if not a hundred million coins hitting the exchange (no way to know)
But right now, there are only 16.8 million in demand.

I'm 99% sure it's just a bug in the reporting, but anyway... what number of 10-chains it found? 3 10 ch 2 blocks Pending confirmation in wallet. First run was I think 4 10 ch. 2 blocks. Both blocks confirmed. |

i get 5.6 CPD on 2 290x's with 2 opterons x6 at 2ghz cpuusage 9 up doesnt really change anything
4.6 with 2 7970's on a fx-8320 at 4.2ghz
and 2.3 with 1 7970 with a 3.8ghz phenom ii
but i do have to restart the miner after a while still its random on each rig
What core/mem clocks do you use? are there any specific ports that i should not be using

Looks like somebody is interested to keep the price ~800 ... When u sell some WC - somebody's buying at the same time to prevent the feeling that the price is falling  Good chance to sell your remaining WC's - coin by coin for ~800 before masive dump. Oh yes there will be one for sure, sooner or latter. The one's that are selling now are not the majority stakeholders that comprise the new WhiteCoin Foundation. If you sell now you lose. How you can say that? Ppl have right to sell when they want to. What if price will be 500 sato after new walllet? It is stupid to sell at 800 at rebuy at lower price? I don't think so. Looks like the community is grinding the trading to a stop all on its own, to hold until wallet release. Interesting but may work and mitigate some of the selling.
Just did an analysis using the Trade Estimator:
If an immediate 100BTC Buy was initiated (no max price just up the chain):
100 BTC would yield Yield 10,300,000 WC
avg price 969.
Would top price to 1115
Opposite, if someone sold 100BTC with no bottom, just down the chain:
16,022,000 WC would yield 100 BTC.
Avg price 620.
Would bottom at 300

In addition, WC haters have been spreading mass lies the past day and a half in the forums. The coin dropped to 550, recovered to 690- which is when I published my on the subject.
It then went on to top out around 1085.

The buy support is already thin. I ran these estimates on BitcoinWisdom using the trade estimator. Be aware of this folks!
If we see at 15 Million influx of coins to Mintpal, the price to liquidate those will drop to roughly 611, based on current buy orders. In all likelihood the price will drop lower, as buyers seeing the drop will pull their buy orders expecting a lower price. 15 Million WC is only 5% of the Market Cap.
If we see 30 Million coins, or 10% of the market cap hit the market, in order for those buyers to sell the price would crash to 98. That's right- 98.
I am willing to bet that only a very small percentage, perhaps 20% or less, is actually in the exchanges at the moment. Meaning 80% is in lockdown, and as soon as the wallet is released no doubt a lot of nervous traders will be moving their coins to sell. I don't feel my predictions, or estimates of 5 and 10% are overstated. They could very well be underestimated and the fall out far worse.
I am not posting this to cause a panic. But panic and massive sell offs as soon as the wallet is released is very likely to happen, I just think everyone should be aware of what we are likely to see this morning.
The price will hopefully recover as the development team has been and will be hard at work fixing the bugs and promoting this coin.

I think this post will only feed panic. So the purpose is destructive rather than constructive. Panic will occur when the coins start flooding in for sale. What's going on guys? I don't time to go through the 10 pages of posts since last time I logged in. But WC doesn't seem dead to me. Mintpal is currently showing WC as the top coin in terms of volume ahead of BC.
I guess I'll hang on to my WC and see how things unfold.
