901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can BCC be worth anything allready? on: July 31, 2017, 06:19:13 AM
Considering the amount of people that are saying they will dump bitcoincash I don't think it will be worth much very soon.
902  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best Bitcoin wallet to keep private keys in preparation for 1 August on: July 28, 2017, 06:43:00 AM
Mycelium is a decent wallet and you don't have go through downloading the entire chain.
903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitstamp Comes Out Against Bitcoin Cash on: July 27, 2017, 04:41:12 PM
I think it is in the exchanges best interest to try to get themselves setup so they can issue users with BCC otherwise if they haven't already, a lot of users will be moving their bitcoin out of the exchanges into their own wallets.
904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be wise to ONLY invest into alt coins? on: July 27, 2017, 12:54:07 PM
The obvious thing to do if you just come into bitcoin is to invest into bitcoin, it's only upon deeper learning you come to realise there is a whole altcoin world in play.

True that if you invest in bitcoin the movement is not going to be amazing, if you invest in the altcoin world depending on the altcoin you are in there is the chance that the increase and decrease could be tremendous and therefor earning you more bitcoin.

It is all a gamble, the choice is yours but which ever way you go please make sure you do a decent amount of research on the coin you will be investing in.
905  Economy / Services / Re: Can someone work whole day ( 18-20 hrs ) for 0.005 btc ? on: July 27, 2017, 07:45:51 AM
That is crazy low for that amount of hours, even someone who isn't working would be better investing their time on faucets which would probably bring in more than that.
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any danger /risk having my bitcoins at Poloniex,Bitrex after 1 August ? on: July 27, 2017, 07:35:43 AM
Probably best to move your coins to your own wallet during this period so you will be able to receive the bitcoincash coins.  Also I would not recommend sending your coins straight away until it is clear on how to split them, apparently when you get your bitcoincash they will be at the same address and there could be a chance if you were to send your BCC you will lose your BTC.

I am going to wait a while until others have tested and it is clear on how to proceed.

Edit: There is replay protection so the coins should split once the fork happens, still I would wait a bit to see if it works smoothly before sending coins.
907  Economy / Economics / Re: Never Fear! Buy Bitcoins to make your life clear! on: July 27, 2017, 07:32:43 AM
There should be no need to worry, if you are looking to get your share of the bitcoincash airdrop then all you need to do is have your coins in your own wallet that provides you with your private keys, bitcoin itself I don't think will take a big hit because of bitcoincash if anything it will just get stronger.
908  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: On august 1... on: July 26, 2017, 09:33:32 PM
Wisest thing to do is to move your coins into your own local wallet which gives you your own private keys and see how it all works out afterwards, if BitcoinCash does launch then make sure you split your coins before making any transactions.
909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC ICO Enforcement on: July 26, 2017, 04:41:43 PM
I expect to see a lot of new launches of traditional PoW and PoS coins come back into favor.

I would really like to see mined coins and PoS coins take the show back from ICOs for awhile.
There is no return to be had anymore on any of these ICOs and the scam level of ICOs has reached a fever pitch right now.

Will be interesting to see how exchanges react to SEC news.

--Will ICO coins be delisted? Will they be restricted to non-US traders only?
--Or will exchanges get proper approval from SEC? Do they even need approval?
--Will they fight it? Will they work out a deal? Or will they disregard it until action comes?

I agree, I would like to see a good old fashioned coin launch allowing it to be mined with no premine and no ICO.  Not every launch has to have an ICO, the ICO trendy phase will come to an end sooner or later.
910  Other / Meta / Re: Countries that banned bitcointalk.org on: July 26, 2017, 02:38:04 PM
I think China just wants to ban everything, I think it would be pretty hard to ban this forum due to the various ways people can access the internet.
911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DivotyCoin Launched on: July 26, 2017, 07:31:49 AM
Even though it seems a bit sketchy in the launch at least this is not an ICO and is something for the old school miners.
912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if all coins disappear?? on: July 26, 2017, 07:30:10 AM
All coins including bitcoin? that would mean the shutdown of the internet and we'll have to go back to writing postcards, letters and reading books.
913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC stand on TheDAO tokens is an eye-opener on: July 26, 2017, 07:29:11 AM
Just in case people have not seen it just yet here is the link https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2017-131
914  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is now dropping again on: July 26, 2017, 07:27:21 AM
Give it a few days and it will fly up just before August 1st, now would be a good time to pick up some, well I hope it will.  We will just have to be strong and hold Smiley
915  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which is the best bitcoin virtual debit card? on: July 26, 2017, 07:24:26 AM
This is a pretty decent list of most of the providers out there, varying fees etc.  a lot if not most of them will have negative review here, the only one I ever looked into was Spectrocoin which are pretty decent so far.  If you catch some of them at the right time there is the off giveaway of cards.
916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin fork lower even after August 1st? on: July 26, 2017, 07:19:34 AM
After the initial fork before Aug 1st, whats the possibility of Bitcoins forking even further even after Aug 1-2?
The chances seem slim just thinking about it, but what are your thoughts?

Anyone can fork bitcoin at any time. The trick is to get people to go along with it.
Yep, what odolvlobo said.  It will be interesting to see just how many will go along with Bitcoincash, the price seems to be dropping slightly now for bitcoin as people will no doubt buy into the fear of everything collapsing.
917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: July 25, 2017, 04:27:26 PM
This is going to get confusing, I was looking for Bitcoin Cash and followed BCC and ended up here.
918  Economy / Services / Re: DIMCOIN Signature Campaign on: July 25, 2017, 12:33:44 PM
Received as usual thanks.  Did I miss something? that's two people now I see mentioning that this was the last week for the campaign is this right?
919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash: A fork is coming after all on: July 25, 2017, 12:05:03 PM
Well this was unexpected, not sure what will happen now.  Almost in time for the Mayweather vs McGregor fight which measures up pretty similar to Mayweather being BTC and Conor being BCC.
920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: July 25, 2017, 12:00:30 PM
Can't hurt to move your coins off the exchanges and see how it all develops, and I thought the excitement was all over but this comes along Smiley
