901  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Remitano exchange allegedly hacked on: September 16, 2023, 10:36:45 PM

902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: September 16, 2023, 01:56:59 PM
So I forgot about fantasy after the international break and I tried to open it to set up some changes like 5 minutes before the first game started.
5 minutes before the first kick off means, you were already 25minutes late to make any changes on your time. The game league would run into a reset or preparation mood and you can’t even do much then except, read news and check fixtures.
Hope you’ve been able to recover login details though.

I still kept my captaincy on Nunez... knowing he had some injury from international, knowing he might not start, because I really thought Wolves would be a good reset team.
Captaincy on Darwin Nunez! Come on, he haven’t got that consistency yet to carry such a heavy challenge. He played a slight unstable football today, he’s footwork weren’t right as he seemed to struggle in finding balance and rhythm with the ball. Although, their presence on the pitch brought about a lot of difference to the dynamics of the game.
You might be lucky with 4 points off Darwin for your captaincy, lol.. Klopp had you on this one.

Salah still yet on my trigger so I missed points from his hattrick of assists but he will soon be on my sights, if I can sort out my midfield.
Don’t want to have regrets on that yet but, that was good enough for Salah in this game. Having a stationary defense built about him with Rayan and M. Salah’s intent for the game pretty much changed to giving assists. Such ingenious passes he chipped in, making sure there was a defender up ahead to put the goal scorers on sight.
Am still looking up to 2 of my introduced players to make up for those points so, I have little course for regrets yet.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: September 16, 2023, 12:52:07 PM
Today's Liverpools starting 11 looks weak without the likes of Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk(red card) responsible for defensive duties and looking at how much they have allowed Wolves to come close towards their goal I see this going Wolves way unless the like of Diaz and Nunez are brought on to try and salvage a point or something...and with this result, this is what I dislike about international breaks...they just disturb a teams momentum!!!
Btw, anybody having Liverpool assets, I feel your pain!
It was surely a weak team Liverpool had in the first half and you could tell by how badly they played and how Wolverhampton capitalized on every chance they’ve got. Can’t say but, it was cool having to watch M. Semedo handle the ball through the Liverpool players, he seemed quite confident with his play and it was all Wolverhampton in the first half but, the Tempo of the game is changed now. You could always trust Klopp to come up with some interesting switch in play for a second half and that seems to be the case as you could see Liverpool mounting so much pressure in the second half.

I wonder just why Klopp had Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez on the bench. I mean, these are the players that had made huge impacts for Liverpool just before the international break and coming to see them not in the first line up… that was something I didn’t understand with Klopp but, he’s got his hands to it.

I got M. Salad off my team to have enough balance to get some players in like Maddison and J. Alvarez. Now, M. Salah has got his assists and is still out here looking for his chance on goal. Hope I don’t get to regret my decision.
904  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Was it my fault or not? on: September 15, 2023, 11:17:01 PM
A few days later, I told the police to bring me the lady that sent the coins to my director's Bitcoin address, So they did. To cut a long story short, when I checked the address the lady sent the Bitcoin to, it was a USDT address that my director gave to the lady to send Bitcoin to unknowingly to him.

After that, I was granted bail, so I look for money to bail myself out, but the happiness I heard was that I didn't sell any of my coins while I was in a hard situation, so I know that since I didn't sell my coins to bail myself from the police cell I can hold my coins for longer time.
Was it my fault?
It’s possible that the police could pick someone up in a mass arrest situation but, it’s not always the case when you’re singled out for an arrest. You must have committed something or born out of a misunderstanding.

As initiator of idea and a more better expert on the course in your supermarket as I’ll like to presume,
It’s okay for you to instruct them to call you when confused or not take a transaction at all when you’re not readily available. They’ve been doing well with fiat and could still manage a few days of your absence from work. It’s easy to say, “our sales rep in cryptocurrency collection isn’t available” and you provide alternatives.

Either ways, I can’t blame it on anyone as you’ve rightly stated it to be an issue of misunderstanding. It ain’t your fault, neither is that of your boss. You both misunderstood each other.
905  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying goods or services using crypto on: September 15, 2023, 11:02:51 PM

Nowadays, most merchants accept bitcoin as a payment option in their businesses. But if Bitcoin holders don't think it's practical to use it as an online payment, especially if you're a long-term holder, of course you'll think about its value when it comes next year, possibly high for sure.

Maybe, even Ethereum seems difficult to use as a mode of payment in online business or traditional. Because these cryptos are really good and have the potential to hold in the long-term.
I don’t know where these merchants are that I am never getting hodl of them. Maybe it’s my country but, am still yet to met a merchant that would accept bitcoin for exchange of his or her much needed services or products. On the forum perhaps but that’s at some risk and a question of reputation but, for some physical representation of the process to exchange of goods and services, I’m yet to future even though am willing for record’s sake at the very least.

I agree with you that, if bitcoin hodlers or investors aren’t willing to transact with bitcoin as a based currency just yet, the whole idea is thwarted. This will continue to be the case in the phase of gradual acceptance and the volatile nature of the currency. You can’t blame anyone on that, it’s still gaining some expansion and users are out for gains.
906  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: September 15, 2023, 10:56:29 PM
this is a man's world! like it's real lol
But it would be nothing without a woman or a girl. Biblically, Adam got to feel the nothingness before he was given Eve, lol!

Quote
The problem of responsibility as a housewife or wife often makes the majority of women have to bury their ambitions to become entrepreneurs, well I myself am currently carrying out two roles as a housewife and an online entrepreneur, it really drains energy when problems come and there aren't any none of that helps, many also say that women can't build a business because they are too sensitive and get carried away by their feelings about anything, to be honest I agree with this saying.
It’s always been a man’s world and women are just doing the most they could in trying to fit in and compete favorably and at times, I feel that’s a problem. Having the impression that it is about them @women, trying to compete with the men. It carries an idea that, it ain’t really your place or thing.
Men do this and act this way because, they have a sense of duty and responsibility towards being that person or doing that thing. If women don’t think this way or have that mindset about duty, then, it’s always going to be a man’s play ground.

Still, I’ll like to say, the women of our time are doing well and their efforts and challenge posed on the men is overly noticed and appreciated. You push men above their limits with the works you guys are putting in and for these, we have better men now than we would have a century ago.
907  Economy / Economics / Re: Economics is not fulfilling its true potential as a science on: September 15, 2023, 10:42:47 PM
Even while driving, you’ve got to hit some bumps on the road. It’s the way it is in my country. You can never win all the wars you fight, it’s a profit and lose market. You win some and you lose some. You can only hope that your profit out weights your loses.

Being an economist doesn’t make you a perfectionist that can solve all the problems arising in your immediate environment. You can only solve a few and maybe some theories would not apply but then, there are other theatrics that do applies in other aspects to living.

Like we can see in demand and supply curves,
Economies that produce more of what they consume and do more in export other than import would always have a fairly stable standard of living. These are some bases to stability and humanity is sure to create its own problems. We could only try!
908  Economy / Economics / Re: Building wealth it's not just one time Luck on: September 15, 2023, 10:33:13 PM

If there’s wealth that you were able to built out from a single luck, then expect that it will also vanish all of a sudden just like a thin air. That’s why stable wealth are hard to build and establish. Sometimes, you need more than just one luck, and a sufficient knowledge and skills, and a good amount of patience in order to build your wealth. If you do everything and yet you’re still not lucky, probably you are doing the wrong and ineffective way.
Can anyone build wealth out of a single luck? I mean, let’s look at it.
Wealth is much different from when you say someone is rich! They both aren’t the same thing and vast significantly by my understanding.

Rich simply puts you in a position of having just enough money to maintain a lifestyle around the average level. Maybe you own a house, car, business, few properties, family and can afford most of your expense.
When someone is wealthy, you almost own enough joy yo work a day anymore in your lifetime and still, you would be rich enough to afford all that you would desire.

That’s how I look at them and I don’t think it’s a level one can archive out of a single luck. People can inherit wealth but, you don’t get wealthy out of luck.
909  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Network Congestion Issue in Remitano on: September 14, 2023, 08:56:06 PM
This is what I got from Remitano in my email box. It is not a news that the exchange has been facing so e challenges for the past few weeks and here again. Another maintenance.

Quote
Currently, we are conducting essential maintenance on our coin deposit/withdrawal system due to a network issue. This may result in temporary delays and interruptions in deposits and withdrawals. We anticipate this maintenance to last for approximately 48 hours.
Lately, Remitano don dey turn watin person no dey understand. The rate at which them dey come up with these maintenance this and that dey very disturbing and unsatisfying plus, you dey at risk of loosing your coin should you not be informed in time and you transact within this period. The only thing you go see from them be say, them go just put out a statement on the development and possible consequence and just like that, them don end am.
E no just sure for them this period and if you dey conduct business with them, e dey best you better visit there site first before you even initiate any transaction. Them dey like put info on dashboard so, you got get tips way you no notice on your mail.
No neglect exchanges and try dey use this same approach with other exchanges so, you no go sorry for yourself.

~snipe-
I figure a lot of frustration was put into creating this thread and as such, it came with a hand pouring error or perhaps English isn’t your first language and maybe your getting on with the aid of a translator because, it wasn’t an easy read. I had to do my best to connect the dots to make sense out of some statements.

From what I get,
You went seeking a loan and you were offered a mortgage at an outrageous percentage, you as well sort out a property in real estate to invest in but, it’s been offered at yet another high price and they still won’t let you inspect the property for damages or devalue it.
Hope I got all that right though! If that be the case,

Then that’s just how crappy the situation could be when you’re hoping to make meaning of your life from the bank. It comes at a high price but, you can’t get that in cryptos. Loans offered are relatively very low given the fact that, trust is what is been worked with and it’s only on a forum such as this. You’ll always be better off having generated your own money.
912  Economy / Economics / Re: Economics 101. Stagflation. on: September 14, 2023, 08:22:03 PM
Plus if you didn't pay attention in your Economics class in school, it's currently the best time to learn about it because it's probably going to come sooner than expected. So let's discuss.
I probably didn’t pay much attention to my economic classes but, am surely paying much attention now.

Quote
Blame Oil Price Shocks
One theory states that stagflation is caused when a sudden increase in the cost of oil reduces an economy's productive capacity.

Because transportation costs rose, producing products and getting them to shelves became more expensive and prices rose even as people were laid off from their jobs.
I think my country has made this make with the drastic rise in oil price following the removal of the subsidy on the petroleum products. This pushed price to almost triple the formal price at an instant without any warning. This has result in citizens having to pack their vehicles and seek alternative means of movement.
The gist of transportation has gone up as well and with majority of the citizens living within the minimum wage range, it makes life extremely difficult for most people and consequently affects production.

Quote
Blame Poor Economic Policies
Another theory is that the confluence of stagnation and inflation is the result of poorly made economic policy. Harsh regulation of markets, goods, and labor in an otherwise inflationary environment are cited as the possible cause of stagflation.
As stated above,
The policy was instantaneous, not deliberated on and we are still having to face the adversity that comes with it while hoping on a better reinvestment of the funds that would be generated from it. We just can’t tell if that would be happening.

Still, government is looking to put in place more hikes in other sectors to ensure money is being generated without looking at production. They seem to forget this money goes in circles!
913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Marry a Coin/Project - Practically Example on: September 14, 2023, 06:25:25 PM
This is a boat I’ve rocked before with some altcoins when I was still a beginner in the cryptospace and was always out there looking out for profit. I still have some of my bought coins the. Up to this moment because I was the die hard kind of investor and had a deep believe in the coins I chose to invest with haven’t done my analysis.
Thighs, I didn’t have a sky rocket profit like the case was with this particular investor in the OP but, I had a minimal profit that wouldn’t have been bad tacking profit. At the moment, I’ve had my coins dump to nothing.

This is how my focus shifted from anything altcoins and is very focused on bitcoin right now. The assurances on it is much more than any coin out there and when it dumps, it’s sure to pump.

I just hope the user was able to pay back his debt as I feel that would be a wise option  I mean, how do you be $3m in profit and then, you don’t get to pay back your debts at least. That’s would be some dumb and greedy move. I like to think he did though. Still, it’s not really over with Dodgecoin is it? He could as well be faithful to his vows with Dodgecoin.
914  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holder are not maximizing the bitcoin potential on: September 14, 2023, 06:01:05 PM
It's interesting to note that many Bitcoin holders might not be fully capitalizing on the inherent volatility of this digital asset. The Bitcoin market can undergo price fluctuations of around 3 to 4 times in a single day, which offers ample opportunities for those who choose to engage in active trading.
It is very true that hodlers as the case often is for investors of our time aren’t actively taking advantage of the volatile nature of bitcoin as a result, lose out of the daily opportunities of gains you could get out of a prevailing market condition.
It also prevents some loses as well given that, the result isn’t always gains and gains.

What comes to mind about hodling is risk management as, you cannot completely understand the market and not actively trading not only keeps you away from the profits you could have been making but as well, limits the level of risk you would be exposed to.
When the risk out weighs the possibility of always getting it right, hodling becomes a more plausible option.

Bedsides, it’s not always the best idea to leave your funds on exchanges as this is often the case in order to have those leverage on trading.
915  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: September 14, 2023, 05:51:16 PM
And I think those of us that are actively playing crash already would have an upper hand here in the tournament, if it’s true tho.
Your encouraging him to join and yet discouraging him with the obvious truth even before it starts, lol… there’s always a first time though and so, the user’s journey with the crash games can start even now to gather some experience at it.

Each time I have to visit the site and see the displays on winnings and bonus offers in my local currency always gives me chills to feel almost at home and in Union with the site of not having to make some conversions whatsoever to know the relative value of what am putting in. It’s an interesting strategy.

If anyone knows a solution or even know any post of something similar let me know shits crazy and BC.Games or Hash.games is the biggest rip off casino honestly needs to be shut down and sued because im sure they have done this to so many other people.

BTW once i won on that trading they actually closed it down and said it was under maintance but also that all the money is good and safe not to worry. Then they removed trading all together.

I dont know how to post pictures or videos to show more of this.
The process to having your issues resolved isn’t far from the process you’ve started. BC.Games have a forum representative here to aid you through it and get things easier with support. I would ask that you don’t become too hasty and take things with ease as, they surely would be looking for means to resolve your issue without going against there terms.
916  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another day to take caution of sim swap attack on: September 13, 2023, 11:46:29 PM
Sim swap attack through T-Mobile is not new. I am disappointed that these kind of people with numerous followers do not protect their social media account. Twitter, now called X has 2FA and Security key hardware which Twitter users can use to protect their account.

Why would people go for text message only which is also by default. Sim authentication is not safe. Use app 2FA or hardware security key for a better security.
It’s that disappointing for real with these guys and this one with Vitalik Buterin even given the fact that, his a programmer and understands the risk that surrounds the cryptospace, what influence he commands and who a single flaw from him could cause a worldwide significant damage like we hear people cry of recent.

Layers of security is needed when you wheel that sort of power over a large mass which most are unknown to you.
Even having these 2FA delivers to you by mail is very difficult. I once did have an authenticator app to provide me with these codes. It worked like tokens, and wiped every 30 seconds or so. That would serve some real purpose but, you’ll be sure to ensure it’s used in a safe device and you properly store your importing code/seed.

I can't even express how exited I am, even if this is just the first phase, I believe the amount of knowledge I have accumulated about bitcoin through this forum will strengthened my emotion not to panic when the market goes bearish.

Thanks guy for your support, advice and wonderful opinion.
Are you overly this excited or you’re just over exaggerating facts!

Well, I can say it’s a start for many good things yo come in your life and investment choices if only you could keep up with the plans you’ve got at this genesis stage of your taking up bitcoin investment. Better still, your in a forum with so many pro bitcoins and it happens to be the one place where you can get legit and unfiltered information as well as, get the courage to keep up with your plans on hodling by having your emotions strengthened.

It’s also an interesting thing to note that, the advices given to you weren’t just passive and you’re beginning to manifest it by virtue of this investment. Stick to bitcoin and don’t deviate from the plan, you would be appreciative of how far you’ve come I due time and then, you would be really excited of this step and it wouldn’t be exaggerated then.
918  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for ways to improve my knowledge on cryptocurrency on: September 13, 2023, 11:28:35 PM
What are possible ways to earn from the platform and whats involved  not forgetting how I can make progress in my journey in the crypto world .
Help is needed
To keep it real with you, you don’t get to earn on nothing. The days of airdrops and giveaways in freebies are over. Looking out for those might get you scammed of the little you never thought to matter. Guess what, it matters to a lot of other persons, even those that has more than you already have.

Get real and realize that the cryptospace is as real as it gets. Same way you can earn in the real world is what is obtainable here. You only get to earn if you’ve got some service to offer, you get to complete a task or job for some firm, you have a well enough capital to invest and hodl bitcoin or your really good at trading.

I was a bit hesitant on bringing up trading because, you not knowing much on cryptocurrency or bitcoin makes you a newbie with all it entails and trading is one of the most risky aspect to the innovation. It’s a keep off for now but, you could study it and practice on a demo account.

I would rather advice you that you do your bit in building interest in the bitcoin and cryptocurrencies at large, making sure to get concrete knowledge of the aspects to it your met with daily and you would build your vocabulary about it.
919  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and get rich quick syndrome on: September 13, 2023, 11:18:09 PM
Unlike fiat which the amount in your bank account remains what it is, bitcoin in your wallet will constantly fluctuate, meaning that there is chances that you can gain or lose your bitcoin.

OP wasn't referring to losing one's Bitcoin to  hackers or anything of that nature. Rather, what they were asking was if there was any situation that would make one's Bitcoin hedl to decrease in its unit. Let's say 0.005 BTC reduces to 0.004 and continues that way until it gets to zero or that it increases beyond 0.005 BTC.
I sort of understood it differently going by the snippet you have in that quote. My understanding left me with the impression that, it’s a quantification based on what value your wallet holds through the various market seasons or price fluctuations.
Although, OP have stated it as described, which is not even close to anything possible. That your coins would decrease in units without you having to make some withdrawal or send some out, that doesn’t happen with bitcoin or any other coin in a wallet out there.

Fiat too follow similar pattern in the sense that, what truly decreases is the value. What that same money could buy in different time frames varies. While inflation might rock fiat, volatility still rocks bitcoin. You don’t lose in unit but, you can either profit or lose in value.

BTC5 will always remain BTC5 in unit no matter the time in years or market condition but it’s value will or could vary.
