901  Other / Beginners & Help / Only Sell what you don't need. on: November 29, 2023, 01:16:23 PM
Have seen many posts in the forum posters sharing their excitement about how they sold their property's to buy bitcoin and that's what called for this thread. Some claim to have sold land/landed properties, cars and other equipments. Yeah' no body has a right to dictate for you on how or what to do with your property , it is yours anyways.

However, you need to apply wisdom when taking such steps of selling a property to invest in bitcoin, make sure the property you are selling off you don't need it (a property you can afford to lose) because there is a risk in bitcoin investment the embedded risk of volatility shouldn't be neglected.

Lastly, whatever property you have decided you must sell off,  you could always sell divide the money, use part of the money realized to invest in bitcoin stead of using all of it, and then using the other amount remaining to buy another of that property elsewhere for a lower rate.

Now this is what I mean: assuming you sold your piece of landform $20k, you use $10-13k to invest in bitcoin and the remaining $7k to buy another land somewhere at a cheap rate. Surely, with years the value of that land will always appreciate so you still have a land (only that it's at a different location) while you invest in bitcoin stead of using (risking) all the money at ones.

Just my two cents.
902  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] SINBAD.IO [Mix Your BTC Quickly] Signature Campaign | Up-to $225/w on: November 29, 2023, 11:40:04 AM
Sinbad.io Mixer is advertising on the forum for over a year and spending a lot of money. Having over $4,500 weekly budget and continuing it for so many weeks only proves that they are serious about the business and value the community. Many failed to understand it unfortunately. It was really surprising to see some of the odd reactions but we appreciate everything. Sinbad have the gut to accept any kind of criticism. After all constructive criticism can make a brand better and stronger. Sinbad observes everything and they take things positively. I am confident that we have many more good weeks to come and Sinbad brand have everything to embrace the strong position they built throughout all these past months (54+ weeks and continuing). Let's appreciate everything we enjoy and support the brand to make the business bigger and better.

Fingers crossed and Cheers,
It truly feels good knowing that everyone is calm now as Sinbad has once again proven to be a leader in the business. Being my first official signature campaign, I had no doubt in the company and I was willing to wait as long as it takes to get everything back to the status quo.

I will once again thank the team at Sinbad and @Royse777 for handling the situation professionally. I look forward to better days ahead for Sinbad and all of us involved in this business.
Although I am not a participant of the Sinbad campaign but putting myself in the participants shoe I can only imagine your fears this few days. So I give kudos to all  the participants, CM, and Sinbad in handling the situation with a touch of maturity and relative understanding. All the best to the Sinbad brand!
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 28, 2023, 04:33:45 PM
Yeah actually AC Milan qualifying from there group is totally dependent to there performance on there today's match against Borussia Dortmund because there points is actually closed so if they win Borussia Dortmund they will automatically become the first on there group and also qualify for another round.
Today's match is not decisive for every team in Group F because AC Milan is able to win at home against Borussia Dortmund. This will make the competition even fiercer because the results of a match like that will change each of their positions in the standings table so that the determination will occur in the last match to see who will qualify for the next round. Because Newcastle will also try harder today to win at PSG's home ground.

Quote
But actually for AC Milan to win Borussia Dortmund is not that possible because Borussia Dortmund is far better than AC Milan in times of performance and quality players and besides is not only AC Milan that needs the wining because Borussia Dortmund also need it because if Borussia Dortmund lose the match and Newcastle United wins PSG that means AC Milan and Newcastle United will become the first and second position on there group table.
These two matches will be very interesting today because all teams really want to win in this match so all teams will do their best to win and get a point advantage so they can ensure they qualify for the next round in the last match. And I think every team is so aware of this now that they won't make any mistakes that could benefit their opponents.
The last time AC Milan and Brussia Dortmund played it was a boring match and am not expecting anything spectacular from that game tonight It's either going to end draw or a win for Dortmund,  the biggest game tonight is between Newcastle vs PSG. At the moment their group is still open but tonight's results will determine the team's that will be qualifying in that group which am convinced Newcastle will also qualify.

A lot of expectations from fans for a retaliation from PSG against Newcastle having lost their previous game in a shameful of 4:1 away, and now playing at home PSG is with all the advantage and am sure they wouldn't repeat the same mistake at home, PSG will win but not with a humiliating margin
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: November 28, 2023, 01:45:14 PM
If you do, your situation may be similar to mine. so beware of gambling
We are aware of gambling it's you that wasn't aware by abusing it and any abuse of gambling normally met with a drastic regrettable end. Sorry to say this but is good you had to learn the hard way for if you were advised against you wouldn't have taken the advise seriously.

It was all greed plus lack of self control to gambling that made you take loan not only once but twice just to finance your gambling desire. People are frequently advised in the forum not to take loan to invest as a result of the risk involved how much more gambling that's damn based on luck. There are actions in this life that should never be done, and this is one of many.
905  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BETWINNER Stealing my money, totally SCAMMERS on: November 28, 2023, 08:36:07 AM
Op you know you could have averted this situation from happening to you if you had chose to gambling in a popularly well known reputable casino. There are many casinos that are lined up in the forum like Freebitco.in  for your gambling pleasure and with provably fair games never denying legible winners of withdrawing their winning in this way you have explained above in thread..

Now you made use of a casino am just getting to know for the first time which also is not in the forum (from what I know now) and there's nothing forum members can do to help because the betwinner don't have a rep or an ANN thread here. So we just accept you have given us a caveat to stay off from this betwinner in the future and we appreciate you warning for it's actually a stitch in time.

When next mate, please make do of casinos on the forum so such matters can be handle by forum members.

The idea isn't a bad one though, with it participated members can have money in bulk to use and solve big projects in their plan. However, I won't fail to advise that any one intending to join should make sure to check and balance himself if he can strictly meet up, don't join a thing because you see other people you know  joining or doing it

If you must be a part do it with a good intention, sincerity and more importantly truthfulness. Na money play be this.

Another thing I wan chipping in but I gat talk in pidgin for only us to comparison am. Op talk about participating in a well known reputable campaign as criteria to join. All things been equal we know say the future outcome of things for this forum concerning campaign nobody know. So assuming as a criteria

, if to say this akawo don start before this Sinbad matta wey them never pay for like two weeks now(and still counting waiting for further notice so that supposed participants wey dey part of the akawo fit remit their own contributions, so assuming say such thing happen for future to people wey dey the akawo ifor their campaign, wetin be the way forward??

908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler's family action. on: November 27, 2023, 07:01:38 PM

Just two questions here:
1. Dis the family of this young man went too extreme in trying to help stop their brother from gambling addiction or not?

2. Assuming you are this young man and you had to run to a distant location to carry out your gambling as you are allowed to gambling within your neighborhood and luckily you won huge sum of million dollars. Would you share that money with your loved ones who were barring you from gambling or you will just stay off from them and live new found wealthy live alone?

Share your thoughts!

I think that both questions contradict each other. First, the family of that person did not want him to gamble and they tried to stop him from gambling in every way possible. The person has to go to another town in order to fulfil his desire for gambling. The family shows extreme behaviour to him but they should not expect him to help the family if he wins something considerable.
Mate you think wrong there is nothing contradictory about the two questions. For a compulsive gambler the action was necessary though it appears to be extreme if he was gambling responsibly the family wouldn't have had issues with his gambling life.

Quote
Why would he be willing to help the family, when the family was acting like a complete enemy to him. They did not not co-operate with him in times when he needed some support from him. Now that he has gone rich with gambling, it will shame if the same family comes to him and ask for his financial help.
How do you cooperate with a compulsive gambler? Who in an addictive situation should be expected to be cooperative; is it the addict or those giving the help?

Quote
I do not know if the relationship between the young man and the family is so strong that he forgets all the past behavior and comes back to the family and helps them.
I always say that family is everything you don't have to hold grudges towards family for long, in this case all that was done was intended to salvage him from falling off and if eventually he got lucky under his addiction to win a big sum of money, incorporating his family in that money is somehow a benefit to him as the family will guide him on how make good use of the money not to squander it all on gambling in the believe of winning more.

Quote
What if he started to lose in gambling, will the family still support him:Smiley
Support was what the family from the onset were giving before he won the money, so there won't have been a difference he won or lose.

910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 27, 2023, 10:33:02 AM
Tottenham continues to suffer bitter defeats and this time they lost at home with a narrow score of 2-1, even though Celso managed to score a quick goal in the 22nd minute.
Tottenham Hotspur missed 9 points in last 3 games otherwise they would be first in the ranking with a safe points difference from the second team. Aston Villa did a good job turning the table upside down on Spurs head and picking a victory.
If Tottenham will continue like that then they will find themselves overtaken by Manchester United or Newcastle in the next round since these two teams will face each other and Spurs will have to face Manchester City!
Tottenham seemed to have lost the spirit of their game like before. Losing 9 points in a row is certainly quite distressing. Spurs are also threatened with dropping points again in the next match against Manchester City. The Spurs manager certainly has to rack his brains to restore the confidence of his players so they can return to a winning trend. But I think it will be very difficult for Spurs to recover until next week's meeting.
Tottenham have suffered 3 defeats in a row and this is a bad result, I didn't expect Tottenham to lose again at home and I didn't see Son Heung Min has score goals for his club recently, it seems like Ange Postecoglou has not been able to restore the players confidence to what it was before. If it continues like this, Tottenham Hotspurs will fall even further from the top 3 and increase the difference in points from the title contenders in the Premier League.

I thinks Tottenham will suffer another defeat when they visit Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspurs are currently no longer favorites in the title race because they are already quite a lot of point behind and in the next match Manchester City will try to winning the match to reclaim first position which is currently occupied by Arsenal.
It is shameful for a club whose name has been chanted for appraisal, having 3 straight losses is bad for Tottenham right now, they even lost against the clubs they should have beaten which is the worst part. They would have been well above Liverpool if they won against Aston Villa as Liverpool drew Man City which would have been an advantage for them. This would have further favoured them again with their match against Man City. But now, I wonder how the club that couldn't beat Aston Villa despite having the home advantage would be able to beat a better club like Man City. By the 1 point against Liverpool, I believe Man City would want to be more serious against Tottenham and I don't know how Tottenham will be able to deal with that without conceding goals to them.
When did a stone villa become this good? I was asking myself this question after they trash Tottenham in their very home because I never expected Tottenham would lose that match after scoring first, in their worst I would have said it's going to end draw but am wrong.

Having lost three games in a row It's foreseeable that it's going to a fourth loss as their next game is against Manchester City a serial winner team under the management of Pep Gardiola. Doku and Haaland are really going to have a fun filled day when that time comes except luck is on Spurs side and things upturn by way of a miracle.

So, let's say this is a skilled based game since the game may involve fighting skills from players, and one with the best wins, I have not played this game though, I haven't even had the time to check the UI/UX out, all ive said is based on pictures of the game arena I've seen online, I will make out time to try the game later on.

Its not a skill based game, its literally still luck based game. Imagine a coin flip between two players, this is the game but with lot more suspense in form of combat between two avatars. Give it a go if you havent, you can watch another duel if you dont feel like playing with your own money but yeah its just pretty simple actually and if you are not risking any money at all then you probably wont feel the suspense
This really interesting to see a combat kind of gaming that's not based on player skill but luck based. Which means it doesn't give one player any advantage over another based on how skillfully better one player against his opponent might be.

It's an equal playing field with luck which means I don't have to worry that the next player is more skillful than I am therefore I don't stand a chance of winning him/her. I really need to check out this game for myself now, the suspense is killing me.

912  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: This idea go reduce our daily expenses. on: November 27, 2023, 08:51:19 AM
I am tying the knot with what you have said, the purchase of the motorcycle doesn't mean you are going to save from much spending, before we buy anything machine we should take into consideration the cost of maintainance and the necessity of it. How often do you go out? How long is the distance you cover going to work each day?

There are unnecessary movements we make that can be terminated and it will save us money that we would have spend on transportation only. Someone jokingly said, " for this Port Harcourt just the decision to step outside alone nah 5k", it sounds funny but it's a fact. If we can cut some outings, visits, and journeys we frequently make particularly the ones that can be avoided it will save us cost in transport alone. The Nigeria of yesterday is not the one of today.

The type of machines that you buy depend on the performance of the machine. The way corolla vehicle will consume fuel will be different from how Benz  consume fuel. There are really good machines out there that can be use comfortably despite the hardship of the economy, you will live a normal life like nothing never happened in the first place.
There is no type of mobile vehicle you will want to have now that you will not feel the gloomy effect of the cost of buying fuel and there's no way you will be living in the country right now that you can be living a normal life because right now even the rich are lamenting. Well, if you can afford no problem, get the one of your choice and stay calm. (Make we no hear you they complain later)

Now a lot of car owners prefer using public transportation to their private vehicle as it's much cost effective. If you want to live in absolute comfort it comes with a higher cost.

Quote
Trying to cut down expenses doesn't mean we have to kill ourselves, doesn't mean I have to die from suffering because from the things you guys are discussing, it look more like suffocating basic life to extreme and uncomfortable life. How do one have to live a life when it's so uncomfortable to even move around just because we are trying to cut the cost of living, no that's not how it was supposed to be, the government just have to come to aid to support the citizens.
No one says you have to die or suffer yourself just for you to live a penny-wise life , the argument is about living a budgeted lifestyle. You don't get suffocated by living penny wise it's rather an opulence living standard that suffocates. Don't spend stupendously.

In fact, it's a matter of necessity that everyone now all over the globe cut their cost of living to be able to survive comfortably in this recession period. The government won't do everything for you, they don't have to spoon-fed you too as a support system.
913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: November 26, 2023, 06:26:19 PM
If you want to diversify your investment when you have already invested in Bîtcoin, buying altcoin is not a good step in diversification because if there is a failure in Bitcoin there will also be a failure in altcoin. You can diversify your investment in something different from cryptocurrency such as real estate investment or selling a variety of merchandise, so that if one market fails, success in others will reduce the impact of failure.
What is the need of diversification when we already have our investment on Bitcoin because most successful investors prefer to have only one source which is Bitcoin because there believe in Bitcoin can never be compared to any other investment so they decided to stick to only Bitcoin which is a very wise decision.
I don't know why this issue of diversification is still coming up here when the thread is about buying Bitcoin to hodl. I think this discussion of diversification has repeated several times and is looking more like distraction. When we continue to compare different investment options in a thread the focus is supposed to be how to buy Bitcoin, many people might derail into making wrong investment decision in a bid to diversify his assets.

The forum is really big, so much that we can open a thread to discuss other investment instruments for the sake of those who might consider complimentary investment as a way of diversifying their Bitcoin portfolio.

mate there is no point creating a distinct thread instrumental to diversification discussion, I think this thread also envelopes discussions that revolves within the idea of buying the dip and hodl. And diversification is not out of point.

If as an investor how do you intend getting funds to fund your plans of buying the dip if you don't have a good diversified source of cash flow. You don't buy the dip with empty hands and that's what makes me believe that the discussion of diversification side-by-side the dip is something that can't be overemphasized if buying the dip is with the plan to hodl for long term.
You've got to have a sustainance to make the long term plan possible.
914  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: imagine say Bitcoin crash what nest? on: November 26, 2023, 05:53:08 PM
There are few things that can cause the price of Bitcoin to dump prior to the halving. We just escaped one of them which is the issue of CZ, the CEO of Binance; I was thinking it will lead to a major dump in price since Binance is a leading exchange. Fortunately, the market did not care about that and continued to rise after a minor reaction.
I did entertained this fear too although I didn't welcome it to occupy a place in my mind reason been that bitcoin is not tied to binance, binance is just an exchange like every other centralized exchanges that have existed before it despite it position as a leading centralized crypto exchanger.

The cryptocurrencies that would have been affected to dump significantly had binance fallen would have been cryptocurrencies that are tied to the binance. Mind you, binance isn't the only existing CEX, another would have taken advantage and cover the leading position even much better. Binance is not irreplaceable.

Quote
Another thing that can lead to massive dump in price is the ETF application that is expected to be approved or rejected early next year. If the approval happens, then Bitcoin will rise rapidly. On the contrary, if the application is rejected, I expect the market to dump significantly.
There's a soaring level of expectations about the price of bitcoin as a result of the pending ETF approval and this expectations as to how high the price of bitcoin might shoot up to has attract many new investors with old investors stacking more than ever. But am not worried about the bitcoin spot ETF not being approved cause definitely all indications has shown that it will be approved. What I am worried about is what if the whole ETF stuff is just a hype, it get approved at the end of the waiting and bitcoin price didn't do well as people had expected that the ETF approval would make it do. (Am just trying to balance some probability questions).
915  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing BC.Game Support Team: Building Trust and Transparency on: November 26, 2023, 01:38:08 PM
I don't really think there's an issue with BC. game wanting to take a more active role in this community and address some of the problems that have piled up.  It's definitely better than just ignoring all the complaints and allegations thrown their way.
I don't think it's about an issue or not that's raising concern about this thread from BC.Game, what I understand from their comments as a concern is that what situations can this thread practically solve that the main BC.Game account we all know in the forum couldn't.

There's nothing like reputation in any business, and when a company loses it maybe by an act of incompetence or mistake it is very hard for anything coming from them to make a convincing meaning other than radical actions that the community should be seeing. At this stage I think if we all want to be sincere about all the saga and imbroglios surrounding this matter what the community really want to see and hear is that users have started confirming the resolution of their matters.
916  Economy / Economics / Re: strange indicators to know economy is bad on: November 26, 2023, 12:13:59 PM
OP, where did you get this list of strange indexes? Would you mind sharing with us a link to the source of information?
The people can cut their spending and consumption in times of high inflation, not just when the recession hits the economy.
When everything becomes more expensive, the demand for luxurious goods and services goes down. I'm sure that we can survive during a tough economy with less expenses for haircuts, underwear, not visiting cinemas or buying stuff we usually don't need.
It easier said than living it. You when a person is used to a particular lifestyle of glamour and luxury it's really difficult to cut all of those lifestyle off within a short moment, even if you want to, you wouldn't do away with all of it all, the their absence in your life will make life look boring and sad for you.

For instance, someone that's like a custom all her life going to the cinema to see movies, going on vacations at least twice in a year, and so on. If you have cut all of these from the lives of the person, am sure it's going to affect their lifespan as their countenance will never be again as it were when they where still having those lifestyle in place.

But, the best thing to do in times like this where the recession is bitting hard each day is to cut off certain living patterning that are expensive to keep up with, it might be hard to cope with but it's what the times demands even if it's easier said than living it.

Quote
The most brutal index is the "morgue" index. Funerals are also getting so damn expensive nowadays and it's a shame that many poor people can't afford a decent funeral for their dead relatives.
Let the dead bury their dead, this doesn't mean they have to be given expensive funeral ceremony. We can do it in a low-key and interment will be done without having to spend so much. I think it people that gives so much priority to this burial of a thing that goes on making it a big occasion which then attraction so much expenses.
917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Country To Live In For Crypto Casinos?# on: November 26, 2023, 09:35:57 AM
Doesn't every platform have almost the same rules for KYC despite being in any country? Or are we talking about the documents that you need to provide to pass the KYC verification?
There could be a nuance in the rules operating on different soils and the documents too despite being dame casino since they are centralized they would have to operate based on MOU with the government of that jurisdiction on what should be requested of a user.

Quote
If so, I don't think I can answer that. As far as I know, if the documents are correct and legit, you will not face any kind of issue to verify it. But sounds like those crypto casinos seem to favour some specific country's document.
yeah with legit docs account verification should go smoothly, and it's good as a gambler irrespective of the country you make sure to complete account verification before deposit, due to how a bit difficult it later becomes when you have already deposited funds, won a bet, and want to make withdrawal, at this stage verification can be a bit complicated.

Quote
Also, anonymity is not the thing you should be looking for when you are dealing with centralized platforms. Those documents are required to know their customers and to prevent scams and illegal activities. Your focus should be on finding reputable platforms that are easy to verify. Not what county it is.
Nowadays, almost all the casinos are centralized though they may claim not to request for kyc when you're just created an account with them but when it gets to a certain stage of withdrawal you will then be requested to pass KYC before making withdrawal and this they do all in the name of security and avoidance of scam activities.
918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot games are a waste of time and money (most of the time) on: November 25, 2023, 05:53:34 AM
Literally waste of time and money yet I'm still playing this shitty games for a chance to win big multiplier. The optimism on winning huge multiplier is they selling point of this game that's why many players keep playing this despite a terrible result in general.

I can count using my finger my huge win on this game while I lose a lot on this game so in general this game is disaster for me just like you. I still preferred blackjack and sports bet compared to slot games if we are talking about the main game to play. I remember spending 4hrs of auto spin on slot game and end up in more than 50% loss to my bankroll plus migraine due to the animation.  Cheesy
If there are people we should be using as examples of people with practical faith and optimism it should be gamblers Grin . How else do you describe people that are fervently losing their money in an activity but are still hopeful coming back the next day to boldly lose more believing a miracle can just somehow happen to them with a big win.

Some of us gamblers have gotten used to the losing streaks that we have purge our minds off from worry about the losses and just enjoy the game while we hope to win something life changing in amount as we continue to gamble. Slots games are the worse in this category, you can't be skilled at it, you just keep spinning relying on luck, unlike sport games where your skills can be useful in addition to how much lucky you could be.
919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can old generation cause the habit of gambling in young generation ? on: November 25, 2023, 05:16:40 AM
Moreover, you also have to give direction and advice to all the younger generations in your family that every activity that has been carried out by these older people should not be imitated, let alone just tried for fun.
You must be able to provide good education so that they avoid any activities related to gambling or betting games.
Is it that possible that you will allow children constantly see you do a thing and you think they won't imitate you in doing so too behind you just because you had spoken to them not to do it. It's should be that you don't do it right in front of them at all because it's a mirage to assume they will adhere to your caution.

Children learn about 90% of all they start with in life from the older people that are always close to, what they see them do, talk, or listen to all the time. Children look up to us and in their innocent mindset they are consumed with the believe that we the older generation to them knows the best and whatever we're doing is the best which makes them follow our footsteps.

Anything you don't want your kids to engage in never do it in their presence, gambling games is a fun and entertaining activity and you think children wouldn't want to have fun too with it after they have been seeing daddy , uncle and older cousin's that are like their first role model meshing themselves in it Huh
920  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: November 25, 2023, 04:31:11 AM
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.
The difference is in their financial status which is what determines the bankroll of the rich and the poor. With a big amount of bankroll the rich are at every minutes ready to take risk's that the poor won't agree to venture due to his small amount of bankroll.

The poor gambler for him to have a bug potential amount of winning he has to accumulate his bet with many games to increase the odds using small amount of money to bet. While the rich don't have to take that much risk, they minimize the risk of their bet by accumulating less games (smaller odds) and increasing the amount of money they are to bet with reflecting an increase in their potential win which also lessens the risk involved.

More so, in having large amount of bankroll you can play as many times as you wish which increases your tendency to win whereas the poor Don have they much bankroll to keep them gambling that much as their bankroll does finishes far behind that of the rich.

Another thing, the rich has the money to buy fixed games, odds joining a VIP gambling group/club but the poor doesn't have such privileges this makes his chances of winning outside luck very limited.
