Time to address what no less than three users have expressed as an option, namely the ability to mine/hash yAltcoin yaltz of channels by renown YouTubers who've yet to embrace our platform, thus not officially recognized as Lynspinz (sentiment paraphrased for clarity purposes).

Their main concern is that upon initial release of our platform, there won't be aplenty quality YouTube channels to point their PAQs toward for mining/hashing deemed profitable yAltcoin (yALT) yaltz. Solution: Create a max of 1,000 premium channel yAltcoins tradeable on our bespoke exchange - YTC-Sox - ALL of which will be suggested and voted in by consensus by PAQ owners, e.g. (with corresponding ticker symbol aka TicSym): VanossGaming (VG); The Fine Brothers (FBE); Smosh (SMOSH); Vsauce (Vsauce) - a formidable list with enhanced TicSyms viewable HERE.

Once a YouTuber claims their channel's yALT, another one WON'T replace it on the finite quasi-artificially created list.

In implementing the above option, the metrics for yAltcoin yaltz remains the same as depicted HERE, albeit there will be some changes in yaltz distribution until the YouTuber whose channel's yAltcoin are mined/hashed opts to be officially recognized as a Lynspinz, whereupon distribution semi-reverts back to the [modified] schedule.

All adjustments outlined as follows:

  • Since the YouTube channels voted in will most likely be of high status, the 6 yaltz (up to 6 would not apply) per block will be held in escrow until claimed by corresponding YouTubers once formally recognized as a Lynspinz
  • Since there won't be any affiliates instrumental in onboarding voted-in YouTube channels, the yaltz per block earmarked for affiliates will also be held in escrow as outlined above
  • Half of the Development Pool will also be set aside, distributed to YouTubers as a bonus once a Lynspinz
  • Faucets (yaltzets) doling out free yaltz won't be turned on until corresponding channels are officially sanctioned by YouTubers formally recognized as Lynspinz (100,000 yaltz; 10 yaltz per first 10K blocks)

In the advent that a YouTube channel is deleted for whatever reason, each yAltcoin has a mined/hashed reserve saved specifically for such occurrence to be tapped in a fair and systematic process, replacing the then now worthless yaltz with those having no less than equal value, making one's holdings whole again.

That just about covers it. Hope it meets your approval. If so, there's 10 free PAQs for each U$500 purchase of YTC, else it's 1 free PAQ per U$100 purchase under U$500. If you desire 2 free PAQs per U$100 purchase, simply wait for the price per YTC to inevitably reach U$0.10 each, currently available at U$0.0025 each (40 times cheaper).

Time for Poppy, suggested TicSym = POPPY.

I appreciate the try for a better forum with less spam, I believe the BitcoinTalk team acted on our best interest, however I don't believe this is a good system.

Most people tend to be vocal about things they don't like (they will hit the ignore button, report others, demerit if it was possible) but they ain't that active when it comes to possitive actions and encouragement. It's sad but it's true for most.

Personally I don't have so much free time to spam sweet-talk and beg for merit, I'll just continue participate and see how this goes but I'll most likely be stuck in Jr. Member.

A fair example why this is not gonna work with fairness,
Fuck merit. Make mine -100. This is about the dumbest shit in order to rank up as paying to do so. Just a opinion. Like ASSHOLES, everyone has 1.
This guy has 11 merit and I don't have any?  Grin

Purchase YTC while they're still available at U$0.0025 each with the next price point at U$0.10 each.

Initial listing on the exchanges will be in the U$0.50 range, gravitating to the U$0.80-U$1.00 range since YTC will be worth no less than U$1.00 for purchases on our platforms regardless if trading lower on the exchanges.

hi bruno, i hope you feel in perfect form.
I want some informations about the PAQs

1- for buy the PAQ i have to send ETHER or BITCOIN to the contract address and after fill the TxHID of transaction in the PAQs purchase formular whith the others informations, am i right?
2- after buy the PAQ what will happened by then? must i wait for beta release of the site to see my paq?
3- How many paqs have been already sold?
4- This PAQ is for life time or for only one years?
5- After that all these PAQs have been sold, there will have a market for the PAQS trade that will allow us to sell them to others people who want to buy like YTC?

I hope that i have make me understand

1. The BTC and ETH wallet addresses are provided on this page - http://yutubopolis.center/ico/paqs/ - of which you'll fill out the form fields after you make the purchase.
2. Use of PAQs will be available upon Beta launch.
3. Just a tad over 10K PAQs have been sold or allocated during a previous campaign (all documented), with only a few over the 10K mark allocated as bonuses to purchasers during this ICO.
4. You'll own PAQs for lifetime, not just for a year.
5. You won't have to wait for all the PAQs to be sold so to sell them on the aftermarket whether for YTC or other cryptos et al. Such can be done at any time.

To reiterate one aspect of PAQs, akin to virtual crypto miners where its owners have the ability to point toward which cryptos they desire to mine in pools based on profitability, an owner of a PAQ will be able to point toward which YouTube yAltcoin they desire to mine its yaltz, most likely the most profitable one available, bearing in mind that only 100 PAQs max are able to mine any particular yAltcoin at a time.

Hope that addresses your questions and concerns, bud.

Bruno

We must've addressed all of HUJIK's concerns to his satisfaction, for he opted to make an ADDITIONAL subsequent purchase. Thank's, bud, for continual support.

Liquidity is a straightforward process (again, at no cost) via myriad viable cryptocurrencies available 24/7 with zero minimum cashout or hold-time limits when making withdraws

Only YouTubers recognized as Lynspinz on our platform are allowable in becoming affiliates, earning the exact same number of PAQs as YouTubers they influenced in joining YuTü.Co.in

Unlike with Patreon, fans will own shares of their favorite YouTuber channels with no fees incurred by either party, in return, enjoying similar benefits and a whole lot more

YouTubers will be more inclined to advance their channel brands in appeasing their shareholders, in turn, increasing share prices, of which they themselves own and continue to automatically amass exactly every two minutes

Liquidity, or trading shares of one channel's stock for another will be a straightforward process on handhelds et al.

what relevance the activities have for ranking.

Activity is not just the number of posts. You also need to post at least once in each 2-week activity period.

So theoretically, a Newbie will remain Newbie status even though they may have penned 10K post, earned 1000 Activity, but remained at O Merits, correct?

Nope, newbie can rank up to junior by having 30 activities and 0 Merit, try to read the topic again before posting.

I really dont know why this thread is still runnin'. The question and other talks are being redundant. Know how to back read guys! And as for the newbies, there are many infographic explanation about the merit system which are all well explained try to read always, dont settle for being spoon fed.

Can somebody here shed some light on some of the assumptions that went into the design of the merit \ rank combination?

In particular, looking at the activity / merit ratio per rank:

Member : 6:1 (ie, expectation is that for every 6 posts, a member is expected to "generate" 1 merit)
Full member : 1.2 : 1
Senior member / Hero member 1 : 1 (approx.)

Given this, and the fact that it seems almost impossible to get 1 merit for every 6 posts, let alone one merit on every post, what's the rational to keep an eye on both, activity and merit, as far as the ranking is concerned? Merits being the dominant factor by far, activity count seems superfluous (for the purpose of ranking at least). Removing activity requirements from ranking and using only merits might also prevent the numerous discussions about fairness ("i posted xyz amount of posts, but only received abc merits")

Ergo, xyz > abc.

Q.E.D.

This makes 0 sense, as a reply. it simply states the glaring obvious

Just face the facts.  Many of us will be stuck at our current rank for a long time, if not forever.  Stop complaining about the merit system because life isn't fair.  Otherwise, everyone would be rich.

I would think that most members should be able to rank up to member status (which is currently 10 merits as we should recognize) as long as they can draft intelligible posts.  You have already received 4 merits, so you only have 6 merits to go in order to be able to rank up to member status.   However, it does seem that the higher ranks may be a bit more challenging to achieve, and I suppose that was part of the intention behind the change in the system (in other words a feature rather than a bug), and yep, to get merit, members are going to need to attempt to create interesting and interactive posts in order to receive merit points from other members.

From newbie to member shouldn't be too hard.  Member to Full member is also do-able but might take longer than people like.  Beyond that, will take some serious ass kissing.  Maybe even require to go on a date with Theymos.

I have no problem with frank talk; however, there is something else that is underlying your word choice that is likely interfering with your thinking about this matter.... you see you called it "ass kissing," and sure, I have as many problems as the next guy regarding hierarchy and even dislike for peeps who abuse their authority, rank or position... but you don't necessarily need to consider the whole matter as ass kissing in order to be able to think more positively about the matter, which is merely an attempt to be civil to other people and to back up what you are saying, and if you are challenging things, then have facts and logic that back up your points.  Sometimes, even if some members do not like your facts and logic, other members may like what you say and decide to merit your post for any subjective reason, including that you might have caused them to think about a subject differently or that you were willing to say something that others would not say, so in the end, there are ways to get merits in this system, and furthermore, Theymos is not the ONLY one who gives out merits.

The ass kissing comment was a joke.  Ass kissing or begging won't earn anyone merits.  Theymos is the man of this forum.  He implemented the merit system and I think it is here to stay.  People just need to accept it.  It may seem unfair for the new accounts since they didn't get any grandfathered merits but life isn't fair.

Of course exaggeration, or word choice can have a variety of effects, including serving as a means to joke, but there can also be other inferences, besides joking that causes an impression (whether intended or not).

It seems that this whole merit system was meant to be implemented in a fair way and to approximate a kind of fair transition and to address some spamming and account farming issues, yet hindsight can be 20/20 too, and allow for analysis of ways that "it could have been" implemented more fairly.

Nonetheless, having said all of that, there is always going to be reluctancies in going back and redoing an implementation such as this, so most realistic remedies would be tweaking of the already implemented system, if any, and there may also be a considerable reluctance to tweak anything prior to allowing it to play out for a few months to see how smerits are deployed by status quo holders of smerits, by sources and by members who receive new smerits through from other members.
