901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving bitcoins on: March 17, 2017, 11:17:04 AM
The whole idea about bitcoins is to avoid using a bank. You shouldnt really want to take bitcoins that you own and then put them into some one elses trust. There arent any banks that do what i think your looking for but there have been companys that usually end up scamming you for your bitcoins. If you want to earn a percentage of the bitcoins you own then the current best way is just to buy and hold. You wont earn more btc this way but you more than likely will earn more fiat for every btc you own.
If you want to save some of your bitcoins, we have many options where we gonna put it or storage it. Saving bitcoin in bank is not a good idea for that bitcoiner like us to do it. Because we are the bank already of our owned bitcoin, we save our owned private key password, and we can saved it to usb, or we can make do some backup for it just in case happen we can retrieve anytime. And I do agreed it is much better to buy and hold.
902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: March 17, 2017, 10:15:58 AM
I have all my coins in on an online trading site (paxful) (low volume)

I plan on making a large investment very soon, and want to safely store all of my coins
I.E I basically want to drop a couple thousand, and keep them in the safest possible way, where I can revisit them in 5-10 years or so and reap the benefits, or cry about the loss.

What is the best way to do this, and what's the best way of ensuring a backup?

How do you currently store your coins

thanks in advance for any inputs

For what I did now for storing my bitcoins was I used electrum wallet to keep all my bitcoin savings. I also have multibit wallet for bitcoin where all my expenses was stored here, and in every exchange site that I used all of it has a balance minimum 0.01BTC then the whole of 5  trading platform which I used I applied day trading.
903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What we learned from the Bitcoin ETF denial on: March 17, 2017, 09:39:30 AM
An overview of the Bitcoin ETF and what it taught us about Bitcoin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXm5rgKpxiY
The lesson which I saw after ETF rejected by SEC was, the private sectors maybe haven't seen that they can't get any benefit or profit into bitcoin that's why Etf has been denied. But this was only my opinion, regarding the results of the etf.
904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cup of Coffee on: March 17, 2017, 09:27:41 AM
Bitcoin was always supposed to be digital cash.  It even says so in the original white paper title.

Where did this myth start that we need to 'let this go'?

No one uses cash at starbucks. It's all phones, credit cards and debit cards. Try and buy a beer on a plane. They don't take cash. So saying it's like digital cash is a little outdated at this point. We're dealing with digital gold.
LOL.  I definitely use cash at Starbucks,  but I realize I'm in the minority here.  I do agree with OP that it is better to use fiat, because I *think* bitcoin is going up.  We're not exactly in the 10,000 btc/pizza era anymore,  but we're still going up.   Why spend digital gold?

Edit: hey, you're a hero member now, congrats!
No, you are wrong! here in my country you can pay to Starbucks using cash, credit card or bitcoin as payment but maybe in your place only digital payment is accepted in the outlet but not here in my place. And moreover, we don't need gold just to use it for spending.
905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ANY STRATEGY TO WIN IN GAMBLING? on: March 16, 2017, 02:46:50 PM
There is NO strategy on gambling, you just need Luck, (bad luck for gambling site owner  Grin). Here people will say you try this strategy, this, this & this, these are all NO Doubt WRONG/ FakeGrin No one can assure you to win from gambling. Its only your luck and winning streak.

If you want to play, play at your own risk, So at the end you will have no regret.
I definitely, support this this statement of yours. It is really no best strategies when you do play gamble in the gambling sites. If ever there is a winning in gambling it is majority of it was depending on their luck.
906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: March 16, 2017, 02:21:58 PM
mistake I ever had when I was playing dice. when I did not realize I was using a 5% chance, and in conditions of max bet. one click so lost all Grin
Hahahahaha, you didn't double check what you are doing, perhaps you from your mistakes. Cheesy
just next time sir be careful if you do gamble again, because on my part I think my worst mistake in gambling was when I became addicted unto it. Cheesy
907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: March 16, 2017, 01:44:24 PM
I've lost over 10BTC in the past three months, and let me tell you. Stopping isn't as easy as you might think. I don't know why I keep doing it but I do. And the result is always the same.
Net Profit: - 5.500BTC
Sometimes I play Black Jack, sometimes I play Dice. Most of the time it's dice, and that's basically where I lose all my money. Nothing ever works. Martingale: Nope. Reverse Martingale: Nope. All in 80-90%: Nope. Spamming 97% win chance: Nope. I wish I could stop lol
It means you are strong enough in gambling life
at least you're not asking people how to stop doing that
Wow! that's a huge amount of loses of money.  You had a lot of money where you can afford to lose it, Grin
Isn't called really addicted into gambling? Well, anyway you do it because of addiction that's the bottom line of it, I guess you better do something to stop yourself in it before its too late. Smiley
908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: March 16, 2017, 01:38:47 PM
Just curious since the last discussion I had was about gambling vs trading. I know trading can seem to be a bit of a gamble as well, but I see it a little bit like poker. It's a combination of math and psychology. Maybe not the same ratio though, just generalizing  Tongue

I choose both because you must split your investment to prevent from loosing everything at time. So you must have a back up plan if the other invesment fail.
Yeah, split your investment but not the other one is for gambling. Even how many times other says that gambling can give profit that's not true in my opinion, the most often profitable was doing trade as always in the exchange site platform.
909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: March 16, 2017, 12:56:23 PM
i think because when he gamble, he's won a lot of money, it's make him want to earn money again and again. But if he doing that, maybe he'll greedy and lose all his profit before and then he deposit again for gamble. It's make someone addicted with gambling
Winning in the gambling games was very seldom to be happen in 100 round of the game you can only experience of winning less than 5 times only and the worst not a lot of money. Many loses than winning in the games,  Smiley
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most of the money on: March 16, 2017, 12:30:22 PM
Which game you played when you earned most of money?

I am really happy with many types of games like sports betting, casinos, dice etc. But for me slots game is my favorite game of all, because we can make little money here. Really i made so much profit through dice game.
Oh really, that's nice! if you played  slots game you also play baccarat game which is similar to slots game too Cheesy
But I am much more preferred to play dice games this is the one game that I can get profit anyhow every time I do gamble in the gambling site.
911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Whether anyone believe???? on: March 16, 2017, 12:20:06 PM
Whether you believe if you Continuously Buying The same number, one day you can win the lottery. there i read some stories much people can being rich by using this way.
Here in my country most of people here who always get a raffle coupon in lottery they combination number was always depend on the date birthday of their love ones it can be there husband, wife, son or daughter or their own birth date combination. And this was accustomed by many up to now maybe it is their mind-setting that it is their lucky number.
912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the future of online gambling? on: March 16, 2017, 12:06:21 PM
Bitcoin is yet to overtake the fiat as the main currency of online gambling but many seen it as the future of virtual gambling. With its greatest potential and used widely by many in the online world, the leading virtual currency can be use as the universal payment solution of the online gaming industry in the near future. The online gambling is one of most adaptive and bitcoin-friendly markets and it is highly possible that it will make bitcoin as its main currency in the future.
Indeed, actually online gambling is much more overtaking the casino in home based land casino because bitcoin can't in physical gambling compare in online almost most of the bitcoin enthusiast are after in gambling even others are really a gamblers but because of bitcoin they intent to play because of it.
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can gambling help you with your life? on: March 16, 2017, 11:50:51 AM
Gambling help me with giving feels fun and happy and sometime i get profit from it (if i am lucky) actually gambling doesn't give me much profit because i just played gambling with low betting. But gambling has given nice entertainment for me.
It so nice that gambling is giving you something of happiness every time you played in their sites. Were both in the same page pal! That's the usual things I did when I do gambled it gave me amusement personally.
914  Economy / Economics / Re: Prediction for 2017 - share your views on: March 16, 2017, 11:11:56 AM
While creating this topic, bitcoin is standing at 618 USD. So I want to know your prediction for the year of 2017. What is the milestone you have targeted?

Will it be able to hold its strength at 750 USD by the end of 2017? Voice your opinions.
Today was 2017 and the value of bitcoin was 1245$, It means 750$ won't gonna happen at all maybe on your dreams Cheesy
Bitcoin in the present was a good development in terms of the price increase though there is a bit volatility happen but still goes up the value , the demand was high for now and its getting more increase.
915  Economy / Economics / Re: What would be the price of Bitcoin if someone would invest 10 billion USD ? on: March 16, 2017, 10:57:01 AM
What would be the price of Bitcoin if someone would invest 10 billion USD in one day?
It would be interesting to know what price would be.
How i can calculate?
Let me ask you something dude? why are you asking this things? It sounds that there is someone who is planning to pump bitcoin Smiley
10 billions was a big amount and honestly I don't have any idea how much will price of bitcoin become maybe close to 1700$-1800$ something. And if ever it happen expect too that there will gonna have a bit decrease also but it can recover again.
916  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: March 16, 2017, 10:39:18 AM
In one of the topics I read "If bitcoin will reach $10.000, fiat currency has become worthless"
Do you agree with this statement?

I don't think fiat will become worthless even bitcoin reach 10,000$, it doesn't mean fiat all a sudden will collapse no its not going to be happen. It maybe ignore most of the time but still being used in other form of currency like Euro and etc. and I think fiat will always be connected into bitcoin.
917  Economy / Economics / Re: What It Means For Banks When Bitcoin Is Worth More Than Gold? on: March 16, 2017, 09:59:50 AM
We clearly see that someone do not want to see Bitcoin cost more than gold price, when Bitcoin hits 1200$ instantly someone is starting to sell Bitcoin very cheap to control the price.
What it would mean for Banks when Bitcoin will cost more than a gold?
Bank in the whole world are not get easily worry about what is happening into bitcoin. I think they don't care about it, because it won't affect them at all anyhow. Maybe if some of their clients/customers will get shift to use into bitcoin and find/discover the feature usage of it, I think in that case bank has now has a reason to get panic and worry about it. Grin
918  Economy / Economics / Re: Are central banks losing control? on: March 16, 2017, 09:50:27 AM
Cryptocurrencies are vastly superior to typical fiat currencies, but they are nowhere near as convenient at the moment. It will take a long time until a bitcoin world appears. For example, if you wanted to pay for a beverage like a Coke with Bitcoin, as of now it would be take around 30 minutes for the transaction to be confirmed, not to mention having to input the restaurant's address. It is just much quicker to hand over a note and get your Coke instantly.
But nowadays it will become  difficult to adopt by the masses of that kind of payment. if that's the case the people would get frustrate and disappoint of usage in bitcoin just for a coke only they need to wait 30 mins. for confirmation, that's totally holy cow Grin So I think it will take more years before it become convenient for the bitcoin users. In my point of view then bank is also losing control in some other way too.
919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: March 16, 2017, 09:26:58 AM
51% By Official been in Master and in the Lead by Company derived from China. China can lead because geolocations of encouragement. China has a region size and high plains has some cool weather mouth (Cold).

Cold distinguished location. Suitable for cost saving cooling fan server computer engineering from danger overheated. So the price can compete. In add to labor, employee or labor in china famous-cost offers. So many people Across the World Miners buying services from China.

So it is possible that China controls Bitcoin.
Is only possible that China controls bitcoin. China does control bitcoin. An example, despite the fact China close for New Year holiday, China was the first country where the price of bitcoin first reach $1000 per bitcoin before the year end, so they're creating some kind of rally to look verywell.
I don't think controlling the price is what OP means, he means that they control the Bitcoin network because they own the majority of the hashpower. But I do agree that the Chinese are probably number one reason for the price rally we just had.
It's not because China owned the biggest percentage of bitcoin and biggest average of mining farm of bitcoin they have the ability to control the network of bitcoin, I beg to disagree on that matters. But I can't deny Chinese has a strong of influence in terms of using bitcoin.
920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Graphic] Bitcoin vs. The Government. on: March 16, 2017, 08:51:46 AM
you problem is a bitcoin payment card ... not the bitcoin.
thinks must be paid with a plastic card ... for now.

so, you have Xapo and others solutions to have a plastic car linked to bitcoins.

This was a good example of illustration regarding that situation of the bitcoin users now and the non-bitcoin users outside of this industry. Very easy to understand and simple to get the catch of it. This is proven only where bitcoin now at the present are little by little adopting by the masses in the other places of the country.
