902  Economy / Goods / Re: ASICMiner Fan Club t-shirt design contest on: June 26, 2013, 12:58:55 PM
Hey folks,

I'm a screenprinter by day, and I recently ran a group buy of friedcat "fan club" t-shirts, which you can see here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=230843.0

With the popularity of friedcat/AM growing by the day, I figured it'd be worthwhile to do another t-shirt run, but this time, with an added twist:

THE BEST USER-SUBMITTED DESIGN WILL BE CHOSEN.

Here's the rules of this contest:
1) Submit a .jpg or .png preview of your design in this thread, for people to view and comment on.
2) The most popular entry will be chosen on June 30 (my opinion matters here, as some designs don't print well).
3) Once the winning entry is chosen, I'll open a new Group Buy thread and start accepting payment.
4) If we reach 12 shirt orders by July 7, I'll print the shirts; if not, everyone gets their money back.
5) If we reach 24 shirt orders by July 7, the price drops by $5 per shirt, and everyone who already paid will get a partial refund.
6) Also, if we reach 12 shirt orders, the winner of the contest gets a free shirt, and will have one of their shirts sent to friedcat as well.
7) All final submissions must be in .ai, .svg, or other vector format. Psd, jpg, png, etc will not be accepted. Maximum of two colors, although single-color designs will be given preference.

Our old go-to shirt style is being phased out, so this shirt run will be printed on slightly more expensive Anvil organic cotton. Initial cost for the first 12 shirts will be somewhere between $15 and $20, depending on the artwork and the final cost of the blank shirts.

Just a friendly bump. I am not a graphic designer, but any quality shirts that deal with Bitcoin or ASICMiner in general are appreciated. Good luck with the t-shirt run!

Any speculations as to what the price will be of the dividends?

About 3.4ish currently.

Don't think friedcat has 1.34M bitcoins laying around Tongue

My guess is around ~0.015 without HW sales.
Not record-breaking, but knowing what to come (announcement new Blades, new USB sticks, almost 200TH/s ready from fab I really don't care a lot Tongue)

Looking forward to the next weeks! Cheesy

0.015 sounds about right this week . Next weeks dividend should be interesting with hardware sales starting up again!

where is Birfountain registered in China?..where was the patent filed for these units?..thanks

This is a group buy. Hi,

I'm interested to buy one.

How much to deliver it in Switzerland ?

Thanks in advance

International shipping is a flat fee of 0.9BTC. Add this to the price of how many you wish to order. 1=1.08 BTC plus 0.9 BTC international shipping equals 1.98 BTC delivered to Switzerland!

Hey all, sorry if I was slow to notice the price drop. I should have posted earlier that I didn't want the 5 @ 1.9 but instead will check the group buy.

Thx,

J

Thank you for the reply. Auction is closed. Check out my group buy at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=243137.0 . [OPEN] ASICMiner Erupter USB delivered 1=1.08, 3=3.10, 5=5.11, 10=10.11 BTC

911  Economy / Economics / Re: Peter Schiff on Bitcoin on: June 26, 2013, 06:20:48 AM
New links added to initial post.  An article by Andrew Schiff and the "bitcoin" word reared its little head on Tues.

Thanks for the updates. Schiff is big on precious metals, speaking of which the price has been manipulated sharply lower as of late.

912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 3 blocks in 14 minutes by same guy??? on: June 26, 2013, 06:17:35 AM
Hi

I was just checking at blockchain.info when the last block was found and I saw this:

look at blocks x57 to x59

That looks kinda fishy, doesn't it?

Thanks for an explanation!

Interesting post. Someone has some hashing power and a good amount of luck to boot.

Hi,

What is the computation power of those ones ?

Thanks for the question. 330+ MH/s (I believe theoretical max was listed at 336MH/s somewhere in forums).

914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Where can I buy this one? on: June 26, 2013, 06:13:33 AM
Where can I buy the USB Erupter(ASICMINER)!
I live in Taiwan.
Maybe I can e-mail.
The website say can mail to buy the things, but I didn't see any e-mail address.

Customers in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Please contact forum member rockxie(with e-mail address: rockxie@gmail.com), whose RRP is agreed by us.

Solid advice. They should be able to help you out. Good luck mining if you purchase some miners Smiley
915  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: June 26, 2013, 06:10:52 AM
NEWS FLASH!!! NEWS FLASH!!!

My K16 is hashing with 1 chip.

It's not giving a correct result nonce yet but I'm almost 99% sure that's due to errors in precalc code or maybe I'm shifting in word order backwards.

I soldered an ASIC on the board this morning and spent all day twiddling this and that, mostly getting the clock config right. Then bamm I saw something that looked like nonce bits coming out but they were stunted little bits trying desperately to reach high. But the twinkle was enough and I went through the Avalon reference design again to check and realized I'd not used the correct pull-up value for the result lines. Somehow I f'd up and spec'd 100k resistors instead of 470R. So I quickly removed them and soldered in some 1K that I had here. And the bits sprung forth to their full heights. I was totally excited and hopping around my work bench. Even my wife was in to see what the big commotion was about.

So... next step, test the UART receiver, and muck with the send data until the right nonce comes back.

BTW I'm running at half clock b/c no heat sink attached yet. The chip gets slightly warmish to the finger. With only one chip and half clock you have to set the scope trigger and hold the probes for a while until a nonce is found. I counted about 4-8 seconds but of course it depends on what point it is in it's cycle. One chip at half clock (128MHz) would be about 33 seconds for a full sweep.

Congrats and good luck!

916  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Block Erupter USB owners won't make ROI??? on: June 26, 2013, 06:09:40 AM
New group buy price for the USB block erupters is about 1 btc (not advertising for them, just sayin).

So, at the new price, assuming starting current difficulty, you'll make 1 btc in 5-6 months, depending on difficulty increases all the way to 40 million ish...

After that, my crystal ball gets cloudy, grasshopper.

I would estimate 1-2 years return on investment. And yes, I started a group buy just tonight in my signature. Difficulty will be crazy with all the Avalons, BFL, kncminer, TerraHash, AsicMiner, AMC, klondikes, bitfury, etc. etc. coming online by years end. Also, what VC money is being done in private to mine that the average guy knows nothing about. Then again, maybe bitcoin prices in ALL currencies will begin to rise.

917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 26, 2013, 05:57:34 AM

Do we get an update soon? Was it later this week or was that not kncminer?

Having connectivity issues here too with eu server.......troubles?

mint, eu1, us1, it's all the same at the moment.

Some miners are still on the old server though, probably because of misbehaving network equipment or software not respecting DNS TTL settings.

Thanks for your hard work. Hopefully hashrate will follow soon......

919  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: USB communication problems with BFL Jalapeno on: June 26, 2013, 05:54:18 AM
You need this- http://sourceforge.net/projects/libwdi/files/zadig/

Select your device and change the driver to WinUSB driver, only takes a minute and allows them to work flawlessly with cgminer 3.2.*

Good advice. Good luck mining. Maybe try bitminter if you can't get it situated right away.
