Interesting facts, and I agree with a statement that is just a question of time when will Bitcoin join a trillion dollar club. I believe we
are close to that, we will cross a trillion this or next year.
What would be interesting to see how long each of this markets needed to get to trillion dollar market. Stock, bond, real estate markets
exist for many years, I am sure these markets didn't rise so fast.

I agree partially on this, why to just hold when you can hold and stake?! In that way your amount will grow and you will benefit from
that holding in two ways, price can increase and you will have more coins.
But some alt-coins don't have staking option, many of them don't. I still decided to hold them for a long time because I believe their
value will rise over time. Chances for them to go to zero value exist, but I am ready to accept that risk and to hope for the best.

I believe there are some investors want to invest a new project hoping to make a huge profit of it but I still recommend to invest in the top coins than a new project because most of the new projects turn to scam so it is really risky.
Understand the risk and accept whatever outcome turned with your investment if you are aiming to earned decent profits. People who like to try some luck in hope that they will gained from this investment type of business. The chance of getting huge if you find pump coin that being played by whales or pumping groups, inside this industry there are lots of possibilities to earned high profits. Pamadar you are right, before making investment everyone should understand the risks and accept whatever happen. One of the first rules is invest what you can afford to lose, if investment turn bad that will not hurt you financially. One thing is common for many investors, they wish fast profit. Pump and dump groups offer that. I never participated in any pump and dump, I invest in long-term, and it's what people should do, to invest in technology and idea and one day price will rise if we are patient enough and wait long enough. |

I am not scared to go for alt-coin, I am going for alt-coins for more than a year. Give or take maybe I would be better with just two
investments Bitcoin and Ethereum, they rise, some alt-coins I have dropped a lot and they do not show any signs of recovery.
Follow the first rule of investing, invest only what you can afford to lose. When I invest in certain alt-coins I don't invest huge amounts,
I invest what I can afford to lose even if they go to zero.

If we look at ETH in 2017 and now, we can say that almost nothing has changed, but if all plans at ETH are implemented, we can see in 2 years ETH with PoS Mining.
Main question is will there be more people interested in Ethereum than we have now? If the answer is positive we can say that Ethereum in next 5 years will increase it's price significantly. PoS or PoW? What is better? For many people it's PoS, less electricity, you don't need special equipment, it's easier to set it up. Maybe Ethereum is making a great move with this change, but only time will tell is it like that or not. |

I bought ripple at $2.50 and i am at very high losses. I wanted to know if and when it will reach $3, $4 and if my stars shine $5 ? Please help. I am being as much patient i can but i am honestly dying from the inside looking at the prices.
If you HODL long enough, you might see it hitting $2.50 again but I extremely doubt it will hit $5.00. You need to factor the supply...with 43.7 billion circulating coins (100 Billion max supply)...that translates to $218 Billion dollars market cap ($500 billion for max supply).  For reference, BTC at $10k each only equate to $182 Billion right now. I hold more than a year! I bought under $1, I thought it will be the bottom for Ripple, but since than price still dropping. Will it ever come back to $1, who knows. I doubt in that, but I will hold what I have. There's a lot of hype around Ripple, positive and negative. Who knows what future holds for Ripple, but I will be a part of it in good and bad. |

I would say do not resist FOMO, I would say resist FUD, right now that is exactly what we need. Fomo is helping market up, it is "fear of missing out" and as people here who like crypto, we should make everyone feel like they are missing out on something amazing, and not just make them feel like it but actually make them realize it because altcoin fever and bitcoin craze are not stuff that will soon end, for the next 5-10 even 20 years this will continue, I am not sure which coins will survive and which coins will be bad but I can tell you that we will definitely not going to get anything bad going on for those years so getting in right now would be amazing for all of us.
Fomo is not bad, fomo is reality, fomo is what we should all aim at for everyone else who are not involved.
I agree with you El Kaka22, people should resist FUD, but FOMO can be a good thing. When people understand all the benefits of crypto-currencies they will have a feeling that they are missing something huge and they will join. FOMO can affect masses to join crypto-currencies. But there is other side, with so many crypto-currencies it's hard to invest in all of them with limited bankroll. It's a negative side of FOMO, we can't have them all! Some coins and tokens will be missed, we need to deal with that and to believe in choices we are making when investing. |

Maybe it was someday and who knows.
But the current market position for both of them is still far from the defeat. Ethereum could still lead all altcoins in terms of market volume and as well as the number of users. No doubts that both of them are profitable but is matters only how the investors appreciate each coin.
Nobody knows, that's true, but I doubt that Binance will beat Ethereum in the long run. Maybe Binance can come close, but the future will be decentralized and Ethereum has an advantage there. It's my opinion. Many people here on forum talk that in next 10 years we will see many changes, one of them is people moving from centralized exchanges to DEX. If that really happens Binance will not be able to compete with Ethereum. |

Actually, this all depends on our own preferences and experiences. Maybe I can say that Binance waa the best exchange but you have a bad experience on this platform you will probably dont believe me. That is why I think there is no such thing as a good exchange, all of them have flaws it really depends on our preferences.
We all have feelings, but there are universal things we should consider when we choose an exchange: -Security -Fees -Asset selection -Volume -Trading options We can't mix our personal feelings with the reality and talk bad about exchange just because it doesn't suit us in some way. I can't use Binance due their decision to not support my country, but I still have a great opinion about Binance and I bought some of their tokens, I keep them in Atomic Wallet. I hope one day they will rethink their decision and allow citizens from my country to use them. |

I have seen many projects like this in 2017, many of them dropped above 95% and some have been scam / not traded on any market.
That mean the project is not good for longterm, or there is a better project come to replace it.
this kind of projects occur while cryptocurrency in gold moment. people trying to earn money as fast as and as much as they can, although by creating fake projects. we saw it on early 2017 till now on , many project failed in market or even they scammed us and investors. but from this accident , investor now be smarter than before . they understand how to avoid loss from new projects or IEO. and slowly market confident back again . Strunberg you are right, some of these projects appeared in 2017, when we had huge hype around entire crypto-market. Some coins went high, people had money to invest and they did that. Many projects from that time failed, or become a scam along the way. We can't do much about it, except to avoid those projects that looks fishy. Market confident will be hard to get back, still we have many scam projects, projects with cartoon characters, what we need is more education, and newbies should learn more before they invest in some new project. |

The last ATH was around 20,000 and that will mean bitcoin repealing it history. It has been done like 3 years back in 2017 when there was no halving but this is a time for another mining limitation which is likely to create higher demand. I see a bull run likely to get bitcoin to $20,000.
We all see and wait for that bull run. Many people predicting the bull run this year, some predict bull run for the next year. Some experts talk about specific months when will it happen. I think that Bitcoin price is capable of achieving $20k this year. If more people joins, if we get more interest from governments and companies Bitcoin can go to $20k in less then a month, and until the end of this year we have 10 more months. |

Actually there are many exchange making thier own coins just to follow what binance success story. Having thier own coins and make thier own demand is what binance do to BNB. But those copy cat do not have anything to offer other than you can use it to thier exchange and lessen the fees for widrawal. There are many of them even new exchange before they launch make thier own coin to think that they can also earn money having that. success of binance (BNB) will not gonna happen to other exchange unless they invented other use of thier coins and can also list to other exchange. Rodeo02 I agree with you, other exchanges are trying to do the same as Binance, but with the right we can doubt that Binance success can be copied by some other exchanges. What can they invent? Holders of the exchange coin have dividends, some benefits for trading and that is it. My point is that Binance is doing it, other exchanges trying to do the same, so hype is not over. Maybe we will see some surprises and new inventions in the future, we need to be opened for stuff like that. |

There was a time when investors and newbies went on a crazy spree to invest on exchange tokens like BNB, OKB, BIX, HUOBI TOKEN, Kucoin Shares and Aurora...
Many of them strated pumping from 3-4 days and it was not a small one. I have seen that this happens when BTC moves big. What is your opinion on this..?
The hype around exchange coins died down, even though I benefited from exchange coins during that season. It's good to always follow the trend, the aim is to make profit lol. I don't think that hype around exchange coins died! I think we will see a lot more from them in the upcoming years. Binance coin is not just an exchange coin, they are a platform with DApp's on it, with constant coin burning they lower supply and that will affect the price, as more usage. There are a lot of benefits from holding Binance coin, same as some other exchange coins. |

I have BNB, Cardano, Ethereum, Litecoin. Tron, Dash. On my wishlist is Dash and Tezos! Our list of alt-coins is similar, with a few exceptions. I think we are good to go for the future, I would like to accumulate more of what I have and to add these two, Dash and Tezos. I am a long-term holder, I hold some of this coins for more than a year, and I plan to hold them for few years more before I sell any of them. |

Country are actively moving to eliminate cash payments. The first stage was debit / credit cards. I think that the second stage will be centralized cryptocurrencies that are under their full control
People will have the final word about this. We will be able to choose centralized crypto-currency, or decentralized. I believe in a free future where we will be able to make a decision and have a freedom of choice. I believe that crypto-currencies are the future. We still learn about decentralized system, it will take years for people to understand what is better for us and our future, but that will happen one day, in 10 or 50 years! |

Often timw, i have seen lots of Bounty hunters complain about inability to sell their earned rewards simply because it dumped massively and got de listed or wasted away or died.
But I feel otherwise, some Bounty hunters expect too much from project they worked for and got few tokens, so instead of taking profits, they hold and end up earning nothing, then they claim the project is scam.

Don't expect too much profits from projects.
NB: Taking profits does not literally mean dumping tokens, for examples, i earned 4,500,000 cyfm then worth over 200$
Today it worths less than 10$.

Nice topic and kind words! Many are obsessed with profit, it's all what they see. Making profit is nice, no argue about that, but sometimes we could support a project even if it's not profitable, in the future who knows, I believe with the right support from people anything is possible. I have some tokens that lost value over time. I still hold them, I talk with the team in their telegram, I follow them on Twitter, I am trying to be supportive as I can, and many situation will change over time. |

This is hilarious, let me ask, what would be the price of Bitcoin then or even Ethereum? Speculations here and there has landed most people into holding coins they don't want to. I still remember what was said about the price of Bitcoin last year but here we are. I think it's time we stop listening to all these. Now talking about XRP attaining that price, does it even look achievable? Yes XRP team is trying their best and they are partnering with many platforms but yet not enough for someone to say such. Let's be careful of all these price speculations.
It's amazing that someone believes that XRP can go so high. It will take a lot of work to get XRP out of this bear market. I have XRP a long time now, and it's one of my investments that goes down, and down and looks like nothing can affect XRP to start rising. I lost some money already and I lost faith in XRP long time ago. I don't believe it will recover to $1, with sell off they conduct every couple months XRP can just go deeper. |

the question from the first post can be answered with NO. although half of it was reached at ATH. nevertheless I personally never see ETH at 2000 USD. until the market would allow such a thing there are other projects which could replace ETH. i say consciously could because you can never be completely sure in the crypto environment.  I believe in Ethereum in long-term, in my opinion it's possible for ETH to be $2k in next couple years, not in the next couple months. There's a huge difference between months and years. Ethereum is a great project. There are some serious competitors, but I doubt any of competing projects can replace Ethereum. It's the best platform with the most new projects on it. The newest upgrade will make Ethereum more scalable and that can lead Ethereum price to new ATH. |
