poloniex and bittrex are both silent for a long time ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Poloniex was quite active (in news) since they've changed location and business model. However, the silence may be caused by the fact that the party has moved to Binance. Of course, also the alts just started to unfreeze, give them more time.

I think that he's sleeping now. We may have to wait a few more hours.

Isn't every 210.240 blocks? Not 210.000
I don't know where you got your number from, but Bitcoin wiki tells clearly that halving happens every 210000 blocks: The number of bitcoins generated per block is set to decrease geometrically, with a 50% reduction every 210,000 blocks, or approximately four years.

so my best guess is that he'll be out of the forum or without enough time to post regularly for some weeks.
Since there's no minimum weekly post count, this is not much of a valid reason. Maybe his Bitcoin investments have become big enough so he doesn't have to work anymore, at all. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) However, I think that this kind of things are not to be discussed in public. And yeah, I foresee interesting days again in this thread (poor DS will have plenty of work again).

I think that the Digital Gold team can contact Coingecko directly to update the info, don't take much time, and they should update in just a few days.
While I agree that the bigger aggregators (at least CMC) may need to be notified to update, it's debatable what to do with the smaller ones. OK, coingecko is not that small. But I see worldcoinindex doesn't seem to have GOLD at all. Notifying most of them can be good advertising, but it is also something like doing the job of those website owners... as I said, debatable. It's up to GOLD team decision, really. I think that other things (like bech32 integration in their marketplace) could be more important.

If I haven't made any mistakes, then we're fucked. This whole cryptocurrency thing is going nowhere, this is absolutely outrageous.
You forgot to read and understand the part about the minimum fee vs top priority fee. That's a mistake. So we're just fine. Although the mempool is busy, it had some cool down period at about 1h after your post. So you could have paid 20-30x less for fees and the transaction would have still went through. It all depends on knowledge, patience and some luck too.

Seemed like every key I pushed did a different version of A and O ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I guess that you got a taste of the lovely French keyboard. Wasn't also AZERTY by chance? Also, if you have such masochistic temptations, you should also try Hungarian (áéóöőúüű) ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftalkimg.com%2Fimages%2F2023%2F05%2F14%2Fblobc9c781c9f7a63711.png&t=664&c=vPXbZvI_lgYu8A) Overcoming the 9,500 figure will cost work, the next step is to break 10,500, if we get there, the bears are defeated. Waiting patiently for getting over 10k EUR (!) figures. That's what should have been the pre-halving price imho. And of course, I am curious what will the manipulation masters do in the next 15-20 days with the price.

I see no reason for people to trust your service.
I don't want to be mean, but this "service" looks more like asking for a "donation for anonymous user" than a mixer / anonymizer.

1. Would this block be worth any more than other blocks?
Maybe for certain collectors, but not necessarily. I find this "halving as event for collectors" as over-pumped commercial event with no meaning. They just want to sell some stuff to .. anyone. Virgin blocks may be worth more to certain people and could this BTC have any premium ?
There are plenty of virgin Bitcoins, there may be not enough collectors for them 2. Mining is mining and bitcoin is bitcoin ?
Mining is mining and the halving block is just another block next in line.

Trist.. dar asta-i lumea incorecta in care traim. In alte tari oamenii de rand inca pot fi in acea situatie.

I am using Freebitco.in which is not really a wallet... but I didn’t find a wallet with lower fees.
* You should read about custodian wallets and wallets where you own your private keys. * You should read about transaction fees and try to understand that where you don't own your private keys you pay more a service/withdrawal fee than transaction fee. * You should read about wallet security and understand that the coins are not in a wallet, they are still "on the network" and if you are not careful what wallet (and other software) you install and how careful you are with creating the wallet and keeping your private key (or seed) you may end up with your money stolen without somebody touching your wallet. When this is done you should have a better image of what you want. Then you can go to https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet and choose a wallet. Also keep in mind that if you always pay the minimum fee, sooner or later will come here crying that your transaction is unconfirmed for longer than you expected.

Which of these mining techniques do you encourage an aspirational miner to adopt?
I would encourage you'd start with reading the point 3 from this topic. Then you should be able to answer yourself. Also, if you really want to mine Bitcoins, you should read (and ask) in Bitcoin mining subforum. I advise you also take a look at altcoin mining too, you may prefer GPU mining, also Bitcoin halving will happen in less than a week, which will decrease miners' income by a great deal. However, unless you have dirt cheap electricity you should do something better with your money, else you'll end up paying 1$ for 50˘ worth of coins.

When did it do 100x? You are trying to shilling for it. Hex got a lot of hype last days. It is a scam project and the owner trying to hype the project so high. I think you should stay away from this project because its ROI is too high already.
According to graphs on CMC the HEX/USD price rose more than 13x from its start to now. Also according to graphs on CMC the HEX/BTC price rose almost 10x from its start to now. Of course, if you compare all time low vs now, yes, it's more than 100x. But all this doesn't matter. The coin is listed on small exchanges (some could even call them rather shady) where it's easy to pump it (or dump it). The volumes are not reliable. So all the numbers are simply advertising.Maybe it's a good investment. Maybe not. I find it too risky though.

Locking phone doesn't do anything then right?
it depends on who you are trying to protect yourself against. if it is government, law enforcement,... then no nothing will be enough. they can easily force you to obey and hand over all your passwords and open all the locks very easily. if it is a thief with a gun to your head then again the same scenario, they can force you to give it all up. but if it is only to protect against a snoopy friend, colleague,... then yeah even locking your phone does a lot. Actually there are means to protect yourself. At least I think so. 1. Don't keep all your coins in one place. Simply keep the coins you don't spend in the near future on (safely generated) paper wallets offline, maybe in safe box maybe copies in different places. 2. Never trust phone security, use hardware wallet for the money you keep at hand. 3. Use as much as possible change addresses and different receive addresses to make it harder to track the funds to you, so government or individuals don't know if you own 0.1 BTC or 1000 BTC (or more, why not?) 4. Keep your mouth shut. Don't brag about your wealth. The worst that can happen is not the government and not the hackers. You don't want yourself or somebody you love get kidnapped or things like this because you brag on the internet you have 100 BTC (and maybe in reality you don't even have them!)

That's a good way to do it, I don't have a blockchain wallet though. However, it would be better if it can be done through an script by myself. I was looking for such a way. I guess we have such option to do that.
You don't need to create a new Blockchain wallet. I would not trust them with my money. I've used it for a certain address from one of my HD wallets. No private key sent to Blockchain.
