9041  Other / Meta / Re: Why am I getting error while uploading gif? on: October 19, 2019, 06:18:03 PM
Does image size matters too?
Yes. You basically created a video in the format of a gif. Shocked

14 mb of size... And AFAIK the forum accepts images up to 2.5 mb.
9042  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex Withdrawal Complete "Transaction ID not Found" on: October 19, 2019, 04:40:36 PM
Poloniex does that. I used to use them years ago and they always gave a transaction ID which was not yet broadcasted.

What happens is that the transaction ID will exist in the mempool, but it doesn't yet. For some reason they delay these and maybe broadcast them all at once (there is no economy, so I really don't know what is the reason for that), but you should just wait. In any cases, they are the only ones that can help you.

- Another thing which I will make public on Tuesday, probably. It's a temporary forum feature similar to past april fools things in some ways, though not a prank.
This may sound strange, but theymos may use the Satoshi account to trick people into the tenth anniversary of the forum.
He has done a lot in April Fools so this trick will be amazing and it will make a lot of fuss.

As for Satoshi, I do not expect that he will return soon. A lot of tremors will actually occur in the price if he/she/they appears.
That would be interesting to say at least...

But while this would make a lot of fuss, I don't think people would like this. Theymos already has a lot of "enemies" due to the BCH and /r/btc stuff so they would just go bananas about it. Cheesy

He also said it's more of a forum functionality (like the previous April 1st).

9047  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitskins alternatives? on: October 18, 2019, 10:58:06 PM
What is even going with Bitskins? They were announcing that they were going to shut down and apparently new ownership has now taken over or something? Are they still safe to use?
Yes.

They announced they had a new owner ~2 weeks ago: https://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sr1bvb

And with crypto back:
Quote
Cryptocurrencies are making a return! Depositing and withdrawing cryptocurrencies will be possible again! Deposits will be available very shortly and withdrawals will be implemented in within a week as we work out the final details.

The $2.000 purchase and maximum item listing amount will be removed as well!

I would be careful with it, since we don't know the intentions behind the new owner.

Also, anyone had any experience with sites like Skinbay or Skinbaron?
I didn't use neither of them since I stopped playing CSGO a while ago, but I had a few friends that used Skinbay and they affirm it is legit. So it should be a valid option.

9049  Local / Economia & Mercado / Re: Atlas Quantum - Arbitragem Automatizada - ATENÇÃO, NÃO INVISTA on: October 18, 2019, 04:50:10 PM

Better to use a different image hosting provider.

Edit: your's on Imgur isn't working as well. Weird.
9051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction sent to multiple wallets on: October 18, 2019, 02:37:00 PM
The other address is most likely your change address. It's basically the change of the transaction being sent to one of your addresses.

The way Bitcoin works is that you spend the inputs you receive like bills. If you receive a transaction of 1 BTC, you have an input of 1 BTC (image this like a bill of 1 BTC). If you then try to send 0.3 BTC to someone, you will create 2 outputs from that 1 BTC input: one of 0.3 BTC to the address you are sending to, and one of 0.7 BTC (the change) back to one of your addresses. And this is all done automatically by most wallets.

You can read more about it here:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Change
https://themoneymongers.com/bitcoin-change-address/

Would you mind sharing the transaction id?

Smiley
9053  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live - Cannot fully customize fees for Eth and ERC-20 tokens on: October 18, 2019, 12:27:47 PM
Hi, I don't know if this correct topic for my posting,  but I'm desperate. I distinctly remember installing Ledger Live on my Win 10 PC but can't find it. Search didn't help. Could someone tell me where it keeps its data so that I could locate it directly.

See if the "C:\Program Files\Ledger Live" folder exists. This is where the software files are at.
And the data files (related to the wallet itself) are stored in "%appdata%/Ledger Live"

9056  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bestmixer.biz on: October 17, 2019, 09:41:18 PM
A legit mixer wouldn't send it back to your address either, that's the whole point of mixing, isn't it?
He's saying that he tried to mix to his address X but the fake mixer sent the coins to a random address, which is most likely owned by the scammer or some exchange, and not the one they were supposed to send to (X).

Edit:
OP sent coins to 1HSEsVdmcEgFHmQ9EixiWek6KoYiRaRkDK. OP wouldn't be getting the coins to their address X from 1HSEsVdmcEgFHmQ9EixiWek6KoYiRaRkDK even if it was a legit mixer. The coins would be coming from some pre-mixed pool or something. Right? Or am I having a major brain fart?
Ahh, you are right. I just ignored that for some reason. Tongue
I'm the one having the major brain fart.

9058  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bestmixer.biz on: October 17, 2019, 09:02:46 PM
Well, that was 100% a phishing website. The real BestMixer got shutdown by the europol.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/europol-shuts-down-200-million-crypto-mixing-service-bestmixer

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do.

Edit:
Surely a scam from someone trying to recycle Bestmixer domain name reputation. They do it with every popular mixer down.
1 second earlier. lol

Is this a new record?
9059  Other / Meta / Re: Fake Bitcointalk forum Warning on: October 17, 2019, 06:26:11 PM
why is it a fake? it is simply a different bitcoin forum, are here some greedy monopolists upset?
Dude? It's a literal clone of BitcoinTalk.

I found your exact post in there: https://bitinfo.cc/topic.php?topic=5193542.msg52790760#msg52790760 < FAKE BITCOINTALK

What does fake mean to you?
9060  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] fake Bitcointalk forum clone BitInfo.cc !!! on: October 17, 2019, 05:22:56 PM
I check the login page  to see if they are really cloning the login page and I landed here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=login, their redirection is only on the home page but have not yet cloned the login page, we can conclude that the cloning is not complete and it has no effect to visitors who wants to log in to the real Bitcointalk, but we have something to worry if we are careless.
The login button only leads to BitcoinTalk in the homepage. Try going to any post and click on the login button to see what happens. There is a clone of the login page.

There is another thread from OP in the other board (Fake Bitcointalk forum Warning) and IMO, breaking the thread in two (due to different boards) isn't that great because it divides the discussion.

I posted this in there:
TIP: Add the website to your hosts file to block it and avoid clicking on it by mistake.
I totally fell for the cloned site, until I realized I couldn't see your trust ratings.
I have added this line to /etc/hosts
Code:
127.0.0.1       bitcointalk.to
Now my computer can't access that phishing site anymore.

Just do the above but with bitinfo.cc instead of bitcointalk.to.
Code:
127.0.0.1       bitinfo.cc
