9041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum - why buy coins? on: April 07, 2017, 06:49:49 PM
Looks like eth is going down again, some months ago I sold all my eth,and last week I purchase a small amount of eth just to try my Jaxx wallet now the value of my eth in my jaxx wallet is lower by $5 but I prefer to hold more eth I know this coin still has a huge potential in the future.
I also think it has future potential, very big one. The only problem is that it offers so many opportunities that there are potential big security problems. But if everything goes fine, I think ethereum should be considered as a long-term investment. I'm not selling it unless it drops to $20 or so which I don't think will happen.
OP, wait till the price goes down a bit and buy!
9042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: April 06, 2017, 07:09:05 PM
I tried to gamble and everything went as expected. Great website but you should seriously consider the off the chain method instead of on-chain method, it does keep us from gambling as quickly as we want to be honest with you. If you put an offchain version than both of us (gamblers and vdice) would profit from that, win-win.
But the thing is that on-chain transactions are public, so people may see that everything is going well. Plus it helps the ethereum itself, I guess, because shows the platform possibilities. Off-chain transaction needs to be based on trust (if I got the idea right) which is not a good thing in anonymous world. As I'm reading more about off-chain now, I tend to think that I don't really understand what it means. Could you perhaps explain in simple words?
9043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin Casinos are really worth it? on: April 06, 2017, 08:56:54 AM
Yes, investing in bitcoin casino's are really worth it. But it's like trading of alt coins or ICO's you need to choose those who has good background, trust in the community and it's tenure of operation which is being proven by the time. There are casino's that are going to be your very good partner you just need to choose the best.
I would say that if you invest in a good successful casino, you'll need to wait for more than a year to get hte money back and start earning. And who knows what happens to a casino which is nice now in a year? Altcoin investment is different. If you are lucky and a bit skilled, you can invest the money and earn from that moment. And in case the alt's price is just staying where it was - you sort of already have your money returned, because you can sell the alt anytime.
In casinos I guess it's better to invest in altcoins' bankrolls, because thus you may start earning faster + may win because of the alt going up.
9044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy Litecoin Inmediately. on: April 05, 2017, 07:19:09 PM
Ok im buying. Tell me when to stop!
Nobody can. Some think litecoin is a half-dead currency and just a clone of btc. Others think it is one of the best and will show how good it is when btc will become too expensive. I believe ltc is rather an investment for a long time and I'm thinking about buying some now since it's growing in price very FAST. And yet $10 is not that much, so it's a nice chance to buy some.
But again, creating a wallet, finding a nice website to do the thing.. I guess I'll never be a trader because mostly this is what stops me.
9045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: One thing missing in people's price speculation. on: April 05, 2017, 07:01:37 PM
Randomness!

There are some super smart guys on this forum who think they can predict coins like LTC due to actual facts. It's almost hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic. The truth is 90% of big moves are irrational and based on intangible human moods and whims.

I've made more money than most simply sticking my finger in the air and testing the mood, often being contrarian rather than following the crowd. But seriously logic is the last thing you want to follow.
I think you are wrong a bit. Trading is not only the matter of luck but of skills as well. Yes, there are no guarantees. But there are some probabilities. For example, there is a very low probability that bitcoin will reach 2000$ tomorrow or fall to $700. And, similarly, if you see some coin was quite stable and than started growing+ there are people who believe it's good (on this forum) + the currency is at least a few months old - it is very likely to grow in price at least a bit more in the following days, so you can buy right now and wait for good time to sell it. Or you can just predict that the price will still be growing and will most likely reach some point in a couple of days.
9046  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin prices go to the moon? on: April 05, 2017, 06:48:31 PM
I wish to see other countries follow the btc footsteps of Japan. Once this happens we can expect that rocket-moon... but for now, please expect a lot of rocket-science specs.  Grin Grin Grin
Well, as we all know, Switzerland is also quite friendly to bitcoin but I don't think it helps much. What matters is many btc casinos with huge bankrolls, trading sites and miners doing their job. And yet we can't say that the price is 'going to the moon'. I think nice and slow growth is totally fine and it is great bitcoin hasn't faced the hark fork.
9047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it still a good time to buy Litecoin? on: April 04, 2017, 11:16:37 AM

I have some coins I've kept but I'm not sure if its still possible to earn with the litecoin being pumped. I recently bought some other coin as well like Ripple but withdraw the first chance I got earning me few bucks. Do you think the price of LTC wil be more than $10 before the month end?
Litecoin is still growing. More than $8 already. As the coin itself is old and famous, I think it should also be considered by you as a long-term investment. Popular casinos have ltc bankroll, so it is not likely to fall a lot anyway. And if you think about a short-term investment - the less time from now goes before you buy - the better. It seems to be an extremely good investment right now.
9048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling sites should ask proofs ? on: April 04, 2017, 10:56:09 AM
How will less scams happen when gambling sites ask for proofs from the customers?

It should be the other way around. Gambling sites should mention where their companies are registered and provide the reference numbers for that. They should show who runs the show so things are more transparent for the gamblers.
I totally agree with this. Customers might be anyone. The casino needs to prove it is fair and perhaps, as you say, officially registered.
However, in some cases no proof is needed. For example, Vdice is written on ethereum platform and I guess the transactions are performed on it like in the case with smart contracts. And this is basically a cool version of an self-evident non-scamming gambling website.
9049  Economy / Economics / Re: Which country are you from? Here list THIRTY popular bitcoin countries for trade on: April 04, 2017, 10:38:51 AM
I am from the country #19. People out here mostly don't know a thing about bitcoin but we also have some people related to creating alts (Swiscoin) and there are more than 20 websites on which one is able to buy/sell bitcoin. Some are very complex, you have to make a video of your computer screen when you send btc. Others have worse prices but are very easy to use (email registration, entering the sum one wants to buy/sell, sending money on some adress, recieving what one wanted in about half an hour).
9050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: April 04, 2017, 10:25:14 AM
I think it's the question how much bitcoins you own.
If your fortune ain't that big, I think an online wallet is enough.
If you have more coins, a cold storage might be a solution to think about.
The OP said that he wants to buy bitcoin for a couple of thousands USD. So, I guess, the sum is quite big. I heard that offline wallet is safer but I personally trust Blockchain wallet. You just need a good password and then it's pretty safe. I know a person with 1 btc in this online wallet and he trusts it as well. The problem with a cold wallet is that if something happens to your computer, you may say goodbye to your money, whereas with online wallet you get access anywhere.
9051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins to invest in for future use rather than pump and dump on: April 03, 2017, 08:46:41 AM
Firstly, I'd like to say that I think we are wrong if we want to earn money and care whether the coin is 'pump and dump' or not. As the coin is starting to pump, one can buy it and than check the price every 12 hours. In case the price is still growing, nothing should be done, just keep checking the price. If the price goes 10% off on coinmarketcap - time to withdraw.
Secondly, although many say ETH is pump and dump, I really believe in this coin more than is any other and think it deserves to be in the list of good investments.
9052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: April 03, 2017, 08:35:14 AM
Dogecoin is an inflationary coin. While it may have a stable price and be very useful in micro-transaction, it is unlikely to attract speculative investors. So the price is not likely to take off.
Inflation is something we consider to be bad for a coin as there are ways in cryptoworld to avoid it. Nevetheless, the real money we all use most of our time is all inflationary and we seem to be okay with it. What is really good about doge is that it can not face a fork problem. And this is what may make it popular in the future in case bitcoin and ethereum suffer from a hard fork.
Oh, and you were saying that doge price is not likely to grow much but it is growing as we are talking. Almost +50% for the past 24 hours.
9053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does cryptocurrency mean to you? on: April 03, 2017, 08:21:11 AM
In generally you just need to read more. All answers are already written.

1. Value is always as much buyer and seller value it. Most current crypto coins value is speculative. Tiny bit is real.  Specially ICO coins was issued with different reason. More liek a share of a project then an actually money.   So you need to ask yourself this question at exact currency.

2. Cryptocurency have no ethic. It is money. Money have no ethic.  People that are using money have them. If they dont respect society or laws is ofcourse bad. They will get punished for it sooner or latter. I am sure everyone was already taught this.

3. It is simple they just will. Now since is so new ofcourse dont fit so well. Structure will modify to accept it. Most think that with crypto is end of governments collecting taxes. that si far from true. They will just adopt to collect them where tehy can. And they will be happy doing it since there wil be way more GDP to collect taxes from.
I almost agree about the first one but I would say the value is never real. Well, we can consider the price of electricity and miners and calculate the 'real value' but it doesn't matter at all. As for the second one, the money itself has no ethics. Nevertheless, the users' behaviour leaves some trace on the currency which can be considered as the currencie's ethics. For instance, btc ethics was really bad when it became popular as it was highly involved in the dark market business. Litecoin is rather famous as a casino cryptocurrency than dark market one, so its ethics is a bit better and so on.
9054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC is the next pump, buy before moon landing!!!!! on: April 03, 2017, 08:07:54 AM
Putting everything into one coin is too risky. You need to diversify in case LTC crashes for example. Its a gamble so don't risk what you can't afford to lose!
Sure. I totally agree with this. Yes, litecoin is 10% up in the price. Perhaps you should invest some money right now and sell when it starts falling down. But there are other coins which go up and down every day. You should consider investing in coins like Steam, Wevas, Stratis and so on as a really short-term investment and in Ethereum (when the price will become around $30), Bitcoin (still the best, we shpuld forget it), Dash/Zcash/Monero/Byteball.
9055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Swiscoin insane peak, what happened? on: April 03, 2017, 07:55:52 AM
As the coin is probably Russian or even Ukrainian, there is some potentially useful information to answer this question. Swiscoin is not just a coin but an organization which studies different cuurencies and tries to create some new improvement technologies. The CEO of this organization is Dm.Zubarenko who owns a company in Ukraine named "Communication and technologies" which helps people with phone connections. So, he probably just pumped the coin recently to draw attention to it.
9056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: April 03, 2017, 07:39:39 AM
I believe it is great that there is such a project of promoting ethereum. Although it is one of the best cryptocurrencies, casinos sometimes prefer doge and ltc instead of it. I think those who say that ethereum is 'pump and dump' are totally wrong and a site where people may gamble based on eth platform is something which can support the coin, increase the price and show others the possibilities the platform provides us all with, even comparing to bitcoin where it is even hardly possible to perform smart contracts.
9057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan to accept Bitcoin as payment method. on: April 02, 2017, 09:22:02 AM
the first japan bill containing virtual currencies is expected to come on april which recognizes bitcoin as a method of payment.Although,it doesnot define bitcoin as a legal currency,it is still considered as a remarkable progress for bitcoin in japan.Hope, most of tourists who would go to japan to see 2020 olympics would be able to pay in bitcoins.
What is meant by it being a paying method but not a legal currency? So, can you buy a ticket or rent a flat using bitcoin? Or perhaps a private company may decide to accept btc but governmental institutions can not?
Japan is a progressive country, so it is likely for it to accept innovations.
9058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin has potential. Beyond $50? on: April 02, 2017, 09:12:36 AM
I think lite pin is the first and the best btc clone, so it may become great again. At least, it is protected from inflation.
Okay, so they are built on the same platform and are very alike. You say one can't go up without another one. But btc is now above a thousand and litecoin has a really low price. How is possible? I believe the connection is not as strong as you say it is.
9059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum classic vs Ethereum on: April 02, 2017, 09:03:49 AM
Don't know what to tell you, think of china and the rest of the world ( excluding africa ). Almost everything is copied by the chinese, from handbags to entire towns even, no innovation whatsoever. ETC is china.

So there's no real point to it? Just cheaper
No. As far as I remember, ETC is also built on the ethereum platform but it has faced a hard fork, so the coin was nearly killed and that's why the price is that small. ETH is a new version on the same platform. And I think that it has some code improvements but perhaps I'm wrong. So, it seems to me that etc is something btc would become in case of the hard fork and eth is like the potential bytecoin.
9060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ok So I bought coins that are now expired... on: April 02, 2017, 08:47:55 AM
I am confused, i supposed that alt coin wont never be expired, the only thing can happened is the coin remove from the list and the value become zero, if you bought that coin then you can say goodbye to your coin, unless you try to promote and asked other people to used the coin so it can be revive
We have to wait till OP explains what he meant to give advice on the case but I tend to think he means that the coin became worthless. And thus OP is wondering whether the coin had a chance to grow again and is anybody interested in buying a worthless coin. And in this case it all depends on the coin itself.
