9043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason that keeps me from investing in bitcoin on: June 29, 2017, 11:39:52 AM
OP if you are so concerned about the high fees maybe a good altcoin is better for you to invest in. Litecoin has already activated Segwit and soon the Lightning Network payment layer will follow. Look into it, maybe it is where you want to invest your money.
9044  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trend spotting in Bitcoin on: June 29, 2017, 11:22:36 AM
I agree, because of the unpredictable nature of the market, ordinary people like us who have limited trading knowledge are better off concentrating on the long term. My best advice or OP is to buy any dip in price and to always place low bids.

Congratulations on the successful crowdsale! Use the funds well and I wish your team good luck on your quest to build something revolutionary for the world of cryptocurrencies.

What are the latest updates with Maidsafe's development? Is your team in close contact with them?

As they say, "Google is your friend". There is no need to be lazy and let others do the job for you.

Here is a list of nice charting websites that I have found using the keywords "cryptocurrency charts". I suggest playing around the keywords to get more results.

Your snarky response is not helpful. If you bothered to read my first post, I explained that I'd done an extensive search with google and other search engines to no avail.

Oh sorry, I did not mean to be rude. I was trying to helpful. But how are the sites?

Here are 2 more sites that you might find useful.

9047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central Banks Intend To Fight CryptoCurrencies on: June 28, 2017, 08:05:31 AM

OP, why is there a need for the central banks to create a national digital currency? The current "cashless" system that they have now and control is working fin for them. If you did not notice your debit card and, or credit card in your wallet as a "digital" version of paper money then you have not been paying attention to how the banks are manipulating is in becoming a "cashless" society.

I guess they want to sound like they're supproting new fintech, so that they don't get criticized for being too conservative... Obviously, having a crypto without decentralization does not help.

"Cryptocurrencies" without decentralization is not real crypto. They are no better than fiat tokens implemented using a rewritable database. Again why is there a need for this? If they can control the flow of money more with it then the more it would give incentive for Bitcoin use. They do not realize the direct effects of their actions.
9048  Economy / Speculation / Re: Global Crypto Bear Market on: June 28, 2017, 07:59:44 AM
What bear market?

The one in the imagination of wishful thinkers dreaming of cheap coins.

Nothing in Bitcoin is cheap anymore. If the price falls by 50% overnight the price would still be around $1000. That is far from "cheap".
9049  Economy / Speculation / Re: Global Crypto Bear Market on: June 27, 2017, 07:30:10 AM
Alt-coins are entering a global bear market but not Bitcoin, it will go up when we get Segwit.

Can you give us a more thorough explanation why you think so? Saying that Bitcoin will go up "because Segwit" is not enough. Do not forget, the UASF could get messy and could split the blockchain in 2. A dumping war might ensue bringing the price of Bitcoin down under $2000.

9052  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Advice... on: June 27, 2017, 07:00:18 AM
If you want an honest trading advice then believe only the ones that say everything is overbought right now. Stay away from altcoins until they have fully corrected. If you buy in now, it will probably result in paper losses, and it can be very frustrating looking at those in your portfolio.

9053  Economy / Speculation / Re: True or false: Ethereum is a bubble, bitcoin is not on: June 26, 2017, 12:05:00 PM
Why? How? What's the obvious symptoms of bubble that you're seeing? Or more importantly, why do you think Ethereum isn't worthy of it's current value?

over 40x increase in a handful of months. icos that no one understands selling out in seconds. r/ethtrader filled with thousands of posts a day about buying lambos.

does any of that smell like business as usual?

It smells like it is time to get out and lock the profits. News has it that deposits and withdrawals of some ICO tokens were disabled by the exchanges because Ethereum's backlog is getting too large.

not the ICos but the ethereum itself. they have disabled all the deposits and withdrawals of ETH because ethereum blockchain apparently has so many problems right now and transaction delays are getting very long.

and you will never hear the failures of ethereum on the main board, you just keep hearing the words flippening and big market cap! and all the while price of ether is dropping hard!

That is a bad sign. But those newbies in Ethereum will learn the truth sooner or later and find out they have been decieved by the shills trying to pump the price.

It is time for everyone to realize that Ethereum has not reached the level of Bitcoin's adoption and yet it has worse problems at scaling.
9054  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Stabilizes at $2,700, Another Surge Imminent? on: June 26, 2017, 11:55:06 AM
Two words: Scaling Solution - the level and magnitude do this event can be compared to the halving.
Just take a look what simple SegWit activation done to Litecoin, wich has been considered to be a stagnant and slowly dying coin.
The price of Litecoin raised from $4 to $45 over 3 months! Imagine what upgrading Bitcoin will do to its price!

I would be happy to take the price increase as a bonus if Segwit is activated, but what would make everyone very happy is if the fees go back to BTC.0001 per transaction.
9055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PLEASE SIGN THE AMAZON BTC PETITION on: June 26, 2017, 11:37:04 AM
This is the second post like this I have seen. So people clearly want more ways to spend their bitcoins.I
Not sure how much it helps but one more adds up I guess ?   Tongue

No, some people see this also as a way to help increase the price of Bitcoin. While I admit that I want the price of Bitcoin to go to $10,000 per coin, this petition is nothing but a desperate move by the OP.

Do not listen to Tone Vays too much. Some of his opinions are too bullish and biased when it comes to Bitcoin. He is a Bitcoin "maximalist", but he tries to help people make informed decisions concerning cryptocurrencies though.
9058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PLEASE SIGN THE AMAZON BTC PETITION on: June 25, 2017, 01:10:52 PM
Gladly signed.

I did too but I am not expecting anything from the whole petition. If you think about it from a business standpoint, there is no need for Amazon to except cryptocurrencies. They have no need for censorship resistance and decentralized payments.
9059  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Software for Poloniex? on: June 24, 2017, 01:34:29 PM
Doing manual trading is much better than anything else. with manual trading we can do the whole action.
Besides we also have control over all the things we will do. Bot trading software will only hamper everything.

That is not true for everyone. It really depends on what your trading style is. If your style is to day trade and do very short trades then having a bot assist you to get in and out of the market really fast will augment your profit, granting you have a winning strategy. It all depends on the trader.
