9061  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BEARISH MARKETS on: March 22, 2019, 07:29:30 AM
Will there truly be another bearish market in July?  Huh

sure it could be. try to avoid holding risks - learn how to trade. that could bring you much more. that can actually bring you much more than nothing (profits of holding)

Lol, if you look at the date when the OP open this thread, it's May 2018 and I'm assuming that he is asking July 2018. However, we are in 2019 already but it seems the bear is still all over the market. And then again July is around the corner and at the rate of the market is going, I wouldn't be surprised if the bearish cycle will continue, although there is a lot of good news around, even the trading volume is going up so let's see. Let's hope that the bulls will comeback and take over the market once and for all.

So just be careful.
9063  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BETA] Coin Watcher - open-source and privacy-oriented crypto portfolio web app on: March 22, 2019, 06:13:49 AM
Thank you for the share. I did some testing on your apps and here is what I found. I added the following coins:

Bitcoin - (BTC)
Etheruem - (ETH)
Infiniverse - (INF)

However, when I try to add another token with the same symbol or ticker as Infiniverse, - (Infinitus (INF), I got an error:

But if you look at coingecko,

There are indeed two ticker symbol INF, (as you are pulling data from coingecko). Perhaps this is just a minor defect, but I guess a fix is needed.

Edit: I also run virustotal and the URL: https://tiramisu77.github.io/CoinWatcher/ is clean.
9064  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Breakout Scheduled for August, Says Fundstrat’s Tom Lee on: March 21, 2019, 08:23:23 AM
I also like Tom Lee's prediction though, obviously he has all the intentions from behind, but in the last couple of his predictions, he seems to be shall we say, his feet is on the ground. He doesn't have that exorbitant predictions as he used to be. He even admitted that there will be no bull-run at the end of his 2018 predictions. But this time, I hope he is right at it seems plausible, at least the way I see it.
9065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Price is not everything! on: March 21, 2019, 07:57:06 AM
Stop thinking about the price for a while and think about the technology and adoption what is happening just now! More and more people are involved in cryptocurrencies, bigger and bigger partnerships are made everyday, better and better news comes everyday and price? Still same? It shows that whales are cumulating why other people who care about the price are selling them their cryptocurrencies for cheap.

I understand your concern but you need to understand that crypto is tradeable, meaning it has value and price so everyone is always thinking that a coin should have a strong and good price and obviously, so that they can make more money. Those selling their crypto for cheap price, doesn't know how to invest, simply as that. Why would you sell your coins if you are going to incur losses? Doesn't make sense at all.
9066  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCap hit $140B is this the start of the next bullrun? on: March 21, 2019, 07:37:34 AM
At this point I would appreciate if some .ore experienced trader or enthusiasts could draw up a series of scenarios of what to expect when we are actually going into a bull run, based up previous experience and the current state of the market.
Not all good news or little rises signify a bull run. We might yet be a long way from a bull run, possibly last two quarters of this year.

I guess there's no need to draw up scenarios because it will always boils down to two: going up/down. Currently, the marketcap is up to 141 billion and volume trading is also spiking in the last couple of days. But it seems there is still no bull run in the horizon. Maybe if we see the price for bitcoin to go to $5k-$6k levels then we can all assume a bull run has started but so far, it just the same pattern all over, just trading sideways and if it reaches the price of $4200 short day traders book their profits, causing the price to fall again.
9067  Economy / Economics / Re: Largest Swiss Online Retailer Digitec Galaxus Now Accepts Crypto on: March 21, 2019, 06:45:47 AM
There is even another news that  Avnet is one of the world’s largest distributors of electronic components and services has already started to accept bitcoin as mode of payment.

https://7bitcoins.com/fortune-500-avnet-starts-accepting-btc-payments-via-bitpay/

This is welcoming news, maybe those companies really wanted to join the hype as well probably make more money when bitcoin price shoots up in the next coming years. So it looks like a win-win situation and hope that more companies will follow suit as well.
9068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 21, 2019, 06:17:29 AM
Looks like OKC is on a slide lately, Toronto beat them in OT 123-114. Westbrook came back strong with 42 points, and tie the score in regulation with a lay-up. Actually they have a chance to win the game, but his 3 was short. And then Toronto took over the OT game and never gave any breathing room for OKC. Siakam lead the way for the Raptors with 33 point together with 13 rebounds.
9069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nasty Sell Walls are killing the free cryptomarket on: March 20, 2019, 07:01:48 PM
But what can we do? It's a free market and everyone has some dirty tricks up their sleeves. As fraudulent as it can be, we can't do anything to stop it. I also been suspecting that bots are really triggering this some kind of "pulling" of the price of most crypto, specially bitcoin. See how it's been struggling to even touch $4k? and now that we touch it, no movement what so ever, maybe they are waiting for something like to go to $4200 before triggering their bots again.

Exactly, this is just sad. However the best way to fight this off is just HODL on our coins and not go with the flow because for sure those manipulators will just eat you alive specially if you are new in this business. And that is why bots are not really recommend for beginners, well its supposedly automatic, but you still need to see the correct parameters But do you know what parameters to set, the answer is that if you have experience trading before, not using any bots but the old fashion way of trading.
9070  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin ETF: SEC Receives 84% Negative Feedback on Application on: March 20, 2019, 06:29:00 PM
Then expect the price of bitcoin to go down once this news spreads like wildfire and I'm sure the twitter world will explode again, thus creating a avalanche of negativity causing others to panic again. But majority really knows that SEC will just give us another rejection because obviously, this market is really prone to manipulation, admit it or not. So I'd say, prepare for the worst again and hope that no one will go on a panic mode (specially noobs), and push the sell button once hearing this news.
9071  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitupper Explorer | Block explorer with unique features on: March 20, 2019, 05:24:35 PM
Very simple interface, I'm a minimalist so I do like it. I don't know if this is difficult to make, but it is possible to add like a timer of the next block halving for both bitcoin and litecoin? I'm sure not everyone is aware of this event and if ever they cross path with your application, they might be interested about the positive effects of halving (might get them an idea to invest more prior to the schedule date, just saying).  Grin
9072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 20, 2019, 05:04:27 PM
I strongly feel that many players do not care about winning,  They play just to collect their millions and give a half hearted attempt at trying.  I don't really blame them, people are struggling to survive and here you are pulling in millions for throwing a ball at a metal rim.

Didn't you know that a certain player needs to reached something to be able to unlock a biggest offer? Yes there is no way they will can easily qualified for a max contract or big salaries.

Therefore they will go for a win or depends on the situation e.g preparing for playoffs, a game where no need to force something , already clinched a spot etc.

Mind sharing your basis for much clearer view for us?

Also if I'm not mistaken, if a team (or player) reaches like playoffs, 1st round and then went as high to the finals, there are more incentives right? So they need to really play hard and win every game. So they really need to care all about winning more than individual awards, to collect more millions in their contract.
9073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / ‘Bitcoin Is Not Money’ Because We Cannot Print It – Banks on: March 20, 2019, 04:36:07 PM
‘Bitcoin Is Not Money’ Because We Cannot Print It – Banks

Quote
“Bitcoin is not money”, the European Central Bank published a statement regarding bitcoin as not being a monetary asset. These words from the bank are immensely harsh for the crypto community. The crypto analyst and investor, Joseph Young suggests that the bank has released the statement as per the crypto assets being unprintable. Though this is an absurd manner to qualify a monetary asset as ‘money’, the bank does praise the technology in the working behind bitcoin. The technology, being the entire crypto protocols, most specifically, decentralization is breakthrough and can make up for some decent projects in the future.

https://blockpublisher.com/bitcoin-is-not-money-because-we-cannot-print-it-banks/

And yet another other attack, but seriously flaw argument coming from banks. But that's fine, hearing this kind of arguments make me think that they are really threaten by crypto and afraid that one day all of them will become obsolete, or least majority of people will go to crypto, specially bitcoin.
9074  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Verdict Due In Mt. Gox Bitcoin Case on: March 19, 2019, 07:05:01 AM

Now justice has been served, happy to see that there are real action from this abusing others and it also good to know that cryptonians has a chance of having justice

But is not the justice that we wanted to see. It's kinda joke to be honest, Mark has really did a lot of damage, just look at how massively the money involved in this heist. But I guess, Japanese court really didn't find anything specially about the embezzlement case against him, so we will be scot free, unfortunately. So for me personally, justice is not served in this case.
9075  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading. on: March 17, 2019, 08:10:20 AM
Excessive confidence means he ready to take any risk that will come. It is what trader must have, because if we always doubt with what we want to act, we will lose chance in trading especially in big volume coin.

Correct, you need to take that risk, but always remember that it's a different risk that we are talking here, it's not the risk when gambling though. Risk here can be mitigate as compare to gambling wherein you excessive confidence will surely bring you losses. So that's the big difference between the risk taken here and in gambling.

Quote
Is excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading better than doubt and fear, or is it a big drawback?

Choosing between the two I would choose excessive confidence because this will make you very optimistic.
You have the confidence so even if the market is not progressing in terms of value, you will still continue to believe and this helps avoid loses.

Doubt and fear will only result to one thing, it's panic selling which you already loss at that point.

I will also choose excessive confidence here in tradng. If I have doubts or questions in my mind, I would rather step up and not trade as all, otherwise if may end up at a loss somewhere along the way.
9076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: March 17, 2019, 07:48:16 AM
Today's game Oklahoma City Thunder vs Warriors

I'll be backing GSW to win this game, I however will be going for moneyline instead of any pointspread.

Warriors ML

Still no Durant in this game, I like your instinct, you really trust the warriors against the OKC.
Like what they did to the Rockets, they are already up double digit now in the first quarter so you have a good chance to win this bet.

Right, they proved that Curry and Thompson can lead GSW, they demolished a good team tonight and it shows that whatever happens next season (if Durant decided to leave and if Thompson stays), they are still the team to beat. I also like what they did to the Rockets, good defense in the last minute or so. So it's a combination of offense early and try to hold of a team in the crucial minutes.
9077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin Movie “Crypto” Shows Hollywood’s Total Misguidedness on: March 17, 2019, 06:18:16 AM
What do you expect this is a "Hollywood movie" so everything portray is far from the truth. Even historical movies most of the times are construed, to give that cinematic effect. So I'm not surprised with those" misguidedness" in the movies specially regarding the dark side of using bitcoin.
9078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 17, 2019, 05:57:36 AM
Interesting matchup for today's game between Golden State Warrior vs Oklahoma City Thunder (OKC Homecourt advantage). I'll still go for Golden State Warriors this time since Warriors defeated the Rockets from their last game.

You, who do you think will win this match?
My bet is on Warriors this time even I'm not a fan of them but in regards with past outcomes we can already presume on whose the winner.  Grin

Warriors seem to be dominating now, though it's played on the KYC court but warriors just shooting well especially in the 1st quarter where they score 41 points. This could be another victory for the warriors if the OKC will not rally in the 2nd half, it's very dangerous for any opponent if warriors are shooting very well.
Up by 20 points now and still doing well, GSW showing the old ways they are been lifted by splash brothers and the rest really doing well rotated,
big chance for those who bets for as GSW might win this with big leads, lets see if how George and Westbrook will adjust and try to win this making
a big comeback with less than 15 mins left in this game.
OKC has no answer, again the Splash brother are very well tonight.
Thompson already have 20+ points while Curry with 30+ and we are just at the start of the 4th quarter, more scores to come for these two.

Westbrook stats is hilarious, 1-15 shooting so far.  Grin - No triple double tonight or even double double.

88-110 for the Golden State Warriors, 33 and 23 respectively for Curry and Thompson. Westbrook is really struggling specially is shooting percentage went down hard in the last two games. Looks like GSW is turning the heat in this regular games and showing everyone who is the team to beat again.
9079  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New P2P market exchange ether for BTC on: March 16, 2019, 06:44:15 AM
I give up, I try to look at the website, but it seems loading to long, a sign that the people behind are not really interested to make their platform a good service to use. It can also lead to scams as well, so I'm not trusting this exchange and I hope that newbies will not fall for it. And just look at the comments above me, lol, I really don't understand those people behind, they will try to scam you as much as they can and then exit. And the next day, they will open another platform, rinse and repeat, so just be careful out there.
9080  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does Bitcoin coalesce among whales during the bottom? on: March 16, 2019, 06:15:10 AM
The bottoming out phase is the time for smart money to accumulate bitcoin. So far we are 4 months into this market cycle's bottom.

But at least the price didn't go below $3k as many have speculated specially when we touched $3100-$3200 last November.

Surely whales out there must be accumulating massive amounts of bitcoin from the traders and the people dumb enough to sell now. Do you think that the bottom of the market cycle basically just moves a bunch of bitcoin into whales hands? Whereas the mania phase at the end of a bull run is when those whales redistribute their bottom-bought bitcoin to the hungry masses buying about-to-crash bitcoin?

We may call those noobs who sell at the bottom because they believed it will still go down. But I'm sure they learn some expensive lessons along the way. It will be a continues cycle though, but the thing is that you should learn a thing or two and become smarter so that you can be one day became a whale yourself. Grin
