The time to quit gambling is before you start.
I disagree, but oh well, I have gambled before, so I guess that is the gambler speaking.

Voted and a little bump, because this stuff is interesting. I'm 19 by the way.

-329  sucks to be you.

If you think the -329 sucks, check out the rest of the story.

What story?

Mechs is walking along casually and decides to make a paper wallet. Mechs gets bored with said paper wallet and throws it into the dumpster.

Mechs is walking along casually with a significant amount of money invested in just-dice. One day, a whale named nakowa comes along and makes mechs lose a bunch of money on his investment. Mechs decides to withdraw his deposit out of frustration.

Turns out, Mechs withdraws his deposit of over 1600 BTC to the paper wallet he threw out. After spending a while in despair, Mechs decides that he might as well literally dumpster dive to search for the paper wallet, and whaddayano he actually finds the thing. Mechs decides to take this newfound old money and gamble it on just-dice in a euphoria laced moment after he found the wallet. With alot of luck, Mechs turns his 1600-1700 btc into I think like 7000 BTC. Mechs then decides to gamble all of his money (7000) at 96% odds, a gamble that he loses.
And that is the ending of a sad story. He was a gambler who didn't knew when to quit.

774.99 EUR global average volgens BitcoinAverage (zonder Mt.Gox). Het is dus zeker 60 euro gedaald.

I've shut down the website for now in order to resolve that deposits problem, the service will go online later today
Reeeead.

Hmmm.

@assorted.goods,

In what tier does my faucet go? I do my own payments, have a PeerBet withdrawal method, give away 10 to 700 satoshi's every hour (when I have funds) and you have a 1 out of 10 chance to get a price win (which currently triples your payout).

9092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Black Friday - Let's spend those hoarded bitcoins! on: November 29, 2013, 06:08:59 PM
And where does it say that LiteCoin can handle more transactions then Bitcoin? It doesn't matter that LiteCoin has "faster" transaction. It needs to have more confirmations then Bitcoin before it gets accepted.

EDIT: Changing your post and removing the Litecoin part doesn't help.

Loving it dude! There is so much to see and buy! Damn. I never knew that there were so many shops accepting Bitcoins.
9094  Local / Beurzen / Re: Bitcoins verkopen via Bitonic.nl on: November 29, 2013, 02:42:41 PM
9095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy must be going mad, he lost 4 Million Pounds worth of Bitcoins on: November 29, 2013, 02:41:33 PM
The guy supposedly works in IT and he:

1. Failed to keep any HDD backup;
2. Threw out the old HDD without checking it first;
3. Failed to destroy the HDD before throwing it out.

So if the story is to be believed he is some IT guy.
Because of these reasons I think it's a fake story and he just tries to get some Bitcoins from others.

It must be true, i saw him on the BBC news, youre not suggesting the BBC make up stories are you!  Grin
Not sure if that is sarcasm. Did you know that most papers just copy stuff from others and publish it as there own? It has been tested and proved in The Netherlands with fake articles.

Actually this story can be found in a UK daily newspaper. He has no involvement with any Bitcoin forum and has not asked for any donations. There must be a thousand and one hard luck stories with having lost Bitcoins or sold cheaply. He is not unique.
The article I read had an donation address. And being in a newspaper doesn't say anything, you know that right?

Is dat niet goed dan?
Jawel, natuurlijk.

Oh god. Mijn hart mensen.

Kopen verhoogt prijs, lijkt me.

Tongue
