We talked about Brooklyn Nets here too many times and highlight their lack of scorers besides Kyrie and Durant. Now they fill that gap with one of the best players in NBA. We have a new super-team in NBA now guys.

I have no doubts that Durant and Harden will share ball and play good together. Nets looks very strong now after this trade. I'm patiently waiting their first games.
When would be his debut game with the Brooklyn? I'm sure he missed playing with his former mate on Oklahoma before and now they're back together, they really are stronger this time.

They've played today although haven't seen him, still they won the game against Knicks.

Its also just weird that even though most of the superteams are being formed because of this cuts other players are receiving in their salary but its also another good thing because it just shows that some players are willing to receive this cuts just to make their team better. I guess the debut would be once the trade clears up with most teams involve. Its a 4 team trade from the news that I have read and Oladipo is still being looked to be traded.

People are saying they should trade Kyrie for Westbrook and get the original OKC 3 back together.

Nobody can say Harden is chasing money, that's for sure.  On top of passing up a contract extension that would have made him the first NBA player to make $50+ million per year, going to New Jersey is costing him something like $17 million dollars in additional taxes on his current contract...  He's leaving behind a boatload to get out of Houston.

I don't think anyone wants Harden in Houston anymore.  His toxicity would go great in New Jersey with Kyrie though.  They should make it happen and give us a finals to remember.

"Reporting with @RamonaShelburne
: Brooklyn is acquiring Houston’s James Harden in a blockbuster deal, sources tell ESPN."

Ask and you shall receive! LOL

This is totally lame that Harden is getting what he wants, but it seems like a best for all involved scenario.  One thing is for certain, the Nets just became the heavy favorites in the East and I'll definitely be watching some of their games this year.  Hopefully we get the LeBron vs Kyrie Finals matchup we've so desperately craved since Kyrie left Cleveland.

Is nobody gonna talk about the fact LeBron was bet his 3 pointer wasn’t going to go in mid-shot, then turned around and said, “bet” as it went in? Legendary... He was having way too much fun against the Rockets yesterday.

This was a really fun Bron coming back. Their game against the Rockets made it also clear that Harden wanted out of Houston maybe because he also thinks something is wrong with the team. Its also notable that LeBron is somehow racking his stats this past few games compared to his earlier games this season and its still clear that Lakers can win another Chip.

Ya, Harden and Wall's press conferences after the game were pretty wild.  The last time I've seen a teammate superstar bash another superstar was Kobe getting on Shaquille for being out of shape.  Pretty crazy to see.  If I was John Wall I'd be rightfully pissed though.  I don't think anyone wants Harden in Houston anymore.  His toxicity would go great in New Jersey with Kyrie though.  They should make it happen and give us a finals to remember.

God loves you Vod.  Know that the despair you feel won't last forever and you will be forgiven someday for your lies and deceit.

Went 2-2 totaling 8-6 so far.  Todays 5 bets:

1) bucks/magic under 225.5
2) knicks +4.5
3) suns/wizards over 231
4) Portland -5
5) bucks -5.5

Good luck to everyone today.  Go knicks

Edit:dallas/pel game is postponed

Went 3-2 last night to bring my week up to 11-8 over the past 4 nights.  Will check out today's games and come back with today's 5 picks.

Here's my picks for the night, feel free to comment and/or critique them:

1) nets, den over 230.5
2) miami +9
3) Lakers-5.5
4) GS -3
5) gs, pacers over 227.5

What do ya'll think?

I don’t really like your #4 & #5 but maybe I’m underestimating the GS Warriors, who have looked pretty decent lately. I would normally hate your #2 pick, but I think the 6ers are still playing with a skeleton crew so that might be a good bet.

Oops. Looks like Ben Simmons and Joel Embid got approved to be back in the lineup. Great game. Somewhat a surprise Philly was able to pull out a win.

What’s going on with Kyrie Irving and at what point should the league step in? Kyrie is completely disrespecting league covid rules, not keeping his coach in the loop, and seems to be continuing his downward spiral. I can’t imagine just not showing up for work and not giving my boss a reason. I think Kyrie deserves a fine and possibly a suspension without pay to give him a reality check. He’s locker room poison and Steve Nash is having his coaching skills tested right off the bat.
9090  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Lt. General Thomas McInerney: Covid19 was a biological attack on: January 12, 2021, 11:57:03 PM
I thought it was a common belief that the virus was let out by accident in Wuhan, or I’ve heard conspiracies that the Chinese let it out purposely to help solve their aging population issues. I guess that could count as a biological attack, but if true it would be an attack on themselves. I don’t believe this is something they did to attack others and I’m not so sure it was done purposely, but you never know. Like, literally, we will never know the truth.

Now they're trying to impeach him while he's walking out the door...  This is the kind of immature back and forth pathetic bullshit I never thought I'd see in the US government.  Trump is an asshole, sure.  This petty move from the democrats is only adding fuel to the fire that is burning America's reputation.  Pelosi is a child with a grudge, and it's so sad to see this level of maturity from our elected leaders.  They're politicians for god's sake.  All they have to do is not act like children, but here we are.  You could expect this type of pettiness from business leaders, but politicians?  Pathetic.

It does have a purpose, though. It prevents him running again in 2024.
Still, not sure it's a good idea, or what effect this will have on an already riled-up Trump fanbase. Actually, forget that, I am sure of the effect. Expect a gun-totin' outing to the Capitol.

Yes, this is the only reason to impeach him.  They are doing it out of fear that he would win an honest election in 2024.  Decisions based on fear are almost never the right one to make.  I'll say it again, America used to be the home of the brave, but we're being run by cowardly politicians now and it is being reflected in our daily lives.  Not just towards Trump, but towards everything.
9093  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buying crypto with Zelle on: January 12, 2021, 09:08:17 PM
Is sending money from your bank account using Zelle to buy crypto on a P2P site considered safe? How anonymous can it be?

How does anonymous enter this picture? Zelle isn’t the least bit anonymous. When using a trusted site like localbitcoins (is that still a thing) it’s safe, but far from anonymous.

Vod, I feel sorry for you. The more I learn about you and your situation, the more pity I feel for you. If attacking me with lies brings some sort of happiness to your miserable life, then I’m glad to be a part of it. I hope you find peace someday soon. My life is way too awesome to continue interacting with such misery and negativity. Good luck with whatever you’re trying to accomplish.

What’s everyone’s preferred methods for watching all these games? I see NBATV, league pass, Hulu, TNT, etc. all offering some sort of way to watch games, but it seems insane to pay for all of these different services. Anyone have any thoughts on the best way to watch the most NBA games without breaking the bank?
9096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Where are the GPUs? Tips welcome. on: January 11, 2021, 10:23:18 PM
I’ve been trying to get my hands on a 5700xt or 3080 at msrp for a while now with no luck. I admittedly haven’t put in much work other than searching websites and clicking the alert me when in stock button, so I’m wondering if anyone out there has some tips or tricks to get their hands on these GPUs. Feel free to share your success stories going forward as we all fight each other for available stock like it’s Black Friday and the doors just swung open. Thanks!
9097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 11, 2021, 10:08:15 PM
I voted the Lakers to be the first team to 20 wins. They’re leading the league with 8 wins now and their team is healthy so it seems like the obvious choice to me. Although I’d be surprised if they ended the season with the best record.
9098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Arbitrage on sports bets? on: January 11, 2021, 10:05:03 PM
Well make sure the bookies do not catch you on arbitrage betting. They do not like betters who do this kind of activities. For them gambling is a fun not to make money. If you find a way to make money then they will restrict you because they have a business to run LOL

This state of affairs pisses me off - why shouldn't bookmakers just follow the rules and just run their business (mathematics is on their side anyway and they will always be in profit). What's the point in looking for and banning successful players? It seems to me that this greatly affects the image of betting and bookmakers.

I don’t think legitimate bookmakers would get mad about this. They want you to place bets. Only fly by night operations seem like they’d punish users for using their service if they feel like they might not make money from them.

I think it sets a pretty good precedent: If a president tries to stay in power after losing the election by organizing an event that ends up turning into basically a terrorist attack intended to keep him in power, on the capital, while congress is in session...that's an impeachable offense, and you shouldn't expect a free pass on impeachable offenses just because you're already on the way out the door.

Take Trump out of the equation and imagine it's AOC or Biden.  I don't think you're calling it petty then.

It’s petty no matter who is doing it. They’re making America look worse to try and get one last dig in despite the fact that it’s a meaningless gesture meant to embarrass someone and hurt their legacy. It’s shameful. Not saying Trump wouldn’t do the same nonsense if their positions were reversed, the dude is an asshole. It just goes to show how worthless these so called leaders are. I’ve long thought you’d get a better president randomly choosing someone out of the phone book. Maybe instead of focusing on trying to make America look worse, they could do their jobs and try to save the massive demolition of small businesses they’ve created by having absolutely no bravery in times of supposed crisis.
