9081  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: weird drop in bitcoin price on coinmarket cap for one hour on: March 08, 2019, 11:47:57 AM
As some have said above, it's weird, yes. It's unusual yes. But it's not rare. It does happen from time to time, on any platform. I've used several and in the past when I used to really spend hours every day just staring at the live markets, you could see even for a second or so some very weird crashes, but when you tried to pull up the historical chart again, you wouldn't see it.

Just a bug, or perhaps even a very sharp order filled but at such low volumes that it doesn't record on chart times. One hour is a long time though... you should have made a video.
9082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your past experience will always be an added advantage on: March 08, 2019, 11:14:28 AM
Any kind of experience is good. May be in crypto or maybe outside crypto. However, this experience makes a man perfect trader and speculator in trading. During my internship, I have met one stock trader who was one of the 20-30 people who didn't get loss in a big drop in our local stock market. This is because of his experience. He was aware that market will get crashed and he got out of the market before two months of the crash and his speculation came true.

This is something I'll always back up. Any experience is good experience. In fact, sometimes the bad experience is the best. I've gotten scammed and ripped off in the past. I've even got infected by viruses and had my email password stolen because I was stupid enough to download stuff and install without checking.

Bought crypto without thinking much about the risk? Lost almost 100% of value from a shitcoin? Been there, done that.

All those mistakes teach me something, and I'm grateful for them.
9083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops on: March 08, 2019, 09:50:23 AM
Airdrops are hit and miss. More miss than hit. If I look back on my portfolio of airdrops, it's really funny to see some of the best performing ones I got with the least effort, either by contributing useful criticisms of their project of course and credit to the developer for rewarding me. Some of the ones I had to sign up for and do this and do that, worth zero til today.

The best even are those who airdropped without me knowing anything at all. So my point is, don't waste your time unless you're actually going to use the token.
9084  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $9,000 by the end of the year on: March 08, 2019, 09:02:12 AM
This isn't just wishful thinking, there are a lot of great signs in the market that point the way for Bitcoin to hit $9,000 by the end of the year:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIX2O6C6bWs&feature=youtu.be

I don't know about you, but any form of speculation is really some way of wishful thinking, to me anyway.

Guys like Tom Lee maybe use some kind of TA and other insightful analysis, but at the end of the day, you can look back at all his predictions for 2018 and realize that he was just being a hopeful speculator like the rest of us.

CNBC too, those guys are funny, do opposite of what they say and you make profit.
9085  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - 🎲 Crypto Casino 🎰 Multi-Currency | Rainbot | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: March 08, 2019, 06:46:47 AM
It's important tip for new gamblers.
Getting free small amount of coins from rain bot.
Then, using them to gamble for learning, getting experience before really make deposits and officially gambling.  Smiley

I think rain and faucets are always useful to entice new players to try the game and see how it works yes, but there really is nothing like having your own money to really have a proper good time. I'm not even talking much. Imagine if you walk into a casino, and decide you know what I'll buy $10 worth of chips or change to coins if you want to play at those coins casinos, you could have a good 30 minutes of fun.

$10 in Bitcoin is right now about 260,000 satoshi. I can play with that for hours and test different strategies. Can't do that with rain.
9086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2018-2019 on: March 08, 2019, 06:14:39 AM
If I was an Arsenal fan (I’m obviously not) I’d be pissed off tonight but confident that they can still qualofy for the 1/4 final. They only need to win 2-0 at home to advance & I think they will.

Wonder what odds they are to qualify.

I'm not an Arsenal fan but it is frustrating to see a good side lose like that to a not so good side. The red card shouldn't really be an excuse they still have enough star quality to win, but I guess they are still finding their way around in Europe. They played and won almost every game until the last stage, so maybe it's just a case of tiredness but they don't have other games except the league now.

They can easily win 3-0 at home too, I agree. But all the way is tough.
9087  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is kaboomracks a legit reseller of used mining hardware? on: March 07, 2019, 03:10:30 PM
It doesn't actually matter if the guy's a reseller with trust or no trust. Just get an escrow from the forum if you don't know anyone, they'll charge at maximum 5%, which is a hell lot of an insurance for something this big of an investment. You want to spend money on hardware, even cheaper second-hand rigs, then you want peace of mind. And yes, read the trust comments. Sometimes, the score isn't reflective of the actual trading reputation.
9088  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🚀 Micro Exchange with Poker & Dice & Roulette 🔥🚀 on: March 07, 2019, 11:24:32 AM
Okay, seems like a good process. Just want to note spelling error in "Registered!" once you signed up a username. I clicked on verification link from email but didn't see any confirmation that I was verified, but it seems I am already at Level 1 so I guess I'm good to go.

Not sure the poker will do well because you have verification Level 2 there. Will poker ever require you to complete it? KYC verification is a big no-no for crypto gambling I must say.

Registered for the 2pm game, which is late evening my time, in a few hours. See if I can stay late!
9089  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is really hopeful about the future of Bitcoin and why? on: March 07, 2019, 09:16:10 AM
Who is really hopeful about the future of Bitcoin and why?
Those one who bought it at highest price Smiley They have no choice other than waiting for new big pump to level money losses and perhaps to get a profit.

I think almost all crypto enthusiasts are very hopeful on Bitcoin since it symbolizes a radical revolution that could empower even an ordinary man and of course we all saw an ever increasing adoption with it worldwide that we can assume it is slowly influencing the way we live.  I also think more people are getting optimistic with its future so as with other cryptos.

Here we can see two types of people. The realist who knows that the majority of people even here on this forum were all in this for the money, and so may people bought Bitcoin way past the current price of $3800. After all we're talking here in the Economixs section where Speculation is. Look back on people's post history and you can see guys who bought even at near ATH.

Then the nonsense people who talks about radical revolution yet probably never spent a single bitcoin on anything.

Sometimes, I feel like nobody really does anything crypto except trade.
9090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Get Rich Quick - Bitcoin on: March 07, 2019, 07:44:10 AM
Thanks for the inspiration OP. Only, I would still caution about this idea that profit is guaranteed. I still get terrible looks from people who know I use Bitcoin even to buy stuff online. They all tell me to be careful and I tell them I know, but how to blame them if they always see it as being advertised as how to get rich quick?

I do hope for the sake of those who entered at 20k that you're right and that they are patient. But they must be hated by people who followed them. I feel bad for these guys!
9091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will the price of coin be up soon? on: March 07, 2019, 07:10:42 AM
It's too early to say the price of coins will soon rise, because of the evidence, market conditions are still contaminated by a prolonged decline, and even the value tends to be stagnant. In my opinion holding's better than selling, but besides that there's still better to complete the action of holding you will do, namely by making a purchase.
If you need evidence and yesterday the price has been showing a bullish trend but it's not so big to recover the lost. Buy is much better than holding or trade it. Holding is not good as you said when the market turns into the bearish trend.

I wouldn't say contamination actually, because some people actually believe this correction has been a long time coming and THIS today is the correct price to be at. I would actually agree, in all honesty. I mean how can some coins with zero use and utility be even worth a dollar? XRP 30 cents but who on earth is using it?

So I don't think we can rightly call this waiting for recovery. We are waiting now for growth,
9092  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why does Binance seem to fluctuate more than Coinbase? on: March 06, 2019, 11:16:48 AM
Because there is far less active traders on Coinbase, I feel. It is a lot more competitive on Binance and of course, much more international, as you don't have the whole Asian market on Coinbase.

But you are only looking at one particular timeframe. Coinbase has very big swings and fluctuations too. Google the Bitcoin Cash - Coinbase scandal. That didn't happen on Binance.
9093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People who gamble are degenerates, change my mind. on: March 06, 2019, 09:54:44 AM
I know my statement may sound pretty hostile on this part of the board, though I'm not talking about the person who will buy a superbowl box or makes a friendly bet with someone over one big game. I think the degenerates are the people sitting around gambling on every game they can possibly gamble on.

I have friends like this, people that will gamble on Mexican Womens Tennis if they can win (or most likely lose) some money on the game. It's a crushing addicition that we've normalized in our culture to make it seem like it's just apart of life. It shouldn't be, and children at a young age should be stopped from gambling until they know the horrible outcomes that gambling can cause. I support every effort by regulators to stem out the bad actors in the gambling field in order to stop children from being hooked on this.

I'd like one of you to change my mind, or at least make me think different about gambling. Because as of right now, I have a pretty negative view on it.

Yes, your statement sounds pretty hostile, why did you say it like that? Also, I think you make a good point but also an inaccurate one. Some gamblers are addicted so they bet on everything. Others are addicted but only to one form of gambling or one type of game and then spend their life savings to chase losses or win big. Some just like buying 1 set of numbers for every lottery draw. Are all these degenerates of equal nature?

Every human habit and action has a good and bad side. Gambling is probably correctly called a vice but if it keeps people out of trouble without making them lose life savings, how bad can it be?
9094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Casino Affiliate Marketing Tips on: March 06, 2019, 08:10:13 AM
Right, a traffic-generating website will give you much advantage. Without a website, probably all you can refer to a casino are your family members and friends, not to mention than some affiliate programs impose a minimum required number of new depositing referrals per month.

If you have a website, you have greater chances of getting people you don't even know into clicking through your affiliate links.

Maybe I don't have the full information here, but I have met a few affiliates in the early days who told me that most of their referrals came by word of mouth. This is to say, it was because people heard from others about the casino, and simply visited the site, that the referrer made, and joined from there.

It wasn't like they actually had a lot of traffic, just that it was a simple page and people signed up from reference.

I guess youtube videos of gamblers also work this way.
9095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is DASH still a good long term viable project? on: March 05, 2019, 06:06:04 PM
Of course, without any hesitation Dash is good for investment. You can invest on DASH because of some reason.
Reasons is, 15th rank of coinmarketcap. And It is listed more than 200+ pairs. People using Das for trading and investing a lot of. So I think it can be good near future.
For short term investment or day trading, I don’t think dash is advisable as you think sir, have you taken time to study their market for that past 12 months ?

It’s only advisable to invest in this type of coin that has lots of uncertainties if it’s for a very LONG TERM investment, there are so many coin like DASH too that I have but I don’t see them as a get rich quick cash as it may take a very long time to double even the investment if it will ever happen, the highest they can go is 150% ROI in years.

The guy's advising on market cap and on the trends of it being used for trading and investing a lot. Could say the same just about for every currency currently in CMC top 15?

Dash is definitely a long termer. A lot of quiet movement now in South America, especially in Venezuela. Maybe once the new president is properly installed all those merchants get a chance to do real business, and you'll see Dash come up properly. Sort of like what darkmarkets did for Monero.
9096  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: March 05, 2019, 04:02:13 PM
Funny that I logged in and saw my stupid faucet coins balances were still there, even though I kept getting emails saying they would be removed. Couldn't do anything about them. Too small to liquidate on BTC market, and not worth the bother to install my own wallet to download blockchain and sync and all those problems.

April. Check back again April.
9097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Top 5 Exchanges on: March 05, 2019, 10:49:40 AM
I think there are top 5 such good exchanges between Cryptocurrency exchanges
There are Poloniex and HitBTC it's a great deal of binens and Waves Dex and Huobi Pro are very good exchange.
the exchange you mentioned is not included in the best 5 exchanges, Poloniex and HitBTC have a smaller volume now not in the top 5 anymore, Binens ? you mean Binance ? Binance is the No. 1 Exchanger for now, Waves Dex Not Much Volume and for Huobi also not including the 5 best exchanger

Poloniex hasn't been a strong contender since early last year, can't believe anyone is still trying to use them now. That's completely their fault though, they were a really good exchange until their customer support got so shitty and then everyone left. Binance will probably end up like that too if they grow at the current rate without expanding their team of customer service.

Waves is something I use too, but their volume is very, very slowly increasing so I wouldn't give up on them.
9098  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to rise above the price of $ 4000?? on: March 05, 2019, 09:43:15 AM
I see something heavy and maybe difficult, when the price of bitcoin will touch $ 4000, then drop dramatically down. In your opinion, what is happening with the current condition of bitcoin. Is it because of the market that hasn't really recovered? or is there bad news?
Bitcoin is trying to break a channel that has been established since December last year when big market players dumped it below $4000. This has created a resistance around $4255 and whenever it moves close there is that great resistance from the bear.  It will break the channel but it has to be during important news.

That's the general consensus around Bitcoin, and if you check all the trading channels they were even encouraging people to take profit around 4100, so with all that pressure to sell even from the so-called trader whales, it's going to be really difficult for the buyers to establish some momentum.

I don't think news really affects it anymore, but for sure, if good news maybe like Bakkt arrives as buyers are ready, we'll see the movement we've been waiting for.
9099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another trap for ETH? on: March 04, 2019, 11:44:26 AM
I'm not the biggest ETH supporter, I do own some after deciding that I will keep some Ether despite really disliking everything about the project, and I'm down 70% (bought at $400).

I did think it was a bit surprising that after the successful hard fork, price is going down. The delay caused price to go up. So it tells me still a lot of speculators playing around. Long way to $400!
9100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOs are really the future of ICOs? on: March 04, 2019, 11:07:23 AM
I think yes, most people who want to raise money or capital will be forced to do STOs, if they still want a token model, but more important than making it a security, they will need to design a good token model.

STO means complying with regulations, but a caution for all is that being legal doesn't mean scam-free. Remember Enron;)
