9101  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Support a Bailout for (MT)Gox.com on: February 26, 2014, 03:47:42 AM
Sorry if you lost you bitcoins but I feel it would be better to let mtgox fail. That way, we can show the world that in the Bitcoin wild west, there is no "too big to fail". When we come back out of this mess, people will think, "Hey, I think this Bitcoin thing is something serious, maybe I should learn about it." The next time a big exchange would get in trouble, it would have lesser impact on the price since people know Bitcoin don't care. Look at the time when China banned bitcoins. There was a huge sell off. However, when Russia followed by completely banning bitcoins, there was hardly a dump. Let's move on and show Bitcoin is unstoppable.

The strangest part was that China was the one who was eating all the Bitcoins last night
Max Keiser posted a link

as well you can cut your printed keys in a half and place them in two secure different places Smiley

so even if someone will find one of it he will not be able to use your keys without other part of your printout Smiley

Just make sure its not your wife who holds the other half or you might need to watch out when your sleeping at night XDDDD

yes ... you can always place them in some deposit boxes in a bank or @ postoffice Smiley

anyway there will be never 100% safe way to keep it Smiley

Brainwallet I guess just don't suffer Amnesia (No 100% Safe Way but you can get quite close)

Dude you are crying over 2BTC. If you head over to btc reddit, people are screaming about their 200, 500, 2500 BTCs Tongue

2500 BTC?!?!?! that is like only 4 slices of pizza right?   Huh Huh Huh Huh

The pizza was more expensive but I think that was worth a few slices
9106  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Support a Bailout for (MT)Gox.com on: February 26, 2014, 03:31:57 AM
Nope It's not like the Bitcoins can print themselves  Grin
9107  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why are people defending MTGox? on: February 26, 2014, 03:28:12 AM
I can see MtGox coming back. But what will be the most puzzling thing will be the people that still use that exchange.

I very much doubt we've exhausted the worlds supply of idiots, given that only a very small percentage of the population even use Bitcoin

Just put it in a rap song I'm sure some people will remember this
You Just Got Mt. Goxed!

9108  Economy / Gambling / Re: MODS: WE NEED A PONZI SECTION NOW! on: February 25, 2014, 08:44:50 PM
I think we're going to need a separate subsection just to put these type of mods we need a ponzi section threads in Cheesy. I agree that if they're allowed to be advertised they should be moved to a separate section though.

I nominate Tradefortress Pirate and Inaba to run this ahem section XD

What is the best way to contact friedcat about changing the dividend payout adres of my direct shares?

I had it set to my gox account and need to change that now.

Send him a PM with your signing address asking to switch the payout location
(Believe that is the proper procedure)
9110  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think BTC will hit $200? on: February 25, 2014, 08:22:55 PM
Haha, we're about to reach rock bottom again, by the looks of it.
Btc price is sub 500 dollars even with bitstamp, that currently seems to be the highest.
Was about 420 earlier.
So yeah OP we might reach 200 soon enough. Smiley

It's still pretty funny though that were looking at this from July of last year and its still over 200% from that estimate and going our investment sucks XD

Does anyone else notice that Zigmas, Koplea and Hurei are posting -very- oddly.
Quote things, add 2-3 semi unrelated words.
One of them even commented the topic title and added a "wow".
Are these bots?

Yes, they are all bots. Already reported em a while back.

I'm asking again,
can anyone be kind enough to provide us with a link to the video if it is somewhere online Smiley

Sombody posted the video in this thread.

I think he was talking about the full version not the 5 minute Teaser Trailer sent it to if you want to independently verify this content Tongue
Seeing your fast response ^^

I think there are a bunch of them actually with the newbie restrictions released that or someone planning to sell these bitcointalk accounts later but that's my speculation, forget the link now but Theymos at one time or another put a URL to see what the newbies post for easy reporting its worse in some sections than others so the mods are a bit overloaded.

Think I have it so just PM me for it whistle Smiley
Edit in PM sent one is FLV other one has ads
9115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US freaks out on MT. Gox meanwhile China hoards all the coins.... on: February 25, 2014, 06:56:32 PM

Yes, that is Magic The Gathering (Online Exchange) card!

The hoarding card indeed, defeat it and I wonder what rare item it gives out XD
9116  Economy / Speculation / Re: people hold on to your coins on: February 25, 2014, 12:03:03 PM
I think this a great time to buy some bitcoins, although I'm sure some people would appreciate some Zhoutong right about now
So here you go
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NG1qooBzE2w

do u know that zhoutong owns an exchaneg in australia called CoinJar and he is doing really well? Although he scammed so many people. Mark Karpeles will also be v successful in his next venture after all this is over.

In this world, success means you need to be a fucking ahole.

sorry for nitpicking, just for the record:

AFAIK, Zhoutonged (@youtube) ≠ Zhou Tong (infamous scammer)
(name probably was chosen because of the expression "zhoutonged" similar to "goxxed"

Ah so X is not equal thanks interesting to know though but I think your right that recent rap was like I was wondering when I would get to do gox
9117  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Poll: Do you actually believe Mt.Gox lose the money? on: February 25, 2014, 10:23:52 AM
I voted yes then realized the question can be read two ways
Yes Gox Stole the Money Aka Lose it
No I believe they lied and did steal it ^^

My fault Shocked , I was wondering why so many choose the first one.  That explain it!

It happens it makes it a win win though I guess in that people will think they voted the right choice Cheesy
9118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US freaks out on MT. Gox meanwhile China hoards all the coins.... on: February 25, 2014, 10:22:10 AM
is it possible someone else is buying through china? why chinese buy so much suddenly?

They see a sale although I am enjoying the China pacman affect
Its like nom nom nom more coins
9119  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox just verified me! on: February 25, 2014, 10:16:57 AM
Glad to hear they still have time to accept new member into their great community. I mean you are so lucky to be verified.

You may be the chosen one (Aka the last approved member of Gox XD)
9120  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why are people defending MTGox? on: February 25, 2014, 09:27:31 AM
I can see MtGox coming back. But what will be the most puzzling thing will be the people that still use that exchange.

I can see this scenario as well since they were able to cover their holdings by acquiring bitcoins at lower prices if they decide to remain an exchange that is.

The other scenario of a full on retreat is also highly likely.
