Is there a pool for mining litecoins without having to register an account? The user name would be just the litecoin address where the litecoins will go. A bit like 50BTC (no need to register): cgminer -o stratum+tcp://pool-de.50btc.com:3333 -u 1CerjKRRy7fXZUbH9BAM9GfCoMiTUKmkVa -p testaus -o stratum+tcp://pool-us.50btc.com:3333 -u 1CerjKRRy7fXZUbH9BAM9GfCoMiTUKmkVa -p testaus -o stratum+tcp://pool-ru.50btc.com:3333 -u 1CerjKRRy7fXZUbH9BAM9GfCoMiTUKmkVa -p testaus --disable-rejecting --verbose --shares 10 --sharelog sharelog.txt Is there a service likes this for litecoins? https://50btc.com/api/1CerjKRRy7fXZUbH9BAM9GfCoMiTUKmkVap2pool.org

As a newbie I wanted to see some transactions in my wallet without spending money on an exchange. Just to get a feeling how this bitcoin thing is working. Afer playing around with various sites I would say bitvisitor is the only one that is working reliable and is easy to understand (e.g. not overloaded with ads etc.): http://www.bitvisitor.com/I have a site that will let you go from one faucet to another. I use it in conjunction with BitVisitor as well, . http://coinfaucets.tkSince BV has 5 minute timers, you can knock out all the faucets in one or two BV sites. Then the site will keep up with your cooldowns so you know when you can hit the faucets again.

Soon before the lottery there will be a thread on their forums. Post your address there and then go to the chat.

I'm referring to is your count of 5 wins + 3 losses
I can make 100 bets and none of them have a result yet so I would have 100 bets with 0 wins and 0 losses. Ahh, I figured he was only tallying up the actual results. I see where you're coming from though!

You helped me alot man! Thanks!
No problem, . Hope you get everything resolved!

|

Okay Thanks!
Now i got some problems with modify the configs. I got a AMD X4 965 and a ATI 7770 and use the following config on cgminer:
cgminer.exe -o *** -u *** -p *** --scrypt -I 18 --shaders 640 --thread-concurrency 8000 -w 192 -g 1
Is there something todo better?
No idea on that one. Even with the same type of video card, you can often get different results by changing settings around. Sorry I can't be of more help on that end!

And why i got on a P2Pool alot of more Shares?
P2Pool is different in how it's run. I don't really know much more than that. In my case I get a lot LESS shares.
|
|
|
Oh yes there it is Many Thanks! No problem, .
|
|
|
I count the Shares from cgminer yes.
I only found one Pool where i can set the DIFF.
Where can i see what DIFF a pool is using?
Thanks!
CGminer will say it. It has two difficulties. One is beside the block number and the other is above it. The top one is the pool's diff, the one by the block number is the coin's diff.

Yes i know that I've tried to mine on some low-difficult coin network but same here. No difference between High and Low Difference Network Just got my 5 Shares per Minute Are you counting your accepts from your mining program, or from the pool's count? The pool will always account for your accept * diff. For example: If you're getting 5 accepts per minute at 32 Diff, you would get 10 per minute at 16. 32*5 = 160 10*16 = 160 So you are submitting less shares but your total shares will remain the same on the pool.

Starting today, I am attempting to go from .15 btc to 30 btc to buy a bike listed on bitmit. It will probably not be listed if I get to my goal, but its worth a shot. Current Bankroll: 0.3457 btcI will post stats and my picks each day here. Each betting unit will be .01 btc. Feel free to follow this thread, and if you would like to join bitbook.biz please pm me and use me as a referral, and if I make my goal and you place bets with me as your referral, ill transfer you a part of what I make from referrals. I will be using three different sports books as of now. They are: https://casinobitco.inhttps://bitbook.biz/?referer=xboxgameshttp://bitcoinsports.eu/Casinobitco.in has graciously credited my account with .1 btc worth of credits on their site to help towards this challenge. I will be reporting back in this thread during the progress of it as to how fast their payouts are, customer service, etc., good or bad. I appreciate their rep reaching out to me. Wins: 5 Losses: 3 Pushes: 0 Total games bet: 9 Total units wagered: 13 Starting btc balance: .15 Current btc balance: .3457 Looks like an interesting thing to follow! But if you want to go from .15 to 30, you may want to learn math first, otherwise you'll lose everything, :p. For the record, what I'm referring to is your count of 5 wins + 3 losses + 0 pushes equaling 9. 5+3+0 is 8. Regardless, I'll follow this, and good luck!

Going to do a smaller bitcoin Give-A-Way!
More to come if this works out good. Only issue I have is there is a .01 fee on every transaction... Any way around this?
Will start giving a few away now and will up the ante once I work everything out.
Post an address and receive bitcoin!
You could use Coinbase.com they have no fees. My address is 1P22tVABsd85L7kkpTmohCv5vK2BypFz3H They charge fees if the amount you're sending is less than 0.01 BTC.

Hello,
I'm mining some Alt-Coins at the moment.
I got a Hashrate by 220kh/s on scrypt. If i mine on a normal pool i got about 5-10 Shares per Minute. On every alt-coin. On a P2Pool i got nearly 100Shares per Minute on the same Coin. Is this normal?
It all depends on the share difficulty of the pool. Some are variable, some are high, some are low. Generally speaking they will be somewhat low.

Hmm, can you please explain a little more about what the actual issue is? When people do the "51% attack" they can actually create a second chain that pools lock on to (this is what the "fork" is?)? And in the case of one of the forks, how does the pool know which one to follow? And the pool owner?
(Not trying to be sarcastic at all. I'm still pretty new to cryptos so my knowledge on the "technical" side is pretty lacking)
What I think is happening with FTC is that the automated pool hopping is corrupting the block chain. Yesterday FTC net rate was plodding along at about 170MH/s then multipool suddenly threw another 85MH/s at it taking it to 265MH/s and about half an hour later there was another sudden jump up to over 500MH/s I presume as a result of people using profitability sites like Coinchoose/CoinWarz to target their mining focus. Because FTC has a long confirmation delay, it was about 15min when this happened, a little bit of luck with the new miners and they can find a couple of blocks in this time and have a longer block chain. Kind of like a 51% attack. Some people think there was a deliberate attack on the FTC chain yesterday, but I haven't read a plausible explanation of how this would be done. You would need several hundred MH/s and that's a lot of GPU's to control. Ahh, so finding blocks too quickly causes a fork by increasing the size of the chain above what it should be?

Multiport stats page is now live. The data is a bit sparse at the moment but it should give an idea of what's been going on for the past 24 hours.
That's awesome! Depressing to see half of our time was wasted with FTC but there was no real way of knowing. I'm hoping FTC pulls out of this and perseveres! If a pool locks onto the wrong block chain, it's not the coins problem it's the pools for not picking it up quick enough. There is nothing peculiar to FTC code it all comes from BTC->LTC and is found in dozens of alts which have exactly the same flawed code. All are vulnerable, and this has to be taken into consideration by the pool owner. Hmm, can you please explain a little more about what the actual issue is? Luckybit,
What is a hard fork? What would happen to all my devcoins which I earned and bought - I haven't sold any of them.
Also, I totally agree. I made the 3rd world argument almost 2 weeks ago and I was treated like a racist. It's common sense. The current plan will chase away all developed world talent and that's where the best talent exists because that's where the money for education and the best schools exist. And not to mention the best English speakers with few exceptions like parts or Africa.
At any rate this is a real dilemma.
But I would like to know what a hard fork is so I know what to do with all my devcoins. TIA
Hard fork just means a fundamental change in how coins are generated, or how fast. When it happened to FTC, it was just a change to smaller retargets (504 blocks) and maximum retarget changes (44.X%). You won't lose any coins you've earned. It requires downloading a new client to get the updated blocks that occur after the hard fork, but nothing is lost at all.
