9161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MultiCoin][Stratum+GW] multipool.in - Always mine the most profitable coin on: June 09, 2013, 12:29:47 AM
Something is wrong with FTC: 4 orphans in a raw. Can you cripple it with 20% setback at multipool?

Looks like a possible fork.  I just disabled it off the multiport altogether.

You must have missed this:

May 15th Update: Mandatory update version 0.6.4 released with 504 block retarget and difficulty adjust on block 33,000.

There was a hard fork. All the orphans were trying to mine for the same block as well. Once you get FTC updated we should be good to go!

And this is why newbies belong to the newbies forum... so they can mature appropriately

I have to admit, I lol'd.

Going from newbie to non-newbie is like your BTC going from Unconfirmed to Confirmed. Those who don't make it are Orphaned!

FLY NEWBIES FLY!

I've no aggression to the writers, but just want to make our community to notice this thing, is devtome more important than open source developers? I'd suggest some way, e.g. to limit the shares on devtome not exceed the half of whole shares, or as others said, use read times or vote links, instead of just words to distribute shares. just some random thoughts, not thinking very carefully, and forgive my english for I'm not native speaker.

I agree 100%. Unthinkingbit and other administrators: is there a way we can make some decision on this?
agree, though id say 1/4 is enough.
Devcoin is about DEVeloping, maintaining a wiki dosnt really count to developing Wink

Without awareness and POPularity all the DEVeloping in the world will fall flat on its face.

Writers should get paid per quality and the best way is to measure quality the way advertisers and google pay and get paid for ads and that is hits or page-views.

I know unthinkingbit said last month there was a program almost ready to be used for this.  This will ensure that people will write quality work or quit.  It is the most fair way of doing things.

Going based on hits/views is one of the easiest systems to manipulate (exploit). I am 100% against this.
9164  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking preorders for USB miner soon on: June 08, 2013, 11:08:24 PM
If you are not interested that is fine. Anyone who is interested can PM to setup payment/arrange shipping.

You're asking for preorder money, yet in another post you stated that you haven't even registered your company or started doing anything and won't until the "pre-orders start ramping up?" Seriously?

9168  Economy / Securities / Re: Community Mining - Bitfury Asic Miner 120GH/s --> 3GH/s for only 1BTC on: June 08, 2013, 06:51:51 PM
Hi guys,

In this thread we want to introduce a new community mining project which is based on bitfury mining devices. (Group buy -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=223656.0 )
It will be based on the same scheme like our open source asic miner projekt (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=216782.0)

Advantages:
-Low power costs (0,7W – 1W / GH) -> So you will get more mining earnings.
-120GH / device for a low price of 3 BTC / GH

About this project:
-There will be 40 shares for 1 BTC each per device.
-One share equals a hashing power of 3GH/S

I'm a bit lost. You said that the cost of the device is 3 BTC/GH, but yet you are selling shares at a rate of 3GH/BTC.

Is one of these reversed?

Wow cool!

Thanks! Feel free to let me know if there are any problems, Smiley.
9170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I get bitcoins? on: June 08, 2013, 05:51:39 PM
I'm a newbie and I would like to get some coins Smiley

One way is to use faucets. http://coinfaucets.tk is an automatic timer and rotator for them so you can easily keep up with their cooldowns and get more coins as they come up.

Yeah, I used it earlier today for address creation.

acs26 is a scammer. I already provided him a one month loan of one billion btc, and he hasn't paid back a single satoshi. Scammer, I say. SCAMMER!

Please remain calm, he told me he is meeting with some friends from "a galaxy far away" I am sure he will repay your loan

Yes, I recently got back from my meeting with Vikesland's space program, and also their Military. I've put a few fifty BitCoins to invest, and we'll also be getting funds from them. (About four BitCoins per day.)
And I've also invested in other things, that could total to forty million BitCoins each week.

I am sorry for that, as explained above. I have already paid back your loan, and have given you two extra BitCoins for your troubles. I have invested in a private island resort, and I would gladly invite you to a Sponsored Party. (18+ isn't needed, I will fly you via. my private jet. You can also bring family members, because my jet can hold 20+ including myself and my butlers.)

Just offer him a free cam show too. If it's anything like the one you gave me, he'll forget all about the debt!

I'm going to be showing him a 'fee cam show', also. Yet, it's going to be in real life.

Smiley

What do I have to say? Bribery helps.
Man, sometimes I don't understand this whole system... Huh

It's all about the sausage...

As Tom Green once asked, "daddy would you like some sausage?!"

Up, seems to be going well so far still. If there any additional faucets anyone would like to request, feel free to get a hold of me, Smiley.

Be nice to a noob day:
Help me get some BTC.  Shocked
NO  Angry . Just kidding Smiley Go search Google free btc faucet and you'll find some that giveaway bitcoin though very small amounts.

Or use http://coinfaucets.tk -- easier and faster as it has a timer and rotator for them, Smiley.
9175  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone making a killing out of free btc sites? on: June 08, 2013, 07:48:31 AM
I'm sorta addicted to the faucet sites.  I'm on a mission to see if I can actually accumulate a full bitcoin through the faucet sites.  It may be possible, but with just clicking, copying, pasting, and filling in the catpcas, it would probably take several months at least.

If you want a fast method, use http://coinfaucets.tk

It's an automatic timer/rotator so you can easily skip from one to the next without having to keep up with timers on your own. Increases productivity as a result, :p.

I've been using Coinreaper, but thanks, I'll try that one instead.  No ugly frames with that site, so that looks like an improvement to me already.

No problem! I was actually using CR before I found out it had off timers and a couple dead sites. Kept trying to get a hold of the owner with no luck, so went out to make my own. And thus coinfaucets was born, :p.

I actively use the site as well, so if there are any dead sites (not just a temporary outage) they will be swapped to a different database to be checked periodically until they are back up.

Also, I'm pretty much always available for comments and suggestions!

Oh, you built it huh?  Nicely done, I like the UI.  Loads much faster than the Coinreaper faucets did, I think you've got a convert here.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope you continue enjoying it. Feel free to pm me or email (coinfaucets@gmail.com) any time!

Also, please share the word about the site, Smiley.

Okay, okay. No more monkey pictures. They're reminding me I want one and it makes me sad.

Why do they have to throw their poo? WHY?! Sad

Oh, and why do they have to rip off people's faces?
9180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New BTC Faucet Timer/Rotator! on: June 08, 2013, 05:11:10 AM
To be honest, how much btc can you really earn per hour of work in these sites?

If you mean an actual working hour, it's really not that bad. Running through all the 30m faucets is around a minute of time, so you can do that 60x in a working hour.

I'd suggest doing it passively. Ex. I run through them while watching TV and such, since it's downtime regardless.

It's definitely not a get rich quick scheme, but think about it like this: any BTC's you earn are going towards the 21 million maximum (I think it's 21m?), so they will likely increase in value later, especially with how the news has been going.
