9161  Other / Meta / Re: [Ban evasion] +200 connected accounts on: October 01, 2018, 01:14:18 PM
~

You're sadly wasting your time asking the admins to look into this.

Sadly you are right, as in one epidemic you have to try to kill the strain of the virus and not just treat the sick.
We have to solve the problem at the root, to make banning the accunts especially of low ranks does not change much.
Unlike this, if we can ban high rank accounts give to us more satisfaction and have a higher ecomonic impact for those hunterbuntingfamilyfarms.
9162  Other / Meta / Re: Can somebody tell me why merits are not given in the bounty selection? on: September 30, 2018, 11:27:22 PM
Since the merits have been created for posts that help the community, is very difficulty for a buonty's thread where 99% of the messages are reports of the activities done on social media have merit points.
In my opinion, one of the few reasons to give points on a bounty is to discover a scam and aller the community.
9163  Economy / Reputation / Re: Huge merit abusing, DT please take a look. on: September 29, 2018, 12:38:53 PM
he is a seller one account has been redtrusted

so we can assume almost everyone with this transaction has bought the merit

also if you look at this user trusted list you can see a "self admission"

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=965234

He redtrusted ppl who tried to scam the merit seller xD

9164  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda account changed hand? on: September 28, 2018, 12:18:07 AM
Why is a random newbie account interested in my account? Government employee or just an alt of someone who got busted (and is out to get me)? Roll Eyes
Curiously, Genoserner wrote this message after 14 months of inactivity.

In my opinion it's probably the alt of someone who got redtrust from he/she and who waited some similar circumstance.
9165  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos should consider guidelines for bounty managers. (Here is draft) on: September 28, 2018, 12:13:45 AM
Sorry but it's hard to quote OP list  Tongue

  • Bounty manager's shouldn't ask submit report on OP, bounty report should collect by Google form. Proof of annunciation can be post to avoid bounty cheaters.

What if someone uses 30 accounts? He can cheats anyway

  • Since scam(upcoming or ongoing) are not moderated by forum, no stake distribution on time frame will consider for scam. If a manager failed to distribution stake among bounty participant he should get temp ban for each campaign. 3 temp ban result will be permaban.

Some managers complete their job at the end of the bounty, yes they don't probably even read reports.
  • Managers shouldn't ask or forced more than 20 post per week for alt coin reward to avoid spam. Or they can pay per post

Depens, if post are good why this cap?

  • Managers shouldn't accept spammer and spam post on count.
Agree, but it will never happen. Probably are the ICO owner who ask for spam on 1st place.

  • Bounty managers shouldn't not ask reply on thread for airdrop, bounty and ANN Thread. If asked than thread should be trashed and OP should get temp ban

Already done.

  • Thread should be locked after stake distributions.  Because sometimes people's reply even bounty is over.
Agree, but actually is one of the best way to find bots and multi accounts bots.

[/list]

  • BM should lock bounty, ANN and Airdrop thread if team unable to give appropriate answers against scam accusation.

Agree.

  • Bumping thread with similar word of "great project" by newbie and Jr. Member is prohibited.  More than 15 comment a day like this will consider paid bumping except constructive discussion. If use paid bumping, thread should be trashed and OP should get temp ban.
I do not agree.
And if I do 30 accounts and spam on your thread? You should be banned?
  • Bounty manager's should not spend merit on his own bounty thread.

Agree.

  • If need KYC approval for receive stake BM should mention in bounty thread. No mention means there isn't require KYC in order to get stake.

Agree. Buf if the ICO's owner ask if before distrubution?

  • Both account should ban if caught managing bounty with alt account to avoid ban evasion.

The can always use another account or friend to post for them.

  • Bounty manager's could add disclaimer on bounty thread, it's doesn't mean he/she will not get ban if stake isn't distributed on time. Bounty manager fully responsible if stake not distributed for hunters.

Some managers, are here only for 1 project or scam project and they will leave the account after their ICO, in this way you punish only regulars manager but I agree with this.
  • Duplicate thread are not allowed if previous thread trashed by moderators.

I do not agree, someone can do 10000000 accounts and spam one thread only to make mods delete it.

  • Bounty budget shouldn't decrease after end of campaign if there is more than 100 participant on spreadsheet.

Yea if target is reached, the decreasing for no reason should be punished, but if it not bounty manager fault?

  • Bounty thread should made self moderated to delete spam post. ( I am not encourage made self moderated thread for ANN. Because peoples will not able to share true opinion. They might be delete all negative comments. Better option is remove self moderated option from Altcoins Announcement section)

I don't know this has pro and contro.

  • Ponzi scheme should not allow to promote on bounty section. ( All ponzi scheme turn into scam eventually)

Ponzi are always scam.
9166  Other / Meta / Re: 80 bumps a day on: September 27, 2018, 11:59:37 PM
If you are interest few months ago I did one topic about this problem, some accounts seems to be sold now but if you look their old reports you probably will find this bumping thing.

Here the link Bumping ico-bounty service allowed? 69 accounts involved so far.
9167  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: September 27, 2018, 10:08:04 PM

The day the forum introduces KYC is the day 95% of non-bounty spammers leave.

I would not be so sure, I can link a report made a while ago in which I wrote about an abuser with 20 accounts and kyc approved on all accounts on the spreadsheet of the bounty.
On 3rd world's country you can buy documents for a few dollars.
9168  Other / Meta / Re: sMerit participants – a worrying descending trend (!/?) on: September 27, 2018, 02:46:10 PM
Mostly people here merit posts from legendary members/staff/Administrators/Moderators
~

Actually he is right, but the graph is infuenced by merit source (most of them are with very high rank), also last update I made was around 2 months ago
As we can see people tend to merit rank similar at their rank.

9169  Other / Meta / Re: Most annoying word of forum on: September 27, 2018, 02:13:14 PM
Many words can be described as boring here in the forum, one of the most used is definitely JOIN with the hashtag in front.
9170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I received a job offer - is this legit? on: September 27, 2018, 02:10:48 PM
Nobody will do something for free to anyone. In most cases this will be a scam attempt. Do not trust anybody like this.
9171  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: September 27, 2018, 01:32:30 PM
I think it would be better to have a KYC system to open a new account. Then you can not make spamming account. I think this is good comment for the site.

Cmon kyc for a forum? Do you give your data like that for free to anyone else?
Your data are money on the blackmarket, and if the forul will be hacked again?
9172  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Guli on: September 26, 2018, 11:40:03 PM
Hello! Why are you showing me my wallet? It's my family who send me coins, because I used to say I was very sick. I have no other income, and my son, daughter, mother send me coins! What's wrong with that??? And if YOU had an INCURABLE DISEASE?

So many "abusers" found have a working family here  Roll Eyes.
So many people here have problems in real life (guess what? me too).
Rules exist for one reason, if you plagiarism you will get permabanned, if you abuse you maybe probably get red trust.

I want to be rich too one day and solve my money problems but probably it will never happen, so move on.
9173  Other / Meta / Re: Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements on: September 26, 2018, 11:34:51 PM
OK, I thought I had seen all in this forum but THIS...
Until now I have been generally positive about the merit system - even though it is not very favourable for me personally, but I can live with that - I thought it would really help the forum by separating quality from garbage.
But then... you have posted this.

The wall observer is a community in its own, it's more like a sub-forum of the forum.
It is an entity in itself that does not closely reflect the forum, you will find people who have been posting to each other for several years and who only look at that forum's thread.
o not pay much attention to what's going on inside it, its a world apart.
9174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will it be XRP vs ETH again for second spot? on: September 26, 2018, 07:55:59 PM
If ethereum will not change soon it can be loose a lot of value since is actually used only to pay fees for tokens for the ICOs.
They need to do something or soon we will have (in my opinion) a different coin at second place on coinmaketcap, I can see stellar or EOS in a good position if ethereum will collapse.
9175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Or Trading? on: September 26, 2018, 07:53:33 PM
90% of trades are losing money, so the answer is really easy, IF YOU ARE NO ON THIS 10% of winning traders go for bounty.
A good alternative is to buy and hold long term if you don't need the invested money.
9176  Economy / Reputation / Re: Selling Bitcointalk account with 1 merit on: September 26, 2018, 06:37:46 PM
Is there any IP ban here on bitcointalk ? I think it should use it to that account.

IP ban is nothing, in most cases you need just to reset the router if you have a dynamic IP connection.
9177  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't bounty managers clean up spam posts in their thread ? on: September 26, 2018, 06:22:56 PM
Yes they should do but ofthen those are not self-moderated threads.
The spam in the bounty threads that noone will ever read (maybe not even the good manager) is one of the best ways to find abusers.
The most part of this report when the campaing is over, its done by bots and you can check back their post history to find the original higher rank account.

like this one

From post 7406 till 7412 I can bet they are multiaccount-bots.

9179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 80% BTC dominance by 2022 on: September 25, 2018, 10:50:06 PM
It depends a lot on different factors, if the market of ico will finally be regulated and if the fees finally can be managed in a better way than the current ones, the dominance will increase more and more.
80% I think it is a too positive estimate and I think it could only happen if the market will collaps, if instead the market grows I hope a maximum of 60%.
9180  Other / Meta / Re: Getting merited on post made on local board on: September 25, 2018, 10:06:08 PM
The problem of local sections is that if the section is not very populated it will probably have a number of merit sorces not high and therefore the merit that runs in that section may not be enough to reward all deserving users.
I know it is difficult but to try to have a greater success you have to write in the English section.

A good start can be here, I do not know it the thread is still active. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3081595.0
