9161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $LMC Rebranding, Easily 10X ( Low Market Cap) on: September 10, 2017, 02:23:56 AM
Stop scamming. The 10x increases in the market will not happen again so early. The sentiment on market has also changed from bullish to bearish. Investors are also very careful because ICOs might get delisted in some of the exchanges.

From now on choose your investments wisely.

@rickgejr. I was talking about Aeon nodes not wallets. The blockchain is secured by proof of work. If Aeon has gained much support from miners then good luck attacking the blockchain.

Also John Mc Afee will say a lot of things to get attention. Do not take him seriously.
9163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The great ETH Exodus on: September 10, 2017, 01:40:23 AM
@Heuristic. Is there a great exodus already? I looked at the price of both ETH and ETC and it did not look like something is happening now. But it might still happen during Ethereum's great debate to switch to proof of stake or not. Many miners will not be pleased.

9164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: China ICO banned >>> ETH and tokens raise? on: September 09, 2017, 02:26:51 AM
@grexmebeen. No, all the investors will go back to bitcoin and the other trusted proof of work coins like litecoin, Monero. While some investors will go to the more speculative mined cryptocoins like viacoin on vertcoin.

The predict next step of the bans will be on the exchanges. The SEC might start ordering them to delist ICOs by December this year.

@GOT fans. Suggest me sources of information and spoilers for season 8. It will be a very long wait before we can watch it again but I would like to continue to maintain this thread and keep posting news and other progress made by HBO and the producers.
There are indeed leaks for the upcoming season 8 but according to reports, all of them are fake but without doubt it was really good reading them though, there was lots of deaths in the main characters and there wasn't any Azhor Ahai as a matter of fact.

Please post them even if you think they are fake. It will keep the discussion going and it will also help with the long winter. I really am hating HBO for doing this to us.

I hope the wait is worth it and that they make season 8 the best of all seasons.

@Coinchange. If nimiq is built to run in mobile devices, then yes. But its not only anonymous, it has a better lead developer than nimiq. Smooth has a proven track record in the cryptospace, the developers in nimiq do not.
9167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $257 Million: Filecoin Breaks All-Time Record for ICO Funding on: September 09, 2017, 01:14:00 AM
Are the bans and warnings on ICOs gravely serious? If it is, then why are the known venture capitalists like Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz still investing millions in ICOs?

Is the Chinese, Russian, US governments and others giving these warnings because they are scared people can fund themselves without their permission and authority?

You seem to habitually fail to pay attention to important details.

That ICO began on August 10, and only $3 million was raised in past 3 days since ICO bad news.

…as accredited investors swamped the CoinList website

It is legal ICO issuance with proper disclosures and was sold only to accredited investors. It is not these scammy ICOs we’ve been seeing that are not correctly issued under appropriate exemption from registration.

More importantly, even legal token issuance will mean those tokens are restricted securities that can only be sold on regulated exchanges. They can’t be traded decentralized and thus are not a cryptocurrency.

More details:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2156492.msg21615589#msg21615589

Yes, you are right! So is this the future of ICOs? Are accredited investors the only people allowed to invest money in the ICO before listing them in an exchange? Then why do they need a token? Why not follow the traditional way of funding a project?

Unless the big boys want to control the whole scam funding model to scam us.

Am I the one and only guy thinks that Max's aggresive ride is nice for the eye but deadly for his F1 car?

Yeah and congratulations for Lewis, imo he will be a monster till the end of the F1 2017 season.

We need people like Max to make the races more exciting. Sometimes, some tracks get really boring and it just comes to the pilot fighting himself, not doing any mistakes, and keeping it really low on the risk taking.

Drivers like Max or former driver Montoya were always taking risks and believed in impossible things. Sometimes they can do it and the people will remember them. A lot of people still has Montoya as their favorite pilot.
Going through your opinion we need guys like Maldonado in F1  Grin Grin Grin For me boring is that 90% of races was won by Mercedes or Ferrari driver Smiley

Pastor Maldonado is not really that good for formula 1. He is only a pay driver who needs to offer money to help fund a team to get a driver's seat. He is also old now at 32 years old.

I reckon a big team like Mercedes should give youngsters like Pascal Wehrlein a chance because they will be the future of the sport.

Aeon is apparently not working correctly.

If and when the work to rebase the coin is complete, we might expect a bump.

We will probably also see a big dump, soon after.

The fact that we have nearly zero "progress" info is not good.

On the other hand, if the improved blockchain version is really good, we could see a sustained upswing.

As for the use of cell phones for this coin, unless and until phones become more secure, anyone who stores their coins on a phone is a future victim of theft.

You do not get the real idea behind Aeon. Running an Aeon wallet in mobile devices is nothing. That can be done today by all of the coins and upload them in Google Play.

What smooth has planned to do is to make Aeon very light so that it could run full nodes in mobile devices. Maybe also mine in them if the CPU is powerful enough.
9171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Comparison of Crypto Choices: XRP Against Bitcoin and Ethereum on: September 08, 2017, 01:11:16 AM
The idea of Ripple is good. I reckon the developers of the Lightning Network are doing the same idea as the Ripple network but what they are building is a decentralized version and it will be deployed as another layer on bitcoin.

What the people hate about Ripple is the internal currency is controlled by the company who made the network. Also who validates the transactions and what is their incentive?

Filecoin's ICO, which began on August 10, quickly garnered millions in investment via CoinList, a joint project between Filecoin developer Protocol Labs and startup investment platform AngelList. That launch day was notable both for the large influx of purchases of Simple Agreements for Future Tokens, or SAFTs (effectively claims on tokens once the Filecoin network goes live), as well as the technology issues that quickly sprouted as accredited investors swamped the CoinList website.

Today, the ICO ended with approximately $205.8 million raised, a figure that adds to the $52 million collected in a presale that included Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz and Union Square Ventures, among others.

I also used this sportsbook but never for amounts bigger than 100 dollars in bitcoins. The withdrawals always arrive in my wallet but after a few reports from users not receiving their withdrawals, I stopped using it. I read all the reviews about the fiat sportsbook from the same company that runs 1xbit, and the complaints are the same. They selectively scam some users but not all.
9174  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-09-07] What you need to know about the latest bitcoin boom on: September 07, 2017, 01:15:21 AM
This a long article and there is nothing new written in it. But what the article did not mention at all is the importance of the role of the darknet in giving bitcoin its value. The Silk Road was the first market that gave bitcoin the first opening of becoming a circular economy.

Today the whole darknet market has more than tripled in size.

Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies are gradually cementing their stated position – providing a radical new alternative to the investment options that existed before them. But there is no certainty as to how this massive experiment will play out. Though when did that ever stop hopeful investors taking a punt?

What these scholars do not see is bitcoin's technical achievement as a bankless financial network. All he and people like him say is 'it is a bubble'. But what is not a bubble? Everything in the market will become a bubble.

Do not listen to him. Listen to Bill Gates. He said bitcoin is our generation's tour de force.
9176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: September 07, 2017, 12:51:32 AM
@Mynero. They are all theories and suspicions from the skeptical people in the community. We have a lot of them and we really do not know what their motives are. Some of them only want to spread FUD.

But I would be happy if they fake Aeon's trading volume hehehe.

I also want to ask the miners, hey sell down your Aeons. There are many of us waiting in HitBTC.
9177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New in crypto. Need some advises. on: September 07, 2017, 12:45:48 AM
@nashap. It might be better for you and your friend to start with something smaller. The cryptocoin market is among the most unpredictable in the world because the market is still immature and many of the traders are inexperienced.

Tell your friend to start with 1/4 of your original amount intended to gamble in the cryptomarket.
9178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regards on the ICO BAN on: September 06, 2017, 02:40:51 AM
The problem is not only on the issuer level but also on the Chinese exchange level. The Chinese government can pressure all the exchanges operating in China to delist all ICO coins or they will be forced to close their exchange.

Without any exchanges trading ICO coins how will the issuer make his project adopted now? It is good to avoid holding them until there regulations for them.

Aeon is not a simple Monero clone, Aeon have a unique Criptonote Algo with the best CPU performance (compared to GPU performance), and less memory requirements, than any other Criptonote coin.

I see a real world use for this caracteristiques.

Yes and the longterm plan for Aeon is to also run on mobile devices. I reckon smooth mentioned that the hardware is not there yet. But he already envisioned that in 5 years mobile phones will be more powerful than the regular desktop computer.

Smooth has found a special category in the market.
