9161  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is in danger zone now! the recent dip looks bad on: March 29, 2018, 08:04:32 AM
Bitcoin dipped to 7500$ and i think now it is danger zone could go to 3000$-4000$ again.
Good chance for newcomers, sorry for those who bought bitcoin at 18,000$ an 11,000$ Cheesy

What do you think? How low bitcoin can go?

Well we could be entering as what they call a "death cross" or a "bear trap" so indeed it maybe a sign of a danger zone as we are at $7600. But as far as I can remember like 10 days ago, we have been in this kind of situation, and it a matter of hours, bitcoin suddenly get up and moved past $8000 again and I was surprised as to how it quickly bounce back. So this is nothing new, no need to be alarm. Maybe it was brought by the news coming from Twitter (after Facebook) about banning crypto ads. So I really don't think that we can go to levels of $3000-$4000. If it did, then what are you guys waiting for, another golden opportunity to purchase more and just HODL and then do nothing. I'm pretty sure that we will not end this year without new all-time-high so get your funds ready for another buying spree.
9162  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin preparing for a bull run?? on: March 24, 2018, 06:11:23 PM
From a traders point of view bitcoin is still not have a good performance for the past following weeks, for the last 3 months the price drops from 20,000 USD down to 8000 USD this week and that is a 12,000 USD difference almost 50 percent price decline. Let's see about the outcome of G20 summit regarding the regulation of cryptocurrencies and ICOs if it could really affect again the  price of bitcoin. There are still 9 months to go to recover the bitcoin price back to 20k again, the same performance last year or could it be better this year.
Many traders and holders are still in profit from last years pump, if they invested at this month last year or earlier since the chart really goes that high, no need to be too alarmed on what is happening in crypto for it can recover especially if there's no fud around.

Not all, those we have bought bitcoin at the top price is already burned and murdered in the last 3 months and they are the one who decided to get out and just suffer a lost. For those who didn't sell during the peak of December and continue to hold may have also offload some of their stash. But for most of us who really took home big profits has somewhat get back at the market, slowly, just buying in dips. Personally, I'm not shaken with all the crash or price correction, I'm not saying that I'm immune, but I know that we can still recovered and the bullrun that we all have been waiting is just around the corner.
9163  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Stabilising? on: March 23, 2018, 04:49:55 PM
the market is still volatile, and it can not be said to be stable. panic is striking traders and investors today, because surely many of them already supply bitcoin with high prices. My prediction, bitcoin prices will still decline for the next few weeks.

As I have mentioned, you can have volatility as your friend in this market. And we don't need to attached volatility with negative, you can also take advantage of it in your favor. Just like we preached here, if the market is down, then that's the golden opportunity to enter the market again. And bitcoin will not stabilized, no matter if there is regulations or not. What matters is that you have to take the every opportunity that the market has to offer to us. Currently the price is somewhat "stuck" to $8500-$8900, so for me its still a good time to purchase and just hold.

He created an account just to ask this question, why? I see a lot of people do this and I wonder why they do it? and see that in most cases they do not even respond in the thread they create.
OP, do you feel ashamed to claim on faucets? why the hell did you created a bitcointalk account to ask that question?
Here are these possible theories:

  • He found the solution to the problem and forgot the account
  • Marked(bookmark) this page and checked it offline
  • Lost access to this account
  • If he/she post after 14 days of this publication, it may be an account farming (Such posts are seldom deleted)

I think if he/she has found the solution, at least have the decency to come back online and inform the community that he/she has found the solution with the help of the forum members. I still remember one member you says that he has 7 bitcoins, but didn't know how to retrieved it. Everyone tries to help him/her, apparently, he/she didn't came back so I'm sure that one way or another he/she was able to retrieved it with the help of our community. At least a good thank you note or even acknowledges that indeed problem is solved already.
9165  Economy / Economics / Re: can i rise price by buy for my sell ? ( on: March 23, 2018, 04:28:34 PM
It's a big risk that you are taking here dude, and I don't know if the method you mentioned will stick out so that you can profit as we all know that there's is a so called pump-and-dump, you can pump it as big as you want, but the problem is when it suddenly dump and you didn't exit on time. So instead of getting a huge profit, you may have to see some losses here. So I advise you not to do it. Why not invest your $10K to bitcoin instead and just hold on it till the end of the year? Less worries on your end and you don't have to do anything but just observed how the price goes long term. Well, its your money anyways, so its our call. Goodluck though and I wish you make the correct decision here, as $10K is fairly a good amount to lose in this volatile market.
9166  Economy / Speculation / Re: New fall of bitcoin on: March 23, 2018, 04:18:13 PM
Technical analysis can help to find entry points but right now you need to look at what's going on with the SEC. Institutional investors are waiting to enter the market but they could stay a few months longer on the sidelines depending on the officials decision how much they are going to regulate this market.

I don't know about the SEC thingy, the latest obstacles that we have overcome is the G20 meeting. It turns out to be on our favor that's why we rode a 2 day high culminating to above $9000, however it looks like we have another FUD at hand that cause the market to shrink -$500, (http://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-price-japan-binance-threat/), apparently, investors thinks that Binance is threaten, but is not even case, however, just like FUD's in the past, the damage is done already before we knew what really happens so it hard to reverse it now.

Some people predicted about this deep today 2 weeks ago  ( have a look on youtube : Financial Freedom ). Can we expect from now any improvement in the next couple of days and maybe a bull market?

So expect a bull market anytime soon as it is very fragile as of the moment. Investors going in and out because of FUD's popping which breaks our momentum. We still have a week to go before another months end, So we can only hope that April will bring a change in the market sentiments.
9167  Economy / Speculation / Re: slowly, but surely bro!!! on: March 23, 2018, 03:54:04 PM
slowly and surely the price will reach $ 11,000 by the end of this month. Now Catch someone's eye situation, I'm very confident if this situation becomes a great opportunity to go to the moon in 2018, we've started Move on up to see the price we expect. it may be too early to talk about the moon. but, I'm very sure that it will happen this year.  Cool

Yeah, I really hope that the price could get to $11000 at the end of the month but it looks like we are back from where we are about a week ago. The price didn't sustained as the market reacted again to another FUD (http://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-price-japan-binance-threat/), that's why we have another pullback. We still have one full week to go, but I doubt that we will hit $11000. So I guess we should not be jumping for joy and hope for another bullrun because one FUD will put a strain of the price since the market is very fragile at this moment. Eventually we will get to $11000 though, maybe mid April. I really thought that the G20 thing will help us somewhat push the price above or even close to $10000, sadly though when we are in a 3 day rally, someone or something breaks our momentum and we are back to square one again.
9168  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-22] BTC Price Falls as Markets React to (False) Japan Binance Thread on: March 23, 2018, 03:44:12 PM
A larger population of bitcoin user don't use binance exchange, there are other exchanges and there other hodlers of btc who use both online wallet and hardware how come a little misunderstanding between FSA and binance could cause the price of btc to fall? I don't think there is any correlation between the two, my belief is that bearish market has momentarily taken over the bullish market.
exactly, you got the point, binance is not the favorite exchange in this community,as we all knew that lots of great exchanges here and only few chooses binance so it wont effect the market at all, this is only for another distraction,if the bitcoin price start to stabilize lots of issues like this goes ariund the globl that brings trouble again to the moving market

I don't know where you guys get the statistics that Binance is not very popular in this community. As per coinmarketcap, (https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/), its the number 1 trading exchanges, so this kind of FUD will put a pressure on the price as have seen it go south in the last 2 days or so. At least today though the price moves to $8600 so its a good indication that everything is clear now and this just a misunderstanding and it looks like the medias has spun it around as if something is wrong that's why the price is somewhat affected.
9169  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cambridge Analytica type tricks used to FUD crypto? on: March 23, 2018, 03:37:09 PM
The Facebook scandal opened people's eyes on how they're being manipulated.

The news is dominated currently by Cambridge Analytica, the data company that helped propel Donald Trump into the White House. It is in hot water this week, following reports that it harvested information from 50 million Facebook users without their consent.

You can see how they went about their business in this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpbeOCKZFfQ

"The two fundamental human drivers when it comes to taking information onboard effectively are hopes and fears, and many of those are unspoken and even unconscious. You didn’t know that was a fear until you saw something that just evoked that reaction from you. And our job is to get, is to drop the bucket further down the well than anybody else, to understand what are those really deep-seated underlying fears, concerns. It’s no good fighting an election campaign on the facts, because actually it’s all about emotion."

Could it be possible that the same kind of analytics and manipulations are called in by banks and/or governments to FUD cryptocurrencies?

I don't think that you have to even go that further if governments or banks really wanted to spread FUD about cryptocurrencies in the social medias. Just a simple 1 article can really put a lot of pressure on the investors and the market as well. And it some other social media publisher or author will just spin the news around for clickbait, I'm sure that it will have a domino effect putting a dent on the market price. So we don't need analytics here, its not rocket science. Try to test it yourself, just post negative or fake news in your social media account and I'm sure that it will draw a lot of attention and can bring a lot of negative sentiments to emotional traders.
9170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MEDIUM is banning Bounty dedicated account on: March 23, 2018, 03:23:56 PM
This is sad to see.  I do see changes in the future though.  Sites like Steemit are catching on (although I personally don't like the platform) and I believe that we'll see many more coming to life in the future.  Of course, getting the amount of users like Medium, Facebook, Twitter & Google (the last 3 for advertising) will take some time, but I also feel that we'll see rapid growth in some of these platforms from the crypto users and supports, which in turn will bring it to the masses.

Sorry that your account was banned, that is bullsh*t.

I think it was banned for good reasons. As what has @Patatas has said, maybe it has something to do with bounties. Specially that there are non-English posters there who are really putting up that no one really understands because of broken English or even worst to scam people out of their hard earn money. It has nothing to do with the free speech or something. Sometimes you need to know where you stand, and at this point, looks like Medium is really fed up and says that they need to put a stop on it otherwise it will ruined the online publishing platform or social journalism that they established.
9171  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Marketing on: March 23, 2018, 03:13:43 PM
Hi,

let's discuss which Marketing techniques are the best for crypto projects.

I think the most effective way to market your crypto project is through signature campaign. We have seen a lot of projects that this route and it seems very effective. If you are not sure then you can try at least 1-2 weeks of signature campaign and see how it goes for the project. Then advertised to crypto related websites is also a good method to really exposed your project to the right niche or right target audience. Or probably, hire someone to promote it to crypto community forums, as I see someone offering it here. And then their social medias as well or even in Telegram or Discord or something similar. I'm not sure about what gorilla marketing though, but I have heard that before in the Warrior Forum, but I think its mostly covered what I describe above
9172  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Jaxx Wallet and Bitcoin Wallet Security Issues on: March 23, 2018, 03:05:49 PM
OP, I have known Jaxx wallet for some time now and I must say it was a good wallet when I used it. Though, this recent news of security issues is sort of new to me. I can't really say because STORM (one of a potential new coins in the market) are using it to claim STORM tokens and they have been recommending it to their every users. They developers never issued out any news concerning this security risk in their Telegram channel nor their Twitter Channel. Recently, i have been planning to buy Storm tokens and hold till it moon; but with this sort of news, I am confused.

Well that's why I wanted to community to know, whether its a old news or not, this sort of vulnerabilities will somewhat cause a lot of doubts in the crypto market again. So its better to be safe that sorry. A lot has commented on the issues, so make your own judgment call here. I also used Jaxx before, but because of the said exploits, look for other alternatives because I don't want to blame myself later if chances are I lost all my tokens in the future. I guess its the responsibility of the wallet provider to keep us updated if the issues is already resolved, otherwise we will hear a lot of members (usually newbies) bitching around saying how they lost this and that because they didn't know that it was vulnerabilities in the first place.
9173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: March 23, 2018, 02:53:23 PM
A very bad game for both Houston Rockets and Detroit Pistons.
Both have a low percentage of shooting. Even free throws dont even work much. Only Gordon works on Houston and not much with the Pistons.
It is just with the overtime where Harden works that gave the Houston a good win in the end.

This is not how Houston plays even if Chris Paul is out. I hope he gets well when the playoffs starts.

I remember the assistant coach of Houston saying that this is not how they play. And from the expression of his face, he was really disappointed as to how they are playing at that time. Harden, didn't even score a point up to the last 4 minutes of the second quarter and missed a free throw which is unusual. Good thing that they escape with the win, otherwise if will be a big disappointed if they left this one slipped away. Really good to see that Harden didn't choke in OT but provided the spark again in this needed win to solidify their top spot in the West.
9174  Economy / Economics / Re: Increasing number of celebrities endorsing cryptocurrency on: March 23, 2018, 02:43:55 PM
Former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen is launching a cryptocurrency in his own name, joining other famous sportsmen including Manny Pacquiao in a new venture to connect with fans.

The retired England star announced Wednesday his investment in the Singapore-based Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX) as he unveiled the “Owen Coin”.

http://punchng.com/ex-england-star-michael-owen-to-launch-own-cryptocurrency/amp/

Could this be a booster to cryptocurrency because these celebrities have big influence world wide and could invariably canvass more support for cryptocurrency.

To a certain extent, yes, I believed that they celebrities endorsing crypto's will somewhat push the market to the next level. We all know how sports fan really follow their idols not just on their career, but as well as outside or personal life. So sportmen are somewhat influential and the likes of Owen and Pacquiao venturing into crypto will be a big boost or can even add to the legitimacy of the market. We have seen, Floyd and other sports of Hollywood celebrities having their own coin or endorsing ICO's and this will be the trend for the next years or so that will really bring crypto's closer to their fans. So it will be another win-win for us.
9175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Long or Short since Bitcoin reached 8800 again? on: March 23, 2018, 01:44:36 PM
Do you guys go long or still short  since Btc price reached 8800 again?
My Bags bleedet out since the big dip  and i could use some advice.
Still need to learn a lot about Trading and this Market.
It is just hard for a Virgin like me in this Bear Trend  to Survive  Huh

It reaches as high as $9000-$9200 if I'm not mistaken before a sudden nose dived to around $8500 today. Personally, I will still go for long term. Why? Because I still believed that we are going to hit all-time-high in the future. As to not worry about the price swings in the last three months as well. Will buy in dips and just hold, its that simply.

every time you think the rise is going to start and go above the resistance it stops and falls down. and every time you think this is the big drop which will last and go lower, it resists and goes back up!
i am going to say it now, we have to get comfortable with this sideways market because it seems like it is going to last a while. and that means we will see same prices over and over.

Right. That's why most of us are having nightmares and headaches because of the wild swings. You go to sleep seeing green in the market, then wakeup with negatives. LOL. That's why I really prefer to hold for long term.

Let's see if you are going to test $9000 again. I'm sure the dip has something to do with the Binance FUD again. But they already made announcement that they are looking to move to Malta. So there's no need to dump your coins, but take this opportunity again to stack up because we might try to test $9000-$10000 before the end of the month.
9176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter CEO Sees Bitcoin the World’s Single Future Currency Within Decade on: March 23, 2018, 01:30:04 PM
In an interview with British newspaper The Times of London, CEO of Twitter and payment service Square, Jack Dorsey said that he envisions Bitcoin as the world’s single future currency within 10 years.
Read more here: Twitter CEO Sees Bitcoin

I don't know but I was quite surprise to hear Dorsey's being bullish about bitcoin, or maybe he has a lot of stakes. But recently, we have seen social media's putting a grip specially on ICO advertisement and I'm expecting that Twitter will be the next social media giants that will follow what Facebook and Google has done. But as far as being the "single currency", well remains to be seen. Although bitcoin has been gaining mainstream acceptance, but its can getting the needed push because of so many FUD's and attacks from government all over the world. To be the "single currency", every country should adopt it. With that said, I don't see bitcoin to be the single currency, although I'm seeing that a lot of people will used it but it will not be the single currency as Jack would have wanted to be.
9177  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-23] Binance Moves to Malta as Prime Minister Issues Public Welcome on: March 23, 2018, 01:19:35 PM
Oh OK. It looks like this is somewhat the cause of the sudden nose dive of bitcoin as we have been enjoying 3-4 days of going into green soon and I was surprised to see the price at $8500 as I thought that we are heading to $10000. I guess some crypto news outlet try to spun the news again and people panics causing a mini dump. I hope that those who sold now understand the situation. Binance is just moving and there are no bans whatsoever. And why Malta? because its own country who are totally friendly and as far as can I remember they have a vision and believed that blockchain and bitcoin will revolutionized and change the landscape of every countries financials. I only know that they have bitcoin ATM as well. So it only make sense for Binance to move into Malta. Its also ideal for Binance, because a lot of online gambling have licenses in Malta so its really a win-win situation.

9179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin Price Going Down? on: March 21, 2018, 10:21:07 AM
Bitcoin price down is caused by several factors:
1. Due to google and facebook / other social media prohibits crypto to be marketed on their site
2. Many countries forbid the use of Bitcoin to transact
3. every year Bitcoin prices fall, and will rise again in the range of the month to 8-12

If I may add, There is a uncertainty regarding the outcome of the G20 meeting, and before the actual meeting, bitcoin fall at the bottom for the second time around last Sunday from $7800->$7500. And then a lot of analyst think that it can go as low as $2500, however, the G20 thing really brought something positive to the market that's why the bleeding has stopped and now we are just above $9000. But just like we have preaching all along, everyone should take advantage of the market situation to make money. If you have bought at the last bottom of $7500, I'm sure that you will be happy at the current price. And if ever the price will fall again, I'm sure that it will be another test, just remain calm.

I think you have experience in bitcoin, so you do not panic with the price dropped dramatically when This, I myself still believe if we buy bitcoin now we will get big profits in the future, for a big investment is very suitable buy bitcoin now

That's why I'm trying to point at you guys specially those newbies out there. You have to look at the bright side and not be despair if the price is dipping. Take advantage of the situation, purchase bitcoin when its very cheap and then HODL. Rinse and Repeat.
9180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: March 21, 2018, 10:10:20 AM
James harden threw two incredible three-pointers at the last minute to kill the game!

Portland trail blazers in the back field double - ball 3-pointers 10 shots!

That's the difference between a superstar and a star!

The MVP belongs to harden!

NBA Champions: Houston Rockets
MVP: James Harden
This season is belong to them.

I really starting to see the James Harden winning the regular MVP because of his performance this season. This time, its their turn to end up someone winning streak, and its sad that Portland doesn't have enough answer to Harden. Its really like playoff atmosphere do and lives to it hype as no one really knows who gonna win until Harden took over. At the backcourt, 2 of the best players on the opposite team, Lillard and CJ McCollum against CP3 and Harden going at it. However, its still early to say that they will be the NBA Champions, remember we still have the Golden State Warriors, Toronto, Celtics who are really strong but I have to admit that they are the favorites now.
