921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ICOs impose a minimum amount on investors? on: March 28, 2019, 07:03:47 AM
I am not talking about the private sales and pre-sales. I am talking about the main sales.
Don't you think ICOs should allow people to invest any amount of money they want? It will cause the tokens to be distributed among more people.
Assume that 1000 people are participating in an ICO and each of them is investing only 1 dollar. Don't you think they are more helpful than a person who is investing 1000 dollar?
Better to consider a maximum amount instead of a minimum and do not let the whales manipulate the price.

The whales investors in the private sales and pre-sales are having more limit to invest on the project, because they have lock period usually.
But in ICO, almost there is no lock period, therefore ICO limiting the amount of personal cap in main sale.
Otherwise, the main sale investors can manipulate the price of the token/coin.
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins: to Mine or to Buy? That is the Question on: March 27, 2019, 07:50:46 AM
Analized my experience in cryptocurrency since 2014 year I made a conclusion that PoW mining is less profitable than just buying coins ever. With several exclusions that just confirmed the rule.
So what is your experience?
Cons and pros of both methods to make money in cryptoworld?

Now I prefer holding coins, PoS mining and other methods without noisy and hot hardware

Of course mining is less profitable than trading, because all cryptocurrencies are in the bear market.
Logically, if mining not profitable anymore, many miners will stop mining and the difficulty will decreasing, so we can mining with higher rate of incomes,
but even it is not too profitable, miners keep mining coins and and the difficulty is not decreasing too significant.
So, i agree that buying coins and trading will be more profitable if you gain.
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't mind them naysayers, take a look at this picture on: March 27, 2019, 07:03:27 AM
That is not new, it has been like that since the beginning of cryptocurrency.
Many peoples said bitcoin is scam, it is a ponzi scheme or a bubble, it will dead, dont buy it.
What has happened is the opposite, bitcoin price has increasing far from the initial price.
There are always haters, even in crypto world. Just don't be easy to believe other people's words.
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Got a Job after loosing hope in Bounties on: March 26, 2019, 03:58:32 AM
Hi,

I was a bounty hunter just like many others here. Was hoping that i can earn my living by doing bounty hunting rather then kissing someone's azz 9 to 5. But it looks as if the cryptocurrency world is not ready for us or may be not willing to accept us anymore.
So after sticking to my beliefs that it will grow and good times will come, but the time has come that i have to look for alternates and here i am sitting in an office doing "YES Sir", "No Sir" and hoping that i can have a financial stability to avoid doing job anymore.

Seriously looking for suggestion to gain financial freedom and don't have to do a job anymore.

Well, if you don't want to have a job but have a financial incomes, it will be difficult unless you are already rich.
You can makes money with money, so you need to have capital to earn a stable incomes. For example if you have money, you can buy mining equipments,
and start  mining to gain stable incomes. But i guess nowadays mining is difficult too, due the price of crypto still on the bottom.
Doing bounties was profitable in 2017-2018, but not at this time, time to take a rest until the market back to good.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto legend creates 'The Next Bitcoin' on: March 26, 2019, 03:30:31 AM

Some coins were called 'The next bitcoin' in the past, but there are no coin can replace bitcoin.
It is not about the coin features only, bitcoin value is very high because peoples already trust it.
Need a long time to gaining trust and value of coin in this cryptocurrency world, not easy.
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2019, A Challenging Year for Ethereum on: March 25, 2019, 01:56:07 AM
Ethereum is still at its best, dominating the dapp market in 2018. It gains the highest active number of dapp users among others. Not just that, it’s leading the market also in terms of wallet holders and total number of dapps.

But despite of the stable growth, Ethereum may find 2019 a tough year to begin with. Aside from the less transaction it has compared to the others, its dapp users needs to maintain an ETH for the gass fee every transaction. This greatly affects the dapp users experience and full mass adoption of Ethereum Dapps.

This is something an Ethereum dapp must consider and/or think about this year.

Source: https://www.dapp.com/article/annual-dapp-market-report-2018?utm_content=Vale

The most challenging thing for Ethereum in 2019 is, the fact that ETH halving was happening recently.
I was expecting the rising price of ETH because of the halving, but the reality is different.
Although some dapps platform not using ETH, most of them are using ETH in this cryptocurrency world.
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Cryptopia fiasco - Only 77 of 459 projects secured on: March 23, 2019, 04:39:35 PM

It was unfortunate that exchange such cryptopia got hacked and the funds lost in big amount.
My coins were there when the exchange hacked, and now i cannot withdraw the coins in my account.
Next time i will withdraw my coins when im not trading in the exchange to avoid case like this.
928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Bitcoin (LBTC) pumping on: March 22, 2019, 01:53:09 AM
So this coin was just over a dollar recently.. now it is nearly $10. I nearly bought some when it was cheaper. Anyone know what's going on with this? I see it hit over $600 last bullrun... Worth investing now? Opinions?

You must see for the long term if you want to invest on the coin, except you just want to trading.
Investing is not about the price at the moment, but for the whole project of the coin.
If you sure that the coin will be useful and adopted by many peoples in the future, then it will be worth to buy more.
929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New project in 2019? on: March 22, 2019, 01:36:21 AM
How many new projects have you entered earlier this year? As much as in 2018?, please give your opinion about the new project that is currently available. Let's discuss its potential for the long term. Thank you.

It is very few, there are no many good projects nowadays in 2019 because the market still bad.
I guess 2017-2018 was the best year for ICO projects, but unfortunately many of them cannot deliver what promised.
About the new projects appearing recently, i still have not find any interesting.
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When bullrun comes on: March 21, 2019, 02:52:21 AM
Ive come in contact with few newbies that are confused about which coins to invest in ,well this is for you, be cautious and stay away from coins that have nothing to offer ,I meant if there is no reason creating that coin its mess, but all the same when bull run comes its win win for everybody ,yes everybody, unless dead coins ,even coins that are lower than 1sat goes over 30sat at last bullrun  even crappy projects became profitable ,I have a family friend that all his highest profits canes from the shit coins ,so worryless bullrun won't come anything soon but it will.

Cryptocurrency is not just about bearish and bullish market, that just some parts of cryptocurrency.
The most important thing is about adoption. Crypto must be adopted by peoples, used by peoples,
Otherwise, crypto won't growing big, the bearish and bullish market will only caused by some pump and dump whales.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not a get rich quick scheme on: March 21, 2019, 02:21:44 AM
But because of the cryptocurrency hype at the end of 2017, many peoples trying to get rich using cryptocurrency.
No wonder after the hype, cryptocurrency gone dump. Now, many newcomers already left crypto i think.
Cryptocurrency is a digital currency that must be used as a currency, not a speculation instrument.
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looked back - lost! on: March 20, 2019, 03:55:20 AM
You are already in cryptocurrency and you should not regret it.
YES, the course is unstable. Sometimes there are mistakes, but do not look back. You will not change anything. It is better to assume that you made the right decision, even if you got a loss.
We need to move only forward, what do you think?

As long you can afford all of your losses from the beginning, you should not regret your action.
Cryptocurrency is unpredictable, so the good and bad outcomes maybe occurred later.
Looking forward is good, but look back to review what will be better next time is not a bad idea too.
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ico fund raising on: March 20, 2019, 03:32:04 AM
Does the amount of money raised in an ico determine the success of the project??

Is a necessity to do a fund raiser in order to start up a project??

Did satoshi nakamoto and vitalik also started a fund raised??

Not really, i have seen some success projects but they didn't raised too much funds, only about 1 million USD.
to starting a project, of course funds are needed to build it. But if you already have enough funds, it won't be necessary to raise more funds.
I think Ethereum was running ICO, selling their ETH at certain rate.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC should be for big whales on: March 19, 2019, 06:37:31 AM
I'm here today to drop my own point about how KYC should be use
- KYC requirement for bounties and airdrops is so unreasonable ,KYC implementation is no doubt a good idea but it should be forced only on big investors that wants to buy large amount of a token either From Exchanges
- there should be limit for KYC requirements e.g like if an investor wants to buy 10,000$ worths of tokens upward then he or she must go through KYC ,just saying

Well, you can freely tell your own opinion about KYC from the bounty hunter point of view.
But some companies may need their token holders data for their legality.
Anyway, it is free for the hunters to decide whether they want to participating in KYC bounty campaign or not.
I usually decide to not participating on some KYC-required bounty campaign if i think the rewards is not worth.
935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Hard Cap on: March 19, 2019, 05:20:38 AM
Is it normal that an ICO has a Hard Cap of 72 million dollar? And as of now I cant find the total supply of the coin so that I can compute the total supply and the value per coin, and I guess they should also put the total supply in their site. What do you think?

$72 million is huge amount indeed, but as long as they have clear purposes of the raised funds, it will be ok.
The most important thing what we need to know first is, whether the ICO company is really exist, or only scam.
Such hardcap will be useless if it is not used to develop the project in the company.
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your wallet from hackers on: March 19, 2019, 04:58:50 AM
To protect our wallet completely from hackers, of course extra cautions will be required.
When visiting the 3rd party website or using 3rd party program, we must ensure it is a legit one to avoid phishing.
and don't forget to backup the wallet periodically because sometimes we can forget where we store the backup.

938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Damages dumping creates on: March 17, 2019, 02:11:44 PM
I think there is a way to fix this dumping problem plaguing crypto space ,its very annoying to see dumpers dumping coins or tokens at a very lower price than that of the ICO price ,dumping kills coins easily ,I think developers should have some kind of deals with exchanges that won't allow people to dump coins at a particular price ,what are your thought?

The most happening dump is when the ICO token just released and not officially listed, but being traded in decentralized exchange.
Like idex, etherdelta, or forkdelta is the most popular decentralized exchanges used to dump the tokens.
Of course the dev or team should take a quick action about the price of their tokens, otherwise it maybe won't recover because too much damage.
939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto advice needed on: March 16, 2019, 02:41:58 PM
Hi cryptonias I have a friend who is very worried about his portfolio because since 2017 he haven't been able to make huge profit out of crypto cos he has no money to invest and i told him to joined airdrop and bounties ,his worries now is all his coins and tokens are not popular ones  this is his list
1)Apollo currency
2)electroneum
3)senno
4)slate currency
5)avinoc
6)snapparrazi
Etc all this are make from airdrops and bounties and the highest ones are around 50$ presently the rest are 30$ down ,what kinda advice should I pass onto him?

If you are doing bounties from 2017, you should have an experience of huge reward, because bounties was very much worth at 2017.
I wonder if your friend really doing bounties since 2017. All of their token / coins he got, seems like only worthless coins.
Airdrops and bounties are not profitable for now, the differences just too far from the bull market in 2017.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long does Ico last? on: March 15, 2019, 05:10:48 AM
How long does Ico last?

So, my friend is participating in the subscription campaign in the OUTOFTHLOUD project. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4814891.0
then something has changed and now https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5085373
The rewards program began on August 1 and continues to this day. It has been 8 long months. Posts in social networks stopped at the end of 2018. For all Telegram questions, when the program ends for a fee, my friend gets one answer - after Ico. When asked when Ico will end - silence.
It’s a pity to throw a signature, it turns out 8 months of work wasted ...

Tell me, is there a limit on the duration of Ico? It can not last forever?

It will vary how much time they need to get participants take a part in their ICO.
Usually, it will last until the hardcap hit, or in certain range of time like 2 months or so.
Many ICOs now are facing difficulty to raise the funds, maybe it is because the bad market situation that still not recovered yet.
