The Ledger wallet supports Ark, so I believe Ark will be valued in the long term. I keep it in my wallet.

I think refunds happen when...
- ICO goal is not met and it is "cancelled"
- ICO goal is met. Excess contribution is rejected/not accepted.
If you just changed your mind, I've never heard of any who got a refund. Wait for your token then sell it...or pray either of the above happens.

Made a massive jump today, one of the biggest in the altcoin market. So ARK was a hodl after all, and probably still will be for the coming months.

Altcoin works like Bitcoin also but Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency that hits the market and Altcoins were just like copying Bitcoin's platform and patterns. There are no significant differences of Bitcoin and Altcoins except the value.

I watched a WAVES sales video on how easy it is to create a token with it. That sales pitch to me is like a giant red flag. I used to work on IT (2 decades ago) and none with such "nice" feature survived. I equate the tokens created on it to instant noodles...it is super convenient, easy, and cheap but at the end of the day it is not comparable to one that is properly prepared and cooked by a chef.
Not sure if I am making sense but that is it for me.
You can't compare cooking and create a token  Your token won't be better because you spent hours to create it. Minutes or hours, the result is the same: you have a token with a good taste. Lets agree to disagree. They won't be comparable... |

WAVES I was excited with it earlier but after I went in deeper, I lost interest/faith in it. As I posted before, maybe it is worth another look.
Im interested in why you came to this point of view? Why did you loose faith? I also just started a few months ago with waves, and so far, there was really nothing that made a bad impression (only the trade volume on the DEX could be higher, but thats not WAVES fault). People use words that fit how they want to express themselves. Those words may have different meanings to different people...depending on their education, culture, emotional state, etc. I try to understand the message being conveyed and not get hung up on the message itself. I've read many posts here that made my head spin...and if I get hung on them...would make me crazy (literally) LOL So try to just take what you can and move on! It is much healthier for you.  |

I'm positive most of these people also have no clue what the project behind the coin (or token but I guess that's taking it one step further...)...

It is like transference. You want to make money...ergo, you like/love things that help you attain/keep it. Be it your job, car, colleagues, coin, job, politician, spouse, friends, stock broker, etc. etc. Normal and nothing wrong with it IMHO. |

I think $0.25 is a realistic target (within 6 months) for this coin which is about x10 the ICO (x5 current price). I know the single exchange trading it (KuCoin) is holding it back but I believe/hope it will be listed in other exchanges later and that day will be celebrated (by me at least). Some are posting a $1 target and while it is not impossible, I personally won't hold my breath for it. Would be great if it does though. What is your prediction for RPX the next 6-12 months?

So I was all set to enter the alt coin markets before segwit2x. Picked iota, vertcoin, walton, lisk, neo and binance... And what happens, bloody fork canceled and my picks rocket up today by an average of 20%. Now I am left with 15000 euros uninvested and wondering what to buy and when. Gutted.  Normally you enter cryptoworld via BTC (or ETH, LTC)...so for now, since you are holding Euros, you better wait for BTC to go down before purchasing. Your wait may take weeks. Investing in alts will depend on where the good coins are at that point. Good luck! |

We know the fork was cancelled. Few days ago someone said to me after fork the alt coins price will go up, You guys what do you think ? What's your plan ? Can you tell us.
It is hard to say anything. Everybody is scared of altcoins nowadays and all ready to panic and dump them back. Everybody??? LOL Please speak only for yourself. It only applies to those who do not have foresight. Losers see gloom and doom...winners see opportunities. |

BTC forks are annoying but I am thankful...it gave me opportunity to purchase alts at a bargain. The cancellation just accelerated what is to come for alts by a week. |

I don't see any cheap altcoins now. They all are more than their value in March 2017. How could you call them cheap? Their USD value is same as pumped prices.
"CHEAP" is relative. I tend to look at it vs. the near future (anticipated) value. Like how the old $300 per BTC price is relatively cheap compared to the $7,000 value now. |

Hey, not all hard forks create new coins. This is just an upgrade of Bitcoin cash mining algorithm. No new bitcoin cash will be created, just the people who don't upgrade the software won't be able to send or receive BCH.
Thanks. I may be mistaken but the way I understood it is that a new coin will be generated. However, in uncontested fork (like this one hopefully will be)...the old/original coin will be abandoned (left to die). The new coin will likely be given the old name so most won't know it even happened. |

I personally believe this is a great time to buy good alt coins. Price is way down as market has shifted to buying BTC. Some more than 50%.
What percentage of your crypto is in alts vs BTC ?
As of this moment, I no longer have BTC (except for some "crumbs" scattered in various exchanges). I used it all to buy cheap alts. Will cash out some after they rebound and hold some BTC then. It is my chosen strategy vs the free Segwit2X coin. Both will work but I believe this one will yield higher return. Hope I am not mistaken. Quoting myself...LOL I guess I made the right call...portfolio is up 33% since this morning. 33% gain on your portfolio isnt really bad at all since we did only need to wait for just few weeks to see our investment grow. For those people did able to buy cheap altcoin are now on profits or greens but yet would really depend on which coins did they purchase and also we should brace ourselves on possible pumps on alts since segwit fork is being canceled already. Actually I am hoping for a 100% rebound for some alts the next few days/weeks. We will see.  |
