921  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run near already? on: August 12, 2023, 04:33:55 AM
Looks like its getting closer. I get that some people may not end up seeing it work at the time but that doesn't mean that we are going to not have it soon enough. I think its quite important to realize that we are at a stage where its going to be quite possible for the price to make as much profit as it possibly could. I think its going to be a great situation and we are going to end up with a great profit in the end. I get it, its not easy to be optimistic about bitcoin price after 1.5+ years of bear market and this is why everyone is trying to be more decent about it. But that doesn't mean that its going to fail, I think its going to be as good as it gets without a trouble from here on out.

Still take months for us to see the bitcoin bull run, we have to wait for it's final catalyst of halving before we can say that we are going to be in bullish state and it might run for another year or two and then we will see a new all time high.

So for us it looks like it is very far, and yet we all know that in crypto, how time flies. Next month we will be in the last quarter of the year, and after that end of 2023. We just need to be more patience though and wait till next year and then March we will have our block halving, give or take a few more days.
922  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Statc Stealer, targets crypto wallets and sensitive information on: August 12, 2023, 03:42:05 AM
Very information and true, this is happening to the biggest youtubers and content creators also to the Crypto Influencers who are famous on Twitter. They are often sent a PDF file which they claim is terms and conditions for their new $120k per month sponsorship for a Crypto project and they simply put virus in their system which copies all the data as mentioned in the post above. I have seen this happening to many of them and in fact some of them lost everything they had in their wallets. Never download any PDF or document from an untrusted resource.

Yes, I came across those youtube influencers but we know right? We should be downloading any of them as we shouldn't trust anyone in crypto sphere not even those so called influencers because we don't know what's their intention behind.

Maybe they are supposedly helping us, but at the back of it, if you download something from them, like a harmless PDF files or even videos itself, it could contain some malwares that can quickly sniff everything in our computers.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Rodriguez vs Lopez - vacant IBF bantamweight (Aug. 13) on: August 11, 2023, 10:30:14 AM
I'm only familiar with Rodriguez because Inoue totally annihilated him in their match on the WBSS, you can see his face bleeding and then that body punch that Inoue throw ended the match early.

But it seems that he has bounce back already and so with another chance to win the vacant IBF. And most likely he has the experience that's why the odds is on his favor against a relatively unknown Lopez in bantamweight.
924  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is ready for $40k on: August 11, 2023, 10:15:20 AM
Yes bitcoin price will touch 40k now. And it will go much further than 40K. Bitcoin price is now poised to rise above 40k as Bitcoin price has been hovering around 30k for almost three months now. Moreover almost all of us know that there is going to be a big bull market in bitcoin which will skyrocket the price of bitcoin and it will be worth around 100k. And in this we can easily understand that bitcoin price will touch 40k and go much higher than 40k.
40k mark is definitely a must for Bitcoin especially with the fact showing that it has already touched and surpassed such figure before. the only problem with Bitcoin actually acquiring the 40k mark is that no one actually knows the time for it to climb which creates more curiosity and hope for people who are expecting for it to reach that mark because most anxious crypto enthusiast will know that this particular time is very perfect for buying.

Yeah, we have seen $30,000 already or even $31,000. So for now the biggest challenge that we are looking at $40,000 and it seems very far from now as the price is below still below $30,000 although there are some semblance that we could reach that price again. Nevertheless, price still looks good and maybe we can see some action this month. At least $32,000 could be our first goal this August and maybe we can talk about $40,000 in the last quarter as usually we headed strong that month specially we are anticipating the bull run next year after the halving.

I believe it will take sometime for us to witness Bitcoin surging to $40k .  there is not enough news to bring hype to the market and most of the news recently is about SEC suing exchanges.  The halving that will happen next year might be one of the bigger catalyst to see Bitcoin surging to $40k.  Only news that creates huge hype and FOMO will move the Bitcoin market price to $40k but it looks like it won't happen anytime soon.

Yes, as much as we wanted to see this early and taste $40k and see our portfolio growing in terms of fiat, it's not going to happen. On the other hand, getting to $30k is already a problem as well. As we touch it briefly and then the it didn't sustain it's run in the last couple of days and so the price is < $30k again.

There are a lot of negative news and then those perma bears used it to create FOMO amongst cypto investors . So I also believed that it might take some time to reach our goal of $40k at the end of the year.
925  Economy / Speculation / Re: Adam Back's Bullish Bet on: August 11, 2023, 07:50:26 AM
Is this a million dollars or a million satoshi? If it was a million satoshis, then we are talking about a bet of about $ 300 or, in the worst cases, less than $ 1,500. Do you think that such a bet is something serious?
This was reminded of the crazy bets that John McAfee was making and what's going on here is not that different.

I'm under the impression that this could be $1m that they are talking about. Specially for Adam Back, this is just a drop from his millions and I can say that he can afford such bet.

Some tweeters consider Adam Back as the new bitcoin jesus. No one can predict what will happen to the price, but the bet on $100,000 came from historical data saying that after halving it is possible, but the price still needs several months.

First time to hear that the has considered as Bitcoin Jesus, because we have heard Bitcoin Moises, Lol. For sure, they're going to have some fun on this bet specially that everyone expects a very bullish bitcoin in the next coming months.
926  Economy / Scam Accusations / [Warning]: Statc Stealer, targets crypto wallets and sensitive information on: August 11, 2023, 07:40:21 AM
Another variant of crypto stealers has been discovered lately, called Statc Stealer. It is defined as a sophisticated malware that targets Windows OS for now, steals sensitive information, including web browsers, crypto wallets and other social media platform passwords. It is so sophisticated that it was developed using C++ and so has a evading skills and sandbox detection.

Mode of infection:

Quote
The Zscaler ThreatLabz team recently discovered Statc Stealer. This malicious software gains access to a victim’s data by appearing like an authentic Google advertisement. Once the victim clicks on the advertisement, their operating system is infected with malicious code that steals sensitive data like credentials from web browsers, credit card information, and cryptocurrency wallet details. Unauthorized access to a victim’s computer system can have enormous personal and professional repercussions. Victims become easy targets for identity theft, cryptojacking, and other forms of malware attacks. At the enterprise level, a Statc Stealer breach can result in financial loss, reputational damage, legal liabilities, and regulatory penalties.

Attack Chain:

So once you download it in your system, it will steal every information that it can find and then send it to a command and control server. So they will have total control of your system then.

Targeted Browsers:

 - Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Brave
- Opera
- Yandex
- Mozilla Firefox

Stealing auto-fill data:

- Usernames and passwords
- Email
- Credit card details
- Personal addresses
- Payment information

Crypto related wallets:

- Cryptocom-Wallet
- Petra-aptos-wallet
- exodus-web3-wallet
- bitkeep-crypto-nft-wallet
- liquality-wallet
- ethos-sui-wallet
- suite-sui-wallet
- tallsman-polkadot-wallet
- Enkrypt-ethereum-polkadot
- leap-cosmos-wallet
- pontem-aptos-wallet
- fewcha-move-wallet
- rise-aptos-wallet
- teleport-wallet
- martin-wallet-aptos-sui
- avana-wallet-solana-wallet
- glow-solana-wallet-beta
- solflare-wallet

https://www.zscaler.com/blogs/security-research/statc-stealer-decoding-elusive-malware-threat

So we should be really be careful of what we click and downloaded in the net right now specially if we are using the same pc or laptop for our crypto related activities including wallet softwares as we might be the next victim of this kind of malware.
927  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of Cryptoshuffler on: August 10, 2023, 11:44:55 AM
Yes, this is nothing new, this is called Clipboard stealer, and there are a lot of variants of it along the years and it has been called with different names.

@LoyceV even created a dedicated thread for it here: How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V.

So the best thing to do is just to check multiple times the addresses before we send anything to it.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sudden Wealth Syndrome (SWS) In Gambling on: August 10, 2023, 10:07:46 AM
Have you experienced this feeling and what are the steps that you've taken to fight this Sudden Wealth Syndrome (SWS)

Yeah, for sure, I will say that my judgement is clouded because I don't know what to do with my big winnings that time. Nevertheless, not sure if that is what we call SWS because I just easily buy everything that I can get my hands.

Do you think people who have a chance to make a lot of money should be aware of this and do you know what you're going to do if you won a big amount of money?

Maybe, so that they will know what do you and that they will have the right decisions when something come to there way. It could be just like $10,000 but it could also be big in their local currency. Compare to millions if not billions that someone will will in a lottery.
929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 10, 2023, 09:36:01 AM
^^ Lol, I thought it is Jake Paul, but his younger who is going to fight. And same as what his brothers is doing, fighting another MMA artist in a stand up fight in boxing, so that they will have the advantage and most likely will win.

It's interesting that DAZN is carrying this fight, they will have to ride on the Paul brothers hype train in this exhibitions because this is business and there are a lot of money that is going to be made here.
930  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30000 is becoming the resistant price on: August 10, 2023, 09:17:30 AM
Allover thinking i can tell $30k is actually resistant price. We are seeing there has bren many days bitcoin price near about $30k. Some times Bitcoin price falling but within short time It revource and again $30k.

Ok, if you look at the price movement, it was a huge resistance for two months, and then we actually breach it with the news of Blackrock ETF application. And then after that it goes on our support until it fell to $28k. Now we are trying to get back at $30k and then put it as a support line.

But it's not that easy, resistance is very strong that when we have a chance to come closer again, there are huge sell orders in exchanges that's why the price goes down like today, it is price at $29,400.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots fever on: August 09, 2023, 10:47:36 AM
The first time I tried slots in my life, I use 1Eur to make 240Euro, this was my most joyous day in gambling, it was so unexpected, I freaked out and freaking lost my mind, since then I started believing that gambling do have some surprises when you don't expect them.

That is the effect of slots my friend, obviously, based on luck, but if you have it, then you can multiple to even higher winnings.

The saddest Slots spinning day was when I use 300$ to spin for hours and had on 20$ left, that was where I finally decided to cash out, I felt bad for a week before I got over it, that was when I started having a gambling limit in mind.

This is the other side of it, when you feel that you are going to win and play with huge money, then it might go on the opposite direction. It's good that you have control and cash out what's remains of it. But for others, it's all or nothing games.

Till today, I have had some losses and also some fine hits, what about you guys? Do you have any Slots spinning story to share? I'm sure some people are more lucky than many others.

I have a good play on 50 lions, win big that night, just like you last of the remaining money I had, I took a gamble and won like $4k. I withdraw and play like $600 and didn't won so I just went home. This is traditional land base casino though, and several years back. However, I wasn't able to duplicate that night again.  Cry
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: August 09, 2023, 10:04:43 AM
Do you guys think that Francis Ngannou gas tank will be enough to run 12 rounds? Somehow doubts that he will have enough stamina for the whole fights start to raise in my head. We rarely seen him having long fights. His explosive fighting style consumes a lot of energy. While Fury, despite his lifestyle and body, can easily go for long fights. I dont think that we would see a lucky punch in this fight. Fury is a professional boxer, a champion with huge experience background. A lucky punch has so little chance to be in this fight, that imho it is better consider chances of it to be close to zero.

I also doubt that he will have a gas tank ready for full 12 rounds against the best version of Tyson Fury. We've seen Nate Diaz against Jake Paul and it seems that Diaz has losing his legs and stamina as the round goes by.

And if you look at Francis body, it is not built to go to distance in fight, he has huge body and could be tiring at the end of round 3 because he has to carry that weight and muscles. And as compare to Fury who has been training his whole life to go 12 rounds if necessary. So if this fight goes to distance, then Fury has a better chance to win by a knockout.
933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top Crypto Execs Confident SEC Will Approve Spot Bitcoin ETFs on: August 09, 2023, 09:50:45 AM
I guess it never dies because people keep posting about it? Remember in 2017 top banking and top crypto execs said the same thing about ETFs and guess what it's now 6 years later and they're saying the same thing.

Some of these guys make a living from selling quotes, so don't be too dependent on what they say. They're paid to do so Wink

yes, I do remember the hype on 2017 and everything related to bitcoin, not sure what happen to BAKKT though because it seems that time they are really that hype regarding bitcoin.

So it's an early speculation about this top crypto execs, for sure they have their narrative behind as to why they wanted a approval. For sure they can smell wall street money flowing in the crypto market and they will have a lot of clients for sure.
934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 08, 2023, 12:09:19 AM
f
But Jake says that his stamina is getting better as he has more fight. Obviously, his body is getting used to it. However, if he faces like a former boxer and not ex MMA, it could be a different story just like what happen to the Tommy Fury fight.

It is because he trains regularly. He isnt furry and fluffy kid in a gym anymore. In fact he is on a good level. He is not afraid to challenge more experienced guys. As to Tommy Fury, dont forget that Jake went full distance with him and managed to land few good punches. That is against a pro boxer. And lets not forget that Jake so far does not have a long amateur career like lots of professional boxers. If he had 30-50 amateur fights, like most professionals have, it would be a completely different fight against Tommy.

Jake Paul might have some talent but do we not overrate him? He challenges his more experienced guys, but not in the boxing field. His loss against Tommy Fury was a split decision, but Tommy Fury also only have 9 fights and 12 amateur fights. No discredit to Fury also as he is undefeated but also not really experienced; I would like to see Paul box against a real experienced boxer with a good record and then we can really talk.
On a side note: I saw the match of Logan Paul vs Seth Rollins live and that was a pretty good match, even though Paul has only done a couple of matches in the WWE.

I guess we can say that he is overrated if he keeps on fighting ex-MMA or ex-UFC fighters because it seems that he has a good records against them. But with a more experience boxer or even with with Tommy Fury got, he was able to beat Jake Paul.

So yeah, maybe next time if he can call out some ex-boxer then we can give him some credit. But for know it seems that he is staying away in facing that kind of opponents because he knows he will get smoke.
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Emmanuel Navarette - Aug 12 on: August 05, 2023, 11:32:55 PM
Valdez has proven time and time again why he is a capable fighter, some even say he's the next to step into Pacquiao's path which is a lot for a boxer that hasn't had anything going for him until recently.

If there is a boxer than can follow Manny Pacquiao, I think it could be Inoue. And even Manny has given Inoue his blessings as they met in Japan.

Not discrediting Navarette here and I know he's going to give us a good fight but I believe that Oscar could win this by a massive upset and a massive knock-out. He's been methodical in his every play and he's able to get back up his feet and defeat his opponent without question numerous times even before that massive victory prior to this fight. Navarette has done the same but I just felt like Oscar's got this in the bag despite the odds not being in his favor. We'll just have to see how this fight goes when it all resolves I guess. But oscar's getting this W no doubt.

If Valdez win, then it's not called a upset mate, he is the favorite in this fight. But the odds makers are putting this fight to go distance. So meaning there might be knockdown/s along the way, but there will be no knockout. But I'm not discounting that perhaps Oscar will used his left hook as his weapons to knockout Navarette as Emmanuel doesn't believed in defense and will just try to bully his opponents.
936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 05, 2023, 11:07:47 PM

I decided to sit on this fight and will just watch some highlights afterwards if I cannot make it to the fight time because, I personally have no interests in fights that got Jake Paul's name on it even if Nate Diaz's name is added, it will be a sure loss in the latter's side because this sport is not for him and he doesn't have any KO power to start with.

Nate Diaz will just be on that ring to collect his paycheck and nothing else, the one things that gets me interested is their rematch in the octagon, although it's not that sure but it is more enticing to watch rather than their first encounter.

Yup! For sure I will be sitting this event as well this is an obvious fight and we all know what may happen between these two fighters, for me, it also has not had good odds, sure Jake Paul will give it to Nate Diaz some fans is likely still in support for Diaz despite that this fight is pretty much obvious where it will go and Nate Diaz surely is aware of this and that he only needed the money provided when he shows himself to the fight and it is kind of a hefty money at that

Obviously, this is the fight that I think a slightly worth watching because the other fighter is not in the MMA but likely is a boxer as well so it could also go in the other direction regarding the situation and maybe an upset, even though this is a picked fight for Anthony Joshua, and Whyte also wants a rematch,

In any case, match room's Eddie Hearn can find a replacement fighter here so that this fight is not totally postponed as others boxers in the undercard have prepared already. And for sure we will follow the case as Whyte is going to appeal and proved that he is innocence.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MicroStrategy Turns Profitable with Bitcoin and Plans for More Growth on: August 05, 2023, 10:55:25 AM
If the other companies see Microstrategy’s big profits, they will definitely get jealous and wanna bite from them profits. MS is doing a good job investing in btc because of this. Tesla did the same thing too. I don’t know the last updates on this but I remember that Elon said they are not going to sell the remaining btc Tesla holds. Maybe we will see Apple or Amazon making an investment in bitcoin too. If Tesla did it, the other FAANG companies can do it as well.

I disagree though, if they have seen the Tesla or MS is making money with bitcoin, then Amazon or Apple could also go pubic and tell that they are investing. But they know how volatile it is, so they are not going to put in their balance sheet just like what MS or Saylor is doing.

And I'm in the conclusion that MS is still break even at $29k++ price of bitcoin right now.

Of course they can make money in the next bull run, but it will be in the next 2 years that big companies doesn't want to take the risk. They would rather have the money right now and move it inside, and not into bitcoin.
938  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin will accepted worldwide for legal then price rising $100k?? on: August 05, 2023, 09:56:47 AM
Well yes I think the price of Bitcoin would be very high if we saw it legal all over the world. But this is just a imagination you are having. And I do not think this will happen not for a long time at least.

And so far we have like El Salvador accepting it as legal tender, and to some extend, countries like Japan and Germany too are very open about it and very bitcoin friendly countries. But for other nations, they are still very reluctant to even accept it, much more to legalized it because of so many questions about it.

We like to talk about the number 100k very much. I think for price of Bitcoin to be 100k it will take more adoption and regulation from big government bodies. This will make us see this big number we all want to see in our lifes.

Probably it's because in the last all time high, we have been anticipating $100k but it didn't happen. So right now, this is the numbers that we have in our mind in the next bull run, at least 6 digits and any higher than $100k is already a bonus for us.
939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Discussion about ETH on: August 05, 2023, 09:29:54 AM
Low tax? tax is depend on where you live and your nationally, I think what you meant is low gas fee.

Perhaps this is what the OP meant, because we all know that ETH is used to be one of the fastest crypto before, unfortunately, if my memory serves me right, the start of the crypto kitties really put a lot of stress in the network of ETH and the fees started to go up.

The discussion about ETH 2.0 has been existed since long time ago and it looks like Vitalik Buterin not really care since there's no altcoin overtake ETH's position yet. Proof Of Stake is centralized and it never been a good protocol due to centralized.

True, it's been years of discussion, even prior to the pandemic, we have heard about ETH 2.0 and it's numerous delays and roadmap. But still the high ETH gas fees was not resolved. And on the other hand, it become more centralized that ever.

The best undervalued crypto right now is Bitcoin.

It is because we are still in the bear market. But once the market goes on a bull run, $100k or more is on the horizon for all of us.
940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 05, 2023, 09:04:50 AM
The Lakers giving Anthony Davis $186,000,000 with a three year extension seems a bit insane given how much time he has missed. He’d better start staying healthy for the amount of money they’re giving him. 62 million dollars when he only plays about 50 games in a good year seems like like overpaying. I sure hope that contract doesn’t come back to bite them.

Anthony Davis is eligible for the maximum contract extension with that huge worth. Therefore, if the given contract is probably below, Davis might just spend the remaining 2 years on his contract and then consider leaving. What the Lakers do is secure him early despite being an injured prone.

In fairness to Anthony Davis, he's the only player I know that even an injury prone, he can unleash his monster performance right away after returning to play.

Referring to his last season performance, Davis was able to keep his average percentage after being sidelined for several games.

Yeah but the NBA is a contract cap league not like the major league baseball league.  Meaning if AD is injured the Lakers won't have any room to sign anyone else.  They are locked into Lebron and AD and both are older and on the downward trajectory of theor careers.  They will sell seats but they aren't going to win anything with old dudes sucking up all the cap room.

I think they are still playing well; LeBron and Davis have good statistics during the playoffs. It's just that they fall short because they lack some players who could improve their team, particularly on the defensive side. If they can sign a big man to help Davis in the paint and consistent 3-point shooters, I believe they could become a championship team.

The good thing with the Lakers is that they already have LeBron and AD, both of whom have won championships together. So their teammates have confidence in them and trust that they can lead again. Yes, they lost to the Nuggets, which doesn't look good as they were swept. However, let's see in the coming season, and I believe they'll avenge their losses, especially when both AD and LeBron are healthy.

They didn't expect how lethal the line up of Denver last season so I guess they learn a lot with that. Their current roster is already a title contender since they got a lot of talents acquired this off season so for sure many Lakers fans are excited to see their hop again due to their new addition. But let see how far they can go since its up to their coach now on how they can facilitate their strong roster since they need to develop their teams confidence and chemistry to work well together.

For it's the buildup, and the chemistry of the team that really brought them into championship level. Murray just got injured in a prior season and then Porter Jr if I'm not mistaken has suffered from back spam that really bother him.

And with the team healthy last season, we can see how they become the top contender in the West and then totally dominated the playoffs although they have to contend against Booker and Durant.

But after that, it was a mismatch with Miami in the finals.
