921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: when should bitcoin hodlers start spending ? on: November 06, 2017, 12:37:56 PM
HODL/Investment = Profit
at some point spending will begin...

Anytime they like i think. Depends on how long you can resist the temptation or how hard is your faith in bitcoin. As long as you won't regret spending its ok.
922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 is the Year for Bitcoins.... on: November 06, 2017, 12:30:33 PM
I was browsing for news in bitcoins last week when I got intrigue with this title in an news article.  In deed, the biggest test for bitcoins in this year for there are a lot of scares with its operations.  There has been issues with its legal basis as China and South Korea has halted their exchange operations.  The all time low bitcoin value then the sudden increase of its worth... It has been a roller coaster... but thankfully it survive and here we are...

More roller coaster rides to come my friend! So hold on as tight as you can. Going to the moon is a very rough ride. When large investments enter thats where the rough ride begins.
924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where are you all holding your Bitcoin for the fork? on: November 06, 2017, 07:49:17 AM
I'm holding all of mine in Freebitco.in. I'm honestly too lazy to do anything else.

Me also. Having some fun while waiting releases some stress. I also place some on hashnest.
925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price Worth $7500 on: November 06, 2017, 07:37:06 AM
Bitcoin Price Will Have ‘No Difficulty’ Hitting $10,000,
After Bitcoin hit $7,000 and stayed above it Monday, the virtual currency’s most famous fans are confident $10,000 will involve little effort.
Will the bitcoin price reach $10k by the end of the year, then what about the altco price??

It wil be a downtime after the s2x hardfork. No more reasons to hold bitcoin. Time to get the profit and re enter again as soon as it fell down like about 20%. But expect another rise when another hardfork comes to near.
926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some governments prohibit bitcoin circulation? on: November 05, 2017, 12:18:11 PM
Is this the same with "why some countries banned bitcoin?" thread?

Because everything beyond their control gives fear to them. That's why they keep on denying bitcoin's existence. They have no control over it.
927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin online payments on: November 05, 2017, 12:12:06 PM
When will the youtube and other websites start to pay us with bitcoin?

Soon, but not in bitcoin i think. Google is a huge company. They might create their own coin and will be use to all of their services. And other companies will do that too. I think that will be the future of cryptocurrency and bitcoin will be the center of it.
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unsecured WiFi on: November 05, 2017, 10:44:23 AM
This is a hypothetical question. I am wondering, can my desktop wallet be hacked if I log into an unsecured WiFi hotspot even if I do not log into my bitcoin desktop wallet? I am wondering because I travel a lot, and when travelling I sometimes log into coffee shop WiFi hotspots. I don't keep a lot of funds on the desktop but I'm wondering about this.

I think as long you dont log in, and also keep your keys and passwords somewhere else you'll be safe.
929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who wants to be a Bitcoin Millionaire?! on: November 05, 2017, 09:00:35 AM

Take your guess as to when $7,500 will be hit!

Bitcoin will reach 7,500 later 11/6/2017 00:00 UTC

Just a hunch.
930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Government. on: November 05, 2017, 08:01:08 AM
Is it good combination about bitcoin and our current government? lets talk about this things if these two option was combined in the future, Our government used bitcoin and spread to every people in there countries. For me it is good. why?

Because:
1. Is good for all businessman for good transactions. Buy something and sell something.
2. Is good for payments needs to pay like billings every month.
3. For less time and moved for travelling on anywhere we want.
4. Its easy to transfer money from other country with less taxes. this favor is aprove for ofw's
5. Easy to transfer money if they needed immediately like emergencies. pay for medicine.

Theres a lot of good reason.

So idealistic. I like that too. But for the corrupt government, not a chance. They want to put tax on anything, bitcoin's existence is a great hindrance to them. The world of politics is full of greed.
931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 100.000 new coinbase users in 24 hours. on: November 04, 2017, 10:09:22 PM
I’ve come across this news:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-exchange-coinbase-adds-100000-users-in-24-hrs-shows-surging-interest-in-crypto

At first, I couldn’t believe it, 100.000 new users are a lot of users. The article says it is due to CME announcement but what I think as a result of it is that it is just the beginning of the next push. Unless some major unexpected event happens, we are on a bull market for a while.

Registered users only. But will they buy bitcoin? Buying bitcoin from coinbase its not available in our country. But coinbase is the payout method on some free bitcoin apps and many in our country using those free bitcoin apps.
932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I hate 90% of Bitcoin investors on: November 04, 2017, 09:28:35 PM
Most people that investing bitcoin now, are just investing to make money. It annoys the hell out of me. 90% of people haven't read the white paper! Don't even know why decentralisation is a good thing! Don't know why the blockchain is such a revolutionary invention! It annoys me so much! These people just invest because they want to "get rich quick".

And the annoying thing is that if someone had told me about bitcoin 6 years ago, I still would have put all of my money into it. Unfortunately I'm only 16 so I didn't know ANYONE (when I was 9) that would tell me about bitcoin. I only just heard of it 7 months ago and henceforth, have become OBSESSED with crypto. Now I've dropped out of school for crypto and it really does my nut in when all I hear is "Bitcoin to $10K!", "Bitcoin to $20k!".

Deep down I actually hope that the bubble (yes it is a mini-bubble) pops after the Segwit fork and that the price goes back down to $2k. That way all of these stupid investors can suck their thumbs and get taught a lesson. 90% of these people also would have said bitcoin was a scam 9-15 months ago but now look at them. They run around like fucking idiots screaming "BLOCKCHAAINN!!!", "DECENTRALISATIONNNN!!!".

Smh.

Rant over.

Dont get mad kiddo. If you're mad at them, you're maybe one of them right? You're fortunate cause you already understand whats behind the technology. Just go on and go back to school. Education is more valuable than bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies existing. You still have more years to go.
933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More and more BitcoinATMs on: November 04, 2017, 09:10:52 PM
Do you think if there is any chance that amount of BitcoinATM will be similar as normal ATM in the future?

Well yes! BTC is still not in the mainstream yet. There are still some places bitcoin is not accepted. I hope i can try that ATM.
934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin Is Too Complicated for Average People! on: November 04, 2017, 09:01:22 PM
Its only us people who complicated things.we want to earn more but we dont want to lose a little. We sometimes get paranoid when BTC value dips, we cant sleep, we're thinking we might get bankrupted. It will be only complicated if you risk everything. Try spending what you can afford to lose and let it flow. You'll see, its not complicated actually.
935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡ Electroneum ⚡ Token Sale Sept 14th Mobile Mining Crypto Coin on: November 02, 2017, 11:23:59 AM
If the delay continue for a long time, by the time they'll launch it, everyone might dump everything due to frustrations. Just keep calm and everything goes fine.
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡ Electroneum ⚡ Token Sale Sept 14th Mobile Mining Crypto Coin on: November 01, 2017, 09:04:17 PM
can this realistically be mined using mobiles?

Of course not. They should have banned or at least limited CPU\GPU mining. And it's not. So no point at all to use smartphone to mine ETNs (and it's not active too).

Since it's just simulated mining on mobile, they can adjust the reward rate on the mobile miner however they want, as long as they still have plenty of ETNs in the mobile mining reward reserve.

Of course you can, here is a test of so many mining software for mobiles

https://imgur.com/a/V8wsg

but as they say, it is not recommended as it would slowly kill the battery of your smarphone (I only use it in a phone that I have obsolete so there is no problem) or as a temporary solution to lower the frequency to the cpu

the truth I thought that the miner of this currency would be exclusively cpu, or mobile phones, just to with just include the gpu would think twice mining with cpu (imagine mining with a telephone..., having rigs of gpu professionals) (is my umilde opinion as a newbie miner)

PD, any doubt with the app that I use, send me mp

very interesting. but sadly, i dont have a spare mobile phone. all my mobile wallets are in my only one phone. cant afford to kill it.  Smiley
937  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: Exposed? on: November 01, 2017, 08:15:59 PM
FAILON NGAYON is a show where they expose those sorts scams / corruptions / malicious doings. So its just normal that they relate Bitcoin to a scam. Because its their job to make that kind of topic. There are no more technology related shows in the Philippines (i think, like KNOWLEDGE POWER), that is why people are likely to be ignorant when it comes to progress of technology.

Since it is their job to make that kind of topic, is it not also their job to give people the right information? If they know they cannot get their facts straight, why would they then have to come out and spew garbage? I just pity the people who listen to them, cause they would apparently be so naive enough not to do research by themselves since the so called leading news program could not. That is a kind of show that should be discarded like an ant's fart.

well like what i posted their job is just to expose, but not to clear things up. they left the viewers hanging. and its up to us viewers to find out more somewhere else. lucky for us that we're blessed with open minds that's why we just don't believe to medias so easily. we just have to hold on what we believe what is true.
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡ Electroneum ⚡ Token Sale Sept 14th Mobile Mining Crypto Coin on: November 01, 2017, 07:01:01 PM
is there anyone using claymore for mining ETN? i got an error message "wrong wallet addres". i just copy paste the lines from electroneum site and place my wallet address without the spaces. any help will be appreciated. thank you.  Smiley

You can use claymore gpu miner v9.7 (instead of v10)

thanks. but i only use CPU (dont have a GPU, sorry i didnt mentioned CPU). thanks anyways. i think its on ETN's network side that cause this problem. i check their explorer and search the wallet address they gave and no search results found. i already did what others are telling, to remove the spaces to make the wallet address a one-liner. maybe i'll just wait.  Smiley
