The Matrix...when I first heard about it, I expected just another sci-fi action thriller. Good and filled with insane stunts, but not terribly intelligent.
Boy, was I wrong. Oh, the stunts are there in spades, all right, and yes, they are awesome. And the special effects are absolutely amazing (even if similar ones have been used in other movies as a result- and not explained as well).

The foundation that Bitcoin was based on is the idea that the inventors would have mined billions of dollars worth of them before the market took off. And that in itself shows that Labour have already done all the possible damage to democracy. What need is there for technology to disrupt things when they can breed six billion hunger factories and give them little hammer and sickle badges?

926  Other / Off-topic / Re: Apollo 11 fake or real? on: June 09, 2014, 03:51:20 PM
Can't tell for sure, but there is plenty of reasons to suspect it's fake. Some of the reasons are, USS Liberty, JFK , MLK, RFK, Gulf of Tonkin, Afghanistan, Iraq,  9/11, Boston, Sandy Hook, not to mention the photo anomalies and the radiation belt. Need I say more?
927  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US culture vs Indian culture on: June 09, 2014, 03:08:37 PM
Despite all these cultural differences, we need international relations(India–United States relations) for development. You all know on 05 June 2014, media reported that India Prime Minister Narendra Modi had responded to US President Barak Obama's invitation to travel to Washington with the intention of visiting Washington in September 2014 for bilateral talks with the US Government.

For example, in Asian countries, when the children of a household gets married, they are welcome to live in their family home while western couples are expected to move out into their own place to start their own life and family.

If the couples move out to their family houses, then it is definitely the right thing to do. Adults should be self-sufficient, especially those who are married. What is the point in living with all the extended family members, as there will be frequent quarrels and lack of privacy?
I agree with you, when you live with your family there is absolute no privacy .But there are many countries on this world, were is a tradition
you have to respect it and live under the same roof with your parents, brothers, uncles etc.......
929  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US culture vs Indian culture on: June 09, 2014, 01:57:13 PM
If we talk about the culture, no two cultures are same. The Indian culture is unique and has its own values, but America culture is not unique, its mixture of different culture. This is one of the major cultural difference that Indians are very much family oriented, and the Americans are individual oriented.
American culture is oriented towards goal.. Americans are known to plan things ahead and they love controlling the nature and dominating the world around them..
Somehow, I think most of the Asian countries are more family orientated like China, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia & India etc while western countries value personal independence more than connections to the family.

For example, in Asian countries, when the children of a household gets married, they are welcome to live in their family home while western couples are expected to move out into their own place to start their own life and family.

It's weird hearing that everybody in America is circumcised, living in Europe I'm pretty sure its the complete opposite .
931  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do You smoke? tobacco/weed on: June 09, 2014, 10:22:42 AM
I don't find tobacco appealing, it doesn't produce a high and nicotine is pretty addictive. If I smoke it's weed, although I did recently discover swisher blunts and they taste awesome.
932  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Boko Haram and their reign of terror on: June 09, 2014, 10:19:58 AM
Over a month ago, about 250 girls were kidnapped from a Nigerian school and taken to a remote area, all in the name of Islam. Their stance is that western education should not be allowed. Since then videos have been released and one showing the killing of a woman.

What are thoughts on Boko Haram?
Did you know that before the 250 girls were kidnapped, about 25 young boys were killed by having their throats slit? That is how dangerous this militant group is. The Nigerian govt has not been as proactive as the world expected them to.
However, Boko Haram is a radical Islamic group and as such, the religion itself cannot be blamed.
By the way, before a country rushes to the aid of another country, they first ask themselves how will it serve them? It is sad but true. Countries don’t just simply help other countries out of the goodness of their hearts. They often have vested interests in that country for example oil, investments etc..
Yes you are right.. None of the countries step up to help without any self interests.. Moreover, when the concerned country is one like Nigeria, plagued by black, people just tend to ignore and move on.. Hypoctite modern people of this world!!
Actually, I read an article once about how the Nigerians saying that interference from western powers will only make the situation worst.
The parents of the captured students even begged Americans to stop spreading the hashtag #freeourgirls or pressure the us government into interfering in this delicate situation because it only harms the hostages.
This is because if the terrorist group believes that the Americans are going to invade and attack them, they will get rid of the hostages by killing them or sell them off to destroy evidence and eye witnesses. After that, they can easily go back into society and pretend to be normal Nigerians.
Plus you are also giving terrorists groups like Boko Haram a FREE and very effective platform to spread their message to the whole world which is exactly what they want. This will only encourage other terrorist groups to commit more terrorism to get in the spotlight.
And let's face it. Terrorist groups like Boko Haram doesn't give a shit about the bad things a bunch of Americans are saying about them on Twitter. In fact, the more you hate them, the more they love it. Because they already hate you.

If the Nigerian president can't exercise his control over more than one-thirds of the territory, then why he is remaining in the office? Why can't he be replaced with someone who is a bit more competent?

I think the main problem about those countries are the blatant corruption in their government and the lack of military leadership. How did groups like boko haram get their weapons in the first place if someone in the military is not selling to them?
Their government need to pull a tighter rein on their army and use their military power to purge these extremist militant forces at full force!

Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies by Jared Diamond was awesome and definitely worth checking out.
I genuinely enjoyed reading Guns, Germs and Steel. I enjoyed not because of the readability but the concepts and facts that I learned while reading. I would recommend this book to everyone who wants to further their knowledge in human prehistory with a link to the present day. Diamond used extensive examples to back up his argument throughout the novel and did well to acknowledge his shortcomings in the epilogue. Well written!

You may opt to buy gold from your bank but let me tell you that all banks do not deal in gold bars, there are only few which will deal in Gold..
Moreover, you may think that you're saving on middlemen fees, but ultimately, it is going to expensive for you..
Banks have the gold packed neatly and then they add a certificate assuring the purity of the gold..
All these processes definitely are attractive and give you assurance that you are buying right..but then, the cost of these things is actually coming out from your pocket only.. Bank is not going to bear these charges..
I would suggest look for a credible jeweler..

Please don't invest in  real estates.. Somehow, I feel the sector very very risky.. It is just meant for extra rich people who have scores on money in hand who can hold properties for a long period of time... I guess Forex would be a good bet than mutual funds..
Forex is definitely very risky.. but tell me guys, where doesn't the risk lies today... Moreover, if you take every step so cautiously.. you will also make profits in small amounts only.. In order, to gain loads, you have take risks..

Devil in the White City, by Erik Larson.
I also read a book called The Alchemy of Air which is about how we avoided the food shortage that was predicted a while ago, but also helped fuel the rise of Hitler by doing so. It's pretty interesting.

We can not surely say that USA is adversely affected by Immigrants because if USA will be restricted to Americans only It cant be a super power.USA actually needs talents, best ideas, strategies and other positive qualities across the globe.
