Is Miners Pool down?
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: November 27, 2014, 01:58:51 PM
Hello fellow enthusiasts!

If my hashrate would have been 6.5 mh, how often should I have found the block, an average ?

I can see 4 out of 6 rigs successfully connecting to one wallet for mining , but 2 others are getting
Code:
[2014-11-24 12:06:19] HTTP request failed: Operation timed out after 30997 milli
seconds with 0 out of -1 bytes received
[2014-11-24 12:06:19] json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds
is there any limit on amount of connected rigs per wallet ?

6.5 MH/s out of 280 MH/s network hashrate would give you an average block time of 45ish minutes.

Default number of RPC threads in the wallet is 4, increasing that will allow for more connections to be handled. Command line or .conf, rpcthreads=somethinglargerthan4.

I had the same issue and increased the rpcthreads to 15 and had no issues.

Now I get the same issue and my second rig will not connect. I have restarted the wallet just to make sure but it did not help.

Edit: It seems that I had a wireless internet connection problem. I switched that rig over to the 5ghz band and now everything is fine.

Got my first Super stake today. 365 coins for it I got a total of 552 for the day.

Nice.

What is it with the dark thing.

My initial thought was that they were about people cashing in on the Xcoin thing.

But I think some of them are just Scrypt, without any features such as multi-alogos and secret transactions expected from an Xcoin, or Darkcoin.

Is there a "rule" on this, or is the market flooded with knocks offs of Scryptcoins called dark?

Genuine question.

Just giving my opinion as I follow both coins. Not sure if you researched or just forming opinion.

On DodgeCoinDark. It has one of the most active devs that is continuously developing/coding and active with his coin. And as far as I know he is doing that on his own and not relying on anyone else to implement his goals/plans for the coin (more on that with LTCD). If you have not seen he has implemented TOR and I2P to really make his coin "dark" or as untraceable as possible

As for LightCoinDark, started out awesome. Dev took a lot of input from the community on what we wanted to see from the coin. Problem was he had to rely on someones else to actually do the coding (see bolded from above). The community does not know the true reason from the fall out of the original team but just my opinion. The guy that came aboard to code the features, wanted to do a next generation code for crypto and have LTCD be the first to do it, said from day one that he could care less about the value of LTCD, he did not care if the coin went to 1 sat and stayed there. Said it numerous times, gotta respect him for that, at least I do. He was not in it for the money just the technology side of crypto. I think the others in the dev team did not like it that he was so honest about it. Long story short, he left and the whole coin is now under a new team.

So no"rule" just "dark" is supposed to represent that a coin is truly anonymous. Some people that bring a "dark" coin out might actually like a certain coin but with like the "dark" features. Some people bring out a "dark" coin to piggy back off of a "hot" coin to make a quick profit. I guess you gotta form an opinion for yourself about what is what.

I'm afraid this is the best logo of all but came too late  Cry

Dev seems like  many of the logos started coming after the pool started. could we reset the pool and start over?

indeed this looks very professional. i would decide for this, it is really good.
yeah do the poll again please, i didn't vote because i did not have a favourite but now i have Tongue

I like this a lot also.

Is it possible if this wins to use it with out the "square" back ground and just show the coin?

Nice work.
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: November 25, 2014, 05:53:04 PM
Can anyone name some CUDA mineable altcoins that have had a successful launch recently and actually achieved a decent market capitalization?

It's been a while. I had to "RTFM" for the algos.

It seems like there have been no coins with the algo's, beside scrypt coins.

Almost all the new altcoins seem to be ccminer.

Now if we can get cudaminer on neoscrypt to compete with AMD cards maybe we can reboot the cudaminer. I'll dedicate 3 750ti's to mine for a week straight for you on that.

tsiv - big thanks again!

i'll spread some coins with you... just write your address somewere (github is always a good place).
nice to see you here still around, while a lot of people shut down their rigs.

@djm and I owe you a bunch of CSD... thank you too for your skminer.

Added a couple of addresses on the github readme.

Tsiv,

Thanks for the miner. Just sent you about 50 blocks.

I received msg from Dogedarkdev:

"I have responded and offered to do one thing at a time. i am very busy with my coin, but i replied and offered to do i2p first, i can do tor and pos, but you would have to wait til i completed each project im working on. since i am building an i2p network, it would be easy to work on another at the same time. i can do tor after, when i work on tor after i2p again. i will see if he (litecondarkdev) answers"

Dogedarkdev seems liek a nice guy. think that i2p is a great concept to, so we could hire Dogedarkdev to do it for us and we could hire someone else for POS at teh same time.

[/quote]

Dogedarkdev is awesome.

I hope he can help out and I am glad to be holding some of his coins.

That would also be awesome if he can get us on his network he is building.

If he is willing to do POS, I say let him do it when he can. he does not have POS for his coin at the moment so let him work it in. It might be beneficial to let him get to it when he can. Still no big rush to have POS right now.

If anybody feels like mining Spreadcoin.... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=715435.msg9607661#msg9607661

Apparently the official OpenCL miner does something like 0.55 MH/s on a 280X while a factory OC GTX 750 Ti does something like 1.65 MH/s and a Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 hits 3.8 MH/s on my CUDA version. There's a definite NVIDIA advantage there for now, the AMD number seems very low and will probably improve drastically in the future. Whether or not the coin is worth mining is a whole different question.

tsiv,

Are you having issues with your 970? Every block my 970 finds is orphaned.

I'm gonna have to go with a "nope"

Code:
[2014-11-21 14:11:45] DEBUG: hash <= target
Hash:   00000000bc7be9dce1d8702da12390920749bc3254f68db97b3d57d787ecd9ba
Target: 00000000d3b90000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
[2014-11-21 14:11:45] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 970, 3821 khash/s
[2014-11-21 14:11:46] accepted: 54/58 (93.10%), 3821 khash/s (yay!!!)

I'll check that I'm actually running the latest binary instead of some earlier version, I'll get back to you on that.

Ok, thanks.

I turned my cpu mining off to see if it is better.

After dinner I will have a call with Xircom about LitecoinDark and maybe Ghost if he will. I understand that people are angry they lost money but I only spend more than 20 btc on buy support in order to stable the price of LitecoinDark. Below you see a screenshot of my history on Bittrex not spoken about Cryptsy and when the blocks where stuckt. Without this support the price was already much lower. If the community want I will also provide screenshots of this.

http://nl.tinypic.com/view.php?pic=rm5j61&s=8#.VGzK4PmG98E

Now I will like to ask the community to take a look at this wallet. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ltcd/address.dws?36858.htm
You may guess who's wallet this is... and people call me scammer come on!

I CAN ONLY SAY ONE THING ROBERT. GA GEWOON OP JE GEMAK VERDER, EN LAAT DIE MENSEN LEKKER DE TERING KRIJGEN.

for the people who like to know what i write, short lines - that he not have to defense himself against this losers that are crying now and spit on people that try to make something nice.
I have learn always, that everybody is responsible for his own actions in life.so for all that people that start pointing a finger to Robert for there losses, FUCK OFF he did not force you to buy coins.

people that blame other people for there fails, need to look to there self first.

I AM DUNN WITH THIS GUYS SHOUTING AND KICKING AGAINST 1 OR 2 PEOPLE TOGETHER.

IF YOU WANT TO BE ANGRY, BUY A BOX BALL AND HAVE FUN WITH THAT.

OR COME TO HOLLAND TO A NICE CITY NAMED BREDA, AND RING MY DOORBELL.

Thanks for the support I really appreciate it. A small update:

- I sended the developer a pm about the status of the features and when we can aspect them.
- I sended DogecoinDark a email if he can help out with the development and how much it cost.

Futher I see a lott of people asking about PoS. PoS can be implenmentate on two ways. Only PoS or Hybrid. Problem is we don't have to many coins left so we can make a side chain (no limit) or extend the max coins. I personly prefur a side chain so we can make a higher % PoS but this is to the community to decide.

Also I think the idea of a multi sig wallet is a great way to secure the btc, I will contribute to this funds but will not hold this funds. Soon when I have more information I will keep you updated guys!

I hope the dev of DODGED can help out.

That person is amazing on what he is doing with the features in that coin. I hold plenty of them right now because of what he is accomplishing with the coin.

EDIT: Check out the OP to see what he is working on: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=817937.0

I see 6 bounties on the OP

I am pledging 15 gaps for each bounty there is and will be created until i say i dont Tongue

So where can i send some gapcoins for the bounties?

I just created an address for each bounty:
(the first merit bounty was already paid)

  • working cuda miner binaries + source code   GdtFcBN2xix3pNVZV7EjWuLS1Tkp6jw56B
  • second running pool   GbZMaSMvzgYUpLHLRCcsxhVeBLvf9GUo3n
  • first merit within the top 10   GaTLAKiA8jVsFTdcUFL1uDNGKvaBzbQDbf
  • first merit within the top 5   GPqdXdMGJjaZk2EZYgbxPb692jsBpzUoCf
  • first merit, which breaks the world record   GNxcqXsAQMN1ShU3M5kmQko13zhzvciMRE

Once the requirement for a bounty is fulfilled, the among of the respective address will be credit to the finder / developer.

Where is the working cuda miner binaries + source code located?

We speak with our dev and management,we will relauch it soon.
With 2 % Premine Only.
Then we have no future investments for Money.
This means no long term,NO Windows,No Mac + Android + ios Wallets.
NO Electrum + multibit + armory.
The crowdfunding site from the management we lose too.
The management will leave our team.

And this for 6 % premine,we just want to make it huge.
But if the community can build all alone.
We will see.

Stay tuned

Why relaunch?

Just destroy part of the premine.
