921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Appeal to early adopters! Be responsible! on: July 06, 2015, 02:55:39 PM
Another thing to consider is that early adopters have seen the markets move up and down more than people in later.  Due to bitcoin getting a ton of attention its not like they wouldnt have been focusing on the market.  They are probably mostly really decent traders by now and the market is in good hands, never fear Smiley
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Discussion about Wimbledon 2015 on: July 06, 2015, 02:50:52 PM

Gunna say there is some value in karlovic bet here since all the murray backers are out in force.  Obviously this is only an outside chance karlovic will lose most of the time.

Murray has just taken the 1st set in a tiebreak. Karlovic's serve is ridiculous, it's like a bomb. He pushed Murray all the way on that 1st set. He's 6 foot 10 inches tall Karlovic (208.28 cm), an absolute beast of a man. He's winning nearly every point that lands in on his 1st serve. I think Murray has a much wider range of shots & the big man will get tired as the game goes on.

Yeah the chance for a decent value bet is probably over, the big guy will suffer coming back from losing first set.  He doesn move very well i cant imagine long matches will suit him.  His serve is insane though.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: July 06, 2015, 02:48:24 PM
well, I have to admit, that I'm little bit addicted watching others gambling:) this is few minutes old from one popular dice:

after this streak (5 losses in row, -5BTC) in less than two minutes I decided to stay away..Smiley

Ouch, i hope that you can afford to lose that amount.  Very important to play for fun Smiley

fwiw i have had more success just betting the same amount on 50/50 bets vs increasing bet on lose.  But hey its all down to luck.
924  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Litecoin : I sold LTC for BTC . May I wrong ? on: July 06, 2015, 02:31:25 PM
Hello guys,

I owned about 5000 LTC & I sold them when LTC/BTC pair hit 0.006 (1 BTC = 166 LTC). I frustrated about crash of LTC price & it's future. My thoughts behind of this decision is :

LTC is just a pump n dump coin. It has no worldwide acceptance like btc has. the market of ltc is very small & normally merchants don't accept it. the development team of ltc doesn't give any unique project for a long time. there is less discussion about it.

But, now , I see ltc price is just pumping to the moon...... 216% price increase of LTC/BTC pair. Why people sell their bitcoins for ltc ??

My decision was wrong Huh

Its important to diversify your crypto, you probably should have gone half and half.  Im currently 50/50 bitcoin and litecoin.  1.) I would never dump all my litecoin at this price.  Even now people were dreaming about $5 litecoin when we were @$30-$50. 2.) As long as bitcoin is strong we need a #2 coin and that is litecoin. You are in crypto for a high risk investment i assume might aswell reap the rewards of both coins.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Appeal to early adopters! Be responsible! on: July 06, 2015, 02:25:03 PM
I'm seeing boasting posts in exchange chat rooms about dumping of ltc. Looks like some early adopters having enought bitcoints converted them to ltc in order to boost up panic about Greece default.

So, rich guys byuing ltc ,making it $5-6 and others think that it all because of Greece and will make price 9-10 recently. But Greece citizens can't even get their own money from banks how they can move them to cryptocurrency?

It's usual process for speculation but guys! Be responsible! When you start to trim hamsters by dramatically dumping price it will be ok to return it 1.8-2 but if fear will be to strong and crowd will bring price to $1 or lower whole crypto-community will not be able to return again to normal prices.

So, if you have enough money to trim others just do it. But be responsible. Do not start too big wave because backward wave may destroy yourself!!

Litecoin was under valued for a long time even more under valued than bitcoin, it going back to $5 is just the start of things.  If you look at the past price movements of litecoin vs bitcoin you will see most of the time we have been in the 0.02 - 0.03 range.  Even if bitcoin doesnt move im thinking we will be @ about $7 soon.

927  Economy / Economics / Re: Please tell me if we have more stability because of shorting on: July 06, 2015, 09:00:45 AM
Does shorting and margining bitcoin help stabilize the price? If so, what is the reason in market terms?

How might shorting impact the next bubble?

As far as i understand the more trading options and investment channels there are the better the long term stability of bitcoin will be.  However just the ability to short isn't going to hold down a bubble when it starts going up.  Shorters will get raped if they hold shorts for too long.  Just like how shorting on the way down was a no brainer from $1200.
928  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in poker players with bitcoin? on: July 06, 2015, 08:45:00 AM
Update:

Someone asked me in PM, if I want to invest in a WSOP player, something like that. - Not exactly.

I am looking for an online marketplace similar to https://www.chipmeup.com but where I can bet on players by bitcoin. I understand the market may not be there, yet. So, maybe later.

Could always start it yourself via google spreadsheet or via a forum thread even.  There are probably many bitcoin players who want to be staked, tracking if they are any good might be harder.
929  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTS Pokerstars funds for bitcoin on: July 06, 2015, 08:38:11 AM

Please remember always use escrow as pokerstars transfers can be reversed.  Good luck trading Smiley
Pokerstars transfers can be reversed? Do you have any proof of that? All pokerstars transfers are manually approved by pokerstars team before processed, and they behave to it same as a withrawel to your bank account or e-wallet. Meaning once processed it cannot be reversed. Thats atleast what i have from experience. Feel free to proove me otherwise but please provide proof.

Yes the problem is after someone has sent funds from their pokerstars account they can email pokerstars and say they sent it to the wrong person or their account was hacked.  Transfers can get reversed since pokerstars didn't make the money transfer service for trading they made it for occasionally sending money to another player for reasons like..... helping out a friend who wants to play poker etc.

But hey, its always done on a case by case matter so yeah maybe some transfers wont get reversed, it depends what the specifics are.
I see, then support gave me wrong answere as they told me its irreverseable once sent. But might depend on the case how you said. Anyway still have more funds for sale so let me know if anyone is interessed.

Maybe its better for them to say that since its just more admin fee for them to deal with customers who send funds to wrong people.  Also if you kept reversing it pokerstars would probably ban you from transfers.  Its really a 1 time or 2 time scam at best i guess.
930  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dropped $10 fast after pump and dump on: July 06, 2015, 08:22:52 AM
its because people putting money into bitcoin upon greece news.I myself believe they should wait for some time to see real influx of money coming from greece and not react to such news spontaneously.

That way you will end up paying more, by the time you get in the price could easy double with such a volatile stock.
931  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin price just reach $275 on: July 05, 2015, 06:40:52 PM

Yeah i am convinced we are going up higher, i think we are in the stealth phaise quite clearly.  If you look around the only people who are getting excited are those in the know.  This bubble is going to be a huge bastard folks, $3000 target for me.
932  Economy / Services / Re: BTC-e Clone for Sale With Many more Clones on: July 05, 2015, 06:22:52 PM
Whao, btc-e clone, how much is it, do you offer free installations, can I have more altcoin listed than btc-e.com
Please reply.
I am sorry, your price is far beyond my budget please forget negotiations.
Thanks.

Yeah it does feel maybe a little pricey just for the code, it depends on if the sites work and are secure as promised.  You will still have bandwdith and advertising costs.  This project takes many thousand to even get started.
933  Economy / Gambling / Re: Womens World Cup, Who will win? on: July 05, 2015, 06:19:37 PM
Great to see England win the 3rd place match against Germany but it kind of just makes it more disappointing they didn't get past Japan. Japan were really lucky & don't really deserve to be in the final.

I want USA to win because I'm annoyed England lost to Japan Grin. I think USA will win any way. Interesting fact guys - Before this World Cup England's women had never won a game at a World Cup. Look out for them in 4 years, they'll be back better than ever.

Any way - Go team USA!

Japan was a better team that day..and were playing better football.. their work rate is also way greater.. run around like crazy.. Technically they might not be as talented.. but they compensate it with their efforts.. U could call eng being "unlucky"..but I have no doubts in saying that Japan deserves to be in the finals(and they r Tongue ).!

Same with me. I'm sure Japan will surprise us with their efforts and collectivity playing. But, maybe the match won't finish in regular time, which US will revenge their lost in last world cup final. Tight match I guess.

Yeah even Im expecting a low scoring game.. Japan can shut US down with their defending in numbers.. I am guessing it would end 1-1 in FT..n then its anyone's game.! I dont mind it going all the way to penalties.. its always exciting to watch penalties.! Smiley

Im going with 2-0 USA, i think the game play itself will be even but japan will create no real chances despite playing nice football.  USA to score both goals from set pieces. Now all i got to do is stay up till 2am to watch this.

935  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: So I dropped my phone in the water with all the 2fa keys on it... on: July 05, 2015, 09:43:52 AM
So I dropped my phone in the water with all the 2fa keys to all of my accounts and wallets on it. Can anyone tell me from experience how difficult it is to retrieve and regain access to my accounts and wallet? I have LBC, Block Chain, Circle, Coinbase, and Cryptothrift.

Its possible on some services to get access again you just have to wait a while once you have told them.  They must check you are not a hacker trying to get access.

I have the same deal as you if i drop my phone in the water/lose it.
936  Economy / Gambling / Re: Womens World Cup, Who will win? on: July 05, 2015, 08:30:50 AM
Surprised that England win Germany...
but look like it was a boring match with 0-0 in 90mins.

Hope Final game will have more goals

Yeah its the first time in history england have been underrated in a football competition.  They fully deserved win vs germany and even if germany played full strength team i dont think it would have mattered.

Good job those who have been betting on england, some great value to be had!

What an epic stack of Doritos Pringles shakes and the other munchies on the table. I got diabetes just by looking at it  Cool

lol yeah its pretty terrible diet right, you play 24 hours straight on crisps and sugar drinks.... no thanks.  I'd rather go for carrots, cucumber, other salad like stuff, oats, nuts and seeds + drink water only.  Smiley

939  Economy / Gambling / Re: The PrimeDice Rakeback Program! on: July 04, 2015, 06:07:10 PM
I understand the idea but I doubt someone who can afford to bet 10 BTC will be happy with 0.009 BTC referral commission.

The wagering does soon add up if you bet a lot on dice and its free money really, but yeah i still think its hard to attract sign ups due to most people are looking to gamble on dice.  Rakeback in poker seems to be popular due to being able to break even/win long term in poker.

If you play on dice a lot though you might aswell sign up for rakeback, its a no brainer.

at the same time, there's nothing stopping people from referring themselves on a separate account. even though primedice takes care of this automatically, people can just a VPN or TOR to bypass this.

Yep this is another reason why cashback programs with bitcoin banking are tricky to get going.  The whole affiliate business could be shaped differently under bitcoin.

I've done 20k+ hands in 1 sitting on pokerstars 24 tabling, thinking it was about 18 hours straight more or less.  I needed to clear a VIP bonus thingy before the next day you see.  Glad i dont do that kinda thing anymore, not worth the stress.

How is that even possible?!? Nevermind ... I  don't even want to know. I scold myself sometimes for playing too much poker. YOU need help my friend. Lol ...

lol i used to play as only source of income so really you have to work hard to make it, its actually not that crazy, look at this guy who played 50k hands in a day:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hVNvns4o4o

I used to aim for 6k hands per day on average, 5 days a week, anything from 16-24 tabling.  Its very unhealthy, bad life decision dont waste your time.

Well, at least we have some stable playerbase at swc, or betcoin

well we still don't know if those are really controlled by humans  Shocked

I've noticed that there are some users have been playing for straight hrs but i maybe just being assumptious about it.

yes, we can't just say that a player who plays long hours is a bot. personally, 6hrs straight is standard, i can go for 12hrs non stop.

Did you manage to keep your discipline the whole time, or did you find yourself going on tilt near the end?

Got tired and probably was playing my C game but i still made money as it was 0.5/1$ games back in like 2010 when it was a little easier to beat online poker.
