921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Irresponsible behavior at the Las Vegas Casino on: August 17, 2023, 05:00:52 PM
Lets face it: trying to understand human nature is no easy task. Someone telling you he was on drugs might explain his "irresponsible" actions. It's simple to criticise from a distance. And for the love of God, life isn't a movie; talking about "The Hangover" as if it were a serious study of Vegas visitors' habits is ludicrous.

The act of finishing someone else's drink is the height of foolishness and a demonstration of the fundamental carelessness that characterises our species. Perhaps alcohol impaired his judgement.

Haha! Exactly! I'm surprised by some of the comment here. It's as if they've never had "one too many" in their lives and done some stupid shit. I know I have. We all have those moments when we let loose and make questionable decisions - it's a part of being human. Unless, of course, you live the Amish life. But in that case, casinos (or even online gambling forums) might not exactly align with the lifestyle.
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: August 17, 2023, 09:39:50 AM
But I'm sure there are lots of female gamblers in online casinos because some of my office friends often play slot gambling on their cellphones, but I don't know for sure whether they really have a lot of users, because slot machines just need luck and don't need a mathematical strategy, so in my opinion Online casinos are more popular with women too.

The idea that casinos are mainly a male domain is evolving. I did some research on my own, and here's what I've found. Men tend to engage in gambling more frequently and for longer period of times. They take greater risks and hazards, and invest more money in their games. On the other hand, women tend to exercise more caution. They lean towards playing with smaller amounts, prioritizing enjoyment over chasing for big wins.

While I don't have precise statistics, I belive that women often gamble for the sake of enjoyment and to connect with others, especially in the social realm of online gambling. Men, on the other hand, might display a higher level of competitiveness and a focus on monetary gains, but that's just my opinion.

Roobet art contest runs for years now and honestly this is where I master my craftmanship skill specifically with the clay art. It's not perfect yet but I'm happy that I'm improving and with this contest you can grow as well as an artist. Two weeks before the end of the latest contest and I do hope that you guys already have an idea on what to submit for the current theme. Keep improving and continue to learn new things, art is growing too.

There is no such thing as perfect when it comes to art. Perfection implies a state where no further improvement is possible, yet art exists within a subjective and ever-changing realm. What might appear perfect to one individual could diverge entirely from the perspective of another. Every person contributes their distinct viewpoint to the interpretation of art.

Just keep doing what you're doing and try to improve more.

925  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can personal message (PM) apare on ninjastic space? on: August 16, 2023, 03:19:37 PM
My reason for asking is because PM is a personal messager and if you delete a post in spare on ninjastic space so can personal message still spares in ninjastic space if I delete it?

PMs (personal messages) cannot be archived on ninjastic.space since they are not publicly accessible (for obvious reasons). It doesn't really make a difference whether you delete the message or not, as they aren't archived on external sites to begin with.

Upravo sam pisao nešto o tome u onoj 'scam accusation' niti.

927  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Whirlwind.money - withdrawals are not being processed ⚠️ on: August 16, 2023, 12:36:13 PM

I don't see a problem if the funds from the escrow were used to settle the user, regardless of the fact that it was initially planned for the review campaign. Which, by the way, was finished a long time ago. The problem is that it is difficult to prove how much someone had/tried to withdraw because there is no irrefutable evidence for that. All they have is a letter of guarantee or notes, but that can very easily be forged, which will certainly be tempting to scammers.
Also, after the withdrawal request, the balance going to be 0, so in the event that the escrow gets direct access to the private key, it will not be able to determine the owner and amount of funds with certainty.

The last time I used WWM was after adding the concept of notes public key, so I don't remember the details of withdrawal, but I think that sending a note private key to minerjones would solve the problem because it was the only way to prove user ownership.

If nothing has changed since I last used WhirlWind, I believe there are two possible scenarios here that need to be addressed:

1. Users with remaining funds on their notes: To verify this, a potential solution would be to share the private key of the note with a trusted forum member who can verify its contents. This action should be taken promptly while the WhirlWind site is still accessible.

2. Users who requested withdrawals, either in full or partially, from their WhirlWind note to a private wallet: In this scenario, the available balance on the note would either be decreased by the withdrawn amount or down to zero. To prove an unsuccessful withdrawal, affected users should provide a signed message (letter of guarantee) generated by the WhirlWind during the withdrawal request. By comparing the information within the signed message with blockchain transactions, it should be possible to verify the status of the withdrawal and the amount owed.
928  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dexsport.io ⚡ the first decentralized crypto sports betting platform on: August 15, 2023, 05:12:49 PM
Their website looked professional and I had not come across this thread or TrustPilot before using them. I found them in a blog post. My bad.
Anyway they are 10000% scammers, stay very far away! Wonder how much they invested to get their website up and running because it looks really slick.

Yeah, their website does look really good, and I wouldn't immediately call it an obvious scam.  I mean, someone clearly put in a lot of work and money to make it seem legit. But you know what? Looks can be deceiving. If they're scamming people selectively, like you're saying, they could keep it up for ages. Just like how 1xBit does it.

The dexsport.io account, which had been quiet for a while, suddenly came to life today, probably just after you called out the scam. Maybe now the casino's representative will actually show up on the forum and try to explain these disputed situations.

I'm getting this error after entering freebitcoin website on my computer browser (Mozilla Firefox), and am already logged in and trying to roll this error popped up for the first time for me using the faucet so Iam wondering if this is just for me or everyone is getting it also. I hope it gets solved soon

429 Too Many Requests
nginx/1.19.0

It's most likely just you. The error message you're encountering, "429 Too Many Requests," typically indicates that the server is receiving an excessive number of requests from the same IP address in a short period. It's not uncommon for faucets or websites to implement rate limiting to prevent abuse. The best thing to do is to wait for a while and try again later. Also, you could try turning off your VPN if you're using one, as VPNs can sometimes trigger such request limits. Alternatively, you might consider changing your public IP address, which could help resolve the error you're facing.

but the question is can i use martingale/anti strategies there?

I see no reason why you couldn't. You are free to employ any strategy you wish, but that won't help you in overcoming the house edge. The casino always has that advantage, no matter what tricks you try.
931  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Anonymity Mining 12% APR🔥 on: August 15, 2023, 12:31:39 PM
Excellent news, thank you for letting us know.

Yeah, that's really good news, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. We still don't have any official word on what's happening with the service. And from what I know, there's still no confirmation that the withdrawals are actually working.

There's no sign of any notifications or warnings on their website, and if I start the mixing process, the system will give me a deposit address. So basically, Whirlwind is still accepting deposits from people like everything's cool. But they know their system is down and you can't take out any money. Honestly, that's pretty messed up and unprofessional behavior for a business.
932  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to register frequently used destination addresses? on: August 14, 2023, 06:46:36 AM
HI,

I'm an Electrum newbie, so there is something I would like to know about it.

Is there any feature to register addresses frequently used to send like many wallets service offer?
I have some wallets that I often send my assets in Electrum to, and it is a little bummer that I have to enter addresses every time I do it.

Thanks.

As mentioned by ranochigo, you can use the "Contacts" tab within Electrum as your address book. Also, the "Address Labels" feature can help you achieve a comparable functionality to your described scenario. This feature allows you to assign custom labels to addresses that you commonly use.

Try to use different addresses for too many transactions. It is a lot easier this days since many wallet ( like electrum) use the hierarchy deterministic method to generate keys which subsequently generates multiple addresses on a single (at most 20 receiving addresses) wallets.

Well, this isn't really an option because lots of those centralized services won't let you change your deposit address. So, many of us end up sending funds to the same addresses over and over again.

Are you suggesting that if I send my money to you, I will get more coins instead of buying them directly myself? How?
I mean no offense, but I genuinely hope no one would be stupid enough to take interest in your "project."

Also feel Free give your suggestions and opinion about the project.

Here's a suggestion: Find something else to do with your free time!

Speaking of which, does anyone know what that symbol is supposed to represent? It looks like cutting through the top of a mountain or an iceberg... and that interpretation would actually make sense.

936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: August 11, 2023, 06:41:16 PM
Yup @OP, opportunity like that might won't come again anymore to you because you just lost it and didn't took advantage when it was there.

But, the reality is that if you try to gamble your way out of debt, then you are going to be in a lot more trouble. That type of greed is a lot worse, because if you win a lot and then lose that's at least understandable, but if you gamble and lose and then gamble again, that's trouble.
That's true, if your sole purpose to gamble is to pay all of your debts. You are unlikely going to succeed. Most gamblers are aware that when you do that, you're definitely doing the wrong thing. And instead of doing gambling, you should do some other things when your aiming to pay your debts.

I completely agree with the point about chasing losses - it's one of the most common pitfalls for novice gamblers.

Take my early gambling days as an example. I made the classic rookie mistake of chasing losses when I was just starting out. There's this distinct memory I have of losing a certain amount of money on an online casino, which, in retrospect, wasn't even all that significant. However, instead of being sensible and cutting my losses, I convinced myself that all I needed was a one more round to recover. So, I continued throwing more funds into the game, desperately hoping for that elusive big win. Regrettably, things didn't unfold as I had wished, and I ended up losing far more than I had initially been prepared to part with. The experience served as a tough but valuable lesson, one that remains etched in my memory.
937  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any solution for a hacked wallet? on: August 11, 2023, 06:23:57 PM
I applied for an airdrop where I connected my wallet a few days later I noticed that my wallet has been hacked and some of my money are gone. I tried sending gas to the wallet to move some tokens to a saved wallet, but if I send gas to the wallet the gas is been moved automatically by a bot. I do not know what to do to recover some of my tokens from the wallet.

Maybe you should learn this for the very first time, any lost coin cannot be recovered as long as the transaction is confirmed, bitcoin or altcoins transactions are irreversible, that is why the security to your wallet is in your hands, you shouldn't allow anyone to have access to your wallet informations, immediately you're hacked, they moved all the funds in your wallet into another wallet, you can only trace the recipient but can't reverse the transaction, always learn to take security measures over your wallet, it's more better needed than investing on the coins to hold.

You might want to give the OP's post another look. He's not trying to recover coins (tokens) from confirmed transactions, but rather tokens that are still available at his address/wallet.

It sounded promising, until I checked their website:
<cut>
I just can't take them serious this way.

Haha, you're right! Seems like they aimed for that message to pop up solely on the "clernet" domain, but somewhere along the line, the dev had a little slip-up.

But that doesn't matter. I don't think "Onion Names" is related to SecureDrop directly. They're simply using that feature for their own services, and I stumbled upon their article that explains it. As an example, you can access their SecureDrop instance for CNN at either qmifwf762qftydprw2adbg7hs2mkunac5xrz3cb5busaflji3rja5lid.onion or cnn.securedrop.tor.onion addresses. This means that the Tor browser is somehow capable of translating the "<name>.securedrop.tor.onion" URL into the correct real .onion domain. I'm guessing that's the part that dkbit98 is interested in.
939  Other / Meta / Re: Is Short Onion URL link possible and how? on: August 11, 2023, 04:32:48 PM
If anyone have more ideas I am willing to listen.

I haven't been keeping up with the Tor scene recently, so I'm not up to date on the latest developments. However, I'm curious about what happened to the "Onion Names" concept that was supposed to be integrated into all newer versions of Tor Browser, if I'm not mistaken. I remember reading about it some time ago, but I'm currently unable to find anything useful except for this article from SecureDrop: https://securedrop.org/news/introducing-onion-names-securedrop/

It might be worth exploring.

You might also consider getting creative and mapping ENS domains to .onion addresses: https://medium.com/@brantly.eth/ens-now-supports-tor-onion-address-resolution-9bb3bdff6217
Although I have a feeling that might be a bit too daring for your taste.  Wink
940  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Failed to submit review and also did not refund the payment. on: August 11, 2023, 03:31:10 PM
Flag supported.

I see that jamyr's last online activity was on 5th of August, though you've been very lenient to him by extending the deadline several times, shouldn't we consider a possibility that he's not aware of your latest request to refund the up-front payment, given your post requesting the refund is on 6th of August [as also listed as reference link on the opening post], one day after his last online date?

He still failed to met his end of bargain, and thus his future deal and enrollment should still be taken with grains of salt, but maybe --just to be sure we ventured all possible scenario-- he has no intention to not refunding the payment, he simply did not noticed the final request and warning.

I believe he is fully aware of his actions. It has already been 10+ days since he missed his initial deadline, and he was active on the forum during this period, giving him ample opportunity to return the payment if he really wanted to. The requirement for a refund is clearly stated in the initial conditions of the review campaign, which he had agreed to. Moreover, it's worth noting that the extension of his first deadline was granted at his own request, as indicated here. Given these circumstances, I believe that his current lack of communication is intentional.
