921  Local / Beurzen / Re: [NIEUW!] Bitcoins kopen en verkopen op Bitplaats.nl on: May 13, 2013, 12:04:03 PM
BTC verkopen: MtGox: 90.5, bitplaats.nl: 81.45 - verschil 90.5-81.45/81.45 = 11.1%
BTC kopen: MtGox: 90.99, bitplaats.nl: 94.12 - verschil 94.12-90.99/90.99 = 3.4%

Ik wilde 10 BTC verkopen... Had ik niet vermeld, vandaar maar even beide uitgerekend.

Ruim 10% verschil tussen jouw koers en MtGox ?
924  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: May 13, 2013, 05:47:18 AM
I have a dream that Sunday, May 19 Yifu Guo will come to the people at Bitcoin-2013 conference and say that Avalon team have re-designed chips for better energy efficiency (hence the delay) and batch #2 and batch #3 customers will get 20% more performance from their machines.
Funny, I had exactly the same idea: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200374.0

The transaction has been completed.
Happy buyer, happy seller and happy escrower ;-)
926  Bitcoin / Hardware / Avalon B2/B3 late: Are they going to surprise us with a more efficient miner ? on: May 09, 2013, 07:38:37 PM
It's just an odd thought that I just had, while reading the 3 companies rating thread.

Could it be that Avalon is late with B2 & B3 because they are developing new much more efficient V2 chips and close to the finish line and want to use these new chips ? Like a 2 slot 100Gh machine, 400W or even better ?

B1 buyers will not be pissed (except for the few that got it late or not at all), since they already have been mining a nice amount of BTC.

B2/B3 buyers will soon forget their grief, since they will get a better machine and recoup the lost time and BTC.

The chip buyers will probably get V1 chips, and that's ok. The chip price is reasonable IMHO. And it would be odd if they would create a huge competition for themselves.

I know they are not in it for the money, still who would make their own business hard ?

Well the bad news for me is that it seems to work fine at home, so my company must block the stratum ports/interface or something! Sad
Yeah I work in IT and it's generally large company policy to block anything they don't need. Maybe you could try a pool with getwork? Either that or set up slush's mining proxy at home and use a static IP or dynamic dns and port forwarding to get something sorted out.
You could try to run a http tunnel to your PC at home. Then connect via this tunnel. Do an internet search, you'll figure it out.

Was on your MtGox list of open orders with the status open?

930  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: May 07, 2013, 08:56:10 AM
My best guesses:
#1. They have a daily limit on the account, so they can't pay more than €xxx a day to withdrawal requesters
#2. Their € account is empty and they need to wait till people fund their MtGox account with €'s so they can pay the withdrawal requesters.

To explain 2 a little better: Suppose you start an exchange and 10 people fund their account with in total €1000. They buy 10 bitcoins for €100 each. Next day the bitcoin price explodes and are worth €500 each. If 5 people want to cash their win, it would require €2500 to make this happen, but ... there is only €1000 available. Two withdrawals will take place, three will have to wait...

MtGox claims it's #1 that is causing the delays. You might have another idea.

936  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Asic chip Mini USB miner [Post if interested] on: May 06, 2013, 06:40:54 AM
I would buy 10 of these boards. These would make great birthday and christmas gifts for the right people.
Exactly my idea. I am in for at least 50 at max. us$30. Payment in BTC, of course!
These 'little' gifts are the way to advocate Bitcoins.
Heck, wouldn't you love to receive a gift that will "make money" for you ?

Hoe verloopt het eigenlijk met de verkoop en de interviews?

Gelukkig hoef ik niet perse te verkopen.

I posted a box with a total weight of 11 pounds from the Netherlands to the USA, insured(€3000), track & trace and have to be signed for when received for €60 yesterday. €60 is us$78. It will arrive in 4-8 working days.

That's well and good, from the Netherlands. This is using normal post, right?
As opposed to using either UPS or Fedex? How about tariff or customs tax?

Can anybody else tell us how much it would cost to ship from Germany using normal post?
It's indeed normal post, and not UPS or Fedex.
No idea what you mean by tariff and custom tax, if any, will be paid by the recipient.
