921  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You only got what you deserve on: February 14, 2024, 08:37:05 PM
You are right. Even if you wait for years by buying the wrong asset, there is no chance of any profit. So it will be its own reward for itself.
A lack of knowledge in the cryptocurrency space can put an investor at a disadvantage . Moreover, investing slowly through DCA method reduces the purchase price a lot and then waiting increases the chances of getting profit . So wait for the bull market by gradually investing in DCA method.
If you are in a community like this then I find it difficult to understand to the reason why you would actually do something stupid with your investment because their are so much knowledge here about how to actually handle your way through an investment so making a mistake is uncalled for except only you are the ignorant type then you would make a silly mistake by investing in some shit coin that lose value rather than going slowly with DCA if the money is not available at a stretch.
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make use of what you disliked because you can't stay away from it. on: February 14, 2024, 08:32:45 PM
I opened a betting account today (don't have to mention) but when I bet on their virtual games, they don't have the kind of options I am expecting to see but only provides more like only 4 options which are home win, away win, draw and over. So I bet if I could win but luckily for me I won ×2 of what I deposited, then I withdrawed the funds and mailed them to block the account because I don't find anything suitable for my liken but they replied me saying they can't and I have to make use of the account until 90 days before they can block the account.
However, it's my money and they can't force me to use it, so they have to block the account. I see that the only way to stay away from the betting account is not to fund it again.
So can anyone force you to make use of what you don't dislike?
It's very simple on what to do mate, just ignore the casino since you have already withdrew your funds. I don't know but it's seem you might have played atleast a bet with  the money you deposited for them to actually allow withdrawal back because that's the rules of some casino site over because it shows that the account is not used for money laundering and I say this because I have come across many casino which I deposited funds and tried out their platform and found no interest and withdrawing back my funds took time because I had to wager the money first before withdrawal.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causes loss on: February 14, 2024, 08:21:26 PM
.

He said that he had nearly 64k dollars as a loss in the gambling site.In order to recover that 64k dollars,he keeps on betting from all his economic resources.I had advice him to use only 20 percentage of salary to get away from entire gambling loss. But he is now repeating the same 100 percentage of income from weekly, biweekly and monthly. So he was in the big loan problem.Still he is arranging funds from loan to play gambling, because he think that the recovery was possible at the place where he lost his money. What will be your suggestion for my friend to recover from the gambling addiction.
Typical error of chasing after your loses and I bet he would play and try to win back all those money and still end up losing more and the worse part is that he himself doesn't know that something is actually wrong with me until it gets too late ofcourse and thats the madness of gambling addiction. But since you are with him and you discover early, it's now left for you to actually help him out by getting professional help just like the way others have suggested, I think that would be the way out .

925  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: February 13, 2024, 09:04:42 PM
Yeah, very much agree with you, 1000x is alot of multiplier, as that implies that the gambler will be doubling his or her money by 1000 times, and if for example, the gambler has a base bet of like $10 to $50 dollars, and ended up hitting the 1000x, thats a lot of money for the gambler, and one that could be life changing depending on the country the gambler is playing from.

Yes, and I once saw someone win over $50k on plinko bc.game. The bc.game house edge game has whale class gamblers. You can see in the game crash that they bet up to 1 or 2 eth. That's a crazy amount in my opinion, I don't know how much balance they have but it's a number that is beyond reason for me.

I usually only bet a few cents on plinko so I can have lots of balls to roll. If I'm lucky then I can get 130x once or twice, that's enough for me. I never got 1000x but I once got 130x three times in one session, that was a good win for me
I can relate to this because the amount I see gambler play with gives me the chills especially in the BC.game crash aviator games. At some point I had to compare the ratings I see with other casino crash game because the amount used in staking by the gambler is shown below and when i finished comparing I come to know how big BC.game casino is way bigger and I think it's because of the steady and stable interface of the crash game display which makes it very easy to actually cash out your funds even at the very little time of odds of 1.30. I think the secret they use is to bet big and cash out very fast to reduce the risk of losing all the funds.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where Do You Want To Go To If You Win $2 million On Lottery on: February 13, 2024, 08:55:38 PM

I prefer to stay in my country, because the living cost is very cheap here in my country, $2 million is very much enough for all my family up to three generations and I can even help my country by setting up businesses.

That's the idea, because staying exactly where you would  enjoy the funds is the right thing to do although when it comes to money won in bet, it tend to be spent carelessly that's if ofcourse you actually lack discipline. 2million$ is a lot of money from where am staying and I think I will do just fine investing that money in huge businesses and idea over in my country rather than move to a different country where the cost of living might eat up your money very fast because money that is not being refilled by business or other ways will eventually get finished at some point.
927  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Importance of learning a skill before gaining admission into the universIty on: February 13, 2024, 01:59:47 PM
My country pipo e go really make sense if you wey they seek for admission into the university learn at least skill wey fit fetch you income the reason why some of us find am hard in school na because we no learn handwork (skill) so the thing come become very difficult to even concentrate properly some days wey nothing day no food no money to go class go worry you and all this things really dey discourage somebody well well, those wey learn handwork before gaining admission into the university no really face much difficulty because them get service to render in exchange for cash aside ur schooling e dey very important to learn handwork before u enter school because that time your brain still dey young and not much responsibility to think of unlike when you finish school to come learn some settings kind of handwork that time go dey very very hard because you done dey think about your responsibility at hand and that time u fit no get chance unlike now wey you still dey mama and papa house this na my own experience and my regret.
Well at first the importance to learn a skill in life itself is mandatory and it becomes even more important when you are actually from a country like this where the hardship and struggles is x5 everyday so you not learning a skill is simply uncalled for because when you are not dependent on the system you can actually create ends means for yourself so you can manage it to survive because even the university on his own is a hunting place and only the prepared survives the struggles and hustles.
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You will burn on: February 13, 2024, 01:51:29 PM
Think of those guys that have DCA into Bitcoin for years, how profitable they would have been now.
In other not to get burned, start DCA into Bitcoin now and seat by and prepare for harvest during the bull run.

This is about how someone can take opportunities and there are easiest ways that they can apply, but sometimes people lose confidence because they are not based on the right knowledge.
How lucky are the people who have prepared to invest in bitcoin because the road to success is getting closer to the next ATH period and where we will stand.
Therefore, when it is not too late, it is better to try to think of ways to collect and even though this period we cannot make big profits, there is hope in the next period when we have started.
Aside from not getting proper knowledge, they also become more greedy and maximize altcoin investments than bitcoin, knowing it’s cheaper plus there are also high promising profits, that end up with too good to be true and certainly fall into scams. Trusting in altcoins more than bitcoin makes them burn, and taking some risk that are not worthy of their rewards, since they all end up losing their funds.
No matter the talks and advices, there are still some people or should I say persons that actually do have little leverage when it comes to investing in some altcoins and I believe they also are part of the reason why most newbies or ignorant old timers still fall for this particular actions of buying altcoins and  regretting when the altcoins decides to drop drastically in market value.
929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need more influencial women in crypto to help the gender embrace it? on: February 13, 2024, 01:44:04 PM
I can guess one of the main features of the crypto space is privacy and I believe lots of person would prefer to keep their identity unknown and am sure that is basically one of the major thoughts on the minds of one of the greatest creators @satoshi nakamoto as he aslo kept him anonymous so if you really come to think of it who knows if Satoshi is even a lady? but who cares we all know that a certain proportion of both genders are involved in the activity around the Crypto space and this adds no impact so let's focus more on what's ahead.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you quit gambling for a friend? on: February 11, 2024, 09:09:08 PM
This guy hasn't caused any trouble to his friends but it's a worrying situation to see him waste most of his salary every month... -snip-
You are right but such a situation will destroy his life and his friends slowly. I'm guessing your friend isn't married because you haven't told him about his family at all. But I can say that over time he will become more and more broken and it will impact his relationships with his close relatives and people around him.

I'm worried that he has started trying to get into debt to gamble. You may not mention it here because he hasn't done that but one of the bad effects of gambling addiction is that you will become addicted to debt. What would you do if he tried to owe you money?
What's there to do other than actually not borrow him the money when I know very well that all he is gonna do is use it for gambling. I think I would even called that as part of indirect encouragement because other than looking for ways that will help him out, you lend him money to gamble and like you said I hope he doesn't have any family because if he does then it will really be a sad story because I know very well that the entire family will be affected by such reckless ways of gambling.
931  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin Investment VS Betting 😱😱😱😱 on: February 11, 2024, 05:34:20 PM
Good evening my people, today I say make I bring this very pressing issue come forum, I done dey here this matter on my social media handled , untill one of my guy tell me say bitcoin investment and betting na thesame thing nine the matter tire me , for me I know fully well say no be thesame thing  because number one the reason why people dey bet na say them one make big money from small money by luck, due to say something happen the way them plan, but bitcoin investment dey focused on to buy bitcoin come hold am for  a long time hoping say the value go rise.
Abi na the risk? Betting carry big risk because the fact say something go happen the way you plan am, no too sure like that, but for bitcoin investment I fit say the risk they smaller because na economic factors nine dey determine watin dey happen for the market, so at least for bitcoin  investment person fit make informed decisions , instead of to  just depend on pure luck.

My bro, you even get strength to dey go explain because for me e don tay wey I don dey ignore all this kind discussion dem e dey very stupid for me to dey try to explain something wey I know for myself and one thing again people wey sabi argue all this kind argument na mostly gamblers and their is nothing wey you go tell am wey him go take so me I dey leave dem to take how dem take am but I dey always ask this one question when it comes to this comparism which is does gambling guarantee you 70% surity say you go get profit? Which obviously is No but an investment assures you 90% depending on your planning about it since its a fix fact and not something we hope on luck.
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress? on: February 11, 2024, 05:09:01 PM
Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress?

Sure, once in a while I go through my bet history to keep myself updated on the percentage of winning and loosing. And most times the result keeps me in a smiling position, while other times I just feel like to change my betting strategy to a new one or the old pattern that worked best for me. As a gambler, there are several thoughts that comes to your mind if you are not pleased with the outcome of your gambling history, but the most important thing is to have full control over your emotions.
Well I don't know about you but I know that this can also trigger another feeling maybe in a case where the gambling have had series of lose and maybe lost his capital, this can also bring out this feeling of urgency and regret and maybe even emboldened him to strive more for improve his gambling and maybe also bring out the urge to chase back at those loses that he has inquired feeling maybe he can win them back but that is gambling that are emotionally moved.
933  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason for acquiring bitcoins. on: February 11, 2024, 05:04:37 PM
Firstly Bitcoin itself is a currency just like every other currency but the thing with Bitcoin is that you are the one true owner of it as you can control it and own it privately and that's even outside the benefits that it brings when it comes to investment because another major reason of people owning Bitcoin is because of its ability to serve as a means of investment thereby possibly making those that adhere to the rules involved in using it as investment rich to certain comfort zone.
934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: February 11, 2024, 04:58:03 PM
In years past before the casino and other online gambling bet platforms was discovered and brought to our knowledge, I and some family relatives used to play the card games but on the sequence some of us were becoming unserious in the game that it wasn't competitive so, we decided to have stakes with little amount of cents of $ which we could afford to loose just to buckle and cheers everyone up.
Time goes where we increases the stakes to make us more serious to the extend we began to bet about $1 which we can afford to loose at other expenditures but it seems unbearable loosing it on the caused of betting.
On a serious note, we saw this as a mere bet of competitions and not as gambling. As we advances, we saw it as a domestic gambling and not as the wild gambling that could cause one emotional outbreaks.

Time goes that it becomes unusual that we began to feel offenced and rebelled that we as relatives(1 family) are extorting from each other without empathy for one another and then, we unconciously grew wild developing in sentiments, greeds and taking it as an avenue to make profits.
Alongside, it was more of serious business than the just fun.

Then the casino and other online bet platforms was introduced in time. This was how I was exposed and my begining of gambling life!
Hmm this is different from how I got exposed to gambling. For me it was all about my family, and believe growing up in the street ghetto and having siblings that and cousins that are crazy, sometimes I wonder what has kept me in check when it comes to my social life because alot of persons I know are now chronic gambling and even drug addict but that's why they say if anyone changes it depends to some level on the actual person thinking and mentality. I was exposed officially to gambling during the days of my schooling although am familiar like yourself about the card and all other physical gambling but the gambling house just made it more extreme and many like myself couldn't survive the pressure and turned addicts to the act and till date I know of a few that are still fighting this habit.
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do coaches get sacked over poor performance of players? on: February 10, 2024, 11:00:55 PM
I have followed various sporting activities and I noticed something that hardly make complete sense to me and that is the rationale behind firing a coach when the players do perform poorly. What drew my attention to this is a news flash about Jose Mourinho's case in Roma. According to the article, Mourinho left Roma angry and feeling betrayed by the players. Is it even possible that players will intentionally lose matches because they want their coach out at the expense of their own careers? If this is true, why will the club management reprimand the coach and not the players? I know some people will argue that the coach is the leader of the team and should be responsible for building the unity and love the team need to play in high morale, but in a case the players happen to have hated the coach and have decided to lose matches as punishment for their coach, is it right to fire the coach?

Once a former coach said that football in my area said, if the players' mood is bad then the coach must be blamed and if the players' mood is good then the coach must also be appreciated. This is a real thing, just imagine the team under Pep Guardiola and ten hag, of course the performance of Man City players is better, it's all because Man City players really respect Pep Guardiola as their coach.
A wise and respected coach is the key to a team's success, currently Alonso is in that phase, he is highly valued by Leverkusen players so Leverkusen's squad performance is very good this season.
The coach serves a very important role in the player performance and that's why it's believe that a coach and their player's aren't supposed to be having any issue at all because it can lead to the players being demoralized and even take up crazy decision like the OP made insight on the scene that transpired between Jose Mourinho and the Roma players and I believe similar cases have also being witnessed too.
936  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you have a hard time bringing new people to the forum? on: February 10, 2024, 10:45:14 PM
During the Christmas holidays, I traveled to different places and one of my main target was to introduce Bitcoin and this forum to as many people as I could. I did but it was not really as easy as I expected because at a point, I was confused on where to start and how to proceed. I wanted a way of shortening the entire process for them, knowing that not everyone will be patient to go through the complex and rigorous process of learning about Bitcoin and the forum itself as a newbie. When I was first introduced into this forum, I was overwhelmed by the workload, the rules, many things to learn and indeed the expectations from me as a newbie. I actually ran away, stayed for a very long time before I remembered I had to face the new task for which I signed up.

I picked myself up and proceeded and I consider that one of the best decision of my life. Today I'm more than motivated to help as many people as possible to grasp this whole things as I know the benefits are innumerable. I don't consider it enough to encourage them to read through the forum because I still remember how difficult it was for me as a newbie, so I'm challenged in my spirit that there should be an easier way to go about introducing the entire concept to newbies.

I don't know if any of you faced this challenge, if yes, how were you able to proceed?

You see, these are one of the reasons why many new newbies here are not following up the way others are because they lack the legit understanding about Bitcoin and the forum it self.
If you want to tell people about the forum you just have to make sure they know what to do and not teach them and domp them half way because they will not understand and that's why many newbies bare being tagged for posting trash.
But it's good to tell and teach people about Bitcoin as Bitcoin is now the talk of the day in various places. As you wanted to teach people about Bitcoin and the forum you just have to make sure they get the point and never keep them behind, so to do all this just make sure to keep spare time to teach them so that they can understand.
937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: February 10, 2024, 10:41:33 PM
Guys, do you often feel like me? when I raise the bet I lose and when I lower the bet I win. Does the casino system/algorithm know the betting patterns we make? So often when we bet big we are given a loss and when our bet is small we actually win, which is very annoying

I don't know if this applies to all games or not, but I feel like this often when playing table games. What do you think?
I am not too sure how certain this taught of yours is but I can say I have experienced such things sometimes when I decide to increase my stakes but most of the time the results is actually good as in I win the bet while sometimes I loose out on the bet so for me I think it depends on the period of time and how luck decides to treat you also but although their is this certain cautiousness that comes when you think of increasing your stake that's may sometimes make you be just be too careful.
938  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Matters Arising. on: February 10, 2024, 10:39:41 PM
Nah these same reason why e no dey good for person wey done old to dey gamble, even if them no bet on any of the team either the super eagles or South African football team. Penalty kick nah watin dey put many people (especially gamblers) for high tension so when person wey get high blood pressure dey watch am e fit also make em BP high. Nai make e better when person dey consider em health first before em do anything way dey em mind to do.
I no really believe this news sha because I never hear ram for any where except this our local board. But if incase na true, make their soul rest in peace.
One thing this country takes dey sweet nai be this AFCON competition, we just forget the big problem wey we get for the country and put our happiness for the AFCON. After this competition nai we go know our faths. But normally one thing way make this country dey sweet na as e be say we never lose any of the match these season and that one sef pass any other thing.
You talk true because person way get problems like BP no supposed to put all mind for games because the game fit no end well for am and e fit still cause problems just like how the people on the picture mentioned from the Op done already pass out.
However, I don't think that those stories are real because by now me and you for done hear am. Although this matter na really big one for how many people to die just because of the competition. Even if say this country na Holly pass just like everyone love each other's that one no go make people con go die just because of say the super eagles go for penalties kicks. Moreover we done already win that game and if trie say them done die which gain them get?
939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first Bitcoin on: February 10, 2024, 10:35:13 PM
Well compared to me this is actually a good start if you ask me because I remember when I bought mine, it was during the 2022 bear market that Bitcoin was low as 19k$ and since then the little I have accumulated and earn from signature campaign here too has also made a good start up but I don't ever store my coins on CEX because there is to certainty to what will happen when one day you wake up and find out the exchange has been restricted since you don't actually have the full access to the keys to your coins in these CEX.
940  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria SEC tag binance operations illegal on: February 10, 2024, 10:33:53 PM
Although binance is an exchange and we all knows that an exchange wallet are not secure for holding Bitcoin, when you want to sell you can make use of the binance app but it is mot advisable to store Bitcoin in exchanges.
The reason is already know to all of us that one day the exchange might crash and people money will lose and there is no one to be hold responsible for such.
