I've had some requests on how I created that 'nice' address for my tip jar.. Youknow? The address that starts with a few characters of my name: 'GeertJoL3tLhmumtKBP14M5iUt6JPUnE92'. As you can see there is no point pushing the price up in massive amounts, this coin will have miners that don't even know how to spell gulden mining it and continue to sell off straight away.
A stable price that rises slowly is far better for the health of the coin and merchants who use it.

I have some news. Have asked a big bitcoin investor to look at nLG. If he likes what he sees will put a few btc towards the coin.

Nothing official yet, they're updating their website and they will make the payment option more known on their website. You can already buy gold and silver with NLG there, official announcement will follow after they made it more public that NLG is a payment option there. |

I notice the block reward for NLG is not going to change for over 3 years. Do you think we can maintain current price levels when there is close to a billion coins in 3 and half years time?
Fortunately price isn't just determined by the amount of coins out there, but also by the amount of coins used to pay with and the amount of coins held by spenders, miners, buyers etc. 840 million coins is a lot of moolah so it will certainly be a challenge to keep a steady price at that time. Although, in 3,5 years. You can probably pay at nearly every restaurant and shop in NL with Guldencoin  That's the goal anyway. |

I have a question: on the old website, we could see how many Dutsch citizen had claimed their Guldencoin, is this still the case on the new one ? I can't find it anymore.
Good question! Right now 1259 valid claims have been placed. All of those are fulfilled (1.259.000 NLG has been sent). I hope to find some time soon to upgrade our distribution system with a public page displaying the numbers (and maybe even a nice chart). A zero too many I suppose? |
