I want some informations about the PAQs
1- for buy the PAQ i have to send ETHER or BITCOIN to the contract address and after fill the TxHID of transaction in the PAQs purchase formular whith the others informations, am i right?
2- after buy the PAQ what will happened by then? must i wait for beta release of the site to see my paq?
3- How many paqs have been already sold?

This is whats on my mind since merit introduced. Popular and famous people will get the merits easily, so it is like a popularity contest for new and mid rank members, since high rank members are not too many on numbers and some of them are well known on this forum. So, higher merit means he/she/it is a famous and popular person in the forum, but in the future it may be hard to distincts someone who gets 1000 merits since lower rank from someone who already had 1000 merits because of they are already high rank when merit introduced. Here is just some idea that comes in to my mind, what if we have a new medal/symbol/mark/coin like rank does, or just made the coin for the rank becomes a different color if someone achieve a merit milestones. It is just some idea, feel free to comment it anyway.
That's not a bad suggestion. It might be easier to do simply by adding another line under Merit called 'Earned Merit'. That will make it just as easy to distinguish a Legendary account that inherited 1000 merit and one that has been awarded it.

I am still amazed to see the number of posts regarding merit and rankings. I am not going to lie, I was upset right in the beginning as well because I was set to become a Member on the next activity cycle but now I have to still earn 5 more merit points to get there. As with any change, there are going to be people for and against it...people are going to try and work the system and still get what they want. I am definitely all for making this forum a better place and not having as many spam posts. I am just thankful we all have a place to come and discuss issues with crypto and hopefully gain some knowledge from the folks that have been around for a while. Thanks and Good Luck!

This sM-cum-Merit thingy haz definitely stop this forum's 1.8M+ user base from spamming the threads, most likely because a new tab/window opens up if one desires to dole out sM to their brethren's heavy post, a new tab/window not deemed a security risk unlike all other links on this forum which only open in the same tab because otherwise they pose a security risk. Meanwhile, this forum has stopped legacy entities from accessing its API because that, too, poses a security risk, but that doesn't stop rogue entities from using the same API to blast PMs advertising their services for ... wait for it ... blasting PMs containing paid-for ads. At $50 each that is over $10million they received in the last 4 hours. This has gone on daily for at least a month now it seems and was selling out in seconds some days. So how many did you purchase? Would you rather purchase U$500 worth of BCCX attached to an unknown person overseeing the now defunct BitConnect, or purchase U$500 worth of YuTü.Co.in's, founded by a known person, me, in supporting users of the second largest website in the world, namely YouTube? |

All that happens is that they may have to pay more coins instead of less for the interest and capital release. They don't lose money as these coins are free to them and they have a large reserve (which they never even needed to use). The problem when the coin value doesn't rise enough (they can obviously adjust interest rates) is that it will cause inflation.
You're on the right track. When the price of their token starts going down, the company has to pay out more of the token to achieve the desired USD value. This causes the price to drop faster, which causes them to have to pay out even more of the token, and so on in a vicious circle until the token is worth very little and the company runs out of its reserves. Your use of the term "inflation" is a little confusing, but I guess you're talking here about price inflation rather than monetary inflation. What you call "inflation" is presumably the same as what I mean when I say the price of their token falls. It's not a problem if at times it isn't deflationary as they don't actually lose any profits. Do you understand now why it's a good model as it prevents the company from dumping the coins as if they did that it means they have to pay more coins for the same amount of daily interest?
Once the price enters its death spiral it will tend to stay in it until it hits the floor. That's why this isn't a good model. They're promising to generate steady USD returns while not having any source of income with which to actually back up that promise other than interest from new suckers buying in. The use of an intermediate token to obfuscate what is happening was clever, but doesn't change the fact that there's no real activity generating the promised returns. While the token price goes up they can pay their promised returns and when it falls they quickly find that they can't. You make statements such as 'death spiral' as if you definitely know what was going on with bitconnect. The evidence was there to be seen. There was no death spiral, just they didn't want to get into legal issues. The day after the Cease and Desists they had some sign in question about where customers were from and blocked new loans for people in those states but allowed people to carry on receiving interest. They had told their promoters to stop promoting for weeks too before they closed the lending. However, did you see that their price was not going down? It was still near its recent $300 all time high and was even higher than this for a while (even the 14 day average was 20% higher). Remember that this interest was easy for them to pay since most of the BCC in the lending was always locked up and the interest they did pay was far less than they could have paid. They used the massive profits to market the coin and even created lots of music videos to promote it. Even if the price was falling (which it wasn't) it would never actually inflate the circulating supply for a long time as it took about 300 days for lenders to get their capital back and about 3 months even at 1% per day to even get back the same number of coins they put in lending (assuming the price didn't go up at all in those three months, which we all know it did). There was no real way the model could fail without people who didn't understand it complaining to authorities. Check out YuTü.Co.in (sse sig) where there's no re real way for our model to fail. For U$100, you not only receive 40000 YTC which should easily quadruple in price (at the very least) once on the exchanges, but you'll also receive a PAQ (virtual miner/hasher) capable of mining/hashing no less than U$2,628 worth of YouTubers' yAltcoin shares (yaltz) per year - EVERY YEAR - with that figured calculated on the exchange rate of a minimum U$0.01 per yaltz, thus if mining/hashing a venerable YouTubers' yAltcoin with its yaltz trading at U$0.10 each, that equates to U$26,280/year. The lending platforms should work properly if the people running them know what they are doing and I still think they are a good model as they generate profits for the company with the lending so are not real ponzis and they should be able to control the gain in the coin price (rising too fast is not good and that was what happened with Davor - although they did a lot of things that were scammy in the end).
That's where you're wrong, and what you should focus on. The model only works if their token keeps increasing in value faster than the interest payments accrue. When the token price stops rising fast enough the scammers have to decide whether to start taking a loss or doing an exit scam. Which of the two do you think they choose?

In these situations they also can't take any profits without stealing from other investors by dumping more coins even though they would be stupid to do this as the coin would further lose value (Davor probably did this). Remember that the coin inflates organically with mining and staking at a predictable rate but the lending would normally be deflationary (they can then sell some of the extra coins at some point) It's not a problem if at times it isn't deflationary as they don't actually lose any profits. Do you understand now why it's a good model as it prevents the company from dumping the coins as if they did that it means they have to pay more coins for the same amount of daily interest? If such an excellent business model, then why did they close up shop with its promoters headin' for the hills? |

What is the super value of this post that respective members of this forum gave it more than 30 merit points? At the same time people making original Announcement of cool projects recieve 0 merit Ofcourse is Vod a reputed member here in bitcointalk, and his statement about merit must open new window is so useful, it is really annoying in the first week of this system that clicking merit takes us away from the thread. Good thing that his suggestion is implemented huge help to decrease annoyance in the system. Did everybody forget as to why ALL the links on this forum were changed from opening in new tabs/windows, now ALL opening in the same tab with the exception now of the Merit thingy link? |

Maybe some of the not so bright Youtubers and/or ICO investors do not get the YuTu.co.oin as being associated with "YouTube".
Understand totally that you cannot for commercial/Legal reasons name it "Youtube Coin" but we all know essentially that is what it is, and the market is massive.
How can we, as investors help spread the word on Youtube without spamming everyones account, are you able ot list, maybe in dot point form how the Youtuber can monetize their channel via this coin in 20 or less words?
I think a lot of them while they can make money from Steam, they try and release there first, then upload, it is a pain in the but for them, so they would rather make money from either 1 live stream or 1 upload, and to 1 platform only.
And Google Adsense does not pay as big unless you have a massive subscriber base, so what are the attractions for Youtubers in dot point form we can post them to those to whom we are subscribed and help to market the Coin as a money making venture for them.
