Smiley

Please allow shipping of the card to the United States, I would love you so much.

unfortunately, it is not that easy and quick.
We hope to find a solution before the end of the year, but nothing confirmed yet..

How come?

this is due to regulatory limitations. Not all banks can issue cards to US addresses
928  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: August 25, 2015, 10:31:18 AM
What kind of card is it ?? is it connected to wallet ?or bank ?
and which countries are accepting it ? can someone post the list .

It is a normal Visa debit card issued by a bank but linked to your bitcoin wallet. It is accepted in all countries, anywhere Visa is accepted. It cannot be shipped to all countries though (yet).
The full list of countries where it can be shipped is available in the first post of this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=917350.0

The limits increase dramatically??? Now I get scared  Shocked

Depends on the context obviously )

But $2000 ATM withdrawal per day and unlimited online/POS spend is quite good for the wide majority of people
931  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: August 18, 2015, 09:10:41 AM
...
Also your yearly lifetime $1k limit is just laughable.
...

this is just for ATM withdrawals
and, most importantly, it is the limit for unverified accounts. It is that low or about that low for any anonymous prepaid card.
Once you verify your account, the limits increase dramatically
932  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: August 16, 2015, 09:54:42 AM

please, see some of the older posts - there are plenty

I have. Went back to page 17 and still no real trusted members giving a good review. All newbie accounts and a LOT of problems posts.
Also your yearly $1k limit is just laughable. That's a few days worth of mining to many people. LOL

I'm out of here, not trustfully enough, sorry.

Check out Puppet, s1lverbox,  jdebunt, kano, etc.
They all started quite low, but we have been building trust and reputation here gradually - and most people are happy with the service

where did you see the $1K yearly limit?? There is no such thing. There is a $1K ATM withdrawal limit for unverified accounts, which will be more or less the same or smaller with any unverified card. That said, it is still possible to load and spend up to $2500 with such unverified card.
When you verify the account though, the limits go through the roof.

Is there a problem with issuing cards to the USA?

Sorry but I don't trust anything 'newbie' accounts say about services on this forum due to the HUGE number of scams going on.
Only full or long standing members can be trusted here. Even then those accounts can be bought so still have to tread lightly.

Our bank cannot issue cards to the USA for the time being. The cards can be used there, but can only be shipped to addresses outside the USA. We hope to overcome this limitation in the near future, but don't have any definite timeline for that as yet

All right, thanks

Still waiting for reviews of non Newbie members though.

please, see some of the older posts - there are plenty

In brief:
- we only provide support via e-mail, and the e-mail, and there is a contact form and support@e-coin e-mails openly available on the website. It would be very hard, if possible at all, to deal with 90% of the requests we get via telephone, hence, no telephone numbers provided.
- MyChoice (WaveCrest Holdings) is mentioned in the Ts&Cs when you are ordering the card. Maybe we should advertise it more, not sure
- Other partners, such as BitGo is openly advertised on the home page and in the "Partners" section
- What do you mean by explaining how it works? A better description of the service than the one available?

Would really appreciate your inputs..

I understand your choice to not include phone support, indeed it would probably be chaotic. You could perhaps do it with a high charge line, in addition to the free email support though.

Im talking about a landline, an address, something real that people can get in contact with your company, not for everyday support.

I do understand its easy to run the whole site/services from a server on a data center and that there is no need for office space, but you are dealing with money, and people will always be suspicious and cautious about their money. Some real contact credentials would make people feel safer, because if something went seriously wrong, like for example if your site dissapeared and with it all the bitcoins and money of the users, they could find and contact you somehow.

You should advertise MyChoice more, for the same reasons I mentioned regarding the phone and address. People need to know that their money is with a real company, that they can get in touch with in case something goes wrong etc. And since MyChoice seems to be a relatively well known legit company on its field, and also has real addresses and phones which you dont, you should advertise your partnership with them in my opinion.

Many people dont exactly know what you actually offer, and they dont understand that you are a Bitcoin exchange/wallet site, that also offers a way to top up prepaid cards. They probably think you issue the cards or that the cards directly consume bitcoins. I for example wouldn't trust a card issuer with no history, phones and real address.
Especially people not familiar with bitcoin, that need your card for other reasons (for example I got your card due to a temporary ban on international transactions here), need a good explanation of exactly how your site and services work. And I'm pretty sure many (if not most) of your users are not bitcoin investors looking for ways to convert their BTC to real currencies, but people like me that will buy BTC (probably from other sellers/exchanges) in order to use your card.

While your help videos are very easy to understand, having just videos instead of an in depth text guide looks unprofessional, and contributes to the shady feek of your site (in conjunction with the lack of real contact credentials and detailed explanation of how everything works and what companies are involved).

I think you offer a great service, and honestly hope that you will continue offering it. It works fine for me and I encountered no problems.

No offense, but for the reasons I explained, and it seems many people agree with me, your site has a shady, scammy vibe to it. I wouldn't leave my BTC in your wallet, even now that I used your card with no problems.

Look at it from a marketing standpoint. People are being turned away from your services due to this. I did my best to explain what many people find wrong, I hope it helps.

Many thanks for your detailed comments and recommendations!
Resources are stretched, but we will try to take them into account as much as possible.

As for keeping BTC in the wallet, it is best industry practice not to do so regardless of whether you trust or don't trust the wallet. We apply the best security standards in the industry, incorporating BitGo into our service, yet still, would only recommend using the wallet as operational one, the core of your bitcoin funds should be kept in cold wallet.

This is good for Bitcoin but the site is cheap and look scammy, I wouldn't trust my money in this kind of cheap kid web site domain.

Any non 'Newbie' accounts using this card?

I've noticed almost all of these internation conversion Cards do not accept people form the USA.

There are plenty of long-time users - although the thread is getting quite long to navigate.

Unfortunately, cannot ship cards to the USA for the time being, but working on it...
