921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mastercard attacking Bitcoin on: July 28, 2015, 11:42:10 PM
When we try to purchase anything off the internet with our credit cards, there's every chance that we might get stolen.

With bitcoin, there's no chance to even find out the wallet.

People are not willing to use credit cards and get robbed in small time payment when they know they have better options.

So yeah, they should be worried.

All of this PR is all signs that credit cards should be worried. I hate Visa and their interest rates and fees. If Bitcoin were used everywhere, I would work to pay off my credit card debt and never use them again. I love how bitcoin wallet addresses are so unique and even if someone were to find out your address they won't find your wallet. How many people's credit cards were stolen online?
922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Me panicing because of a Core crash. Now I have to redownload the chain. Lame. on: July 28, 2015, 10:41:59 PM
I have this problem a lot. Do not use the same addresses over and over. This will prevent crashes like the many ones I have experienced. I am sure glad I was wise enough to create a backup.
923  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: how to accept payment with bitcoin on: July 27, 2015, 09:30:13 PM
There is a plugin if you know how to code in PHP available on this forum. Try searching on Google. I have not yet tested it in any of my projects.
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin like McDonald's, and altcoins are like coffee houses? on: July 27, 2015, 09:20:21 PM
You don't understand me. I'm speaking about "the experience economy" theory and about consumer choice, not about coffee or hamburgers.
Altcoins are created for many different reasons and things. But we are talking not about for which reasons their original devs have created them,
but will people use them, or not, will people spend them, or not, will people buy goods or services with them.

I don't mean altcoins like altcoin of runners, altcoin of aquarium fans, altcoin of coffee lovers etc.

An example: DOGE was created for fun. The question is will DOGE lovers use Dogecoin to buy goods or services, or they will use BTC alone.
My answer is yes, they will use DOGE.

This thread is a complete fail. Altcoins are created for many different reasons. Some are created to serve a particular community, or as stated above, most of the time they are created to make bitcoins. Your analogy fails.
Altcoins are for so many different things and reasons that your comparison is not even close.
Worst analogy ever. You FAIL at analogies.
It's like you don't understand English or something. I don't know anyone who exclusively uses Dogecoins. What you're saying makes no sense whatsoever.

926  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 26, 2015, 06:27:51 PM
Looks like the price of bitcoin is continuing to go up. Now is the time to buy in or get into the bitcoin economy.
927  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: July 26, 2015, 06:16:46 PM
Faucets are really only useful for beginners, or if you need a few dollars within a couple of hours and you have no other way of making the money. I would not be surprised if someone on this forum here did make 2 BTC per month. Commitment goes a long way on this forum.
928  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: July 26, 2015, 06:12:49 PM
I earned a few satoshi from playing the Bitcoin Aliens game on my smartphone. It's a good way to make a small amount of bitcoin when you have nothing else to do, or when your on a long bus commute you can play bitcoin games to pass the time.
929  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ 777Coin Signature & Personal MSG Campaign ★☆★ Newb to Hero [RE-OPEN] on: July 26, 2015, 06:09:11 PM
I would like to change my payout address to 1FC5FrvhGfTVx9wBYhL3W959BeE1Y3zESY.
930  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to buy? on: July 14, 2015, 10:54:49 PM
The price of bitcoin is currently going up. I would only buy if you plan to hold for a while. I suspect there is going to be a dump considering the price increase.
931  Other / Off-topic / Re: fake passport!? on: July 14, 2015, 10:41:46 PM
It would probably not be wise buying a fake passport from this website. You're likely to get in trouble one way or another. What they are doing is completely illegal. I personally don't need any fake passports.

They ain't claiming to be fake and they're specifically doctored to be distinguishable from the real thing. That's not to say The Man won't be too happy if you have one depending on where you live.
Yes I just read that now. I still don't see a need for a fake passport.

not listen to freinds of scammer GO AWAY
No dude, we're not "friends" of the OP. You can't trust anyone on this forum. It's like the streets of Harlem.
933  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Participate in Bitcoin survey => get bitcoins on: July 14, 2015, 10:34:42 PM
After seeing the confirmation of the BTC being held somewhere I will definitely consider this. Thanks for sharing.
934  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.008 Loan on: July 14, 2015, 10:26:08 PM
I didn't receive anything from you @ManyProof and I want to take the loan from Hexcoin, not you.

U LIAR U SCAMMER!!!!!!!!! I PUT OF 0.01 btc in your!!

Why did you send him that btc without escrow holding the account?

Maybe this is to teach you a cheap lesson so that is good if nothing else.

Always use escrow and get a signed message from the person in question from an old address posted from the account. To many people will scam for even the smallest of amounts.

Good luck getting your returned funds.

u seem friend of scammer fo rsure
Did you not read all the warning posted at the top of this forum? You should have got the account credentials escrowed before you made the transaction.
935  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CLOUDMINR on: July 14, 2015, 10:18:44 PM
honestly it seems quite confusing...

#1 could be actual proof that they were hacked...
#2 1btc? really? rather weird to ask for such a small amount, on top of what they made...

or, they did it exactly like that to make us think they were hacked, when in fact they weren't

i know that cloudminr coming back is rather improbable...
however a lesson must be learned, out of this...

Hacked or not hacked is no difference as long the service is closed. My name is not in that list, so it's a fake - a cheap fake for only 1 BTC. *lol* Everyone could build such a list. You need only one fake-account who tells us in this forum that its name is on the list and all will believe it. How often you can sell it? Once, twice or 100 times? It's a Freeloader scam, but funny.
I guess, Cloudminr is already back with a new name because it would be stupid if they would'nt use the scam a second (or third?) time. And learning by doing applies to investors as well as for scammers because there is always room for improvement to earn more money.  Wink
The only question is: What is the name of the new cloud?

I think it is  the https://ccan.io/   ....

Donīt think so, different style, different wording, but i think this also smells scamy... Grin
Is there any way to get my GH/s back on this new site? I'd like to hit ROI.
936  Economy / Digital goods / Re: $500 PayPal My Cash on: July 14, 2015, 10:04:32 PM
I tried buying $10 BTC on this forum, nobody responded. There is no way anyone would risk that amount of Bitcoins on a PayPal chargeback.

938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: The End of Money as We Know It documentary is out! on: July 14, 2015, 09:23:01 PM
Cool another Bitcoin documentary. I'll find a torrent and watch it later. Looks like a good movie.
939  Economy / Speculation / Re: 4000$ bitcoins in 4 months on: July 07, 2015, 11:33:16 PM

Impossible? You clearly don't have a clue what bitcoin is capable of. BTW, I'm all in since 2012. Now there is simply no point for me to buy any more bitcoins because the bitcoins that I could buy today with my monthly salary would be just a drop in the ocean in comparison to the coins I accumulated in 2011 and 2012.[/url]

This is what I find funny about the btc community, $4k btc sounds crazy yet it is nowhere near as crazy to me as the idea a couple of nerds cpu mined thousands of bitcoins for winter heating prices and turned those into $1,000 a piece.

Bitcoin's market cap is tiny, tiny tiny compared to a typical fortune 500 company or a few blocks of prime real estate in a major American city, it has alot of room to grow.

I fail to see how that's funny. Imagine Bitcoin really becomes a large-scale success at least in the store-of-wealth arena, largely replacing gold, tbtb unable to suppress it. What happens when a large chunk of the worlds wealth is transferred to a couple of crypto geeks and gamer kids?

I don't think that's funny. It's very interesting, though. Maybe prodigious.

Nothing happens because most of the people that got luck sold at 1 dollar, or 30 dollar, or 200 dollar. The people that sold at 1k where the 1% of super lucky guys. So as you can see, with Bitcoin the guy that holds wins, but no one knew what would happen. If you mined 10000 Bitcoin for nothing and it reached 1 dollar, you would have probably sold too.
Redistribution of Bitcoin will happen everytime we reach a new milestone, 2k, 3k.. 10k..100.. everytime there will be people selling and other people getting the Bitcoins, and each time there will be people regretting by not holding a couple years more. It's how it works.
From what I see the price may reach $4000 but probably not in 4 months. Suspect the there is definitely a possibility that the price could bubble and then colllapse agian as it did last time. I'm going to trade a lot of my bitcoins for fiat cash when that begins to happen.
940  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CLOUDMINR on: July 07, 2015, 11:25:24 PM
Wow. That's a real shame. A never hit ROI on clouldminr. Oh well, live and learn. I bought those contracts over 6 months ago when I was a bitcoin newbie. It was a shame I never hit ROI. I figure developing my programming skills is the best way to go from, here, and create a killer application that relates to bitcoin in someway. I don't wan't to create my own Bitcoin ponzis of my own.
