921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just an asset ? on: December 23, 2017, 02:59:16 PM
I have read in the news that that like bitcoin as virtual currencies are assets and does not have the characteristics or what it takes to be a currency that could meet our modern economic needs. It was said that it does not have the fundamental attributes. What are your thoughts about it?

Most bitcoin user considers bitcoin as currency more than they treat it as an asset. I have no objection to those people because they are using bitcoin for transactions that can substitute purposes involving real money. However, we should not expect much for it to become a currency that normal people use for ordinary transactions, because bitcoin doesn't have a stable value.
922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: December 23, 2017, 01:26:30 PM
Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?

Bitcoin has been leading cryptocurrency as of the time being. Considering it's huge lead to it's competitors when it comes to its market cap is one of the reason why it's not easy to tell if it can be replaced. But yes it is possible, especially now that the price swing decreased a a big amount in just a matter of days and hours. Nonetheless, i still believe in bitcoin. It would take a long time to beat bitcoin or it might not be.

924  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Transaction fee sa coins.ph! on: December 18, 2017, 04:26:33 PM

925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tezos future on: December 18, 2017, 11:13:41 AM
How do you see the future for the tezos project after make history with the biggest ICO ever .... where do you see tezos in a year or two from now?    Cheesy

Iv'e heard some news and article about it , the tezos project , but some say it is a scam , but yep the tezos been shocking the world , and as far as I know is lot of people noticing it and been investing. Its pre-launch though , so it's new , and I found tezos interesting somehow , and I maybe in the future I think , but let's say I predict that maybe two years from now on tezos with be great and successfully. But we can't say and maybe I try it somehow , and maybe I will invest , and still having research about it , all I suggest is be wise all of us.
926  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Mind Reading Possible? on: December 18, 2017, 10:36:10 AM
I have seen this video, where it claims that Mind Reading technology is possible:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kGZemt2P9M

Quote
Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University recently made a scientific breakthrough using machine algorithms to accurately guess what people are thinking. In other words, as the university referred to it, they have “harness[ed] ‘mind reading’ technology to decode complex thoughts.”

Quote
“Predicting the Brain Activation Pattern Associated With the Propositional Content of a Sentence: Modeling Neural Representations of Events and States”

What is your opinion about these news? Is Mind Reading Possible? And how it will affect Bitcoin private keys? How will this affect the passwords that you hold in your brain?

My opinion is I think it would be possible in somehow , I heard a lot some mind reading , I saw some footage , I've seen many kind of these things but so far I didn't encounter some people who can do it. But by a proper knowledge and train maybe it is true , we all have different perspective through out this topic, But I know there is a guy who can mind read , who reads mind , that is God our God.

928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fees so high? on: December 17, 2017, 03:57:57 PM
why has the bitcoin fee for each transaction recently been so high?
It was easier to send 10-15 usd before but these days the fees are more than that.
Any wallet which takes less fee?Im fine with delayed confirmation.

Mine too the transaction fee is so high , like let's say 1000 something like that on ph , the transaction fees on coins.ph is almost 1500k pesos. But I don't know in some other wallet , my question to is there any wallets that have less transaction fees? And as far as I know why the transaction fee is so been high , is because of the price of bitcoin to I guess , the price of the bitcoin is extremely high so I guess the transaction fee would be too. Because of the demand of it.

930  Other / Politics & Society / Re: president duterde of philippines on: December 17, 2017, 09:29:20 AM
is martial law really the only option of president duterte in marawi city PHILIPPINES?

I've seen many news about it , and for me I think it's more effective through the city of marawi , many people been died through the crisis or the battle of the terrorist and resulting to a war. I think president duterte thinks that it would be the solution to the crisis , and  to get back on track of the people on the marawi.
931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins for illegal activity on: December 16, 2017, 07:15:04 PM
From recent news in India it is heard that bitcoins are used to sell drugs..I know its a currency and it is also used as a normal money... but these can create a bad space in people's mind that bitcoins are used to sell drugs..so they will not use bitcoins... Conclusion is that BTC is also a currency which is having a high value in the market..and bitcoins must not be used in these illegal activity which can reduce its usage and value.

I've heard some news too , people selling drugs to internet what so called , or what they called the black market where you can access to tons of drugs in some lower price , but wait there's more not just drugs but illegal guns. The most famous crime or news is the what so called the silkcoin , it's the same and can buy drugs and tons of guns. By this illegal sites bitcoin becoming ugly , by this illegal activity it creating a bad image through bitcoin industry and yes it's the one of the disadvantage of bitcoin. On the other hand bitcoin is a internet money and yes a money , where you can buy anything and whatever you want. But it depends on a person on how will they used it , on which things they wanted to buy , it depends on the person on how they value their money or bitcoin.
932  Economy / Economics / Re: Are electric cars bad for the oil industry? on: December 16, 2017, 06:50:10 PM
Title.

So. Electric cars are gaining in popularity, therefore the popularity of gasoline will be going down. Won't the price go down, leaving the oil industry in trouble?

We all have different perspective through this topic , but your right electric cars been noticing these days, and through the internet or different social media I see electric cars and yep it become popular and popular. Through the oil industry isn't it good still it have a benefits though it can lessen the mining through the sea just to have oil, just to fill our cars and what so ever. But I think too the oil industry will be bankrupt in the future I guess. And it's bad to the oil industry , they will force to moved and replace the oil, and yep it is bad.
933  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fastfood can potentially Kill Us! on: December 16, 2017, 06:35:27 PM
We all know that fast food is addictive even though we know that it may potentially harm our body. Most of us just don't care about its negative impact on our health, all we care about is eating what is delicious that's why there are many people who are obese and is struggling with their health conditions. There are two potential threats to a person eating fast food every single day, and that is Diabetes and Heart disease. In the US according to Mary Kekatos from Dailymail, half of all deaths due to heart disease and diabetes are caused by a poor diet, which consists of heavy intake of sodium and unprocessed meats.

Why do You think people still eat these foods everyday? What can You suggest them to do to quit this addiction to fast food? Are You one of those people who are always eating fast food?

These days many of us rely on what so called fast food , from the word fast means quickly and food means what we eat or our meal , and fast foods means quickly process food. That sometimes raw cooked , not well done and causing or resulting to a different sickness , or resulting to many diseases , these days many people rely on it because it somehow delicious , yet unhealthy people don't care about what they eat. And yes it can , it can potentially kills us , causing different diseases as I say , I suggest to all not just me but to all of us , as in all of us to become more careful , be aware on what we eat.
934  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: December 16, 2017, 06:18:30 PM
Getting a job is not possible for everyone, not everyone has family or [friends] to help them and sometimes they will make the bad situations even worse them. If you've ever really needed money and were very desperate, than you probably know that people would let you starve to death rather than give you $5.

It's weird how people won't toss out just a few dollars to help someone in need, yet they'll spend $10000 or more on their pet that has an average life span of under 5 years.

But then again, if you give the person in need money, they'll keep coming back for it. It's a real crap shoot

People scam for some reason sometimes they commit crime such as what so called scam , just to fill their needs in daily lives , and some are doing it because of greedyness of a person. As you said to because of very desperate on what their desire is they committing crime , and they scam to just to become rich , rich and richer they wanted more than just a thousand , they wanted more as higher than a million. And yes it have a return or what so called karma , either it's good or bad.

On the other hand, they become selfish to right? , what if they just spend a few dollars to help some in need , that spend it to nonsense things. We all have different perspective through out this topic but for me is all I wanna say is people scamming, is because they wanted more they been dazzled through money.

936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins to buy ? on: December 16, 2017, 05:44:48 PM
Yes, right now Which altcoins to buy ? i have 1000 dolar

I suggest to buy ethereum why , as we've seen ethereum is growing too and still increasing , but maybe the half of your 1000 dollar invest it to ethereum the other half is try to different altcoins such as litecoins like that. And the half of it I think try the method of buy low and sell high process to have a extra profits or to have a great income. The ethereum is still growing at the same time , but I suggest too that search it or even surf to a different sites, but still beware sometimes it can lead to scam sites okay? Be careful and awareness , and be wise.

938  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices on: December 16, 2017, 05:01:48 PM
With the unstable increase and decrease in bitcoin is it a good idea buying, selling or holding now? Like yesterday I saw it hit $19,000 on coinbase but today it stands at $16,000

The bitcoin value been shock the world by the suddenly increase , but last day or last last day I monitor it and I've seen that the bitcoin value decreases. And I regret that I din't sell it and right now as of now, bitcoin surprise us again , now the bitcoin value is almost a million for the phillippines. Now is still holding my bitcoin until it increases , still I'm happy and excited , and looking forward it's still increasing though.
939  Economy / Economics / Re: Where can i invest my money? on: December 16, 2017, 04:32:18 PM
I currently have 2mil usd for investment.

I wanna invest it on bitcoin. Where can I invest it?

Please give me all the alternatives

thanks!

also, please look at my first post I plan to build a mining farm: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1764338.msg17619998#msg17619998

I suggest that keep investing through bitcoin , mining bitcoin or mining farm sounds good , but It can cost many money and second is invest through many altcoins , or what so called alternative coins like ethereum, but for me is just invest through the bitcoin industry. Don't you know many businessman , entrepreneurs , and investors invest through the bitcoin industry. To gain some profits, to have a good and better future. And another suggestion is after you invest it maybe hold it for a while and release it , then trade it buy low sell high basis. The only way or better way is just to invest.
