921  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc and gold can now be called "safe" on: August 11, 2020, 03:36:08 AM
And volatility of BTC price is known to all, you can just buy and relax thinking it's safe you needed to be alert on the market situation.

I agree on this.

Bitcoin may increase in time but there are those times that it falls and the price changes quickly most of the times. We can say that it is safe in a period of time or in a certain time but there are those times that can give people or investors losses making it risky.
922  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy restart big Boom and prosperity Coming on: August 09, 2020, 11:55:58 AM
A lot of things are happening, I am not being pessimistic, just based on what is happening.

There are a lot of economies going down because of the pandemic, not just that bit there are a lot of things that are also happening for example that Beirut explosion and as long as we still don't have that vaccine, there will still negative effects on the economies of the country.
We wish that things get back to normal and everybody returns wot heir businesses and jobs. There has being a major hit to everyone in the world due to pandemic situation and millions of people are struggling to survive this phase due to no work, no food to eat or various other issues which different from each individual. Hope the sooner things become normal better for all to regain prosperity back.

I think people will still be uncertain deapite the vaccine being made.

This pandemic and other things that happened did not just hit us physically, or economically, it also hit us emotionally. It may go back to normal but that would leave a scar to people and we could spot that to the economies of the country. This will take years to heal, especially the economy.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos Scared of Lawsuits on: August 09, 2020, 11:21:44 AM
I don't think it will win in any court because the virus is everywhere and it's invisible the accuser will have a hard time proving that he really gets the CoVid in the facility, they could have got it in their homes in while travelling while in the market or while in the street it's hard to established the fact on this case but I don't like casinos open at this point of time people should only stay home and restrict their moves.

I think thaybt would be really hard.

I mean it is said that it is airborne-in-a-way so people couldn't really prove if they got the virus in a certain casino or maybe when they are going home. There are a lot of people they meet and talk to, there are also those aymptotic cases which might be the reason they are contaminated.
924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You have to prove that you can take the loss on: August 09, 2020, 10:16:13 AM
This is insane, I never thought this would become a law, this is not gambler's friendly.
What they did is they want to limit including those gamblers who are responsible in what they are doing, come one, this is not good for the business TBH.

I hope they stick to UK though.

It will not affect all of the gamblers but the problem might spread to other countries as well. Still, that £100 per month cap is really small. I doubt an online gambler would bet such small amount in a month. I agree that this is not good for the business. Let's hope for the best though.
925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 09, 2020, 09:46:04 AM
But the sentence that made my eyebrows raise is the part of the article that says, they can do it again even without Kawhi.

Why would you feel bad about that? It's normal to a team that they will continue to believe that they will win.
Raptors believe in themselves that they can do it again, but it doesn't mean that they will win.
Yes, and that's what makes Raptors dangerous because other teams are going to take them lightly because Kawhi has left, but look at the team right now, still one of the best in the Eastern division. And it's really based on the core team that has remain intact, so there is still a chance that they can defend the ring without Kawhi and the Raptors are believing that they can do it again.

They will be playing against Bucks this week.

Raptors shows how great they are without Kawhi in this bubble, well let's see how will they go against the best team in the east right now. The Bucks are having a hard time when the bubble started. We doesn't know what they are thinking and I think they might show something against Raptors.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a good bettor? on: August 09, 2020, 03:37:09 AM
As you've said it, people should know a lot of things to the games or sports they are betting on. Without this knowledge to a certain game you are betting, you are increasing your risk of losing. Even if you are following someone's bet, you are blindly betting at it. You can analyze games, performance and matchups to be able to see your probability of winning.

It doesn't give you a 100% win since there are those games that are unexpected.
There’s a lot of factors to be a good bettor, the very important thing is knowledge and luck. Agree with that knowledge is the most important thing you have to conduct a study before placing a bet like the history of their game, their previous wins and the health of the team or players. For us to be more successful bettor we should do our best to evaluate everything as much as we can.

We can't rely on luck though.

People says they can feel it, but we can't see it, we can't measure it so we don't know whether we are lucky or not. And if we don't know that we are lucky, how can we say that we are a good bettor? Lucks comes along the way, knowledge and skill is the most important, the same as the money.
927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do scams harm Bitcoin's reputation in the mainstream world? on: August 09, 2020, 02:29:59 AM
It is.

For us it might be nothing since we know what Bitcoin really is and scams will not destroy the reputation of it no matter what. It is not the same though with other people that have their eyes opened with Bitcoin being a scam or used to scam other people. Without someone telling what Bitcoin really is, it will not stop.

Also, let's say this is your Private key : L4hVMF5PXJ pyy9w2r3k NvyPiDhaPcbd P5uh2Bp G63cmgp647PZnL   - You can store the section in Bold in different locations without people having access to the sections that are not in Bold, so they can do nothing with those sections. (Only you know how to put the puzzle together when all sections are together)

Uhmm. I already did this in separate locations.

Half of the keys are in my house right now and the other on my aunts and uncle's house. I thought it is an ingenious way of doing it but I guess there are a lot of people here thinking the same. I thought of this a year ago but I am also scared since they have children in their house so that might be gone when I come back.
I guess, it's better if you put those on a place where you always visit, like your home or your rest house, so you can check it and there are no worries.

It might be safe because it is separate but what do you think will happen if there's a phenomenon occur in the area where those separated pieces are located? It could still have a risk of losing it.

It is not the same as in 'different location' though.

When I left the keys there, I left them this DVD with the private keys printed as a cover. I also left them this album and behind the photos are the private keys. They are jumbled and I am the only one who knows that. If that is all lost, the keys are jumbled on my uncle's wall and here in our house, in my working space and my girlfriend's phone but it is just like a diary. Only me can encode that.

929  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's ok if your profits are less on: August 08, 2020, 12:14:18 PM
Knowing when is enough is one of the qualities of successful traders. alertness and wisdom, knowing the market in stages is a very difficult skill to acquire. Therefore, we should not bring greed when dealing, instead have a cold head and analyze the market in many directions to have more plans to deal with it. Be flexible and we will make a lot of money in every financial market.

So true.

Despite the low profits people are getting here, they still continue to reinvest and keep on investing. Some even says that they are not actually using the profits they are getting but it just goes back to Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies to reinvest. That would give you more and more profits in the long run.
930  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people run away from trading!!! on: August 08, 2020, 11:28:03 AM
The initial word that stands out here is anxiety.
Business usually has ups and downs but not everyone can go through this crisis. So several people are run away from trading.

Another thing is the risk.

People thought it is easy to do this but underestimates the fact that it is risky. After experiencing it, they will be running from it and blame the market being volatile. Most of them are beginners and can't actually manage the risks they are taking, they should learn that beforehand.
931  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: August 08, 2020, 10:48:37 AM
If cryptocurrency is to be spread everywhere then it is possible because cryptocurrency is not acceptable everywhere. Suppose you get paid in cryptocurrency for what you have done, but what do you do when you go to a hotel to buy food? So in the current context we need real currency. So we can't imagine our daily life without banks.

You're saying it like these banks make these fiats.

If you buy these foods in hotels, do you still go to the bank? If you will be paying for their service and you will be using fiat, do you still need to go to the bank? These hotels will accept your payment directly unless you are using a card or mobile apps. These daily transactions does not need banks unless you are using your card or a mobile app connected to your bank account.

I am confused why did they operate then?

We are in a pandemic and if people realized they have the virus they will find a way to blame it to others even if they are at fault and obviously, they will blame the casinos or maybe the bars. Despite the level of the casinos, small or not, there will be no exceptions. They should've think this through.

Maybe that is the reason why some casinos, despite the permission for them to operate did not open.
Is it allowed in the US to sue entities for the spreading of "common" diseases such as the flu or the COVID ?

Covid, yes.

As far as I know these casinos or bars shoyld be able to follow the protocols so that people would be safe from the pandemic. If it is proven that they are not following these protocols, yes, they can sue the casinos. As far as I know workers are even suing the casinos where they are working with the same resaon.

935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: August 08, 2020, 05:45:43 AM
Based on what I heard and read so far, a person that caught a virus via droplets depends on the capability of a virus to be airborne. There are studies already been taken and some if not all experts think that the COVID 19 virus might be airborne. Their definition of being airborne is that the virus can stay in the air for a long period of time. That means if someone sneezed and that has the virus, even if that happened 2-3 hours ago, if you entered the room where the person sneezed, you will get the virus.

Thanks for that clarification.

That is really alarming, we've been in a seminar about it before then lockdowns and we've told that it fall straight to the ground or fall into things close to it, it is funny since I specifically asked them if it is airborne and they said no. What I am saying is their answer, to be honest. Thanks again.

Casinos in Las Vegas should really have some measures against this.
936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: August 07, 2020, 11:19:55 AM
As far as I know being airborne means it can be carried by the air.

What you are saying is just the respiratory droplets through sneezing, breathing others. If it is airborne, it would be like a gas leak, radiation from the leak which people should abandon that place in certain mile or distance. If it is really airborne, social distancing is not enough. This will be really tragic if that is the case especially to Las Vegas with functioning casinos and bars.

Although some of the concepts are a little erroneous in your statement above, you are never-the-less starting to grasp the seriousness of the pandemic.

I don't know, maybe confused on how I understand it. Thanks for that explanations.

This will really fall into the hands of the gamblers themselves. If they wanted to take care of themselves, they will be thinking where to gamble and obviously decide to do it online and not offline though that won't be decided by us.
We don't know what to happen even if we already wear masks and follow the regulations.

Wearing masks is not everything.

You wear masks when you go outside but you don't wash or disinfect them after using(cloth masks). These masks you used might've this virus in the front so be aware and not touch them. Alcohol is your partner as always, never forget that.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 900,000 illegal bitcoins. on: August 07, 2020, 10:33:38 AM
At first I was worried about this but then I read someone's post saying without these illegal transactions, Bitcoin might not be the same.

Bitcoin may not be fully anonymous but we can't remove the fact that there will always be those people that would take advantage of these to do illegal transactions. I think that billion might not even be comparable to trillions and trillions of fiats being used to the same kind of acts until now.

939  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will you do when Bitcoin reach$20k? on: August 07, 2020, 08:48:43 AM
I have a certain price in mind but while I hold it I just hope I could use it.

It feels like it is better if I can just use it to buy things that I wanted to not sell it for me to be able to use it. Either way, I would just reinvest most of that if that price was ever reached.
940  Economy / Speculation / Re: When we will see $12k Bitcoin once again? on: August 07, 2020, 07:50:43 AM
The current price is so close to $ 12k. Moreover, some speculations such as the Cointelegraph also argue that an impending price hike has the potential to make bitcoin price reach $ 12k. however, I really hope that this month, the price of bitcoin reaches $ 12k.

Based on the increasing price, we will be reaching it in no time

The current price is at $11.8K, I doubt that it will stop there. It might break the price at $12K and even higher, maybe $13K might be even broken. This is just amazing, I wonder how long will his last? Maybe weeks more and we might even break the ATH.
