921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New stratum/getwork proxy with Web-based GUI and pools management on: April 06, 2016, 11:02:52 AM
This proxy works great !!!!

It connect's to all the pool except for these

solo.ckpool.org, solo.nicehash.com, and nicehash... it keeps disconnecting ... why ?

My miner are both S3+ with Kano update 4.9.2

the proxy itself cannot mine via solo 'getwork' per se ...

and with nicehash - their stratums disconnect you if you are idle for a period of time ( i dunno what that time is ) ...

the only way you can stop the proxy from being disconnected from the nicehash stratum - is to be listed on their whitelist ... and you can only do that via a request from their support email ...

hi all ...

chrysophylax here ...

im messaging from this 'newbie' account 'crysx' because i have tried to log in to bct from the new premises - and failed miserably ...

due to my computer being a linux machine AND being fully encrypted AND having a password wallet that is fully encrypted - i only ever really need to know a few passwrds ( 16 in all ) ... one of the passwords ( and details as i later found out - due to the questions that bct ask for verification ) i did not alott to memory were those conatined in the personal encrypted wallet ... one of those was bitcointalk password and details ...

yesterday - i tried to log in unsucessfully with the wrong password ... the password is 3 years old - which as long as ive had the chrysophylax profile ... it also has made more than 3000posts and is a hero member - about to go to legendary in the coming weeks / months ... now before any of you carryo on about changing passwords regularly and all that - i agree and am totally devoted to changing 'simplistic' passwords ... not ones that require brute force with decryption algorithms and a farm of hash to crack the passwords ... so to move on with the story ...

more than all that - the chrysophylax profile is also is the authority profile for the granite thread AND the dbm thread ( the two projects i currenty have ) and was about to take control of the other coin we have just adopted - ozziecoin ...

when the unsuccessful attempt to log in was tried three times - i attempted to change passwords via email ...

the email was sent from bct to my email address - and i followed the instructions to the 'change password' link - only to have them as a private question - which i have forgotten the answer to also ...

i didnt think that was much of an issue - except that as soon as the submit button was clicked - i receieved the following message ...

Code:
An Error Has Occurred!

Sorry chrysophylax, you are banned from using this forum!
For security, your account has been locked. Email acctcomp15@theymos.e4ward.com

now this shows three things ...

1 - the security measures that bct have in place are brief and not very descriptive ...
2 - the security measures that bct have in place are active ...
3 - the security measures that bct have in place work ...

now i proceeded to send an email to the above email address to theymos - and will see what happens in the following couple of days ... being an easter weekend - i would assume this may take a little more time so ill leave it till mid to end of next week ...

if i havent received a response by then - ill message mprep and see what suggestion he / she will advise of what can be done ...

a three year hero profile like mine should NEVER be allowed to go to waste ( as i know many of you have had profiles lost that are much older than that again ) - and there should be various countermeasures to allow the official owner of the account to prove themselves ( like knowing or remebering the last private messages before the lockout - which in my case was the 23rd march 2016 ) ...

but again - we will see what happens with the responses i get ...

i will keep you all informed of what happnes with this through this profile ive now started ( which is the short version of my name anyway ) ...

as for the update so far ...

the move is being finalized on the 28th march 2016 ( a couple of days away ) which means i will be on and offline here for the next few days - only to be completely offline for a few days while i set up house in the new premises ... this means that i will be only messaging when necessary - and any of those of you that needed my attention before this happened via pm ( there were about 7 pms in all - i only got to answer one ) will need to send a pm to this current profile - until i can resolve this issue with theymos ( and mprep if possible ) - to get back into my official profile ...

thefarm will be down and will not be back in to production until another residence for it can be found - and am currently in the process of looking for a small warehouse for its growth and redesign and development ... that will happen end of next week when i have personally settled into my ( partner and i ) new residence ...

i will be posting this message in all three forums that are granite based - AND - the mining forums i usually frequent ( like spmod and tpruvot thread ) ...

much appreciated for all your support thus far - and hope to be back online soon with my proper profile ...

#crysx

-------

i still havent heard from the people at bct - so im working with this account until i can get my other account back ...

im a little more settled with the move and now looking for a new place to 'home' thefarm ( and thegrid ) ...

id luv to catch up with those that ive not been in touch with due to the previous account lockout and forum ban ...

Good luck

tanx crazywack ...

but still nothing from them for about a week and a half now ...

i posted because a LOT of members still think i have access to the profile - and continue to send pms and communication that way ... i dont get ANY of them ...

so for the time being - im using this newbie ( ie - VERY limited account ) to get back on to bct and communicate ...

but i do appreciate the positive backup here - as its become a debilitating issue - not being able to communicate as effectively as i used to ...

anyway ... i see things here have been progressing - albeit slowly - but progressing nonetheless ... all good things take time - and i think that this project will be a bomb exploding when its fully functional ...

ive now taken over ozziecoin as well as having granite - so i would luv to have these two coins as part of the toshidesk project when it comes to light ... ill be back full time on the grn and ozc and dbm projects within a couple of weeks anyway - so a many changes will be happening soon - and if there is anything i can bring here - i will ...

I think it does x11@8.4MHASH with sp-private #5. gigabyte windforce. And quark@18.4MHASH. lyra2v2@10.5MHASH
I get 18.5 quark on a EVGA 970 with +100 OC with the FOS version. Hard to justify paying .1 BTC. How much are
you holding back in your super-private version?

I guess my private #5 will do do 19 mhash on the same clocks. But you also get a boost in x11,x13,x15,nist5,lya2v2,neoscrypt. 0.1 btc is nothing. Alot if hard work to reach these kernal speeds.

I appreciate the hard work, I've done a lot in the past couple of months. I know a lot of it has been
cut & paste but there is original work also. But hard work doesn't sell a product.

For the 3% increase you are offering one would need 3 970s to break even. That would give 9%
increase for 10% of the price of a 970 compared to 100% increase for 100% of the price of a 970.
I'm not big enough yet.

exactly joblo ...

which is why if you had multiple cards - it would be well worth the effort to put in ... a single card user will ALWAYS find it hard to break even on a monetary level - which is why i have ALWAYS worked on my version of 'profitability' - not the current version everyone works off by converting back over to btc then fiat ...

in any case - you have done a HUGE amount of work with the cpuminer as well - and i would like to discuss a few things with you if possible on that end ... if possible anyway ...

i have purchased the versions ( notice plural ) of the private miners - and it has worked out very well ...

now my move has been done and i am in the unpacking and settling period - thefarm is down and i cannot mine with it unless i set it all up in the house ... not gonna happen! ...

but with regards to the purchase and breaking even - it took me about 25days to break even using thefarm and sps private miner - and thats because i have paid much more than the 0.1btc ( for multiversions and linux ) depending on what miner was running at the time ... but the average of 25days is NOT including electricity and rent for the property thefarm was in ... this is based on JUST the cost of the private miners ...

so i can say only this much ... if thefarm took almost a month to break even on 'just' the cost of the miners - and i paid much more than 0.1btc ... then the smaller miners with a few cards would break even in a much smaller period of time - and continue to make coin ( dcr or otherwise ) if the mining continued ... how much time that would take? ... i can only speculate ... but at the moment - mining versus 'profitability' ( the common version - not mine ) - this is the more 'profitable' time to mine than it was only two months ago ...

unfortunately for me - im missing out on that also until i can find a new home for thefarm ... and that looks like it wont happen for at least another few weeks ...

im much more interested in quark optimization - as im leaning more towards the change of algo to quark on granite ( grn ) and ozziecoin ( ozc ) from x11 ...

hi all ...

this is my fault - not soopys ...

i was supposed to contact the exchanges to release the wallets BEFORE i moved - as i knew it would not be possible while i did the move ...

ccex was contacted and i thought i had contacted yobit as well - but just researching my emails i have here ( but not the chrysophylax profile as i STILL cant get into my profile due to the the bct people STILL not getting back to me - and i cant access ANY of those emails ) i cant see any emails sent to yobit ...

so the possibility of an email reaching yobit is slim ...

ill email them today with the request to open the exchange wallets again ...

my apologies ...

crysx, thanks for the update! I gues Granite will reappear at Coinmarketcap soon? Smiley
I keep my eye on this one.

no worries george5 ...

i am only starting to settle in - so im not on here ( or working ) as much as id like to be ... but in a few weeks that will change ...

as for coinmarketcap ...

im unsure if it was them that refused to have anyone on there unless they were on bittrex / cryptsy / poloniex ... i could be wrong - but im sure that was the prerequisite at one stage for them ...

granite WAS on bittrex a long time ago - and at that time it was still known as GraniteCoin ... so the remnants of that on coinmarketcap is still there - but no updates have been done on their end ...

coinmarketcap - http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/granitecoin/ ...

the charts still seem to be accurate to an extent - but because they havent refreshed to the latest daemon or have the latest links to all the components for granite - a lot of these links dont work or are redirected to the wrong place ...

i have contacted a few of the marketcap places in the last year - and due to granite being a low volume coin ( much less than what it is now ) - the marketcap places were not interested in updating ...

i will have a hunt around for others ... and possibly be able to get some that still have the stats for granite ( most will still be GraniteCoin unfortunately ) - but i cant see any real success in it due to the restrictions a lot of these places have on the coin to be listed ...

i would be more than happy to supply any of these marketcap sites the details they require - if im asked to ...

the op is outdated and i have yet to hear from the people at bct about getting my profile back - so its a 'wait and see' scenario here ... if i cant get my profile back - i cant change the threads - and i cant continue with these updates on here ...

the granite forum is being redone - and will be a source of information very soon as well ... so what cannot be found here - will be found there ...

huge buy order at bluetrade , ready to sell my 2 million granite to make some cool btc. lets see who will beat me to this task ?  Grin

wow - 2mgrn ... thats a tidy sum ...

lets see how this pans out ...

also keep your eye out for safecex and the trades there ... there seem to be some arbitrage opportunities hovering between the two exchanges with granite ...

bleutrade - https://bleutrade.com/exchange/GRN/BTC ...
safecex - https://safecex.com/market?q=GRN/BTC ...

i trade on both - and find that both are very good ... though safecex is very quick compared to bleutrade ...

Cool I was waiting for a good explorer to mill over,

This is concerning though, so the wallet with 10 billion is for the free coins?

Then one more massive holder, (old dev?) then it looks like next 6 wallets are same person,

so like 2 people hold pretty much all of this coin outside of the premine for distribution.  Shocked

That cant be healthy,

hi thoth ...

the 10billion ( actually a little over - the rest are my coins ) have been transferred by the previous dev to my personal wallet ... im holding them there to consider what to do with this premine ...

that 103million is probably the old dev - maybe not ... i know he holds some coins and rightly so ... he started this whole project and mined enough for himself over a period of time ...

the other wallets with 55million in each is something i have no knowledge of ... at least - not yet ...

i have yet to get onto the server that holds the funds for the faucet and the devfund ( which is the same wallet as far as i know - but ill find out ) ... when i do get in - if those funds are there and available - i will transfer them to my personal wallet also - and include them in the premine ... i hold quite a few million coins in a few different wallets - as ive mined ( and still am to a very small hashrate currently due to thefarm being down ) but not as much as the these wallets suggest ... so i have no idea currently as to where these wallets are - and to who owns them ...

thoughts about the premine coins? ... do we still walk along the same line as the previous plan? ... or do we look at a different direction and plan ( with possible name change and rebase ) to move things along here for ozc ( which is becoming the more preferred of the options ive considered ) ...

in my hands ( and that of the previous dev also from what i can see ) - these coins will never be dumped ... the fact that i dont dump coins anyway - as one of the 'larger' miners this end of the globe - should be enough proof that the coins wont be ... in fact - im considering quite a few ways of 'dealing' with them ... i dont involve myself with a project to kill it - by dumping or otherwise ( which is how ( and when ) i started with granite ... from about 2sat - and everyone dumping it ) ...

suggestions and ideas are always welcome ...

hi all ...

a few changes in between unpacking and sorting ...

1 - the code for ozc has been migrated to my git and has had a couple of changes made to it ... alongside granite - ozc now has a total of ( the same ) 7 seednodes for sync and blockchain distribution ... these are full nodes - which are a service to the entire ozc network ... these seednodes have also been hardcoded and recompiled in each of the seeds - which means the new code also has all 7 seeds ...

so those that are savvy with linux can compile immediately - and those that have windows experience compiling can setup up their own wallets from this new git ... for those that cant compile - no issues ... over the coming weeks - we will be organizing new wallets for you to download at your leisure ... you will also find that there is no hesitation with sync using these new wallets - which makes for an easier sync as you dont have to fiddle with the .conf files - unless you require it for a specific purpose ( like setting up your own node ) ...

we already have plans underway to have all of the projects under one umbrella - and will be setting that side of the 'mother' site up over the coming weeks and months ...

so far - we currently have the following that we have been working on and will amalgamate into the one website for easier use ...

- thefarm ( utilizing thegrid ) which complements our projects through mining ...
- the new website ( granite currently - but will change to the new umbrella soon ) which will incorporate all of the above projects ...

a lot in store - and a lot more planned ...

but as with any of you that know how i work - it wont be just 'roadmaps' and 'pretty pictures' with promises of things happening 'tomorrow' or 'next week' ... we mean business and would rather bring the finished products rather than just 'talk' about them ... that can take time - and will certainly take an large effort on our part ... so be patient and always come back to see how the projects are progressing ...

hi all ...

a few changes in between unpacking and sorting ...

Hi!
Question!
what intensity (other than default) is recommended for sp_'s ccminer on DECRED?

because with standard diff (which i don't know what it is) my hashrate swings up and down all the time in zpool.ca, but usually the average is 10% lower than it should be.

thanks.
indkt

depends on the card mate ...

but i found that 29.6 seems to work REALLY well on most of the cards of thefarm ( gigabyte 750ti oc lp and gigabyte 980ti g1 ) ...

though i have not tested any of the later decred versions since #5 - as im still settling in after my move ...

Working on decred #8.

gtx 750ti +10MHASH (+1.8%)
gtx 980ti +55MHASH
gtx970 + 30MHASH

hi sp ...

im back online ( though still not with my original profile ) and will be setting the test machine up very soon ... ie - 1 x gigabyte 980ti g1 + 1 x gigabyte 750ti oc lp ...

thefarm will not go back online yet - but i am looking at a very nice candidate to house thefarm and thegrid ... so im hoping within the next month - we should have thefarm back online ... im also working on a better cooling system for the machines - which hopefully will be successful - and as such - be beneficial for the operation of the systems ...

if decred #8 is working well - i would definitely be interested ...

tanx ...

Someone is pushing the price up,

Despite my best attempts.....

Well played  Cry

its not me mate ...

i bought my lot of ozc at 2sat and have spent no more btc since ...

moving has not only given me a broken back - but also an empty bank account ... and with thefarm down at the moment - i cant mine any coin to fill the coffers of the various coins ...

so whoever it is thats doing it - may see something in the coin ...

but further than price - the plans i have for the coin AND the integration into the grn ecosystem will be something that requires my full attention ... so over the next week - ill finalize the unpacking and the search for the new small warehouse for thefarm ...

so for the coming week - ill be very quiet concerning the coins and work on both grn and ozc ... but after this week - it will be a different story altogether ...

if i dont get my profile back ( as i have yet to hear from theymos or anyone from this forum ) ill look at other avenues at keeping updates and communication channels open ...

i must admit - im getting quite 'antsy' about the lack of communication from the moderators of bct ... especially for something as important as 'hero' and legendary' accounts ...

anyway - back to rest and then unpacking some more ...

Ah good, it's not you I dumped like 10 mil on them and they gobbled it up then set higher buys  Undecided Had a good thing going all week soaking up all the 2 sat sells...

take your time, nothing good happens fast, I need a week to recover from moving normally, ghastly affair

all good mate ...

im accumulating a few for myself also ... and later this week - ill be setting up the new structure that i have planned and currently organized ( with my mate that registers domains and keeps the servers running through his datacenter ) ...

i think i will open a new thread for it also - to bring together all three projects ( dbm grn ozc ) under the one umbrella ...

found a candidate for thefarm - a nice 'small' warehouse ... will be looking at this warehouse very shortly ( next couple of days ) to gather what sort of electricity it has and whether it will be suitable for the growth of thefarm via the thegrid ...

still unpacking - and still no word from theymos ... ill be messaging mprep today - which i may get a response from ...

will keep everyone updated as to what happens - as i really want my chrysophylax profile back ...
