It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

17,000 blocks already mined?

GRN has been around for a while. Looks like they are trying to revive community interest.

exactly ...

yes and yes ...

This is a takeover of the coin - NOT a restart ... a revival if you will ...

So for those that recognize GRN - it is still the same coin but 'under new management' ...

While it is still the same coin that many have grown to appreciate - it is the backend and wallet that we want to re-stabalize and the trading of GRN as a 'currency' as the aim so far ...

The re-development and continuous growth of GRN will come in time ...

It is a simple coin - POW only - and is a perfect candidate for hardcore miners ...

More to come soon Smiley

 Huh Huh Huh

This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on Aug 1st unless the average trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.1 BTC

Thats correct - hence the changeover of the coin AND the remarketing of it ...

There are quite a few changes that are happening on the backend - and we are trying stop the delisting from happening ...

We obviously need the community behind us - but will try and get as much done as we can ... this all takes time though - which means that we can only do so much with the little amount of time we have for now ...

If we all start trading the GRN coins we have - this will alleviate ANY issue in the future ...

This is obvious - but time will tell what we can do ...

We need the community behind us - as well as ideas other than what we have planned ...

Progress will happen - but it is a slow progress ...

One of the simplest of coins - for the Hardcore Miner ...

Or if you guys had 0.7BTC to rub together you could simply buy 0.1 BTC of GRN every day for a week....

5 hours and no block found!
on dedicated pool

Yeah - thats due to the small amount of hash rate we have ...

I have split my miners between dedicatedpool and coinking ...

The mining I do on dedicated are coins I want to wallet and keep and trade later - whereas the mining I do on coinking is the mining I want converted to btc ...

Its costing a bit to get the coin back on track - and develop - and I just need all the money I can get Wink hehehe ...

I am so glad that you are supporting GRN with mining - the hardcore miners are what keep ALL of this alive ...

its going to take a little more work - but the blocks will come when the difficulty adjusts and we get the miners all back in ...

When mining on coinking - GRN gets converted (if you set it to convert of course) through bittrex - which in turn increases trade volume - which is one of the reasons I have moved most of the farm there ...

Once bittrex is stabalized - then we can concentrate on mining anywhere - and the more miners we get to come in ... thus the more blocks found Smiley

Ill move the farm to mine on dedicated this afternoon (Adelaide Australia time - GMT+0930) so that we can at least get that pools numbers up also (probably in the next hour) ...

I hope this makes sense ...

I can even show you how to get it setup for just the way I set it up if you like ... maybe a small tutorial in the next week if anyone is interested ...

I suppose we could - and have traded for ourselves as well - conversion into btc and back again - making that little bit more GRN Wink ...

But the real reason we dont go all out and trade hard (and this is also endorsed by bittrex bill) is that we want the market to grow as organically as possible AND have miners as well as investors wanting to trade GRN and make it a viable option for trade ...

The support of mining farms and traders are what we look forward to ... people like you Smiley

After all - this coin was designed with a long PoW ... a coin made for Hardcore Miners and Traders alike ...

and we appreciate ALL the help we can get Smiley

Not a launch at all ... In fact - the launch itself was incredible - was about two months ago ...

No - this is a new thread about the same coin GRN - but with a different management/ownership ...

the last owner did a great job - but couldnt continue investing so much time for the development and upkeep ...

So (with a great deal of his help) organized the transfer of ownership of the coin and took over it ...

Im now organizing a team to restart the development and remarket GRN to get it back on the market ... Its a good solid mining coin ...

of course - any help with this venture will be very much appreciated ...

So this is a new thread about the continuation of GRN - especially now that I have the time (and some money) to invest into it ...

Come and join in mining and trading GRN - we welcome ALL ...

And now there is no exchange.

Well - After SOOO much 'pleading' with bittrex-bill to allow me some form of extension regarding GRN and my taking over the coin only a few days ago ... the response was simple on his part ... the previous owner got some extensions - now you are the new owner - you get no more extensions REGARDLESS of whether you are only new to the ownership of the coin OR the development ...

hmmm ... sounds to me that there is no more leway than what would benefit bittrex and NOT the traders ... maybe Im completely wrong ...

In anycase ... we are STILL going forward with the development of the coin - STILL going ahead with the plans and arrangements - STILL going ahead with the ideas to implement with the wallet - block explorer - website ...

After all - this IS a miners coin that is used well for trading as well ... now we just need another platform for trading ...

Stay tuned - Although I am disappointed that bittrex-bill still delisted it after I have only had GRN a few days under my wing - we will try and get GRN listed elsewhere so that we can continue trading it ...

Mining however is still a viable option - until we can get back onto another exchange ...

we are not losing hope ...

Hi all,

After an entire days work getting the servers up and running - and setting the systems to acknowledge the servers - the seednodes are now up and active ...

This time we have setup 3 Servers so that ANY or ALL the seednodes may be used in the config file ...

The main page is now updated with the seednode details and soon we will put up the steps detailing the process of getting your wallet sync active and running - if you dont already know how to get it done ...

That too will be on the main page under the seednode info ...

Happy syncing AND mining ... Soon - we hope to have GRN back on an exchange so we can start trading it once again ...

All good on sync and initial mine "network diff to 25", no new blocks.  Wasting time?
