921  Economy / Gambling / Re: Promote Your Casino in our Gambling Newsletter of 9,982 Members! 14 Spots Left! on: February 04, 2024, 03:41:37 PM
Are you sure that all those members are somehow connected with gambling and do they also have accounts on some gambling sites where they regularly gamble? I mean it's nice to have around 10k members in your list but if they aren't active players then how would it be helpful for casinos. Send me details in PM so I can see if the offer is really a good one then I may try to communicate with a few casinos to see if they are interested in it or not.

923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS Quantum Computing on: February 04, 2024, 03:29:26 PM
What impact could advances in quantum computing have on the security and integrity of the Bitcoin blockchain? Moreover, what efforts need to be made within the crypto community to address potential vulnerabilities ?
At current times we should not worry much about Quantum computing because it's not available to public yet and it will take a lot of time to be available to public. The real concern is the current issues that we are facing as Bitcoin adopters and that's because of the BRC-20 protocol or ordinals.

I know that in future we may find a way to tackle the quantum computing because the quantum computers won't be available to public because of the commercial factor. The companies don't want to ruin their current computing empires that they have built after huge effort and that's the main reason behind delaying of Quantum computers.

Just relax and don't worry for now because Quantum computers aren't available yet and when they become available then surely developers will develop new algorithms and encryption modes which will be enough to stop those quantum computers.
924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC in Russia on: February 04, 2024, 03:01:24 PM
Maybe you can use the local language board of Russia on this forum to get more advice on how you or your friend can Buy Bitcoin in Russia.
I agree with you, Russian local board seems to be the only good place to ask such questions because those who live in Russia can guide better that how someone from Russia can purchase Bitcoin with Rubble. I think on that board there might be those members also who might want to sell out their Bitcoin for Rubble, and in that case the user doesn't need to go anywhere else to find for the service because he might get a local guy from that board who may agree to sell him and his friend Bitcoin in exchange of Rubble.
925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Community is a Sybil Attack On Bitcoin on: February 04, 2024, 09:31:24 AM
That's a strange title and misguiding one, if the Bitcoin community is a Sybil Attack on Bitcoin then why Bitcoin exist in first place? Bitcoin is Bitcoin because of the community and support it's getting from the community. Without the community and users Bitcoin can't really be a useful thing at all, so it's better to not use such misleading title.

I know that Sybil attacks are of a concern but considering whole community as sybil attack is not right at all. I know that sybil attack is a concern and it was a concern back then also but it's not fair to consider the whole community as sybil attack on Bitcoin.
926  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: What is best way to maintain your privacy sending payment with Electrum wallet? on: February 04, 2024, 09:09:36 AM
What is best way to maintain your privacy sending btc payment with Electrum wallet?
Use Tor for the privacy as that's going to be easy and helpful at the same time. It would be difficult for you to run your own personal node but that's also a good option. I would suggest you to follow the instructions of the Zaguru12 as he has mentioned the best ways to avail full privacy while using Electrum wallet. I wouldn't suggest you another wallet but if you really want to use one then you should opt for the open-source wallets only.
927  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you spend a lot of time on screen? on: February 04, 2024, 09:02:19 AM
I'm not sure about others but I do spend a lot of time on screen. I think some days I spend more than 12 hours a day on screen while normally I spend around 5-8 hours on screen. I'm an avid reader and I do most of my reading on screen. Although, I own a kindle but I rarely use it to read books, I mostly read books and news on screen.

I watch so many helpful videos on daily basis and for those I also need to use the screen. I spend some good time on this forum and other forums that I use, and for those I also have to use the screen. I think life would be much difficult for me without using the screen, I do spend time with my family and friends but most of my time I'm using the screen either of my smartphone, or that of my monitor, or that of my laptop, and sometimes of my kindle.
928  Other / Meta / Re: USE OF CHAT GPT-RULES on: February 03, 2024, 11:01:03 PM
I don't know about you but I prefer getting answers from real people instead chatbot.
I agree with you and I also prefer to get answers from real humans instead of chatbots that were trained on data which's publicly available. Those chatbots can't really have the emotions or ideas that real humans have and that's why getting answers from those bots is not useful at all.

I wont suggest anyone to use those AI text generators because instead of helping you they can create more troubles for you. Members of this forum really don't like to talk with bots and they don't want to hear the answers or replies that are generated by a bot. It's much better to avoid those in order to be more productive. I think traditional school way of writing is much better than getting any help from those AI chatbots.

I highly disagree with OP's suggestion and I would never want a Chatbot to be part of a reputable forum like Bitcointalk. The users who need help here on Bitcointalk will get the help through real humans not through a bot. If chatbots continue doing everything that humans do on this forum then soon we will be allowing those bots to take decisions for us and that will lead to destruction of our thoughts and ideas.
929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin ETF really the best to hold? on: February 03, 2024, 12:25:58 PM
I would willingly hold a reputed altcoin instead of holding Bitcoin ETF. Those who are holding ETF don't really know that they aren't holding any Bitcoin and those people are paying fees for holding those ETFs. I would most probably consider holding an altcoin instead of holding that ETF.

In long term it's much safe and better to hold Bitcoin not Bitcoin ETF. However, because those ETFs can be useful for Bitcoin community as the ETF companies will spend money for advertising of Bitcoin, and only because of that I think ETFs should exist.

It's someone own choice to rather hold Bitcoin or Bitcoin ETF and I'm among those people who will Hold Bitcoin or a good altcoin instead of holding Bitcoin ETF. Others might have differing opinion and ideas about those ETFs but for me they're only good because they are promoting Bitcoin for us, nothing else than that.
930  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi | Project status & Refund Plan! on: February 03, 2024, 12:19:59 PM
Hopefully, these people will be able to return the funds that are due to them, according to what the Betnomi team said. I hope that Betnomi will make an announcement on this matter so that their users will not think badly about it.
We all hope that but they haven't refund anyone yet even after announcing that they're going to refund all the users who have lost their funds on Betnomi. They were doing great business back then but once users have lost their funds now it's really hard to trust a platform like that.

However, if they keep up their promises and somehow manage to refund the players then they might get some respect in eyes of those who consider them as scammers. I know they won't be able to regain the trust of the community once again but for sure they will at least be appreciated for the refunds.

931  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FUN] Is DdmrDdmr even human? on: February 03, 2024, 10:44:00 AM
it is not possible by selenium because I keep my sleep time 1 sec for the page to load fully. and @ddmrddrmr sends 1.2 merits per sec on average.
in middle of the spree i will get stopped because of internet connection or page will not load.
You should try headless browser in order to increase the speed. I'm not sure it's going to be the solution for you but you should at least give it a try. A few weeks ago I used some Selenium scripts via a headless browser and the speed was improved a lot with it.
932  Other / Meta / Re: If I'm Satoshi Nakamoto How do I prove it? on: February 03, 2024, 09:19:52 AM
You gave a bad example as you are comparing Satoshi who is anonymous to someone who is not. Fake AI generated videos are still circulating at large while he is still in the public eye. They are not so good now whereas they will be unrecognizable in the coming 10 years. This makes me question why would he leave the limelight that he has now and come back after 10 years only to be part of the limelight again Grin.
That was just an example, it could be anyone else as well not only Elon Musk, but surely if you read it again then you will find that I gave a valid example because these days AI is getting much advance especially the AI where someone can swap another person's face and make it movable.

I know Elon Musk will not leave the limelight but just think if he does then surely many people will try to make his reappearance by using fake AI generated videos. I know Satoshi is anonymous and that's why each time someone claims to be Satoshi while Elon Musk isn't anonymous but man AI is getting smarter each day and those who can use AI can make fake videos of Elon Musk or someone else that disappears just as an example. If I'm not wrong then Jack Ma also disappeared from limelight for many weeks.

I'm sure that in coming 5 years it would be impossible for us to differentiate between AI generated videos and the real ones. The GPU's are getting beefy each year with extra VRAM and graphics power and now with extra AI acceleration. AI based software just love that extra VRAM and with more VRAM the editors who use AI video editing can increase the resolution of the images and that will make face swapping totally look like real.

933  Other / Meta / Re: The effect the mixer ban has had on the forum. on: February 03, 2024, 05:41:21 AM
~Snip~
I think you're right that all those campaigns migrated to that platform because they can't promote their services on this forum anymore due to the ban. I'm not going to favor any of those services and I really don't know that if you're right or not because you said that most of the m!xing services are owned by the same person.

But, as far as I know then I think that those m!xers aren't owned by a single person, the reason I'm saying this is because if a single person owns a m!xing platform then he may try his best to promote that single platform by spending as much money on advertising as possible.

But in this case, all those platforms that migrated to that forum are spending money separately for advertising of their services on that forum and it won't be feasible for a single person to spend that much money on advertising of multiple services.
934  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk is Broken for me and I have No idea how to fix it on: February 02, 2024, 06:45:39 PM
Hey bro now that your problem is solved, kindly lock this thread so no one can post more suggestions on this thread. Best of luck!
935  Other / Meta / Re: Where can I post invite codes? on: February 02, 2024, 06:43:29 PM
No, it's not allowed to post your invite codes on this forum in posts or threads, but you may be able to set that invite code on other fields that are available to newbies.

However, as a newbie you may not be able to put that invite code on your Signature space or personal text but if you continue posting good stuff on this forum then you might get a merit from someone.

In order to be a Jr member you'll have to earn a merit and have 30 activity points and then you can post your invite code via your personal text and via your signature space.

I'm not fully sure but I think if you purchase cooper membership then your account will provide some of the features of member rank and you might be able to set signature.
936  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 02, 2024, 06:24:33 PM
This is Quetta Airport, Pakistan

The panaflex in first photo is holding image of Famous Princess of Hope. Anyone familiar with this  can figure out the airport.

Yeah, I think it can be also seen in the picture because there's written in text Quetta Airport and Quetta is a city in Pakistan and province of Baluchistan.
937  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 02, 2024, 12:38:38 PM
I'm not sure why but I don't like to watch serials.  I will try if they come highly-recommended though Smiley
I'm also like you, I don't like watching serials and also movies these days but sometimes I do enjoy watching a few serials and movies. I basically watch most of those either on Netflix or on Prime Video, ah crazy me but sometimes I also watch anime which remind me of my childhood days.

In current serious my favorite one is The Witcher serious, and Boys series. However, I have watched so many serious in past, can't really have much time for those in present days but surely we can find some good ones on Netflix and Prime Video.

I wonder is there any series especially devoted to Bitcoin or crypto-users? If there's one kindly suggest me, I would love to watch that one because for that one I have unlimited time to spend. Ah, I haven't watched Game of Thrones yet and I think I won't watch it anytime soon.
938  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit refuse to send me back my deposits on: February 02, 2024, 11:14:41 AM
Sorry for your loss make but I'm pretty sure you won't get your money from 1xBit because that site is a shady one and they have been doing this with their users for a long time. I suggest you to be careful next time from casinos like 1xBit because they only earn money by scamming users like you and no one is able to stop them.

We here on Bitcointalk always suggest users to avoid 1xBit but unfortuantely those who aren't active on this forum don't really know that how shady that casino is. I recommend you to learn from your mistake and never ever play on that casino again.
939  Other / Meta / Re: Request: New Local Board for Pakistan (Urdu) on: February 02, 2024, 11:08:46 AM
Pakistan Local community is one of most active one on this forum and deserves a separate board, which they will get very soon.
Very true the community has been active on this forum for many years and they deserve to get a separate local board, I think Theymos is very busy in handling this forum and other tasks in his life that's why he can't devote much time to make those changes on this forum these days but he will surely one day create a separate board for Pakistani people and for Urdu speakers.

The Pakistan's local board has been active not only for days but for years and if they continue being active just like that then there's 100% chance for them to get their own local board. I wish that Pakistani people who are active on their local board and are active on this forum may get their local board so they can also create threads on their local board and promote more awareness about Bitcoin in their own community. Best of luck from my side!
940  Other / Meta / Re: If I'm Satoshi Nakamoto How do I prove it? on: February 02, 2024, 11:02:34 AM
I believe Satoshi is long dead, his legacy will forever live.
That's what came in my mind, I believe only a few people who could be Satoshi Nakamoto are not alive anymore. Only one person who's still alive can be Satoshi Nakamoto but he totally rejects that he's Satoshi or he has created Bitcoin and that's why Satoshi won't reappear and anyone who claims 100's of times that he's Satoshi is just an impostor.

I also agree that even if someone signs a message from Satoshi's wallets I would also not trust that person. Satoshi is still alive in our heart and that's the best place for him I guess. Long live Satoshi in our hearts and in our emotions, you're a true genius and only genuine master of cryptography!
